How to fix Blue Screen of Death Error?

This method is applicable to any laptop that’s facing a blue-screen error at any point of windows startup.

What is it?

As you probably know that blue screen error happens for various reasons and many of them are unknown to normal users who don’t get too deep in this computer thing.

If you just open your computer and work for few hours (minutes) regarding typing, managing data sheets, content management or even just enjoy your time on the web, there is no way you’d come across the reasons behind a blue-screen error.

The screen would just turn blue, show you that ‘the system has experienced some problems and needs to shut down’ and would dump some garbage data, which would just pass over your head leaving you utterly annoyed and confused as to what just happened.

Hard Disk May Also Cause Blue-Screen Error

Right now, I’ll be talking about blue-screen error that is caused by a new hard-disk in new laptops and for this article; I’ll be specific with Dell Inspiron 15r N5010 because I have recently fixed blue-screen error that was being caused by Western Digital hard disk in this laptop.

How to know the Reason?

The best way to find out the reason is to turn the system on in ‘safe mode’. Safe mode will only load necessary drivers for your system to work.

While running your system in Safe Mode you’ll lose Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G (if supported) and any rich graphics. You can work on the internet, if you choose Safe Mode with Networking.

To start your Inspiron 15r (and other) in safe mode, press F8 (it’s kind of universal, but don’t bet on it) at boot screen.

If for some reason you fail to invoke the advanced start-up options screen (by F8), quickly restart your system via turning the power off by power button.

Diagnosis Check will tell you Hard Disk Failure, if any!

Press F12 (for Inspiron 15r, ESC in many others) to enable boot options. You’ll see several boot options like CD/DVD, Hard Disk, LAN, USB Drive (if connected) and Diagnosis (there might be more depending on model and bios).

This diagnosis check will tell you if your hard disk is accessible or not. It will check your processors and RAM as well, so, you might want to let it run till it is complete. It takes 35 minutes if you include RAM check, otherwise, only 5 minutes.

How to Fix Blue-Screen Error?

If you can work in safe mode then there is nothing wrong with your Hard Disk and you just have to uninstall your graphics driver (most of the time, it is the main cause) and reinstall it.

However, if you can’t even get to that phase and are cut when waiting for the drivers to load, then your hard disk has failed to start the OS and you need to ‘Format’ your disk and reinstall your OS.

There is one more problem in blue-screen error, sometimes a faulty HDD will not let you install a new OS even if you boot from a DVD or USB drive or LAN for that matter. The system will show a blue-screen, dumb some garbage data collected while the OS was installing and shut down.

In this case, your best bet is to connect your entire hard disk to another computer as a USB storage device.

You are quite aware of the fact that current hard disks are plug and play ready and there is no format required when you connect it to your ‘other system’. That’s why; you don’t have to worry about losing your data. In fact, this method will enable you to backup your important data.

Finally Format your Root Drive

That’s right; you don’t have to format all drives. Once you connect your laptop’s hard disk to your other system, all the drives will pop-up one by one, just have a little patience.

You can format your faulty root drive from Windows context menu or from Command Prompt, you can perform a quick format with context menu (as well as complete) and a full (not quick) format by Command Prompt.

Don’t get confused when several drives popup in your My Computer window, naming your drives accordingly is a good idea to avoid any confusing situations.

Once you are done formatting and backing up your data, you can reinstall your hard disk in your laptop and reinstall an operating system with DVD, USB drive or LAN, as you wish.

Remember, you don’t have to do this every time you see a blue-screen error. Sometimes blue-screen error occurs for some very stupid reasons (even a simple restart can fix it) and it’s a nice practice to have an earlier image of your clean OS somewhere (on a DVD), so that, if the problem is only related to some software or driver, you can easily fix it without going through all the trouble of opening your laptop and messing up with the warranty.

Even then, the method said above is super easy and fixes the problem without the help of a technician and saves you heck lot of time.

How to boost Windows 7 performance?

Well, First of all, you have to open RUN {keep it handy (right click the status bar>properties>start menu tab>customize>scroll down to RUN COMMAND > click the box > click OK > click OK again for the final window (There is no need to click on Apply, when you click on OK button, your changes are automatically applied.) > Open Start and look at the bottom right, the Run command is available for a handy use.}

Step 1 :
Type in the Run Command , MSCONFIG (caps doesn't matter) > a User Account Control window should open asking your permission to continue > click CONTINUE > You will be taken to a next window > SYSTEM CONFIGURATION > (now the main part) > click on BOOT tab > Put the timeout seconds (right) from 30 seconds to 3 seconds (you cannot put less than 3) > Don't Click 'make boot setting permanent' cause may be you wan't to change them later > click STARTUP tab > These are the programs that run and cause slowdown when you start your computer > click DISABLE ALL (Disabling all programs doesn't provide any harm to your computer, but if you want to specifically run a program then have a look on the list and only ENABLE that program that you want to run)> Now just hit the OK button and when prompted, click EXIT WITHOUT RESTART.
Step 2 :
Now open CONTROL PANEL > open DEVICE MANAGER > you are going to Disable all the hardwares that you really don't use > Be Careful > you have to DISABLE them NOT UNINSTALL them. > Right click on the hardware, Like you don't use Dial Up Connection, i.e. for fax or internet rather you use your broadband hardware > Click on the MODEM'S hardware > it will list the driver for it > Just Right Click on it and Choose DISABLE. > you may do the same thing with your camera hardware if you don't use it or with your wi-fi hardware (listed as wireless lan) if you don't have wi-fi running around > THE GOOD PART IS > WHENEVER YOU NEED YOUR HARDWARE, JUST ENABLE IT FROM DEVICE MANAGER AGAIN.
Step 3 :
Now Choose your Battery mode to HIGH PERFORMANCE.
Step 4 :
Right click on Computer on the desktop > You already know this window, listing your computer main components i.e. OS, Ram, etc. > Click on ADVANCED SYSTEM SETTINGS > give permission to continue > click on VISUAL EFFECTS tab > and click ADJUST FOR BEST PERFORMANCE > you will see that all the checked items have been unchecked (no need to worry) > click on ADVANCED tab > you are going to change the virtual memory > DESELET automatically manage... > Now click on C: and click CUSTOM SIZE > (since page file take a hidden size of your hard disk, you need to adjust the size with that ) I have 40gb for my C: hence I'll do this > for initial size TYPE 2048 > Click on Maximum Size TYPE 2048 again. > Click SET (you have assigned 2gb page file memory for C:). Do the same with the other drives. YOU MAY CHANGE THE VALUE TO 4096 (4GB) IF YOU HAVE MORE DISK SPACE IN YOUR DRIVE, CAUSE PAGE FILE WILL TAKE THAT MUCH SPACE OF YOUR HARD DISK [So don't panic if suddenly 2gb space of your hard disk gets filled with nothing].
You have assigned a total virtual memory of 4gb ( 2gb per drive i.e. c: and D:). A maximum of 4gb to 5gb per drive is ideal. Don't try and make it to 8 or 10 gb per drive. It won't help anything, rather it will only eat up your disk space.
Step 5 :
When you are done with setting the Virtual memory, the window says, you have to restart the computer to take the changes effect. But look at this point. When you press ok, your whole theme selection i.e. Aero or any other have been changed to Windows 98. But don't worry you will change it later to Aero. BUT DON'T DO THAT NOW.
Restart your computer. When you are ready again, you'll see a little notification on the right telling you that windows blocked something. That is the system configuration utility. Click on the notification > Manually click on the Program and when the utility box appears click on the CHECK BOX THAT APPEARS ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE BOX.
So now, all of your changes are saved, your total page file memory have been increased to 4gb (if you have assigned 2gb for 2 drives), none of the annoying startup and slowing programs are going to open without your own manual clicking.
The Last thing is to enable the aero again. You already know it. Right click on the desktop > choose PERSONALIZE > Click WINDOWS COLOR AND APPEARANCE > Click WINDOWS AERO theme > Click OK.
That's it. You have got a faster booting system with Aero enabled and a new logical thing to choose which programs you want to run on windows startup.
Step Last :
This is your wishing step. You can defragment your hard disks for even more smooth computing. You may choose any free and light weighted program. As for my review I would recommend this. AusLogics Disk Defragmenter. It is simple and light. Just Defragment your Hard Disks and enjoy great computing with Aero enabled.

