I’ve got more than 15GB of ebooks, videos, and audios in my HD on the topic of internet business, leadership, internet marketing, network marketing, blogging, ebay, and all the many different ways to make money online. And you guessed it right, I have not read all of them!

I just get a kick out of collecting them with the hope of maybe using them in the future.

But there are some that I do read. And sad to say, more than 80% of the materials I have are a total waste of time and (pity to those who actually bought them) money.

But then there are the really good ones. Or should I say exceptional ones. Those that I would definitely recommend. Some you can purchase but surprisingly the best ones are for free.

So here are the top 12 must read internet business free reports…if you are serious about building an internet business.

1) Blog Profits Blueprint
This is one for aspiring probloggers and written by Yaro Starak of Entrepreneurs Journey. It gives you a very detailed idea on what it takes and what you should do to become a successful blogger. You can download it free from Yaro’s site by subscribing to his email list.

2) Authority Rules
Brian Clark of Copyblogger released a free report that speaks about the value of authority in internet business. This report is a very quick read yet full of hardcore wisdom. Learn why authority can propel you and consequently your business to greater heights.

3) Internet Business Manifesto
Rich Schefren of Strategic Profits wrote this free report way back in 2006. Dubbed as the "Guru’s guru", Rich writes exceptional free reports he sends out regularly to his subscribers. This is just a first in this list. The Internet Business Manifesto will open your eyes to the world of running a real internet marketing business coming from the point of view of someone who knows how to build a "real business".

Now on to our topic for today and it’s a continuation of my 31DBBB experiment which I started at the beginning of this month. Day 2 is all about making a list post.

I love list posts. And here are 8 personal reasons why.

1. They look neat and organized
2. They are easy to digest in one reading
3. You don’t have to read the whole thing if you want yet you still get the idea of the post
4. They appear very well thought of (even if they don’t)
5. There’s a clear beginning and an end in each item on the list
6. At the end of the post you can easily pick out what you like best
7. You can also easily pick the one you don’t agree on
8. List posts often have less blah blah. They go straight to the point

Okay if you don’t have an idea of what a list post is, you are reading one right now. Tell me how you felt reading the last 8 items above? Ain’t it cool?

It’s no wonder Darren Rowse as well as other “gurus” of blogging place this as one of the ways to make great content and a key to becoming an effective blogger.

We begin our first business lesson from a quote from Yaro Starak in his free ebook about "How to Start an Internet Business…and Make Your First $1,000 Online". This was an eye opening principle for me especially since I came from an employee background with ZERO business experience. And it goes like this…

In business your happiness must come before your profits!

I told you I came from an employee background where your boss often talks to you about the bottomline, about being more effective, more efficient, reduce costs, doing more with less. And all those blah blah they keep talking about in management meetings and cascading down to the staff.

I guarantee you it was NO FUN! Especially when you have to tell your staff to squeeze in more work in their already full schedules.

And I thought business was that way. It was finding the most profitable niches, getting the right keywords, setting up a system to automate tasks, getting more work done in less time, cutting costs.

I never thought of it as HAVING FUN! That you have to do it because you love it and not simply because it is profitable.

Part of me agrees with it but I often see people in business doing it simply for the profit and they still succeed. What do you think?

It’s the start of our new life together and for the first time in my entire life I feel I have less control of what happens to it and the lurking rising expenses.

I knew this was coming, yet no amount of preparation can really prepare you for the real thing.

New home, new life, new lifestyle.

It’s only now that I really begin to feel how expensive living apart from our families is. Yeah call me sheltered but it’s true.

And not having a job like I used to and seeing our business still in its early stages is really taking its toll now. I have to admit, there are days when I wonder what life would be if I did not resign.

But then again I have no regrets about leaving the corporate life and facing a more uncertain future as an entrepreneur. And as if that is not enough, now I am also a husband trying to figure out ways that I can provide for my family without having to get a job.

Life felt easier as a single. I guess the the state of life change is truly a LIFE CHANGE.

But what choice do I have now?

Getting another job is really a last resort. I guess I just have to be serious now about my business. And I mean really serious.

No more games, no more distractions. Time to really work myself out to becoming a business owner. An internet business owner.

And it all begins now.

Or whatever else the could conjure up.

But the thing is they were very excited telling these things to the group. You see a glow in their eyes everytime they retell these dreams to everyone. But the moment you bring up the BIG question: "So what’s keeping you from starting?" the excitment ends and you hear a lot of excuses coming in.

I still don’t have the money to start…
I don’t know if I’ll succeed in it…
I’m just not yet ready…
One day I will…

I was part of this group too and I hear myself making these same excuses for my own dreams of building a business.

It’s sad but true. And no matter how much I earn I found it hard to get out of the dream state and really start doing something about what I want in life. My dreams still remains in the "One Day" list.

And I call this the "One Day Trap"!

3 Ways to Know if You are Trapped

It’s a giant step if you know you are caught in one but some people don’t even have an idea they are trapped in it. Here are five signs to look out for.

1. You dream a lot but take no action.

One of the most evident signs you are caught in the "One Day Trap" is that you spend a lot of time thinking and dreaming of the things you like to do as a business but you never take serious action towards it. For you dreaming about it provides an opium of sorts that provides hope of what that one day looks like.

