In this verse-by-verse Bible study of Psalm 98, we look at the theme of God’s victory and the “Praise of Thunder” that follows His deliverance. As we transition from 2025 into 2026, we find ourselves in a season of reflection and anticipation. Just as the Apostle Peter encouraged believers to remember the Lord’s past faithfulness while looking toward the future Kingdom, Psalm 98 serves as a bridge between what God has done and what He is yet to do.

From a Calvary Chapel perspective, we approach this text with a focus on the finished work of Jesus Christ. The Hebrew word for victory used in this Psalm is “Yeshua,” which is the name of our Savior. When we sing of God’s victory, we are singing of the salvation found only in Jesus. This study explores how God’s righteousness is revealed to the nations and how His love and faithfulness to the house of Israel serve as an enduring proof of His character.

We break down this Psalm into three distinct sections:

The Subject of Praise: The wonders and victories of the Lord.

The Manner of Praise: A call for a global orchestra featuring trumpets, lyres, and joyful shouting.

The Extent of Praise: How all of creation—the seas, the rivers, and the mountains—will eventually join in a resounding chorus of worship.

As Christians, our lives belong to Him; it is His breath in our lungs. Whether you are searching for a deeper understanding of the Bible, interested in the prophetic significance of Israel, or simply looking for encouragement in your walk with Jesus, this teaching highlights the grace and kindness of a God who invites us into His covenant.

We discuss how the return of Christ will be like lightning, followed by the “reverb” or thunder of universal praise. This message serves as a reminder that God’s goodness is active and His strong arm of grace is moving in our lives today. We conclude by looking at how we can participate in what God is doing in the coming year, moving from a rehearsal of worship to the full performance of His glory.

Join us as we study the Word of God together, verse by verse, and learn how to make our lives a melody that reflects the righteousness and fairness of our coming King.

Psalm 67 – Bless Testing: Understanding God’s Blessing in Christian Living

Join us as we continue our Bible study series through the Psalms, diving into Psalm 67, often called the Lord’s Prayer of the Old Testament. In this message, titled “Bless Testing,” we explore one of the most common prayers among believers: asking God to bless us. But what does true biblical blessing really mean, and how does it align with God’s will for our lives and for the world?

Many of us pray for God to bless our families, our work, our daily lives. From the story of Jacob wrestling with God in Genesis to the priestly blessing in Numbers 6:22-27, God’s people have always sought His favor and intervention. Even in the Lord’s Prayer taught by Jesus in the New Testament, we see a longing for God’s provision and guidance, though the word “bless” isn’t explicitly used. This Christian sermon examines how our understanding of blessing might differ from God’s divine intentions.

We often define blessing as the granting of our desires or the easing of our circumstances. However, as we unpack Psalm 67, we discover that God’s blessing is not merely about receiving tangible provisions, but primarily about His presence and His present work in our lives. It’s about His grace transforming us and equipping us to be a testimony of His power and salvation to all nations.

Discover how God’s grace changes everything, extending mercy and kindness, and providing His abiding presence. We’ll consider the significant phrase “may He make His face shine upon us” and the meaning of “Selah” in the Psalms, prompting us to pause and reflect on the type of blessing we truly seek. This Bible teaching highlights that while God wants us to bring our requests to Him, His ultimate desire is for His way to be known on earth and His salvation revealed among all peoples.

Learn about the global enterprise of God’s blessing and how His work in our personal lives contributes to His larger plan for the world. As we seek God’s blessing, we pray for redemption, providence, and revelation to take place through our lives, demonstrating to a watching world that the God of the Bible is a Deliverer.

This video emphasizes the importance of worship and praise as an informed response to God’s greatness and His sovereign work. We reflect on how God leads the nations and how believers are invited to follow Him, trusting in His faithfulness and His plan. The message concludes with a reaffirmation that God is a God who wants to bless, does bless daily, and will continue to bless His people, ultimately leading to an awed recognition of who He is—the “fear of God.”

If you are interested in seeking deeper spirituality, or looking for Calvary Chapel-style Christian living insights, this study of Psalm 67 will offer a fresh perspective on what it means to be truly blessed by God. Join us for a deeper look into God’s Word and how it applies to your journey of faith.

In this sermon we unpack Psalm 52, exploring its historical context and timeless relevance. Learn why David, a prophet and poet, penned this “Maskil”—an instructional song designed to impart God’s wisdom for life. We’ll examine the stark differences between David’s humility and reliance on God, and Doeg’s pride, treachery, and self-reliance, highlighting the critical choices each of us faces.

This Christian sermon reveals how Psalm 52 serves as a “decision track,” challenging viewers to choose between walking in God’s way (leading to life) or their own way (leading to death). We discuss the destructive power of wicked words and evil desires, as exemplified by Doeg, and contrast it with the life-giving words and heart of David, who consistently sought refuge in God.

If you’re seeking to study the Bible deeply, understand the intricacies of Old Testament Psalms, or grow in your Christian faith, this video is for you. We explore the consequences of rejecting God’s salvation and the ultimate judgment awaiting those who refuse to surrender to Him. Drawing parallels between David’s and Doeg’s journeys, we underscore the crucial difference: one trusted God, the other trusted himself, his wealth, and his strength.

