Anyone else still have a kid in a Halloween costume?

My son found his dog costume again today. Needless to say he ended up wearing it to go grocery shopping. He thinks it's great with the silky inside and the fluffy outside. I personally like the cushioning it gives him when he jumps off the couch....

What makes your blood BOIL?

For starters.....TROLLS.......Especially when we give them what they want and allow them the satisfaction of a "drama-post". In close running would probably be the suggestion that I am a Christian because my Mommy told me to be (She didn't), or because I'm too lazy to look into other faiths (I have) or because I've been scared into it through preachings of hellfire and brimstone (I haven't.) HYPOCRITES....they make my blood BOIL, especially when they accuse others of acting in a manner that they prove themselves to be quite proficient at and don't see how their own behavior mirrors the actions they claim to hate so much. *SIGH* Taking a few deep breaths here......Let me search for something lighthearted to slow my pulse, lol......Okay.....Being cut off in traffic, having to wait on hold for 24 minutes while trying to reach a living breathing Customer Service Representative, waking up to realize we are out of coffee...J/K! LOL!

Do you think kids today are overdiagnosed?

Do you think doctors are too willing to slap an ADD or ADHD diagnosis onto kids these days?
When I was growing up, I only knew one or two kids with ADHD, now it seems like one out of four kids have it and are on medication for it...
I know there are definitely signs of the disorder, and that some kids absolutely have it, but I wonder if these doctors ever stop to think that kids are supposed to be a little hyperactive with short attention spans...they ARE kids, after all!
(Btw, I'm not trying to bash ANYONE, or say that it's not a big deal, because I know it is, and it's a very difficult disorder to live with, I was just wondering!)
What do you all think?

Phone hung up on me?

I was on the phone with a friend. She was mentioning the swine flu Vaccination and how 19 people have died from it over where she lives. I asked where she heard it from and she said her manger and that they heard it from someone at the hospital. I just said I would not believe it until I had proof and she kept talking about it. They knew that I already got the shot and that I am pregnant(and have a tendency to worry about things related to pregnancy). I said that I already took the vaccine so there would be nothing I could do at this point(btw I don't believe the story). I asked why they are telling me and they just said that they are not getting the shot. I just said I don't want to hear anything related to it because I worry enough. Maybe I should have said my words nicer. I called back on our cell(we are really low on min. and it's a pre-pay) I said that I was not mad and better explained myself.

what do you all think?

my son has been running a fever for a couple days by now but today was the first day I actually took it. It was 101.6 but when i gave him tylenol it went down to normal. but through out the day he has been irritable, and tired. now his temp is 102.2 and this is with motrin in him. He is due for tylenol at 9.

His temp is taken rectally

should I wake him in the middle of the night to keep giving him tylonel/motrin or should i just let him sleep till morning?

Do you think it will be ok to wait to go to the doc in the morning?? he doesn't have anyother symptoms....just the fever, crankiness, and tiredness?