Assassin Creed 2 Review

I have recently finished Assassin’s Creed 2 PC game and I can only say one thing, ‘This game has made its position in my top ten most favorite PC games list’.

I do not know about you friends, but I sure loved the environment that Assassins’ Creed presented in front of me. However, due to my incompetent rig, I could not take full advantage of all the graphics of this game.

However, I could still feel the vastness and fun that Assassin’s Creed 2 has to offer. Here are some of my views on the game. You must read them:

1. The Gameplay, I mean original storyline, was vast enough to engage me for two consecutive days. Since it was new to me (I missed Assassins Creed), I could not complete some missions in first trial.

2. I loved stealth missions, they were just too absorbing for me and I want to play some of them once again. Tell you what! I was actually replaying those couple of hours ago.

3. I seriously hate that protagonist. Not because of his actions (I was the one performing themJ) but because of his face. I mean, I just did not like him when I first saw him. He does not look like an Assassin to begin with.

4. I want to tell you that when I look at Metal Gear Solid’s protagonist. He sure looks like a ‘man of words’ to me. Now, If you are getting confused that I am into that ‘muscle’ thing, then I want to talk about Niko Bellic from GTA IV (I just love PC games, don’t judge me by GTA IV), he didn’t have even an ounce of muscle on him, it was justified because he was from army, but the point is, I really liked him. He used to give a straight impression of an immigrant, so…. Assassin Creed 2’s hero, Desmond, could be more like an Assassin rather than being a local guy.

5. Then, I liked the surprise ending of the game that gives a straight clue to Assassins Creed 3. However, I know this thing for sure; they will take a hell lot of time to create another sequel. But, I think that it’s worth waiting.

6. This game was lacking some travelling means. I mean, Venice was a vast city and you could choose from only some handpicked ‘travelling stations’ and they would let you travel across countries or just some gates of the city.

7. I used to wonder when I could not get my horse to enter the city’s gate. Why was it anyway? Why can you not take your horse with you in the city? Remember the Pope, who betrayed the city. He fled on his horse!! Why can we not just wander around on our horse? It would make our travels inside the city much easier.

8. There is one more thing that I missed a lot. When we were introduced to the armor of Altair. Our uncle told us some very fancy thing about it, as if it was very strong and powerful! However, when we acquire it finally after collecting all those six shields, there was not much strength in the armor. Our sword was just as fast and strong as it was with previous armor. The new armor did not provide us some new capabilities either.

I could still go on with my likes and dislikes with Assassins Creed 2, but I think that I have conveyed pretty much everything that I wanted to.

How to write articles in 5 minutes - Part II?

If you came directly to this post then you must not miss the first part – click here (link to part 1).

After improving your typing speed (and if you have followed the steps sincerely then your speed must be doubled), you need to focus on how to create articles while thinking about the material simultaneously.

You see, when I asked about writing what interests you most (see part I), I was sure that you would not bother about thinking it or optimizing it or making it better.

However, when you publish something with a professional sense then you need to think while you are writing as well.

Therefore, here is what you need to do:

1. Research your material when you are feeling really fresh and jolly. This is very important, when you are fresh and in good mood, ideas will pop into your mind and you will be able to do some fruitful research for your topic.

2. Many Article directories can help you in your research. Remember you should only take the material as a reference from there. After all, you want to post a unique article, don’t you?

3. You need to make notes of headline or a bit of summary as you research. Open up ‘notepad’ application. Since this tool is nice and light, it will open up quickly and there will be no distraction, this includes spelling mistakes or grammar or anything else.

4. When you are done researching for your matter, you can quit it and take a break. By this time, you have an idea, some main points, a concrete research and a proof of what you are going to convey to your readers.

5. Now, you must go back to your typing session again. This time, no more stories or poems, only work and quality articles.

Note: Remember! Do not research again as you type because internet can become the most distracting thing sometimes (may be every time). If you go back to research the material again then it is likely that you will lose the track of time and never be able to complete your article in five minutes.

Write Articles Quickly

Hi friends, it is true that there is no better option to boost your sales and visitors than ‘article marketing’!

Article marketing has become so powerful and dependable that you do not need any third party services to boost your conversions or ranks of your blog or website.

Therefore, at this point you must be wondering about how to create a quality article without spending a complete day on it. Because you know this already, that article marketing can only benefit you if you can type numerous articles in less time.

So read on to learn about how I create an article within just 5 minutes:

1. Things you’ll need:

a. A digital stopwatch – so that you do not have to write the writing time on paper.

b. A keyboard with low-profile keys – so that you can type at your full speed.

c. In addition, a heart to practice until you get your goal - without this, you will never be able to write an article in just five minutes.

2. I have mentioned only those things that you would need to calculate your timings and improve them as you work your way and practice more and more.

3. First, you need to improve your typing speed. It must be above 30 WPM (words per minute), means you should be able to write a word in just two seconds.

4. Let us say that we want to create multiple articles of 300 words each. Here is a little calculation for that.

a. If you have a typing speed of 30+ wpm then you’ll be able to type your articles in less than 10 minutes.

b. However, our goal is to type the same article in just five minutes.

5. Here’s what you need to do:

a. Start the stopwatch and type something that interests you most. For some people, it could be writing diary or writing stories, poem, or anything.

b. We want to improve our typing speed and if we select something, that does not appeal us then not only we will type slowly because of boredom but also, we will quit it before even we finish our first ten minutes.

c. So, type as fast as you can and look at the stopwatch. You have to reset it after every 10 minutes. However, do not reset it completely; you need the writing time for a one-hour session.

d. After resetting it, quickly look at the bottom of your MS Word, it will show you how many words you have typed. Type the number of words right there and move on to write for another 10 minutes.

e. Exactly after one hour, you need to stop typing. Grab something to eat or drink and refresh yourself.

f. When you come back, look at your session and calculate your typing speed. Since we set our duration as 10 minutes. It would be easier to determine the typing speed. Just put a decimal after leaving one digit from right.

For example, I can type 550 words in ten minutes, so my typing speed is 55 wpm.

6. Repeat these steps regularly and if you are in hurry to increase your typing speed then you can take 1hr sessions three times a day. It is like a pill that can increase your typing skills for sure.

How to add an image in signature in Gmail?

If you like to put your signature at the end of your mails then a picture signature would be just great to get a professional look.

You can add any image in your signature; it can be the image of your company’s name, or your blog or yourself or your loveliest thing. So, do you want to know about how to do it? Read on then:

1. Open your Gmail account and head for ‘settings’ tab on the top of your screen.

2. Scroll down until you see the signature option. If you used to put nothing in your email then your default selection would be ‘No Signature’.

3. Click on the radio button that shows your email-address. You can only add signature to just one email address. However, there are always other ways, just Google them and you will know.

4. Now you can use Google’s rich text editor to create a wonderful signature with a picture.

5. However, I must tell you at this point that you can only add an image that is hosted on the web. It is disappointing but you cannot upload pictures from your computer.

6. However, you do not need to get disappointed. You can always upload them to third party sites like Flikr, Flixya, Google Picasa, Photobucket, eSnips, etc. and even at your own server.

7. As long as the URL is valid and working, you can add it to ‘Add an Image’ dialog box of Google Signature.

8. Once you have added your image to editor, you will be able to add a hyperlink so that if your recipients find it interesting. They will click it and you will get views for whatever you want. It can be your business (blog in my case) or any funny picture of yours.

9. Once you are done making changes to your signature. Hit ‘Save Changes’ at the bottom of the ‘settings’ page.

10. Be happy; now whenever you compose an email, just type in whatever you want to shout about. Your signature will be embedded automatically at the end of the page. You can change the size of the image or remove it or if you have added a hyperlink then you can edit it or remove it as well.

Does everything has a reason? - A Short Story

Does everything has a reason?

'Why on earth do you believe in God?' my friend said after a long chat in café. 'Listen! Not everything in this world has a reason to begin with', I said when I had nothing else to say or put a fact.

My words were like I was hanging on a leaf to save myself from drowning. A long silence followed between us in which neither of us said anything. After all, some things really don't have a reason at all.

That's why I am writing this piece right now. If everything were for the sake of questions and answers, I don't think we would be the way we are now.

My friend was moved when he watched George Carlin's show, 'It's bad for ya'! He came straight towards me and started questioning like an interviewer. Everything went well until we came to our good old topic, God and religions.

He asked me those questions that I never thought in my life, never questioned about them from anyone. Not even from my parents who were the source of this knowledge of God and religion.

He cornered me with a line which is worth mentioning here. 'Have you ever thought that we (human) are the only species who have killed our own kind more than any other species on this earth?'

I obviously did not know what to say, he told me that the line was from George Carlin's show.

We left the café after a silence of 15 minutes. I don't know if I was infuriated by his vast knowledge or my lack of knowledge. I couldn't help myself from saying, "Everything in this world can't be explained with your Science!!"

Was I wrong when I said that or was I merely trying to escape the fact that I knew nothing about the things I thought I knew? In any case, I am now thinking whether everything in this world that is happening or about to happen has a reason from the very start!

May be or may be not! I do have reason for several things that I do in my daily life. I've a job and reason is I want to earn money; reason, I want to buy things I like or need; reason, I can't live without them or feel happy with those things around me; reason, .......... (silence)!

Now when I think about it, the only reason that made me shake was, why on earth do I want to be happy?!

Pretty lame question isn't it? Well that's what made me feel a bit better after the horrifying interviewing session with my friend.

Surround Sound Modes in Sony DAV – DZ310

Sony DAV DZ310 5.1 Channel Home Theatre surround sound modes

I am now a proud owner of a wonderful 5.1 channel home theatre that is, Sony DAV – DZ310. It’s not too pricey when you think about the performance it offers and clearly it outruns many competitors for that price range.

I was also thinking about getting a Yamaha, but it was a bit more expensive than Sony. In any case, now that I have this sound system, I have only few things to say about it.

Let’s start with surround sound modes in this home theatre. DAV – DZ310 features 6 surround sound modes and here they are:

1. AFD Multi – Auto Format Direct Multi

With this mode activated you don’t have to worry about the source. The system plays the surround sound depending on what type the source is providing.
Means, if your source is providing 2.1 channel then it will be played likewise. You’ll still be able to hear all speakers except for the front one.

Since, this mode enhances the compressed audio source, it provides loudest sound or I should say that you should choose this mode if you are playing some recorded media, like by mobile, pc (with 3.5 mm jack and not with HDMI), etc.

