During the last presidential election cycle, most of used our mobile phones for communications over text, voice, and email. Mobile apps were beginning to be used by a few political campaigns, and the many early adopters were connecting on Twitter and Facebook on their smart phones.

Today, mobile phone users access seemingly endless amounts of information, entertainment, and media, connecting with the news, political campaigns, and each other from the palms of ours hands.

A lot has changed in four years.

He wrote,

I’m picking up a sense that Republican digital experts don’t feel like they have much company—their side seems to be falling behind in the race to build a deep bench of talented online campaigners.

Merging Content and Action for Politics and Advocacy

One of my favorite challenges while managing digital strategy for my of my clients is finding new ways to use the content we secure on blogs and traditional media sites to build an audience and drive some kind of action. How do I drive more readers to a blog post authored by a client? What can I do to get concerned readers to take an action when they read something stirring, engaging, and motivational? How much will it cost?

Four affordable tools we’ve experimenting with might help:
