A fly fishing holiday is not for everyone, it actually requires so much more that many people do not find it enjoyable to say the least. So we can conclude that fly fishing is certainly not popular with all and this is the reason that not many options are available, let me quickly make you browse through the possible ones!

One of the best spot for fly fishing is Madison Valley River. Here there are several cabins that are given to the fly fishing parties that come in and the fishing is well above the bar. The trout come running down the river at certain times of the year and you can catch your limit within a few hours time.

Carp Fishing Secrets. The carp angler’s bible. Over 270 pages of carp fishing advice from the home of carp fishing.

If you have been to Madison Valley River, then next you can explore Yellowstone River which also makes the best of a fly fishing vacation. Here fly fishing lovers come form all over the world and the experience is quiet calm and rejuvenating as there is only walking or boating access to the fly fishing vacation areas so that means that you can have a quiet and exciting vacation without all the hassles of the more crowded areas.

The next in line is South Fork Snake River, which also makes for a adventurous spot for the fly fishing vacation. But as this spot is known to many so it can be difficult for you to get a spot. The reservations are taken a year ahead of time and they are limited to one week of fishing. This is not a problem because there is some serious action in this area and catching your limit is more than easy.

Fly fishing lovers also can explore Henry’s Lake that offers the best in fly fishing action. Here you would find large fishes and just be prepared for a fight when one is hooked. There is more than enough room to stay and you can have a cabin for up to one month. And before you make the booking be aware of the license costs as they are on the rise in this state.

Tip! If you plan to go crab fishing onshore, then the best time is when the tide is rising. For onshore crab fishing, you’ll need a dip net, long string and some type of bait, like eel, chicken necks, or small fish.

If you can compromise on the crowd, then Big Hole Lake is probably one of the largest areas to take a fly fishing vacation. Early spring is best and offers some great action.

Long Lost Fly Fishing Secrets. Discover original tips and techniques from early fly fishing masters and classics.

If you want to be better at bass fishing, then there are some critical factors that you should be aware of. Bass fishing is one of the most popular sports in America, Canada, and many other countries. As a result, the competition is very intense, and to gain a true advantage, you have to know your fish, their habitat, and your equipment inside out.

Bass is treated as a “sports” fish rather than a meal, although its quite healthy and edible. During tournaments, bass are caught and weighed before being thrown back in the water. There’s even a holding tank that is used for providing medical treatment to the bass, if needed.

Tip! Use a wire cross-locking snap when fishing crank plugs. It allows you to change lures quickly and enables the bait to vibrate more freely.

To become successful at bass fishing, there are a variety of things you need to keep in mind. First and foremost, the biology and behavior of the fish are extremely critical factors. Different environments and water temperatures have varying affects on the way that bass behave, influencing your methodology and techniques in different ways.

If you are fishing in very cold or very warm temperatures, then the bass won’t be as healthy or plentiful, but at the same time, catching them will be much easier due to their physical weakness. On the other hand, moderate temperatures are prime environments in which bass flourish, giving them the physical strength to fight being caught.

Tip! Dress for the occasion. If you’re ice fishing, don’t forget thermal underwear and insulated footgear.

Typically, bass like to hang out in covered, sheltered areas where they can prey on smaller fish. Knowing this piece of information can help you identify areas where bass are present, as well as the types of lures you should be using.

The second critical factor for successful bass fishing, besides the biology and habitat, is your equipments. Your rods, reels, lines and lures will vary depending on the environment, the nature of the particular bass fish, and your skill level.

Expertise in fishing maps and electronic fish finders can give you a distinct advantage over the competition. More often than not, the first couple of spots you decide to fish in might not produce good results. It is very usual for anglers to move around during fishing tournaments, and if you’re handy with the map, then you can quickly locate a better fishing spot before the competition can.

A backdoor trick you can use to quickly learn about a particular fishing area is to visit the local angler stores. As fishing enthusiasts, the owners can give you valuable tips and advice that can give you a head-start.

Outside of tournaments, there are many recreational anglers that would love to share their knowledge with you, especially if you make them feel like the “teacher” and portray yourself as the “student”. Hobbyists love nothing more than to be proclaimed as experts in their field.

Online, there are a variety of forums, chat-groups, discussion lists, and e-mail newsletters where you can meet anglers world-wide and share ideas. Consider becoming a moderator at a forum so you can always be the first to receive valuable fishing info.

Tip! Hiring a fishing guide might be a great idea if you’re new to the area, even if you’re an expert fishermen yourself. You can hire a guide for your first day and he can show you where the fish are biting at that particular time, then you can strike it out on your own for the rest of vacation.

Although this is a basic article, the tips covered can be explored in further depth. Remember, the number one rule of success is to humble yourself and become a student and observer of fishing.

For years businesses have rode on the vast interest Bass fishing has generated. Many people are hooked, pardon the pun, on this hobby and have elevated it to a sport and a passion. Resorts, sports gears and lines have been built and many more aspects have benefited from these interest.

Today, there are more and more people trying to learn and find out what the buzz is all about. Bass fishing is more than just catching a fish. Its now about getting those prized big bass and having the opportunity to show it off. For beginners there are lots more to bass fishing that meets the eye.

Trout Fishing Secrets. Trout Fishing Secrets Revealed - How to Catch A Trout Everytime: When Spinner Fishing Your Favorite Stream Or River.

First, try to know the lures that you must have to enjoy bass fishing.

And do you know what the top 3 lures for catching Bass are? Although there was no particular gauge that was presented by the researchers, a survey was performed among the pro bass fishermen and it was found that plastic worms was the most patronized and ranking on the second and third place were the spinner bait and then the crank bait.

Bass Fishing Basics. Learn to catch more Bass even if you’re a beginner.

However, picking one of these 3 is not enough. Some factors are still needed to be considered. Primarily, you must consider if it is better to cover a smaller segment of water thoroughly or skim across a larger area as quickly as possible to find fish. Using a worm is slower, but absolutely effective and is very seductive to Bass. They do best when the fish are schooled over a particular structure.

Trout Fishing Basics. eBook for beginners.

The problem that usually arise with fishing with a worm is the inability to sense strikes. Usually the inability to sense them is due to a sinker that is too heavy and a line that is too thick.

To help you to overcome this predicament you are advised to use a variable buoyancy worm using lead strip sinkers. Here are some of its advantages:

No moving lead on the line to dampen the feel of a gentle pickup

You can apply the precise amount of lead to deliver the worm action needed

It makes it easier for a bass to inhale the worm

	It aids in hook setting

It’s easier to shake loose from snags

You can cause the worm to hang virtually suspended over the bottom when fishing shallow water.

To tell how much lead strip is needed, wrap one strip around the hook and bury the barb in the worm. Ease it into the water and watch it sink, it should barely settle toward the bottom. If it sinks to fast, take some off, etc. Make sure to use no heavier than 8-pound mono line - preferably 6 pound.

On the other hand, a Spinner bait can be moved more quickly across the surface and can be bounced on the bottom, sent against a tree limb and moved in many different ways in order to stimulate strikes. It is a great probing lure for the shoreline because of its tangle-free construction.

Tip! For trout fishing, the leader should not be greased. It will not sink far enough to cause any difficulty when picking the line and lure from the water, but if it is allowed to float; it will cast a shadow on the bottom of the stream which may scare the trout.

Lastly, Crank baits cover a lot of water in a hurry. Using them, you can check out a spot without wasting too much time. You can use them for locating fish that may be scattered.

The most important thing is, no matter what lure you select for the particular lake that you are fishing on, you need to make it as easy for the Bass to get at it as possible. Drop that lure right in front of them. Scientists have proven that Bass calculate the amount of energy it will take them to go after the prey.

Fishing Secrets @ Short Stories. Learn The Secrets Of Fishing Success For Fun And Profit. Secrets That Every Fisherman Needs To Learn To Be Successfull.

Discover and learn to use one of those lures that you preferred to use for you to really find enjoyment in bass fishing!

Aside from considering the lures, it is also important to determine the accurate time in going for bass fishing.

Dawn and dusk are definitely when the biggest bass can be brought in. First, remember that bass love ambush spots offering lots of cover from the baitfish. They like to hid, and pounce on their prey.

These bait fish are most active in the early morning or evening. When they feed, bass follow because the baitfish is less aware of threats when they feed. Go out fishing during these times for the best success.

When retrieving an underwater lure in poor light, keep it coming at a steady pace once it is set in motion. This will make it easier for bass to locate and grab it.

Tip! There are different methods of crab fishing, which are quite cost effective and others that need a lot in terms of money and time. You can use a dip net to catch the crabs.

The last thing is, don’t bother going out in the dawn/dusk when water is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. This temperature wipes out certain aquatics and terrestrials, which nullifies the food chain feeding.

Lures and proper time of going on bass fishing are ample factors only that must be taken into account because other aspects such as water quality considerations and weather conditions are also necessary for you to win the game on bass fishing!

Tip! Local Specialty Fly Okay, this will take a bit of effort on your part. Every fishing area has a specialty fly that is known to have fish leaping out of the water before casting even begins.

Obviously you can’t live bait if you can’t keep it alive, and this can often be quite a task. Keeping your baits happy, healthy and kicking can be approached in many ways, so I have put down a few key tips to remember; and some good alternatives to fully plumbed live bait tanks.

How To Make Fishing Lures.

I will start with problems that affect even perfectly plumbed tanks and go from there.

COMMON PROBLEMS

If you have a fully plumbed, top of the line bait tank, then you are well ahead of the game but will still have fish dying. If the tank becomes overcrowded fish will start to die.

Remember the bigger the baits the less will survive in your tank. Baits so big they can’t freely swim around the tank will have a high mortality rate. Once fish have died make sure to remove them from the tank as it will affect the remaining survivors.

Tip! Do you know that seasonal patterns has a direct relationship with whether it is bass fishing season or not.

When you are catching bait make sure to handle them as little as possible. If possible catch bait with long shank hooks then hold the shank of the hook and shake the bait off and straight into the tank. That way you never touch the fish.

ALTERNATIVE TANKS

If you don’t have an inbuilt tank, or room for this, the next best thing is to use an esky. In a good sized tinnie I have even plumbed a good quality esky with great results, the next best thing to an esky is the good old fashioned kill box’ the ones commercial fishos use for storing their catch.

Tip! Use a wire cross-locking snap when fishing crank plugs. It allows you to change lures quickly and enables the bait to vibrate more freely.

Eskies work very well as bait tanks because one major problem for keeping fish alive is change in water temperature. Not only are fish very sensitive to temperature change but when water warms up it loses its dissolved oxygen killing the fish.

A 50 litre tank of water in summer warms up very quickly, this is very important to remember when you don’t have any circulation in your tank. The temperature problem also relates to colour, try and use white tanks so they don’t attract more heat.

FRESH WATER

Without having the tank plumbed you will have to use a bucket to constantly refresh the water in the tank, its hard work but often worth it. You can also purchase small bait pumps that will help but I’ve found that you still need to use the bucket but just not as often.

Tip! Some fishing lodges advertise a certain amount for a few days by the lake. It is advisable to ask if there are any hidden charges.

When you pour water into your tank don’t try to be gentle, this is a mistake, it is best to do it from a good height and create a lot of foam, this is oxygen mixing with the water and benefits your baits.

OXYGEN

Another key point is the shape of the tank. Ideally a high surface area is great which again is why most eskies work well and so do kill boxes’.

The higher the surface area the more oxygen can dissolve into the water, this is also why little kiddy wading pools are perfect when fishing from the shore.

THE BASKET CASE

One last useful tip for boat fishos is to have a laundry basket that is deep and narrow in shape. Put some weight in the bottom of the basket and flotation around the top of the basket.

When you are at anchor simply put this in the water and tie it of to the side of the boat. Transfer your livebaits from your tank into the basket while fishing at anchor and they will stay healthier than in any livebait tank. Always have a small net for transferring the baits so as not to damage your baits.

Tip! This might be the first time that the family is going to the lake. It will be a good idea to ask if there is a guide that will be able to direct the people to the best fishing site.

Remember the better you handle your livebaits the better baits they’re going to be.

Tip! This might be the first time that the family is going to the lake. It will be a good idea to ask if there is a guide that will be able to direct the people to the best fishing site.

For me there doesn’t have to be a reason to go fishing. Fishing itself is enough I’ll just go at the drop of a hat but for those of you who may need a reason, here are ten. Who knows, when you need an excuse to wet a line one of them might come in handy. So here they are, in no particular order.

Bass Fishing Secrets. Catch more and bigger bass immediately. We Guarantee it.

1) To get out in nature. We all get caught up in the day to day inertia that we call life, and sometimes just need to get back to nature. It helps restore the soul, as many poets have suggested.

2) To get your mind off of other things. This is what I used to use fishing for, before I learned some other techniques for clearing my mind. But spending a day waist deep in a river still serves me pretty well.

The Ultimate Fishing Trip GuideBook! How To Plan, Organize and Catch More Fish On Your Next Fishing Trip.

3) To have some fun with your children. If you haven’t done this already, have at it. Kids love to fish. And I know with my daughter, I have every bit as much fun as she does. And in some way, that’s what this whole thing is about.

4) To try to catch a trophy. This is a wonderful reason for me, but some people just don’t want to work that hard. It took me three years of fairly hard fishing on the same river to catch the one trophy rainbow trout that I’ve caught out of said river. And it was worth every minute of fishing and frustration along the way.

