Mentor. Having a mentor will do lot for you. Finding someone to take the time to help you move ahead in your personal life, and career life will be a little harder. There are those people who will help you when they see you are someone who is prepared to do to a little more than the rest.

The Right Look. You can only meet the right people when you look the right way. Just because you are studying does not mean you can go grunge. Stay casual because it is hard to study in a suit at a business course, for example, but keep your appearance clean and tidy. Do not go to extremes because that will make you appear false. You are a student, and don’t forget it.

Equipment. Equipment is everything today. It can be hard to get the best laptop when you are a student, but at the same time, buying second hand from sites like eBay will mean you can get yourself a great business phone (smartphone), and a great laptop. I prefer Apple, because they are just easier to use, and they are so smooth, and they improve your image. Everyone loves Apple. I have never owned a new Apple laptop, but I have always had a very good one. One that I bought second hand.

Get Involved. If you are serious about any study, you should get more involved. If you are studying business, approach a reputable company and look for some form of work experience. If you are dedicated, they might even put you on a business mobile phone plan because you have shown some dedication. You can pay yourself, and you will have a huge amount of data and airtime. Showing dedication can lead to many things.

Online Work. Social media is your way to get your profile out there. Many people use Facebook for constant chatter. You should be using Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Google+, as an absolute minimum. Build up your relationships and spend your time wisely on these sites. Too much time, and too much posting will not get you anywhere.
