Bernhard Whillhelm, fashion designer of the Amberes school, has designed a collection for both men and women. Moccasins and sandals sewn by hand, using artisan techniques for their manufacture. Colourful felts, wooden heels, rubber soles and recycled materials are some of the incredible features of his debut collection.

On the other hand, Jaime Hayon’s collection, brings happiness and colour, with his mono tone shoes. This season he has added designs, as well as the laced up shoes that we already know and love, we now have a selection of really nice moccasins. A whole collection for both men and women, with injected soles that enhance their sporty feel without compromising on elegance.

On Wednesday January 28 until February 1 the fourth edition of Berlin Fashion Week 2009 was held in a tent located in the middle of Unter den Linden.The most awaited moment was undoubtedly the debut of the German designer Bernhard Willhelm presenting his winter collection at Postbahnhof, an extraordinary refurbished station, where nowadays there are exhibitions and concerts.

The collection inspired by the outfit worn in the ski jumping competitions of the Winter Games in Innsbruck, and the Camper To&ether shoes and boots designed by the artist for Camper, did not leave anyone indifferent. This line designed for Camper is inspired by the classic mountain boot, with round forms, dented soles and padded leather. The collection fuses together the values of the brand and the creativity of the designer

A store where red tones predominate and which walls are partially covered with backstiteched blankets of the same colour. The furniture, designed for domestic setting, consists of a unique collection of shelves, tables and chairs, which allows to display and to try on the footwear.

Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec were born in Quimper, a town in Brittany, France. They have been working together since 1999 and have collaborated with many prestigious brands over their career. Besides, their creations have been displayed in several exhibitions, and some of them have become part in permanent collections of many museums.

Ever since the tumultuous year 1968 when the first Biennale took place, Interieur has always been able to count on the presence of an international guest of honor. In this occasion, the installation at INTERIEUR 08 makes the first major retrospective of the work of THE Spanish “enfant terrible”, from his first designs and objects to his most recent creations. The shoe collection designed by Jaime Hayon with the hallmark of camper together was also exhibited on a big podium.

“Interieur is known as a quality biennale, and it’s exciting to be a part of it. It is a quite big shoe to fill” said Jaime with his blue shinny camper to&ether shoes from the autumn-winter 08-09 collection. The hostesses and staff at the salon were also wearing shoes from the camper together collection.

After the collaborations in 2008 with the Spanish designer Jaime Hayón, the Dutch creator María Blaisse and the Swiss-Argentinean designer Alfredo Häberli, Camper has got together with the fashion designer from the school of Anvers Bernhard Willhelm to create a line of shoes for men and women for the Spring/Summer 2009. For Bernhard Willhelm “chaos is beautiful”. He is said to go ahead the trends and that his fashion creations become immediately collector’s items.

After the fashion show with the male collection in June, Camper together with Bernhard Willhelm presented the female collection on the 2nd of October in the Garage Turenne of the French capital. This collection takes up the values of the brand, natural, comfort and austerity, melt with the talent and creativity of the young designer.

After the event, a cocktail party took place in the Camper together show room in Faubourg St Honoré where the presence of Bernhard Willhelm along with other personalities of the design and fashion contributed to the great success of the event.

Camper together has from today on its own website where the last creations for Autumn/Winter are available. These exclusive collections, conceived by María Blaisse, Alfredo Häberli and Jaime Hayón, are a display of creativity, fantasy and inventiveness, where the hallmark and identity of each designer melt with the experience and know-how of Camper.

This new together store is added to a long list of collaborations with artists from different disciplines who have contributed with their talent and imagination to the design of Camper stores in the main European cities.

More precisely, this is the fourth collaboration with Alfredo Häberli, after the stores in Paris, Barcelona and Rome. The Swiss-Argentinean artist describes his inspiration for this project:

“Thinking about the slogan “Don’t run, just walk”, I felt like starting to drive a vehicle and leave tracks. (…) the first thing that came into my mind was to use the first and the simplest vehicle that anyone can ride: the tricycle. Its three wheels keeps it still, and for that reason I felt like using it to arrange the furniture of the store. Tricycles leave tracks like circuits that are ideal to place Camper shoes”.

The 16th of September the store of Camper in Fouberts’s Place, also designed in collaboration with Jaime Hayón, played host to a public eager to discover the proposals of Camper and Jaime Hayón for this current season and the collection for spring/summer 2009.

The store reopened its doors after a refurbishment where new details created by Jaime Hayón were added to the former design of the genial artist.

Prestigious international press and important figures of the design and fashion of the British capital attended a cocktail where the artist was also present.

The collection together will be shown in other events in the major European cities in the near future.