5) Practice. In the immortal words of Allen Iverson, “What we talking about here? Practice? Practice?” Yes Allen, we’re talking about practice. And anglers need it just like professional basketball players. If you want to attain any level of skill, that is. It’s just like anything else, the more you practice, the better angler you will become.

Tip! If you plan to go crab fishing onshore, then the best time is when the tide is rising. For onshore crab fishing, you’ll need a dip net, long string and some type of bait, like eel, chicken necks, or small fish.

6) To get out of the house or office. In this modern world, we can become like animals in a zoo. Just going through the motions, as if there were no real point to being on this earth other than making money to pay bills. At least that’s how it can seem if you spend too much time in the house or office.

7) To get exercise. No many people may be thinking, “Fishing is not exercise, you just sit there.” Not necessarily. If you go fishing with me, you’re going to walk three or four miles and cross the river four or five times. It can be quite a workout at times. Even when I go lake fishing, the areas I fish are a nice walk from my vehicle. So exercise is a great reason to go fishing.

Tip! Local Specialty Fly Okay, this will take a bit of effort on your part. Every fishing area has a specialty fly that is known to have fish leaping out of the water before casting even begins.

8) To get ideas. I’ve had some great idea’s pop into my head while fishing, that might not have otherwise been discovered.

9) To hang out with a friend. If there’s someone that you haven’t hung out with in a while, and it’s overdue, go fishing. The drive and subsequent walk to and from the fishing area is a great time to catch up.

Long Lost Fly Fishing Secrets. Discover original tips and techniques from early fly fishing masters and classics.

10) To discover something new about yourself. This one is big for me personally. I’ve discovered a lot about myself while wading in various rivers over the years and you can as well. There’s just something about standing in a river that’s conducive to discovery. Maybe the silence. I’m not sure of much, other than the fact that it is.

Tip! Dress for the occasion. If you’re ice fishing, don’t forget thermal underwear and insulated footgear.

There you go. The next time the old lady asks you why you want to go fishing again, and you draw a blank, just drop one of these bad boys in her lap. If you get to go fishing one extra time, then writing this article was worth it.

If you’re ice fishing, don’t forget thermal underwear and insulated footgear.

I’ve been fishing for over 50 years and even more frequently in the last 10 years; during this time I have learned a lot of countless things about fishing in general. The most important is that you can never know it all. Even a novice can show an old timer a trick or two.

Over the years I’ve seen hundreds of anglers come to the areas I fish full of enthusiasm and determination and they end up leaving frustrated and confused. With just a little advice this could have made for a better experience and more than likely created another fishing addict like myself. It may take some time to turn you into that pro, but the enjoyment of the sport would be more easily realised.

Fishing Secrets @ Short Stories. Learn The Secrets Of Fishing Success For Fun And Profit. Secrets That Every Fisherman Needs To Learn To Be Successfull.

When starting out the very first thing you want is just basic information on where and when to fish. Sounds easy and generally just ask other anglers, lodge owners, bait store owners, heck just ask.

Now for the fishing equipment, the rod and reel. Sounds simple enough, but maybe not. As in most other sports, cheap or poor equipment will result in poor results. As an example I met a fellow from southern Ontario (Toronto) while fishing here at home for Northern pike and asked him how the fishing was. His remark was that he was going to rent a boat and give it a try. So I asked him if he would like to go out with me that evening and he accepted. I met him at the dock and told him to load his gear in the boat and offered him a life jacket and away we went. I did not notice what he had loaded at first except he had a nice big new tackle box, as we moved away I asked where is your rod and reel. He went on to open his new tackle box and proceeded to pull out one of those pocket fisherman rigs. Of course I had a hard time from not laughing out loud, but went on to offer him one of my other rigs already in the boat.

Tip! Nomad Fly Fishing Journals A little self-promotion here. Nomad Fly Fishing Journals are compact writing journals that let anglers keep notes on their efforts.

Once we hit the area I intended to troll he went on to politely say he wanted to use his own rod but asked what one of his lures he should use for northern pike. He had one large red and white spoon and I told him to use that and made sure he let out enough line for what we were doing. I believe I was praying for him to get the first strike and sure enough he did after about 15 minutes or so and the fun began.

Long Lost Fly Fishing Secrets. Discover original tips and techniques from early fly fishing masters and classics.

Now this pike he had on was I guessed about 15 pounds, not that big but the struggle with that little, short toy he had was hilarious to watch. I did not believe he would get the fish to the boat but he did although to fast, I had the net and told him to slow down, he did not hear me as I leaned over to net the fish he had it reeled up to about 2 feet from the tip of that little rod, all that pike did was lean on the line and he was gone.

The Fly Fishing GuideBook. A Complete Step-By-Step Training Kit Filled With The Latest And Proven Fly Fishing Techniques.

I must add here that he also had no leader on that rig. After that he was so excited and of course wanted to keep fishing, but asked if he could use one of my other rods which was fine because I wanted to see him really hook and land a nice fish. To shorten this story he did land 2 more northerns and a small walleye. Oh yes I did catch a fish, one walleye and one pike, but we had a new fishing addict here. The next day he went into town to the Canadian Tire store and got properly equipped.

Carp Fishing Secrets. The carp angler’s bible. Over 270 pages of carp fishing advice from the home of carp fishing.

I imagine that young man from southern Ontario had some great tall tales to tell when he got home. I wonder how big that one that got away is Now!

A light action graphite spinning rod and reel will handle most fish you will want to catch, plus it is light enough for the beginner to feel even the light hit of those walleye.

So just get out there relax, take your time. Bring some coffee or lunch or even better catch your lunch and cook on one of the many small islands all over these northern lakes. Mostly just enjoy it all the fresh air, wildlife and scenery. Enjoy it all while your watching that loon, deer or even a moose feeding, a big walleye might just swim up and inhale your bait sending that twitch up your line through your rod to your fingers. Set the hook and there’s lunch!

Tip! Check your line just above the lure frequently when fishing crankbaits around rocks, gravel, stumps, and other hard obstructions. They can quickly fray your line.

Well that’s enough from me time for supper and a 5 minute stroll down to the river and make a few casts and see what happens.

If you’re ice fishing, don’t forget thermal underwear and insulated footgear.

Bass fishing with topwater baits is without a doubt the most fun you can have fishing for large or smallmouth bass. People watch these bass tournaments on the tube and see all these pros using plastic and spinner baits jigs and crankbaits, forget about the fun and excitement you get with topwater baits. Topwater baits create great action and stories to pass on to family and fishing friends.

The best time I find for topwater bass fishing is in summer, the colder the water the slower the response, and the more you have to work that bait. Early morning and evening are best for topwater bass fishing.

Of course weather effects your choice of lures also, on a bright sunny day it is better to have a light wind to go with it, a bit of a chop makes the bass less spooky. On a calm sunny day use a heavier lure and lighter line for longer casts. Bass tend to become real spooky in calm and clear water, so the further the cast from you the better off you’ll be.

Tip! Hiring a fishing guide might be a great idea if you’re new to the area, even if you’re an expert fishermen yourself. You can hire a guide for your first day and he can show you where the fish are biting at that particular time, then you can strike it out on your own for the rest of vacation.

Wind can also change the type of topwater bait you can use I believe that when the wind comes up you should use a smaller bait that makes a lot of noise. The larger baits just plow through the chop, while the smaller baits ride the chop and still make that enticing noise to get the strike you want. Also try to fish through the troughs created by the wind.

Bass fishing topwater baits has some of it’s own quirks you want to be able to make pinpoint casts to cover areas and make a clear retrieve. Most of your topwater bass fishing will be done in shallow water over weed beds, flats and around objects and shoreline cover. The majority of bass population remains in shallow water all summer.

Trout Fishing Secrets. Trout Fishing Secrets Revealed - How to Catch A Trout Everytime: When Spinner Fishing Your Favorite Stream Or River.

To fish bass with topwater baits cast about a foot or two past your target and bring it as close to the cover as possible. If you do not get a strike after the first few feet reel in and try again and make another cast. Fishing cover like this there is no need to reel the bait all the way to the boat. Work the bait slowly to get that strike from the bass that is hiding in the shadows and under cover. Have patience when fishing topwater baits, let the ripples disapear, and let the bait sit a few seconds before you make you retrieve.

When the bass strikes a topwater bait, wait till you feel the fish before you set the hook. If you try to set that hook when you first see the strike you’ll miss more than you will catch. I can’t count the times that lure has been nocked back towards me by the bass striking that topwater bait.

Tip! The favorite crab for crab fishing is the blue crab, which is called Callinectes sapidus scientifically. And like its name, the blue crab comes in shades of blue, olive-green, and red.

Now for some of the most popular baits, Poppers are among the oldest of topwater bass fishing lures. They have the dished out face with the line tie in the middle. When retrieved they make a slash noise or “bloop” when popped. Poppers work best in warm, calm, shallow, clear water. You get your action from the rod tip not reeling. The harder you snap the bait the more noise and commotion created.

Stickbaits are rounded, hot-dog shaped lures usually plastic or wood. weighted to float nose up. The only action they have is what the angler ads to make them work. These baits have appeal for big bass, just using the jerk, then real up slack and jerking again produces a good eratic side to side motion that gets lots of attention from bass.

Propbaits are cigar shaped and fitted with propellers on one or both ends. Propbaits can be worked fast or slow, quiet or loud, but stop and go retrieves are best. The bass will let you know what is best so vary your retrieve. Be sure to experiment, propbaits are dynamite around sunken logs, lily pads, and shallow cover. Be sure the blades on the lure run freely,

Tip! There are different methods of crab fishing, which are quite cost effective and others that need a lot in terms of money and time. You can use a dip net to catch the crabs.

Wobblers and Crawlers, these baits are particularly best at night or early morning, Examples of these are the Jitterbug or the Crazy Crawler. They make a loud plopping sound when retrieved steadily. Use a steady slow retrieve for the best results with this bass bait.

How To Make Fishing Lures.

Buzzbaits are a little like spinnerbaits desingned to be fished on the surface. There are two types, the opposite wire types, with the blade above the hook, and the inline type with everything on one shaft. Excellent for clear water, and pick up less weeds. Again experiment with your working of this bait, twitching and vary speeds to create different noises.

Weedless Spoons are also in this category, designed to be fished in dense cover, either through the thickest weeds, lily pads, or grass. They go through the toughest cover you can find. Fishing with weedless spoons for bass you will want to be using heavy fishing tackle, rods and reels. I like to point my rod tip at the lure on my retrieve, and again here be patient and allow the bass to take the lure.

Carp Fishing Secrets. The carp angler’s bible. Over 270 pages of carp fishing advice from the home of carp fishing.

Now just remember, get out there enjoy nature, fresh air and let’s go fishing. When using these tips you will improve your results and of course have more fun.

Bass Fishing Secrets. Catch more and bigger bass immediately. We Guarantee it.

Finding and catching small northern pike is relatively easy. They spend most of their time in shallow, weedy areas from 2 to 15 feet deep. But catching those nasty monster northern pike is not as simple. They are found among the smaller pike during the spring, but as it warms up in the summer they move into deeper water, 15 to 30 feet or more. Fishing for these big fish becomes more difficult because they are more scattered. Summer angling for northern pike is also difficult if the water becomes too warm. If pike cannot find cooler water they do not eat as frequently or eat very little.

Bass Fishing System.

Northern pike are best fished during the daylight hours. They are rarely caught while fishing later at night but it does happen.

The mature northern pike generally stay in one area, hiding in weedy cover waiting for that bait fish or hopefully your enticing lure or bait. Typically northern pike lay motionless waiting in ambush in the weeds or near submerged cover like logs or rocks. Then they like to make short vicious lunges at passing baite fish and again your enticing offering. They can live in almost any freshwater environment.

Inlets and bays on the larger lakes or even the Great Lakes in Canada and the US harbor large numbers of large northern pike. These bays have slightly warmer water and more food than the open water.

Smaller northern lakes of the Canadian Shield can grow trophy northern pike, usually because they do not have the heavy fishing pressure of the southern lakes, they survive longer and grow to trophy size.

Tip! Local Specialty Fly Okay, this will take a bit of effort on your part. Every fishing area has a specialty fly that is known to have fish leaping out of the water before casting even begins.

Weedy bays and marshes of most lakes all hold northerns, manmade reservoirs hold large northern pike with all that submerged cover created is perfect environment for these nasty boys.

Bobber fishing for northern pike is a great, fun way to fish. Northerns cannot resist a big minnow dangling from a bobber. They may sit and just stare, but eventually that nasty pike will strike out and attack. Just cast that bobber and bait close to a likely weed-line, drop off, sunken island or point, then just sit back, relax and enjoy.

A bobber rig is easily made, use a 12 inch steel leader and a #1 hook. Attach a 1 1/2 or 2 inch bobber to the line. Add sinkers or split shot to balance. Hook a large minnow in the upper lip or just behind the dorsal fin. Regardless of the type of minnows you use try to use something at least 6 inches long.

Tip! The favorite crab for crab fishing is the blue crab, which is called Callinectes sapidus scientifically. And like its name, the blue crab comes in shades of blue, olive-green, and red.