2. Pro Logic

3. Pro Logic II Movie

4. Pro Logic II Music

As the name suggests, these 3 modes are from Dolby Pro Logic technology that provides amazing sound. It doesn’t shriek and make your heart fail; in fact it slowly fills up the room with surround sound.

Pro Logic is for actual 5.1 channel source, so you should only enable this mode if you are absolutely sure that your source was encoded with 5.1 channel recorder. There is a catch however, if you have connected the system to your pc or laptop via 3.5 mm jack (by composite to 3.5 mm jack cable, it’s way cheaper than other options), then you would not hear other speakers, only front one works and outputs the sound.

That’s why it becomes seriously suppressed and dull. So, in this case, where you can’t connect your theatre with pc via HDMI or composite cable for digital output, you should always select AFD Multi mode because it enhances the suppressed signals coming from your 3.5 mm jack.

Pro Logic II Movie mode provides excellent bass effect and outputs every dialogue with great clarity. Obviously, you need to play your source file via CD/DVD, USB drive, HDMI cable or composite/component cable.

Pro Logic II Music is optimized for music playback and only differs in bass effect. Rest is the same.

Again, for best sound, you should choose any of these except composite/component cable.

5. 2CH Stereo

This should be your least favorite option, because it is only worth activating when you don’t plan on installing surround sound speakers. Because, when you select this mode, the sound (even Multi-channel) is down-mixed to 2 channel and you will get output with only your front speakers and subwoofer.

6. AFD STD – Auto Format Direct Standard

This is a version of Auto Format Direct mode that does to enhance the sound; it presents the sound as it is. If it was recorded dimly then you won’t hear ‘wow’ sound. In fact, I prefer to use the first mode (AFD Multi), because for one thing, I have my DAV-DZ310 connected with 3.5 mm jack and for other, I don’t have to worry about the sourc

This mode auto adjusts the sound and delivers the best there is, even if means enhancing the original source’s sound.

However, you won’t hear your surround sound speakers; the output comes from only front ones and subwoofer, just like 2CH Stereo.

In any case, I still recommend that you grab an HDMI cable or at the very least a composite or component cable for digital output and have fun with Dolby Pro Logic.

Use multiple cloud storage services for maximum free space online

All right then, this is not a trick or hack. This is just a plain and simple solution for people who do not want to create several email addresses to gain some extra free space online to store their files online or like we call it as, Cloud Storage.

Many services offer a seriously large amount to store our files like aDrive, which offers 50 GB but there is a catch (read on to find out). Therefore, if you want to gain some extra free space, you should join every cloud storage service that I am going to list here. I am not talking about some 100 or 150 GB free space, but it would be more than 60 GB all right? In addition, that is probably enough for your personal files and videos that you certainly do not want to lose.

1. Dropbox- As you know that Dropbox has improve itself quite well with the latest update, Dropbox 1.0 RC with its new feature of selective update where you can select which folder to continually monitor, so that you can control the bandwidth while Dropbox tries to sync your files.

Dropbox offers only 2 GB storage but that is so lucrative (feature wise) that you might want to upgrade as soon as possible. However, due to various reasons many people cannot upgrade their membership. Here comes the referral method, but many people do not want to be tangled in all that referral thingy.

That is why; there is no other way than to join other services, if you want to have just one email address in all of them. That will save you from remembering different email accounts from which you signed up those services.

2. SugarSync – It has increased its free space from 2 GB to 5 GB and it is working seriously fine too. It offers many other features that are better than other cloud storage services and you might want to upgrade your membership (saying it again). Therefore, after creating an account with SugarSync, your total free space will be 7 GB. Now, let’s move on to few more services so that you can have some fine free space that you can count on, in case you run out of free space from these two services.

3. Windows live mesh – It offers 5 GB free space and since it is from Microsoft, you can always count on their servers (just saying it). You can login with your Live credentials. Services and features are just as same as others are and after joining this one; your total space will be 12 GB.

4. Zumo Drive – it offers 2 GB free space and though, it is not that much famous, but you can save some not-so-important files that you can spare to lose. For all of those important documents, you should count for above three services. They offer protected security so that you can save some of your company or business documents without any worries.

5. aDrive – It offers 50 GB of free space and there is only one catch. You’ll miss many features, like FTP upload, desktop app for managing your files from desktop, protected security, etc. All of these goodies are available for premium members only.

They do offer Java upload tool via your web browser, but come one, it’s not as fast as an FTP program.

In any case, you can save your videos (again, which are not very precious) and some music files that you want to hear again and again and don’t want to search every time you use some new computer or a new smart-gadget (includes all gadgets like Smartphones, pads, etc.)

Now, there you have it, after join these five services (there are more too), you will have 64 GB of free space. Now all you need to do is categorize them in order to your ease of access.

For example, if you like, the simple and elegant look of Dropbox then you can save your most precious yet small files in that service; some less precious, yet still important files can follow the lead of SugarSync with its 5 GB of storage limit.

I think I made myself clear enough, so let us finish this thing and tell me if you need anything reviewed before you try it yourself.

In my quest to find a great speaker system, I had to finally move to Sony home theatre system and you could not call this quest as speaker system only! Why? Because after hearing Sony DAV-TZ 210 I had to admit that even if I did not have any use of that DVD player, I was so mesmerized by the quality of the this home theatre system that I had to finally end my quest and buy it! Yeah friends! I have finally bought a speaker system that can now be called as a 5.1 channel home theater speaker system and it is just awesome.

You see, I am only reviewing DAV-TZ 210 here because according to the dimensions of my room, this system was perfect and to tell you the truth, it totally rocked the damn floor. If I had gotten other big players (in budget and its predecessors) like DAV-DZ 310 or DAV-TZ 510 then it would have been just a waste of extra money because though they were awesome in themselves I had simply no need to purchase any one of them because my room could not hold them. After all, we can only hear best sound when we choose a perfect speaker system according to the dimensions of our room.

Therefore, here I am talking about DAV-TZ 210 and you can consider this review for its other big brothers too. The only difference would be the total RMS power (600, 850, and 1000 respectively) and the size of your room.

So… let us hear it:

The speakers deliver amazing clarity from every corner of the room.

Dynamic bass is just too much to handle. I can feel the vibrations crawling under my feet and it sure rocks the floor.