2. You leave your growth to chance

People who leave their growth to chance usually end up just thinking of what they would want in life yet unprepared to really have it. If you dream of having a business make sure you learn as much as you can about starting a business, otherwise it will never come.

3. Constantly sidetracked by momentary gain

I was a victim of this often. I start working on my future business then promotion comes. I get a high out of the increased income that my future business is once again placed on the "One Day" list. Never let this happen to you.

Here’s a photo of me and my wife taken by my brother-in-law. We still have not seen the photos from our official photographer since we just got back from honeymoon yesterday. Hopefully tomorrow we’ll get the chance.

Anyway we took our honeymoon at Coron, Palawan. It’s one of the islands in the Philippines located in southwestern Luzon and north of the province of Palawan. And I can say now that it is such an amazing place! Words can’t even describe the wonderful beaches, the huge number of fishes I’ve seen in my lifetime, the great safari, breath-taking sunsets, surreal lakes, great food, interesting history, and wonderful people of the place.

And Day 1 says Write an Elevator Pitch for Your Blog. Wikipedia defines it this way.

An elevator pitch is an overview of an idea for a product, service, or project. The name reflects the fact that an elevator pitch can be delivered in the time span of an elevator ride (for example, thirty seconds and 100-150 words).

Now I have heard of this concept before while I was doing a training on how to improve your communication skil ls or was it the art of negotiation. I totally forgot, but nonetheless this should be an easy one since I have thought about this a lot in terms of a mission statement for my blog.

Darren recommends coming up with a long and short version of this so here is my try at it.

Long Version

Cajammed is all about helping people live a better life beyond their “BOX”. We do this in four ways…

• We inspire people to dream again, and dream BIG.
• We lead people to discover their real passions in life.
• We guide people to reach their fullest potential.
• We help people build a home-based internet business to sustain their dream.

We do this at cajammed “because everyone deserves a better life”.

Short Version

I’m going to go a bit personal here for this post.

Most of you don’t know. But one of the most wonderful thing that is happening to me this year is my marriage on Oct 10. 14 days left before the big day and I’m proud to have taken a wonderful engagement journey with my fiancée and we are praying for an even happier and blessed married life.

A large part of what pushes me in life to move forward and strive to reach my potential and work for my dreams is this relationship that I have. It gives live, color, meaning, and reason to be. And I’d like to share with you one of the most wonderful principles I have learned in life.

Your relationships are the most important thing in life! Both to God and the people you love and who love you.

It’s not your job, not your business, not your possessions, not your wealth, its your relationships. That’s the one thing that can carry you thru the difficult moments in your life. I believe that part of our success is being able to establish great relationships in our lives.

So I just simply want to say to my fiancée, THANK YOU, For the great 1.5 year engagement. And looking forward to a wonderful married life.

And to you my reader, friend, I pray for your family and relationships too. I hope they grow stronger and lovelier by the day. God bless!

I thought to myself, the principles he taught there are as effective for an author as it is for a blogger. Especially beginning bloggers like me. And one of the biggest struggles beginning bloggers face is to get into a flow that they do on a daily basis that can later propel them to stardom.

It’s easy to hear these things from other, more successful bloggers, but doing it is not something that is easy to do.

And so I write this for you as well as for myself as a constant reminder of the four habits I need to do everyday to become successful as a blogger.

Habit 1: Read everyday

Unless you learn something new, there is not much to write or teach your readers about right? The saying, "You can’t teach what you don’t know" holds true in this case.

As bloggers our responsibility to our readers is to consistently add value to their lives and how can we do that unless we start adding value to our lives first by learning more everyday. In the end, to become a successful blogger, you have to be consistently learning new things everyday.

Habit 2: Write everyday

One thing I have learned in an effectiveness course I heard before is to always ask yourself, "What is the one thing I can do right now that will take me closer to my goals?"

And for bloggers, the answer to that is simply "WRITING CONTENT"

No content = Dead blog (That is pretty obvious I guess)

Leo Babauta, a world reknowned blogger, in his blog ZenHabits describes this habit when he was starting out and it made all the difference. Because when you have great content posted consistently, people will always want to come back.

Habit 3: File everyday

As a blogger you will always have a consistent flow of ideas popping in your head as content that you could create (you should). And no matter how sharp your memory is, you will always forget something, some bright idea that popped in your head as you saw something.

Do not lose those ideas!

Keep a notepad handy and write down thoughts, things you see, and items you want to share in the future to your readers. Sooner or later you will notice that you have more ideas to write than the actual time to write them.

Habit 4: Market everyday

Now this was not part of John Maxwell’s principles but I needed to add this because it is very crucial.

It is not enough that you have great content on your site. You have to know how to make your readers find it too. And that involves marketing you blog.

This is the formula for a successful blog, remember it well.

GREAT CONTENT + INEFFECTIVE MARKETING = NO readership
BAD CONTENT + EFFECTIVE MARKETING = WASTED readership
GREAT CONTENT + EFFECTIVE MARKETING = SOARING readership

Marketing is as important as the content you create. Don’t be fooled by people saying "just write great content and the readers will come."

Just like any magazine, book, movie, or any content being circulated, you have to get them in the hands of people. Or better yet you’ve got to make people want to have them and the key to achieving that is simply, MARKETING!