The strike of a northern pike is usually violent. The fish may yank the bobber under on one strike. Release the line after the strike. A pike often grabs the bait in the middle or crosswise and then run with it. Then it will stop to swallow the bait, reel in any slack line then make your snap and set the hook. The fight of a big northern pike will test your tackle and of course your skill. Often they will put up very little fight until they are close to the boat or shore. Then without warning that northern will make a few long runs or even clear the surface in a leap to throw that hook, so get out there and have fun and enjoy yourself.

After northerns have left the shallows in summer trolling fast is a great way to entice these nasty predators to strike. Troll just off the weed beds, in about 20 feet of water, with large lipped deep diving plugs that will track straight at higher speeds. Most anglers use a stiff rods and level wind reels with 20 to 30 pound test line.

With that snake-like body, huge head and razor-sharp teeth, the northern pike has a fearsome appearance and a nasty reputation to match. It is not uncommon for a pike to strike a large bass, perch or walleye struggling on the end of your line. In some cases they will just not let go even when up to the boat.

Tip! For trout fishing, the leader should not be greased. It will not sink far enough to cause any difficulty when picking the line and lure from the water, but if it is allowed to float; it will cast a shadow on the bottom of the stream which may scare the trout.

In most waters, the northern pike is top dog. They will also feed on muskrats, mice, turtles, salamanders, small ducks and other birds, although they eat mostly fish. Often they will take on other fish half their size.

When northern pike are prowling the shallows, casting allows you to fish weeds or snag infested areas you could not otherwise fish. Lures; with lively action work best. Metal spoons that wobble entice the strike. Try using bright colors red yellow and silver work fine. Just vary your speed and jerk the bait now and then to attract the fish, again just go fishing and enjoy!

Tip! If a boat is used to catch crabs, you should use and drop cone nets with the bait tied to the bottom center of the drop net. This technique can also be used if fishing from a bridge.

When I was a lot younger about 25 years ago, I was fishing a lake and not having a whole lot of
luck. Even so, I was one of those “kids” who knew almost everything about bass fishing since I
had already done it for 25 years.

I seen this older gentleman walk up to the shore about 20 feet away and seen he had the exact
same lure on that I was using. I kind of chuckled to myself just knowing he wasn’t going to
catch anything since I didn’t and I had been using this lure most of my life. Well, after
watching him for about 5 minutes I seen he had caught one. I said to myself “the lucky bum” and
didn’t think any more about it, just went my way fishing as nothing happened.

Tip! Nomad Fly Fishing Journals A little self-promotion here. Nomad Fly Fishing Journals are compact writing journals that let anglers keep notes on their efforts.

Of course, I kept watch on him out of the corner of my eye. Pretty soon he had caught another
one to my amazement. Again, I said to myself “what a lucky bum” and kept on fishing knowing he
wouldn’t catch anymore but keeping an eye on him just the same. Again he caught another bass and
then another and then another and I said to myself, “Let’s see how this lucky bum is doing this”.

So, I was on my way walking towards him to talk to him. This man was one of the nicest gentlemen
I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I said, “I have fished that lure most of the day and
never caught one thing and you have caught all these bass just within a short time, how did you
do that?” He said, “Technique!” I said “technique?” He said, “yep, technique”. I went on to
tell him I had my own technique and that I fished this lure for over 25 years and usually with
pretty good results. Well, what he said next about floored me. “He said “you’re using it
wrong“. I thought, “What the hell is he talking about, me using it wrong?”. After all I was
young and still had 25 years of bass fishing experience. Who was this guy anyway to tell me I
was using one of my favorite lure’s wrong?

Tip! It is not good practice when fishing for trout to fish directly upstream so the flies, line, and leader will float directly over fish. The fisherman should make the cast from one side of the stream so the fly will only float over the fish.

I got looking at this pretty jacket he was wearing, I was in California at the time and I noticed
a couple of things about the jacket. The main thing I noticed was this one patch that said
“World’s Topwater Bass Fishing Champion” among lot of other sponsor patches. I said to myself “Um…maybe, I better listen to this man”. I can just say I am glad I did. He taught me what he was doing different, what I had been doing wrong and a technique that I incorporated from his and
my technique that I use on almost on all my topwater bass fishing retrieves even to this day.

Long Lost Fly Fishing Secrets. Discover original tips and techniques from early fly fishing masters and classics.

I was fishing with my son several years ago at a little lake we fish in Ohio. We were using the
exact same rod, reel, line and lure and even the same lure color. I had caught about 15 fish and
he hadn’t even had a strike and we were only standing about 10 feet apart. He said “Why are you
catching all the bass and I haven’t caught any?” I said, John, you’re not holding you mouth
right. He said “How are you supposed to hold it?” I said like this and made the worst face I
could think of to make.

Tip! Check your line just above the lure frequently when fishing crankbaits around rocks, gravel, stumps, and other hard obstructions. They can quickly fray your line.

Several months later he went to California to visit his grandparents and he was fishing in a
river for trout there. His grandfather came along and said “John, are you not feeling well?”
John said, “No, I’m fine Grandpa”. His grandpa said, “We’ll John, what is the matter with your
face?” John said, “Well, Grandpa, Dad said I had to hold my face like this to catch fish“.
John’s grandpa couldn’t wait to go back to the house to tell his grandma who told my wife who
told me. The funny part was I had forgot all about the other incident and me telling him to hold
his face like that.

Bass Fishing System.

So, what do both of these stories have in common? Even though the older gentleman and I was using the same lure, fishing the same water, he was catching bass and I wasn’t because he knew the “technique” to use. On the same hand when John and I was fishing, we were both using the same kind of rod, reel, line, and lure and I was catching fish and he wasn’t because I knew the “technique” to use in that situation and John didn’t.

It’s not only important to know what lure to use when you’re fishing but you have to know the
technique to use with the lure you choose to fish. It can make all the difference in the world
between a great bass fishing day and a not so good bad fishing day, to say the least.

Charles E. White has fished for bass for over 50 years. In that amount of time, he has caught over 6,000 bass with his best day being 76 bass in 3 hours. His biggest bass is 12 pounds 14 ounces.

Tip! For trout fishing, the leader should not be greased. It will not sink far enough to cause any difficulty when picking the line and lure from the water, but if it is allowed to float; it will cast a shadow on the bottom of the stream which may scare the trout.

Tip! Local Specialty Fly Okay, this will take a bit of effort on your part. Every fishing area has a specialty fly that is known to have fish leaping out of the water before casting even begins.

Summer walleye, this is the time for the most popular game fish in Canada. Tens of thousands of anglers consider this their favourite fish to catch for the sport and mostly for the fact that it is one of the greatest fish to eat.

This tip comes from an experience while fishing walleye in Northern Ontario, on Manitoulin Island, in went out early in the morning hoping to pick up a few walleye early.