Movies and games sound awesome because nearly all of them are 5.1 ready and some games are 7.1 ready and they delivered great sound experience.

As for music, not every song was 5.1 channel ready because I had some old songs too. However, some new songs just dived right into my heart and I have to say that when I heard those songs on Altec Lansing and Logitech, I felt some distortion going on and thought that my songs were not up to the task.

However, when I played them on this bad boy, they felt like they were retouched by awesomeness. I am not bragging here friends, it is an awesome purchase and I am sure as hell I am not going to regret it.

As for price point of view, you can grab them for Rs.12999/- or if you have some sort of access to some cheesy discount, you can have it for only Rs.1150/- and that is my friend, is a real sweet deal.

Therefore, all these points are valid for all three brothers. I have heard all of them and as the product number rises, the sound quality becomes more awesome. You can grab any of them depending on your requirement.
Not all three of these support every feature as DAV-TZ 210 does, so worry about choosing DAV-TZ 210 and missing out some features because you will not! In fact, since DAV-TZ 210 is latest, it actually some additional features than its predecessors. The only thing that you will be missing out would be Total RMS Power that I have already told you, must be chosen according to the environment around this home theater system, i.e. Sony DAV-TZ 210, DAV-DZ 310, DAV-DZ 510.

Ideas for Perfect Web Browser

I’ve been thinking about maintaining just one browser for all of my online work and leisure activities but it is just not possible. In some areas I liked Mozilla Firefox 4 (3.6 in some cases too) and in others, I care for Internet Explorer 9 beta (ditched IE 8 long ago), Safari, Opera 10.1 (right now I am sort of liking it) and Chrome (it’s fast but a bit boring too).

So, it wasn’t possible to ditch others and find a perfect browser, however, for the same I thought about what would be a perfect browser. Therefore, here are some views on the matter and since these are just my views, you’re more than welcome to provide your likes and dislikes over the matter in the comment section below.

Read on then:

1. Configurable speed dial like Opera, but not limited to only 25 sites. 25 sites may seem more than enough but for many webmasters it is not. For small screens 25 sites might become a forced reason because anything more will become just a cramped up start-up screen.

However, for larger screens (and don’t deny the possibilities here), 25 sites seem far less. In any case, this feature should be configurable. Many webmaster like to work with several sites right from the very start of the browser and this feature will save a lot of time.

Also, rather than saving the home screen (web screen) of a particular webpage, the icon should display the name of that webpage in bold letters for a quick glance (again, should be configurable with web-screen too)

2. To enhance this feature further, voice recognition can become a cherry on the top.

3. As for interface, this ‘perfect browser’ should come with a control panel that can detect the performance of the system and then activate the ‘perfect’ interface according to the processor, ram, graphics card, etc.

This will make the boot-time even faster and will be accepted by many systems happily depending on their prestige. I mean there is a heck lot of price difference between my Dell Inspiron 15r and Alienware Mx 14, so if this ‘browser’ can leverage that power, then it would be awesome.

4. Configuring CSS for WebPages depending on internet connection – “Though the world is changing and freakishly awesome internet speed is roaming around the globe”, many people will continue to use GPRS in near future as well.

This CSS idea came to me when I was working on my blog with Airtel’s gprs connection, after writing my post, I hit ‘publish’. The next thing I knew, all the CSS scripts were gone (except for some) from the Wordpress’s interface and only blue lines with hyperlinked text were there.

I was wondering how clean everything was looking at that time. Though I wasn’t able to drag and drop things, I could easily work with my posts and other things that were not so much ‘flashy’ and did I mention that everything got really fast? Well… it certainly did?

That was some error of course, but for great web masters out there, this thing is worth a thought.

5. App creation support – This one is more like ‘I can’t think of anything else’. I am talking about creating an app for those sites that we visit seriously a lot and they are not like Facebook or Twitter where you can get app for Android, iPhone, Symbian, Blackberry pretty easily. I am talking about individual preferences, like I like to visit my friend’s site where he puts some very nice poems. With this app feature I will be able to convert his site for my android phone with just a click (for others, it can be iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, Symbian, Windows Phone 7 etc.)

Resident Evil: Afterlife Based on Resident Evil 5 Game

Resident Evil: After Life

I had to play Resident Evil 5 (PC version) to get myself to believe that more than ‘some’ scenes of Resident Evil Afterlife (fourth installment in Resident Evil movie series) were from the game and I am pretty sure right now.

Here are those scenes and there connection with the game:

· The big bad zombie monster in the movie with a badass axe-hammer was also at the very start of the game. However, in the game we couldn’t kill no matter how much we fired on him, he always kept coming back. But in the movie, one shot of a shotgun from Alice and his head exploded like a cracker.

· Also, those zombies now had their mouths just like the game. The tongue or whatever, would split and try to eat, just like the game you know and don’t forget those dogs at the end of movie, when Alice had finally had the chance to meet Wesker. Their heads would also split, again, ‘just like the game’.

· The villain of the movie, Wesker, was also the villain of the game and I don’t think that this is just a coincidence that both were doing the same thing, ‘testing the t-virus on normal people’.

· The fight at the very end of the movie also gives huge clues to the fight in the game where Chris and Sheva come crashing from the door and the fight begins with Wesker’s eyes glowing and throwing his glasses towards Chris.

Resident Evil 5

· To my surprise everything in the fight (in movie) got so close to the game that I forgot for one second that Alice was doing nothing else than standing. I also began to think that if they had not named these two characters in the Afterlife movie as Clair and Chrish, they would really want to name them as Sheva and Chris (they could stick with ‘Chris’ though, they only had to remove the ‘h’ from ‘Chrish’ in the movie).

· The fight and escape scenes were not too good because they left me thinking many things. One of them is how Alice’s ribs could survive after getting hit by that badass axe-hammer of that zombie thing.

After that, when Bennet takes off leaving everyone behind and Alice had no choice but to jump from that really tall building, she did it without so much as an ‘ouch’. Trust me, with only ‘bungee thing’ no human could survive that fall because when the movie started (a little after the fight at Umbrella with Alice’s clones), Wesker injected Alice with the antidote or something to make her human and she acknowledged it too, “Thanks, for making me human”.

· There were other things as well that disappointed me a lot. Like this movie started abruptly and ended without finishing anything. I still have a feeling that Wesker might be alive.