Join us as we uncover how Psalm 52 powerfully illustrates the triumph of God’s faithful love. Discover how, like a flourishing olive tree in the house of God, those who trust in Him will endure and produce fruit, even amidst trials. This message is perfect for anyone interested in Christianity, seeking to understand Jesus’ teachings, or looking for insightful Bible study content from a Calvary Chapel perspective. Don’t miss this opportunity to deepen your faith and learn how to put your hope in God’s good name forever!

Understand what it means to be a citizen of this divine city and how your life can become an outpost of God’s presence, reflecting His attributes and being filled with worship.

For those seeking to grow in their Christian faith and study the Bible more deeply, we’ll investigate the nature of God as a stronghold and refuge, drawing parallels from biblical narratives like David in the cave and Daniel in the lions’ den. Learn how God’s power protects His people against all adversaries, even when kings assemble against Him.

Furthermore, we’ll consider the characteristics of those who can enter God’s holy place, as illuminated by Psalm 24, emphasizing clean hands, pure hearts, and the gift of righteousness through salvation in Jesus Christ. This teaching is particularly relevant for those interested in Christian spirituality and seeking a deeper walk with the Lord.

Finally, we’ll reflect on the enduring nature of God’s city, contrasting it with fleeting earthly endeavors, and how we can confidently share this eternal hope with future generations. This video is ideal for anyone who wants to understand the Psalms, is interested in Calvary Chapel teaching, or desires to cultivate a life overflowing with God’s praise and joy. Discover how God’s judgments lead to abundant life and why His leadership is the only path to true satisfaction and eternal reward. Get ready to be inspired and uplifted by the timeless truths of Psalm 48 and the unwavering faithfulness of our God.

In this powerful Bible study, “Psalm 12 – The Talking Dead,” we dive deep into the ancient wisdom of the Old Testament book of Psalms. Join us as we explore Psalm 12, a profound passage that resonates with believers seeking to understand Christian living, faith, and spirituality in today’s world. This sermon, part of our ongoing Psalms series, offers a unique perspective on King David’s lament and his unwavering confidence in God amidst a crumbling society.

Discover how the vivid imagery of a “talking dead” world, surprisingly similar to modern zombie narratives, illuminates the spiritual state of humanity. We’ll unpack David’s cry for help in Psalm 12:1, reflecting on feelings of hopelessness and confusion that resonate with many Christians today. This Bible teaching emphasizes the importance of honest prayer and authentic communication with God, drawing parallels to the rich tradition of lament Psalms. Learn how God hears the cries of His people and is always listening for our needs and desires.

This in-depth study of Psalm 12 reveals humanity’s urgent need for salvation, not from physical plagues, but from the sin that infects our hearts and mouths. We expose the deceptive nature of lying and flattery and its destructive impact on relationships and society. This sermon challenges us to audit our language and allow the Lord to cleanse us from the malignancy of deceit. We’ll confront the seriousness of lying and the pride that infiltrates ungodly hearts, as highlighted in Psalm 12:3-4.

Explore the powerful truth that our tongues have the ability to either build up or tear down, and that ultimately, God is our master, not ourselves. This Christian sermon provides a crucial message for those searching for truth and meaning, explaining how outside of covenant with Jesus Christ, we are enslaved to sin. For those interested in Christianity and spirituality, this video offers a clear path to salvation through faith in Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

In Psalm 12:5, we witness God’s compassionate response to the cries of the needy and the oppressed. This Bible study encourages Christians that God still hears our groanings and moves with power on our behalf. We’ll see how David’s isolation transforms into a sense of community, recognizing that God is mindful of all His people.

A key highlight of this Psalms teaching is the profound truth of Psalm 12:6 – the purity and power of God’s Word. Like silver refined seven times, God’s promises withstand any trial or opposition, offering an unshakeable foundation for our faith. This Calvary Chapel sermon emphasizes the reliability of God’s truth, even in a world where it is constantly under attack.

Finally, we find assurance in Psalm 12:7-8, knowing that God will guard and protect His people from the spiritual degradation of every generation. This sermon encourages believers to understand their identity as sons and daughters of God, no longer aimlessly wandering but walking with purpose toward His eternal glory. We’ll conclude by reflecting on the call to make disciples, carrying the cure of the Gospel to a world in desperate need of rescue. This video is a must-watch for anyone who wants to study the Bible, grow in their Christian faith, and understand how to live a life of purpose in Christ.

Welcome to an in-depth Bible study through Psalm 11, a powerful passage that speaks to the heart of every believer facing life’s challenges. In this expository sermon, we explore how David, caught in a fight-or-flight situation, chooses a third, God-honoring path: the way of righteousness. When the world feels like it’s crumbling around us, how can we find true shelter, peace, and hope? By taking refuge in Jesus Christ and walking in His righteousness.

Whether you’re new to Christianity, a seasoned believer, or simply seeking encouragement, this study will inspire and equip you to trust God during times of trouble and uncertainty. As we unpack the meaning of Psalm 11, you’ll discover practical insights for your spiritual journey and be reminded that God’s righteousness is your refuge and strength.