I headed for a shoal that I fish frequently; it is about 20 to 25 feet of water, and drops off to about 70 feet deep. After about and hour or so, I had 2 small walleyes to show for my effort. Guessing that the cool front that moved through over night had affected the fish, I started to fish the drop off and along the length of the shoal, and still no fish. With the help of technology (fish finder, sonar) I found that there were groups of fish suspended at 20 to 25 feed in 75 feet of water. I finally surmised that the fish holding at this level would be very hard to get to, and when suspended like this they are usually not in a feeding mood.

Tip! There are different methods of crab fishing, which are quite cost effective and others that need a lot in terms of money and time. You can use a dip net to catch the crabs.

The next problem was that to reach these fish with my jigs and no bottom structure to follow was near impossible, although down rigging or trolling would preset my bait at a better level, if they were not actively feeding it was again a tuff sell for these walleyes. What is needed in a situation like this is a slow presentation of the lure or live bait. What I needed was a bait delivery system that would consistently put me at the right depth and slow enough to keep the bait in the strike zone for a long time, so as to tease them into action. I also wanted to be able to make long casts to allow long drifts through these suspended walleye schools.

My Ice Fishing Secrets. Earn 40% people download it and pay.

I decided to give a slip-bobber a try; it’s simple and deadly when used right. Most anglers don’t use this walleye technique enough it works. The slip bobber, slips up and down the line from your hook to a bobber stop you set for the desired depth. I needed to get the bait down 25 feet; with the slip bobber the stopper you use to set your depth is so small that it will pass through the rod guides and onto the reel without no problems at all. And if you find your depth is not quite right you simply move the stop up or down.

Now with the slip bobber controlling my depth accurately, I was able to drift my bait (live bait, jigs, and plastics work well) right through these schools of walleye at nose level, also able fish very slow giving these finicky walleyes lots of time to make up their minds about having a snack. It was a large school of walleyes and the result was a couple of hours of super walleye fishing.

Tip! This might be the first time that the family is going to the lake. It will be a good idea to ask if there is a guide that will be able to direct the people to the best fishing site.

If you think about it slip bobbers can be used with your favourite live bait for walleye fishing. Either a plain hook or jig tipped with a minnow, worm or leach can be fished in the same way for precise depth control. Plus slip bobbers are not restricted to walleye fishing. They are great for all sorts of fishing, when conditions call for depth control, long distance casting or a really slow presentation. I have used them for trout and salmon in rivers, and even on bass in small clear pools where a long cast and slow movement is needed. I have taken a lot of nice bass from under and alongside the numerous swimming rafts and docks around different lakes I have fished and used this method quite successfully. These tactics also work great around bridge pillars, piers and supports, and weed lines, and dams. By casting so easily and smoothly they are great for kids, they love to see the bobber twitch and disappear.

The Fly Fishing GuideBook. A Complete Step-By-Step Training Kit Filled With The Latest And Proven Fly Fishing Techniques.

Once you start walleye fishing and any other species, you will likely find all sorts of situations where they will be the answer to speed and depth control. Pick up a couple and try these tips, you will not regret it. Just go fishing!

Tip! Dress for the occasion. If you’re ice fishing, don’t forget thermal underwear and insulated footgear.

So you have decided to take up fly fishing. Where do you start? Having just gone through the process myself I have found it to be quite a journey. I thought that decades of spin fishing would prepare me for an easy transition to the “art” of fishing with the fly rod. In reality this is not the case.

I found that the various aspects of fly fishing each involve a fair bit of research and/or hands on training. Before you can even begin fishing you have to buy the equipment, learn casting/fishing techniques and gain at least a basic knowledge of fly selection for the fish you want to catch. This takes dedication and many hours of research, training and practice. Furthermore, becoming a proficient fly fisherman could take years of practice and experience.

As tedious as that all sounds it actually has been a lot of fun. Many people make the mistake of trying to teach themselves how to cast which in many cases just leads to bad habits. Like anything learning the right way from the beginning is always better than trying to break a bad habit after a year or two of frustration.

Tip! If you plan to go crab fishing onshore, then the best time is when the tide is rising. For onshore crab fishing, you’ll need a dip net, long string and some type of bait, like eel, chicken necks, or small fish.

A beginning fly fishing lesson from your local fly shop or association is a good place to start. Not only will learn the basics in casting but a general knowledge of fly types, equipment, knot tying and fishing techniques and strategies for your area. Many times you will also be able to demo the various types and weights of fly rods. This will enable you to make more educated equipment purchases and ensure you get the right rod for the lowest price.

Once you have your lesson and have picked up the gear it’s time to get out there, right! Wrong. Now you have to get the right fly for the water you are fishing for that particular time of year. This is where I recommend going to a reputable fly shop in your area that can help you pick out the right fly for that particular time of year for that particular lake or river. Finding someone to mentor you is an even better way to learn as you can compress the learning curve by drawing on your mentor’s knowledge.

Tip! If a boat is used to catch crabs, you should use and drop cone nets with the bait tied to the bottom center of the drop net. This technique can also be used if fishing from a bridge.

More and more anglers are taking up fly fishing because of the pleasure it brings. Not only is there a lot of enjoyment in executing a nice cast, but it’s a type of fishing in which you can learn as much as you want, or maybe just a little and have a good time. Anglers are also learning that a fish on a fly rod fights much better than one on a bait rod and that lots of species of fish in either salt or fresh water take artificial flies. Some get into it deeply, learning names of all the insects and tying their own flies, while others are content with simply casting a fly out and seeing a fish rise and take the offering. There is no gender or age discrimination in fly fishing, anyone can do it and with a little practice they can do it very well. Happy fishing.

Secrets That Every Fisherman Needs To Learn To Be Successfull.

Just one hour from Toronto we experienced guided platform raft fishing on the Grand River in Paris. The river offers abundant small mouth bass, fall/spring rainbow trout as well as pike, walleye and big carp.

The platform fishing was excellent. Two fishermen could easily fly fish for bass or trout with lots of space. For those that bait cast, there were deck chairs elevated above the water allowing easy vision of striking fish.

Bass Fishing Secrets. Catch more and bigger bass immediately. We Guarantee it.

The speed of the raft allowed many casting opportunities. At each pool and swift there was lots of time to hit every spot with numerous casts.

In April to mid-May rainbow trout or steelhead are abundant in the river as the river gets warmer these fish head for Lake Erie but return in September, offering lots of action. There was also excellent fishing for rainbow trout and brown trout in the pristine cold waters of Whiteman’s Creek, which joins the Grand River.

In July/August the small mouth bass dominate the Paris section of the Grand River. Locals expressed no surprise at catching 40 bass in several hours at the beginning of the bass season.

Pike and pickerel were present in this section of the Grand River, but minor in comparison to the trout and bass. The nearby Nith River offers much better pike and pickerel fishing opportunities.

