First let me tell you the story of this material: The story on Victoria Stone as we understand it is that it is a reconstituted stone made from quartz, calcite, fluorspar, magnesite, and feldspar. It was manufactured in boules (cylindrical vessels) for a short period of time in the 1970's. The only person who knew how this was done was its creator, Dr. Imori of Japan. Unfortunately Dr. Imori passed away without divulging the details of the manufacturing process, and thus the secret of this material was lost forever. To date nobody has been able to duplicate his processes and as a result this stone has all but vanished from the market. We have acquired just a few pieces and have held on it until now. This material makes some of the most beautiful cabochons I have ever seen. This rare cabochon of Kelly Green Victoria Stone. It has stunning chatoyantcy and depth with beautiful feathery shaped patterns. The light that reflects off it it produces such amazing light and dark greens that glisten in every direction as you move.