To be honest, I was desperately waiting for Resident Evil Afterlife. But now that I have seen it, I am not happy at all. It was just 1 and a half hour and still couldn’t get to the end. I mean, if Wesker wasn’t controlling Umbrella Corp. then who was?

Scientist is dead, Wesker is dead, I guess, all Alices are dead, there are more degenerate zombies than survivors and only one Alice, and she is now an ordinary human too. What on earth is going to happen in Resident Evil 5: The Movie? I guess there is no point in guessing around, let’s just wait and watch!

Alright, here I am going to talk about a windows utility that lets you play YouTube videos in background without the video element. Thus, you will only hear the sound, i.e. those video songs will serve as mp3 songs without any conversion.

So, now, the question arises, ‘Why on earth do you need an application like this?’

First of all, when you want to hear songs that you don’t have on your dear digital device, be it anything, you have to download it as free or purchase it online. Whatever are your preferences, you’ll still have to open your web browser and look for your desired song.

What is the worst thing that happens when you open a web browser? Isn’t it obvious!! You get tangled in the web of World Wide Web. I am talking about the natural habit of wandering in that sea of websites once you start searching your ways through Google, Yahoo, Bing, or other big search engines.

So, tell me, do you want to lose some precious time when you are creating some report. I know that concentration is necessary while doing work but there are people out there who claim to work more efficiently when their favorite tune is played in the background. And there are people who also claim that any new song can make them concentrate better.

I am no psychiatrist or something. But personally, I feel my productivity increase when I hear some sweet melodies. But can I get them everywhere? Yeah! Pretty much. But there are areas where I can’t! And this is where; you need to download videos from YouTube.

But what if you are not allowed to do that? Your only chance is to search them online and play them there and enjoy them for the moment. Here comes that worst part that I mentioned above, means, forgetting the real job and messing around the internet.

PCHand YouTube Downloader Pro vs. Internet Download Manager (IDM) Review

I’ve been using Internet Download Manager for downloading YouTube videos for the last 3 years. Since then, I never looked at any other software that was so dependable to download videos from YouTube. IDM is not expensive software and by far the lightest and fastest download manager I ever came across. I have also used DAP (Download Accelerator Plus), but it didn’t satisfy me. It could not grab YouTube videos or sometimes links from Rapidshare and Megaupload. I have also used Orbit and it worked well for a while but I had to switch back to IDM.

Few months ago, when IDM suddenly gave up on showing the ‘Download this video’ option for YouTube and other video hosting websites in Mozilla Firefox 4 beta, I had to find other softwares and came across many free YouTube video downloading softwares, like YouTube Downloader, Xilisoft Download YouTube Video, etc. and other paid softwares like PCHand YouTube Downloader Pro, Tube Sucker, etc. However, IDM got an update pretty soon that fixed the problem and I began liking it once again.

So, let me tell you the benefits of having IDM over PCHand YouTube Download Pro for this review and I might talk about others later someday:

Price Point of View

First thing first, IDM is a value for money in comparison to PCHand YouTube Downloader Pro. We can get IDM for $29.99 (or $24.95 if bought from Tonec Inc.) with all of its amazing capabilities, while for PCHand we have to pay $19.99. Now, keep this in mind that with PCHand you only get a YouTube video downloader while with IDM you get a whole package. So, only $4.96 extra for that complete package is totally worth it.

PCHand has definitely come up with the lightest YouTube downloader. So, I give a hand to it. Let’s move on to limitations with free versions of both software.

Limitations of Free Version

IDM

You get a 30-day working software. For a whole month we can download absolutely anything and everything without having to worry about number of downloads or size of files. It’s a really sweet deal. In 30-days, one can download numerous files, be it video, audio or any other. There is no stopping or other limitations attached with the free version of IDM or let me rephrase it to ‘no strings attached’.

PCHand

You can only download 10 video files from YouTube. Whether you do it in few minutes or take days, it won’t matter.

So, what would you want? A 30-day working trial without any limitation on many times you download or a limitation of 10 files only! I am sure that you would want to stick with IDM. IDM has always been famous for accelerating the speed of your internet well than other softwares out there. So, couple it with unlimited use and you’ve got a winner!

Features

IDM

IDM is truly a feature-rich software with respect to its size. You can schedule your downloads, limit the download and upload speed, manage queues, set a command when the download completes, batch downloads, etc. There is everything that you need to do with downloading files and when they added ‘Refresh download address’, downloading with IDM became bliss and I can’t tell you how many times this feature has saved my downloads from getting lost.

I would search for some file around the vast sea of Web and for some reason the server would reset the download address. So, the downloading would stop and if I could not find the file, the bandwidth and the file is lost. This little feature grabs the new address in seconds and updates it and the download resumes.

It works really well when I download something from Megaupload. Megaupload is pretty infamous for resetting the download address after some time so that people would buy its membership in order to gain unrestricted access. However, IDM worked over than thing too. I had to click on ‘Refresh download address’ only and since many downloads were ‘resumable’, downloading continued from where it was left.

Anyway, long story short, this feature works pretty well with YouTube videos as well. Sometimes even YouTube resets the download address of many video files.

As for downloading various formats (like FLV, HQ MP4, HD MP4 and Full HD MP4) from YouTube, you only have to select the format in which you want to download the video. Once the video starts playing, IDM will update the download address with the ‘address of the format that you are currently playing’. So, it’s not a big thing to download other file formats (than FLV) as well.

PCHand

As you already know, PCHand YouTube Downloader Pro works only for YouTube files, you can’t do anything else other than downloading videos from YouTube. So, where does it stand for this one thing?

It does not pack any features, none! Seriously! It has a simple interface with a field to put the URL of your video file, select the format that you want to download (FLV, MP4, HQ, HD, Full HD), Save to field and a Progress bar. Yep! That’s it.

It’s really simple for a software that costs $19.99 and it’s not worth it, because you won’t be able to control the download speed (in case you want to surf the web and the download is sucking up your speed), no scheduler, no after-download command and the ‘settings’ button includes only two options, ‘Language’ and ‘Check for Updates’.

Personally, I believe that that’s a lot of money for presenting such simple software with only one feature (downloading YouTube videos) and it’s not even free! I would prefer Xilisoft Download YouTube Video over PCHand YouTube Downloader Pro, at least it’s free!

