sorry for my absence last week. as many of you know i am traveling through europe with fellow tx-comics creators cameron stewart and karl kerschl attending various stores, shows, and festivals. if you’d like to see the full agenda please visit my travel-blog.

the past week saw me in portugal attending the amadora festival, of which i will post photos of shortly. however during my stay i have been unable to find and interest connectivity that didn’t cost more than a potential home mortgage. luckily a few local artists have allowed me to use their internet this afternoon.

due to the ramping schedule of upcoming shows i am unable to continue updating the squash til1l i return to canada in early december. if you have ever been interested in doing a bns guest strip now would be the time

so, i’m in poland for the lodz festival as many of you know.

i had hoped to finish all the butternuts rob and i had jumped ahead on before i left. alas, with my crazy schedule that was not to be… so they sat inked, flatted and dialogued waiting for me to finish the colours. i had hoped to tackle colouring them on my macbook once in poland. well, i forgot my tablet and am definitely not dextrous enough to colour with a touch pad, and to boot my internet access has been very intermittent.

so, in an attempt to bring you the squash form afar i present you the unfinished squash in all it’s flat colour form…

once i return to canuckland i will render this and the next bunch of updates with tlc!

vince is a peculiar fellow. out of all my friends he was the last to get a cellphone and the last to get a computer, amongst many other things. being last is not always so bad though… you usually get the shiniest newest toys, and the last laugh. i think vinnie may be up to something…

I’ve been an avid reader of Scott’s work since i first came across it years ago when beginning BNS. I am now honoured at the opportunity to lend my own vision to PvP, a comic that has inspired and made me laugh through out the years. Thanks Scott.

a day late, my apologies. not a good precedent to set as we begin butternut’s return. the funny thing though, is that what made us late was work on more butternut and secret butternut developments… it’s all very peculiar, but i’ll fill you in when i can.

two points of note today:

1. we have a BNS FORUM located within the TX community forums if you’d care to banter with us or folks of similar ilk.

2. i will be attending the KOMIKS FESTIWAL in ŁODZ, POLAND! i am ridiculously excited! the festival marks the beginning of an exciting little european tour, more as things develop…

Hello everybody and welcome back to the Squash!

It’s been quite the hiatus, just shy of a year in fact. The reasons are plentiful for why we were away, but that’s all in the past so why bother. The time is now and we’re back for good! Rob and I have some grand plans for BNS which we plan to implement in the coming months before 2010 rolls around.

However, the most obvious change you may notice is BNS joining the ranks of the critically acclaimed webcomics collective Transmission-X, better known as TXcomics these days. I have been part of the group since it’s inception with KUKUBURI and it only felt right to bring the Squash over as well. Check out the other great comics TX has to offer when you have a moment.

In the near future we’re going to see the return of  ’ASK EVAN’ as the man himself is dying to share his wealth of useless knowledge, and ‘ROB’S RANT’ will also make it’s way back into the spotlight allowing out diminutive friend to verbally lash out at the world.

That’ll take us to 2010, whereupon we hope to do something a little extra special to take things to the next level… but I’ll have to hold off on telling you that for now
