I remember the game being announced, and I thought to myself: “meh…” -because I’m no Star Wars fan. And since DICE being the developer, I kinda thought the game would just be another Battlefield clone, only set in the Star Wars universe.
Then the demo dropped and it held a deep truth: I was mistaken.

One Star Wars: Battlefront Preorder Later

I’m playing this game when I have a sit down, which is rare these days.
There’s something so simple about it, easy to get into -it caters to my always-in-the-middle-of-the-shit-playstyle perfectly.
I thought I’d never have as much fun in an FPS again after Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars folded,
too early I might add (Fuck You ATVI -We never forget!), but I really do have that much fun now with Star Wars: Battlefront! From the Hero Pickups to the arcady way the TIE Fighters and X-Wings handle.

I’m a little disappointed they added more spread to the weapons than they had in the demo, but its a minor issue in my opinion, I can manage just fine as it is now. I also never had a problem with the so-called “unbalanced” Walker Assault game mode in the demo. I just think the Rebel teams mostly didn’t understand how to make it work when they first joined. Remember, there were 9 million players cramped in there in a short window of demo-time. However, voices of nerdrage and silly dismay were heard, and DICE “balanced” it by launch for easier Rebel wins.

Conclusion

If you’re ever considering it ,go for it. It’s fun as hell, and great with friends!
There’s not much wrong with Star Wars: Battlefront in my opinion. It’s arcady, and that’s fine. I wouldn’t have this game any other way.

I’ll try to catch a game with you in between doing Herbalife and training!

Instead @Chemosynthesis, @DjDegas and myself went all in with our Sesonal Barbarians and went from Paragon 11 to 220.
I ended up with a Wastes / IK / Bul-Kathos WW Barbarian, soloing (as yet -only tested once) Tier 32 Greater Rift.

So, that weekend kinda rocked.

Straight out of the box, I’m having no issues with performance like so many have reported. Second time I launched the game, I tweaked the .ini to cap the framerate from 30FPS to 120FPS and removed the annoying motion blur -resulting in the game running even better.
Oh, and I’m not running any new game ready drivers either.

All that aside -get the game. You’re missing out!
Also: I’m Batman.