However, it’s not as fast as IDM. Thus, we come to our final heading, ‘Performance’.

Performance

IDM

I downloaded Feel the Punch - Dilsukhnagar Arena - Award-Winning 3D Animation Short Film– 13.47 MB in exactly 3 min 21 sec on a 512Kbps broadband connection from YouTube.

PCHand

Same File – downloaded in exactly 3 min 41 sec on the same connection.

Conclusion

I think that you already know what the conclusion for this ‘little’ review is. IDM is a feature rich and light download manager that actually accelerates all types of downloads, while PCHand YouTube Downloader Pro is a just a simple YouTube video downloader and nothing else.

Right now, I would not recommend purchasing PCHand YouTube Downloader Pro because it lacks many features that are seriously needed. Especially ‘pause’ button, you get only ‘stop’ button and that’s just not right.

So, I can definitely encourage you to get IDM right away or just download it for 30-days, I can assure you that you’ll miss it after 30-days and will eventually purchase it.

Here, I am going to review three great website bookmarking service that are great for reading articles offline or online later on. Bookmarking helps us to find our pages faster and taking reference becomes easy in case we like to revisit the webpage. All our efforts and time on searching and going through websites on search engines are saved just because of these nice bookmarking sites. You already know many top bookmarking sites like Digg, Delicious, Technorati, etc. However, these sites work online and you have to be connected to the internet if you want to use their services.

Instapaper and Readitlater are different from these online services. They save your WebPages for offline viewing and you can search for other files knowing that you’re WebPages are safely downloaded by these sites for you. Kippt works online only. You don’t get to save your WebPages for offline reading, but the good thing about Kippt is that it doesn’t require any details about the WebPages, like tags or categories or anything. We’ll talk about how it a bit later.

So that was just a brief about what these websites offer. Now let’s get to some details. Trust me, I am not going to bug you with too much details, I am just going to point out some features and for this article, we’ll talk about Instapaper only.

They will provide you a bookmarklet that you can stick on your bookmarking toolbar. Be sure to enable bookmarking toolbar on your choice of web browser because all the beta versions of new web browsers from Mozilla, Microsoft and Opera disable their bookmarking toolbar for a faster boot time.

If your system is already fast enough, then you don’t need to worry about enabling your bookmarking toolbar (it won’t slow down your browser’s startup time).

Now that you have the bookmark, you can browse the web like you normally do and when you come across that you would like to read but don’t have enough time. Simply click on Read Later (the bookmark goes by this name) and the webpage will be added to your Read Later list.

Now whenever you want to read your WebPages, just open your Instapaper account (you don’t need a password, at login in screen, just type your email address and press Enter, you can set your password later). Once there you can read your WebPages however you like. You may download it for offline reading (for printing on pager, Kindle compatible format, ePub format and iDevices (from Apple) ready, you can view your WebPages like Text (without CSS script) with images and you can also send WebPages from Google Reader with this Read Later bookmarklet to Instapaper’s server.

Compatibility

Since Instapaper offers a bookmarklet, it is compatible with every browser (even beta versions) as long as you are fine with enabling bookmarking toolbar. However, you might want to know that currently this bookmarklet works with iPhone devices too. So you might want to head to Instapaper, click on Extras and scroll down to Instapaper for iPhone and iPad. Conclusion

Game Booster 2.0 Review

Game Booster 2.0 Review

If you are wondering that Game Booster 2.0 is worth a try or not, then boy have I got something to tell you or what!

Game Booster promises more than what it can deliver. I mean, you can’t seriously hope for playing a hardcore game just because you GB said you can!

In any case, GB 2.0 does help to improve the overall performance of your system by tweaking some things. So read on to get the drift and the software.

Game Booster did help to improve some performance and fps, but that’s not the whole story, if your system lacks some basic requirements, like minimum required hardware to run the game at least, you’ll still feel that there no other way than to buy a new system and then going for GB 2.0 would be pointless.

I am not making a joke or something; I am just saying that you can’t totally depend on GB 2.0 for an amazing game experience.

However, the interface looks ‘hot’ this time. Have a look:

Game Booster 2.0

The black and red roll down like Alienware does and it promises some very nifty improvements, however, the real thing is just a whole new story.

Now, as for adding your games to GB 2.0, there is a pop-up in the right-most corner of your screen where you can add as many games as you wish. You can just drag and drop shortcuts of your games and run it from there as well (just double click and the game will run).

Now, some options include Game Defrag (one of most important features of Game Booster) and Game Tools (you can view your system’s gaming hardware right here).

As for tweaking your system for optimum performance, you need to hit System Tweaks in the left side bar, but unfortunately, it turns out that you will need to purchase Game Booster 2.0 if you want to enable Top Performance for $9.99 only.

After using it for a whole month, I think that for $9.99, the software is totally worth it. As for performance, I recorded it via Fraps and not to my surprise the games ran just a little bit faster.

I ran Assassins Creed 2 and the average FPS increased to 26FPS from 21 FPS and Min. and Max. FPS saw some improvement too.

There is one strange thing here though, if you already have a net connection in your Smartphone (and that’s recommended for a Smartphone), then you can show your stuff online too.

However, there is one relief too. With this extension on your tips, if you find something to share right away and you are fooling around on Chrome, you can just send it to your phone and share it later on. This will draw away the need of surfing the same and thing and that would certainly save you a good amount of time, right?

How do you celebrate Thanksgiving Day in India?

Happy Thanksgiving Day

I was wondering several weeks ago, how about if I wanted to celebrate Thanksgiving Day? What would I do and will it make any difference in my routine or my life?

Answers never came from anywhere because I never asked them from any other person. I was just too afraid to even ask, ‘how is Thanksgiving Day celebrated?’. Why? For an obvious reason; people around me would definitely ask after I asked them the ‘question’, “Why on earth would you want to celebrate it anyway?”

The answer was, ‘Just for a change!’ Yeah, that’s it. I’ve started celebrating Valentine’s Day and Christmas to change the atmosphere around me. Now, I wanted to something different. The problem is, I don’t know how to!

I am a complete vegetarian, with an exception to Chocolate cakes (with eggs, but nothing else), and I can celebrate Thanksgiving by eating Turkey with my friends who are not vegetarian. Anyway, after looking further into it, I think that its just a way to celebrate this day, when you thank God for providing you life and the contents in it.