People that are traveling in the area and in need of tackle can simply rent from the Big Catch fishing shop in Paris for twenty dollars per day. If looking for accommodations, the countryside setting of the River Ridge Bed & Breakfasts caters to fishermen. It offers excellent accommodations and breakfast… but it is the soothing outdoor hot tub for the tired fisherman that appeases most!

Tip! It is not good practice when fishing for trout to fish directly upstream so the flies, line, and leader will float directly over fish. The fisherman should make the cast from one side of the stream so the fly will only float over the fish.

Part of the Grand River in this area has been zoned Exceptional Waters to preserve the fish populations against heavy fishing pressure. This barb-less, bait-less, catch & release zone contains some very healthy fish populations.

The biggest surprise was soaking in a wilderness fishing experience so near to the city of Toronto. The platform raft fishing offers some of the best fishing on the Grand in Southern Ontario. Definitely a great river for a days fishing!

It allows you to change lures quickly and enables the bait to vibrate more freely.

With all the tension and stress in life the last thing you need is more stress when bass fishing.
If you’re fishing tournaments, going after that big hawg or just bass fishing with friends and
have competition between the few of you that fish together, then maybe it’s time for a break.

Long Lost Fly Fishing Secrets. Discover original tips and techniques from early fly fishing masters and classics.

What kind of break you ask? A break from bass fishing stress! A laughter break! Yes, they
say laughter is the best medicine and if you’re uptight every day you just might find out a truer
statement has never been spoken.

If you’re bass fishing is no longer relaxing and no fun anymore then back away for a little while
and get a cup of coffee and start reading. What are you going to read, why fishing stories, bass
fishing jokes and how about a free bass fishing e-book that is hilarious?

Here is just an outtake of the e-book I’m talking about:

Have you ever tried to catch those little minnows that dart all over the place? It’s
not easy is it? I mean even with a casting net in a whole herd of them you still
don’t get very many for the effort. Well, you’re in luck I have made a plan that
makes it a lot easier.

Here is what you do.First, take your wife along for moral support. That is a
main step in this technique. Second, go to your local bait store and get a 10 foot
casting net.

Ok, now for the technique itself. Go out in your boat and find some minnows on
top swimming. You will know there are millions of them below the surface. Then
take your boat and start to go around in circles, this will gather them into a
smaller size gathering. Keep going around in circles for maybe a half hour letting
the group get into a smaller circle each revolution.

Tip! Hiring a fishing guide might be a great idea if you’re new to the area, even if you’re an expert fishermen yourself. You can hire a guide for your first day and he can show you where the fish are biting at that particular time, then you can strike it out on your own for the rest of vacation.

Now, once they are in a circle, give your wife the cast net. You take a quarter
stick of dynamite and light it but be sure to have your wife with the catch net and
ready beforehand. The next step in crucial in timing. The second the dynamite
is lit and thrown in the water have your wife spread out the cast net and jump in
the water with it and gather all the minnows she can immediately. This is very
important because if the minnows are shocked too much and go all the way to
the bottom, then you wife might not be able to hold her breath that long to go all
the way to the bottom where the minnows are located.

How To Make Fishing Lures.

Believe me, I am talking from experience just last week we had to call the
emergency squad for her because she came floating back to the top and can you
believe it, she didn’t have one damn minnow in that cast net when she finally
surfaced. I guess the EMT’s couldn’t believe it either because I heard them say
“you’re not going back and do that again, I guess?” I have to agree with them, I
mean they couldn’t believe it either she came back up without one minnow in that
net.

Bass Fishing Basics. Learn to catch more Bass even if you’re a beginner.

You do have to show some sympathy for her though so this is what I do. She
comes up usually crying and holding her ears. So, I put my hands over my ears
too and throw water on my face so when she surfaces she thinks I am in pain
and crying too. Then she will start yelling and I will just point to my ears and say
“I can’t hear you sweetheart”. Make sure you have some kind of painful look on
your face as I assure you she will when she comes up. I got her some ear..

If you want to read more of the story, you can get the e-book free. Just look in my
resource box below.

Tip! The favorite crab for crab fishing is the blue crab, which is called Callinectes sapidus scientifically. And like its name, the blue crab comes in shades of blue, olive-green, and red.

Alaska salmon fishing tours were started on a simple premise. A need was spotted in the fishing market, and several folks decided that if no one else was going to satisfy this need, well, heck, they sure would do it. More than 30 years later, many of these businesses have created huge empires for themselves.

If you’re a fisherman, and you haven’t really given much thought to planning a fishing vacation for yourself, then there’s no better time then the present.

Imagine yourself in Alaska, far from the urban sprawl of everyday life, standing in a clear, crisp river that’s loaded to the brim with trophy salmon and healthy, beautiful arctic char. A short 100 yards from the rivers edge is your private Alaskan fishing lodge. All around you is the pristine wilderness of Alaska, and no one to interrupt the view, and no one to disturb your concentration as you attempt to land “the big one”.

Every fisherman dreams of the day he or she can make the pilgrimage to the fabled Alaska Salmon Fishing Mecca. Living your Alaskan dream doesn’t have to wait any longer. It’s actually much more affordable than you realize. There are many Alaska Salmon Fishing packages available that are designed to fit just about any budget.

Tip! If you plan to go crab fishing onshore, then the best time is when the tide is rising. For onshore crab fishing, you’ll need a dip net, long string and some type of bait, like eel, chicken necks, or small fish.

It takes a special breed of angler to flock to this nook of the world, where many a fishing lore is born. Alaska fishing legends are home to salmon runs so thick you can walk across their backs, halibut so big they’re called barn doors, and bottom fish so plentiful, fishing for them is called “catching”. Historically, Alaska’s fishing bounty has been so rich that it could feed a hungry world, and continues to do so to this day.

Long Lost Fly Fishing Secrets. Discover original tips and techniques from early fly fishing masters and classics.

If you plan an Alaska fishing trip, you will definitely want an experienced, well-seasoned guide. Ideally, you need to find someone who can pinpoint the best time, place and specific areas to fish. The best fishing guide is one who knows these waters thoroughly. Many companies have seasoned and friendly Alaska fishing guides and charter captains who will make your Alaska fishing trip a very pleasurable experience.

Have you ever tried walleye fishing at night?

One of the great things about walleye fishing at night is you are almost always alone on the water, giving
you a huge advantage over the other anglers while they sleep.

Here are some insider tactics to use next time you decide to give it a go after the sun goes down.

Some walleyes will only eat when there are low-light conditions and minimal lake disturbances. This is important, because if the water is calm you’ll have an excellent chance to clean up on the walleyes at night. The walleye species is sensitive to light. However, at the same time the fish is also attracted to bright things, such as the shimmering of a lure that glows or is fluorescent.

