Hilary Duff has joined the cast of Gossip Girl.

She will be playing a movie star, Olivia Burke, who desires a typical college experience and ends up sharing a room with Vanessa, played by Jessica Szohr.

Duff’s episode will debut on October 5th.

Michael Jackson’s registered nurse Cherilyn Lee gave an interview to CNN yesterday about his drug use, describing Jackson’s desperation for the drug Diprovan, which police has since found at his home.

Lindsay Lohan was reportedly paid a cool $70,000 to host her pre-birthday celebration at MGM Grand’s Wet Republic in Las Vegas last weekend.

Friends of Lohan say the event was less of a celebration and more of an urgent attempt to pull in some cash. “None of her really close friends were there,” said our insider, who noted that ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson was also missing from the festivities. “The only person who was even known was Brittny Gastineau.”

Lohan didn’t drink at the party and actually allowed her photo to be taken. She was also overheard saying she was still distraught from publicity over the disappearance of jewelry she’d modeled for a recent Elle magazine photo shoot in London.

For that amount of cash, we’d expect to see abit more than just five bikinis changes.