That’s all that I need to know. I am going to celebrate Thanksgiving on 25^th Nov 2010. One of my good friend, Jake, is from US and he totally want me to celebrate this day. He is pretty religious and says that celebrating this day brings ‘wonders’ in your life. I don’t know how much of that is true, but anyway, I am definitely in need of some amazing ‘wonders’ in my life (“nice one”). He wanted to tell me every little history about this day. However, I told him to be quite and figure out the meaning of this day on my own because every bite of more information was going to confuse me. Anyway, this is what I am going to do and before I get writing my plan for you, please accept my Best Wishes for Thanksgiving Day 2010.

· I am going to wake up pretty early on 25^th Nov, and then I am going to take a bath without having breakfast and wish our Gods ‘A Happy Thanksgiving Day’.

· Also, I am going to thank him for everything that they have given me and apologize for cursing them whenever I got into some trouble because of my mistakes and blamed on them.

· Next, I am going to request their blessings over me till I walk this earth. I would also like to pray on the behalf of my family and friends who didn’t want me to celebrate this day because it was not our festival. However, since these festivals are human-made, I figured that each human has the choice to decide which festival he/she wants to celebrate.

· Then I am going to watch Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows part I in my nearest theatre, because I promised my friends that I’d give them a treat once I head back to my place and now that I am here, I better keep my word.

· Then I am going to bake a chocolate cake for my group that I hope would turn out good and unfortunately, is not going to be ‘egg-less’.

· Other plans are reserved for my friends and I still haven’t told them that I am actually going to celebrate my first ever Thanksgiving.

This plan is simple and if ‘Thanksgiving’ wasn’t attached to this day, it would turn out ‘just-another-day’. I just wish that I actually had someone special to celebrate this day with and who could actually believe that, celebrating some days, do bring ‘wonders in life’.

Black Lagoon – Red Fraction

Whole soundtrack is full of thrill and action and chose this amv over the original sound track (OST) because the sound suited the amv better than the opening of the anime. The opening was shorter anyway. I must warn you though that this amv contains some scenes that are not suited for minors just like the whole anime.

Bon-Bon Blanco – Changing

This list wasn’t about language or just amvs. Though, my headline was Anime Music Videos, I figured that since the line still has Music Videos in it, I can easily get away by adding this live performance video by Bon-Bon Blanco. This is an ending song from The Wallflower anime that’s one of my most favorite anime and I seriously loved some horror comedy scenes in it.

The thing that I love about this song is, the music (I don’t know Japanese to be clear) and how it makes me dance every time. Don’t forget their performance in this video while you watch it, alright? *wink*

Tribute to the Heroes of Anime – Hero by Skillet

I stumbled upon to this song by chance and since then, I’ve used this song by Skillet on every woofer and home theatre system that I went to purchase (for myself and for my friends as well). The tune, bass effect and the thrill is amazing and that’s pretty much enough about the song.

About the amv; this video by user sorrowofdestiny2009 features some of the most intense action anime and they are put just right to make you watch whole video every time you play it. As I’ve already told you that I use this song to test some speaker systems, I just hope that our dear friend could upload an HD version of this amv. I would to see all that intense action on an HD TV. Not that I am going to purchase one right away, but just in case, alright?

Higurashi No Naku koroNi

This amv hooked me the moment I played (just like others friends). The reason it was so amazing because it starts off with some mild tunes and word (in Japanese that I don’t understand until I read those subtitles) and progresses with some great scenes and raising thrill.

This anime is under Psychological horror genre and is not for minors (again). This amv is well stitched with the anime of the same name; actually, the audio is the opening song of this anime. It has become one of favorite amvs because I haven’t watched this anime and for some reason (scared!!) I don’t want to watch it.

Lovely Complex – World’s End

The audio is actually a sound track and this amv is actually just for audio. The video feed is just a poster of Risa and Otani from Lovely Complex. The audio (original sound track) acts differently in the whole anime keeping the environment in mind. I have groped it in the mood of happy, sad, slow, energetic and i-will-love-you-forever sort of types. When I hear it, it leaves me with a wonderful feeling and since, it doesn’t have any words, it doesn’t distract me when I want to play it while I am doing some work.

Lovely Complex – Dam Dadi Doo

I came across this one quite a while ago and liked it since then. The song and scenes of the anime Lovely Complex suite each other pretty well. For one thing, the song is like, ‘what do dummies do?’, and in the anime, Risa and Otani are like dummies in one scene or the other. Watch it; I can assure you that you’re going to love it.

One Piece – Requiem for a Dream

The audio is taken from the movie Requiem for a Dream and is perfectly synched with the anime One Piece. There are lots of scenes from the whole anime. It shows some of the best action scenes from the anime and everything is carefully turned up and down because the song moves like that as well. You have to watch it to actually understand what I mean.

Blood+ AMV - Bring Me to Life & Chrono Crusade AMV - Bring Me to Life

As you can see that I’ve selected two amv with the same audio, Bring me to life by Evanescence. I couldn’t decide which one to pick but seriously, these are two most beautifully synched amvs with the song, Bring me to life. Blood+ amv starts off with a journey (after 12 seconds of worthless Enjoy sort of talk, who needs to be reminded that anyway) and Chrono Crusade starts off with a beautiful romantic scene and again, is beautifully synched with the song.

Yesterday, I had the chance to play some of my favourite songs on this woofer and I was amazed by its performance. This speaker system comes for a truly reasonable price, only Rs.3700/-.

Speakers

It has a total of 7 drivers that produce great sound. The clarity that it provides is mind boggling and every note of the music just hums in your head. However, we must not compare it with those hi-fi speaker systems because they justify their price ranges too. So, I am talking that at this price, these 2 speakers fill up the room with an amazing audio experience.

Woofer

The woofer is small enough to find a suitable spot in your room and still, powerful enough to provide amazing bass and treble for your audio. Be it anything, movies, songs, games, etc., the bass effect of this woofer is unmatchable and I am comparing it with Creative and Logitech (again, for the same price range).

Beats don’t distort when you set the volume to 100%, in fact the woofer is sufficiently powerful to actually crank up the volume with great bass.

Conclusion

Cyclone 7 is an amazing at a really affordable price. It didn’t let me down when I played each of my songs one by one and it was an amazing experience.