It is crucial that you understand the mindset of your prey. The walleye has a unique lifestyle with its own distinctive habits and preferences.

One of the first things to do when you get on a lake is to look for things that aren’t showing on a lake map. Things such as rock formations, pockets of depth fluctuations and other abnormalities that are not readily obvious to all anglers. Night fishing can usually be quite bountiful in small patches of gravel that appear close to weeds.

Tip! For trout fishing, the leader should not be greased. It will not sink far enough to cause any difficulty when picking the line and lure from the water, but if it is allowed to float; it will cast a shadow on the bottom of the stream which may scare the trout.

Keep an eye out for minnow formations during the day. Usually you’ll find them near bay entrances. If they’re there during the day, you can be sure the walleyes will be there at night.

When the weather is consistent, walleyes are very predictable. If you find them feeding at a certain time, you can be sure they’ll be there the following night around the same time. Try live bait with a variety of glow in the dark lures and prepare for a feeding frenzy.

Bass Fishing Secrets. Catch more and bigger bass immediately. We Guarantee it.

Tip! For trout fishing, the leader should not be greased. It will not sink far enough to cause any difficulty when picking the line and lure from the water, but if it is allowed to float; it will cast a shadow on the bottom of the stream which may scare the trout.

Deep sea fishing is an experience, while it is a known fact that many people like to fish and enjoy fishing as a hobby of deep sea fishing is a little different and provides a whole different experience of fishing for most people. For those who appreciate fishing there are many other factors that contribute to the whole thing, the solitude and peace of fishing and the mental game that is part of the waiting and planning your moves, the technical part of fishing is very different from one fisherman to the other, but the basics of the environment and the governing principals of the fishing event stay the same in almost all circumstances.

Deep sea fishing is different than is regular fishing, it is much more of an adventure and a fun ride than anything else, for anyone who loves fishing and the sea it is one experience that should not be missed, the force of the ocean and the experience of fishing in a the ocean, where any fish can appear out of the blue literally will change the life of an amateur fisherman and would provide him with many things to think about when he is planning his next fishing trip.

Tip! If a boat is used to catch crabs, you should use and drop cone nets with the bait tied to the bottom center of the drop net. This technique can also be used if fishing from a bridge.

A very popular deep sea fishing destination is the Gulf of Mexico where there are plenty of fish, the variety is not only good for fishing but also good for a general education of the fish that are living in this area of the world, and a good lesson in fish naming too. You can find mostly grouper and snapper in these waters but you also stand a very good chance of running into many other offshore fish like tuna and kingfish, Spanish mackerel and giant red fish.

The captains of these fishing boats are experts in fishing locations and usually know the fishing destinations well enough to guarantee a good trip, needless to say these captains are also professionals that will make sure that you are traveling safely and that the rules and regulations of proper conduct at sea are maintained. The crew of the ships is usually there to make all the arrangements for the fisherman on board so there will be no hassle and no hard work for anyone, some fishing boat crews even clean and bag the fish for you to take off the ship with you.

Tip! Check your line just above the lure frequently when fishing crankbaits around rocks, gravel, stumps, and other hard obstructions. They can quickly fray your line.

With the wind in your hair and the smell of the ocean you will be riding the waves to a fishing experience, maybe even accompanied by dolphins as you go. With a little luck you will see and experience some amazing fish in their natural habitat and will also fish in the natural water sin which they live, ocean fish may turn out to be much stronger than you would think. With professional crew and captain your deep sea fishing experience should be a wonderful memory and maybe even a chance to break a few of those fishing records that you know everything about.

With all the problems we have to deal with at work, at home, and even in our society, spending a fair-weathered weekend with family or friends doing just anything that gives us joy and relaxation could be the greatest thing we can do for ourselves.

Carp Fishing Secrets. The carp angler’s bible. Over 270 pages of carp fishing advice from the home of carp fishing.

Fishing is no doubt a great way to spend that weekend with your loved ones, especially when you have planned your trip or vacation very well. Although anything done spontaneously can be exciting and fun, it still pays to plan everything before going on a fishing vacation. This is especially true if you are going to a far-away and unfamiliar place and with a large group of people.

If you are planning for a long fishing vacation - say, a two-week vacation - you should find time to research your desired destination, be it in a crystal-clear river or stream, a lake in a nearby town, or even British Columbia!

Tip! Use a wire cross-locking snap when fishing crank plugs. It allows you to change lures quickly and enables the bait to vibrate more freely.

Among the best fishing destinations you can go to in North America are Montana, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and California. You can pick a place and start searching there.

How To Make Fishing Lures.

The Internet is a perfect place for you to start your search. There are several sites that provide guides for the best fishing destinations around the world. Some even offer complete fishing packages so you need not worry about anything from transportation to lodging, food, and fishing gadgets.

The success of your fishing vacation depends on how well you have planned your trip. With all the options and sources of information available, there is no excuse for a fishing enthusiast like you not being able to plan the perfect fishing vacation.

This technique can also be used if fishing from a bridge.

Many fishermen are discovering the wonderful sport fishing opportunities available in Alaska and are packing their rods and tackle boxes and taking a relaxing vacation to our northernmost state to participate in a growing number of recreational and tournament activities. Alaska is known for its rich hunting and fishing possibilities not only in America but all over the world. More and more travel companies and tour operators are offering Alaska fishing and hunting travels as one of their most lucrative products for business people as well as wealthy private persons or special interested groups overseas. In recent years the popularity of this sport has skyrocketed in the Alaskan region and specialized vacation packages have grown out of the demand.

Trout Fishing Secrets. Trout Fishing Secrets Revealed - How to Catch A Trout Everytime: When Spinner Fishing Your Favorite Stream Or River.

Fishing tours across Alaska are big business and give the sportsman the opportunity to interact with other enthusiasts who come from around the world. Many operators have day and week long tours that will take you to some of the best saltwater fishing available in the world. These packages usually included full lodging and a guarantee that you will catch more than your fair share of fish.

Long Lost Fly Fishing Secrets. Discover original tips and techniques from early fly fishing masters and classics.

For the true die-hard, many of these tour companies will arrange to have your prize catches sent back to your home on dry ice so that when you do arrive back from your getaway your fish will be waiting for you to show off to your friends and family.

Trout Fishing Basics. eBook for beginners.

Because of the popularity of this sport you are encouraged to make your reservations at least a year or more in advance. Popular fishing destinations can sell out quickly and it is not unusual to be put on a waiting list that expands out more than a year.

If you want more information on these pre-planned packages contact your local travel agent or get online where you will find many operators have dedicated websites setup that explain to you the adventure that awaits.

Tip! Dress for the occasion. If you’re ice fishing, don’t forget thermal underwear and insulated footgear.
