That year is the first of X Factor Tv show in Italy. That thing could be very important for all Italian music. X Factor ( http://x-factor-blog.blogspot.com/ ) program starts in January to make castings and stopped the last days of May, 2008. Winned by a Vocal Group, the ARAM QUARTET, the Tv Show wa started with many difficulties. the pubblic was not much. The Rai ( Italian Pubblic Televion) when a Show not goes in a good way stopped it. But that time authors, and the facts that X Factor in others Countries has had a big success, continued to program it. The choice was right. Episode after episode pubblic has encached and in May, when trasmission must stops, noone wanted to stop it. The reasons are culturales, more than only 'marketing'. To shows in a Tv program in 'prime time' some unknows singers doens't pay authors of many efforts dones. An Italian music show without gossip is not considerated a show... The gossip around the 'trues' winners of Sanremo, for example, is one of 'propeller' that can to go the engine of the most important event of entertainment in Italy( after an improbable World Championship of 'Soccer' in Italy, of course). All persons knows that" to know before the end who will be the winner " it's a very injustice, but the 'stylife', the old thinks of nepotism, relations anda sort of 'ometà' is all around Italian culture. The new tv format X Factor with the judges in direct of: 3 votes and that one - also in direct tv of pubblic from telephones, deletes all the 'gossip' aroud the probably winners.
In that kind of tv programs all show based on the talent of singers. To speak about Italian politic's songs it must starts from longtime ago: the Ist World War. It's 1917 the year of famous October Russian's revolution and, in the same year, the fascism takes its bases with the less knows Battle of Piave River. We can see these two storic episodies as the two bases of the same kind of music: the politic songs. The politics songs can starts in differents methods, but the most part of its, and the most importants comes from the authors and their political cares. Fascism goes to power in 1920 and it will be the only possibles form of politic: who doesn't want it, could be imprisons , or could be, in the most of politicians cases, expelled from Italy as a normal criminal, but who makes politics as socialists, comunists,liberals, repubblicans, in the most part of cases goes away from Italy and went to France. The others (little) part of Italians with different politic ideas to the fascism can only to rest in silent, do not partecipates to fascists reunions ( where all citizens 'must' to go for social reasons and workds reasons, for example who didn't subscribe to fascist partie can't make work career nowhere. In 20 years with Min Cul Pop; The Minister of Popular Culture: the most important ministere of fascism, for my opinion, copied some years after, from all Countries where freedom was only a dream: It had the charge to check every publication, seizing all that documents held dangerous or contrary to the fascist regime and spreading the so-called orders of press (or veil of it) with which precise dispositions were imparted around the content of the articles, the importance of the titles and their greatness. In fact, now when we'll eardh the video playlist we can undersand it. That thing can to undesand very well the really political situation in Italy: before the war all italians were fascists, after the war all italian were comunists ( or socialists). Comunists didn't has a 'MinCulPop', but we can said that the 90% of italian intellectuual were comunists, or were comunists' external sponsors. That thing still rest in all italian journalism and in the most part of italian culture, with some example also in many opinion Blogs of today.... That is a very bad thing for a cultural life. If everithing can has only a lef pointview or a right pointview, the reality will be always very too distance from reader's prespecive.The only difference between left and right intellecutals was on the numbers: the 'right' intellectual were only a little part of left one. Now the italian culture can only to make a self-critic. Many peoples starts to do it, but there are a big part didn't... That is one of reasons of the problems that there are, now, in my Country. That's the partisan's flower , the partisan's flower died for the freedom!" Now, in Italy after many years of terrorism, fear and hate, there is the peace.. but it's a peace without ideals and without religion; when ideals died what we can do with the peace?.....

FRANCESCO DE GREGORI has been, together De Andrè, Lucio Dalla and Venditti, one of most important Italian song-writers. Inspired by Leonard Coen and Bob Dylan, De Gregori starts to sing the guitar in the last years of '60's. He comes from a intellectual bourgeus' family, and was been his brother, that sings also him the guitar, to help Francesco to know others muisicians, with one of these, Venditti. Finally, in 1973 De Gregori makes his first album: "Alice non lo sa" , with a cryptic style, is the 1975 when pubblichs "Rimmel": is his first big success. Also for all '80's makes success, just for that moment, where pubblishes, that year, "Per brevità chiamato artista", where judges negatives the '68's cultural revolution in Italy; where it during 10 years (!). The music style of De Gregori is similar to Bob Dylan's style, for the texts that thing is more complicated. STEFANO BOLLANI is a child when it engraves a cassette in which it sings and it plays, it sends it to its myth, Renato Carosone, and it accompanies it with a letter in which he explains its dream. Carosone responds him recommending to listen him so much blues and jazz and so Bollani does. To 11 years it enrolls him in the Conservatory of Florence, where he will graduate in 1993, in piano. To 15 he treads the stages as professional, playing above all pop, and contemporarily he studies with big classic and jazz artists. In '96 Bollani meets Enrico Rava, a great italian jazz artist that he immediately invites him to play with him to Paris and it tells him: "You are young, you don't have family. ALLEVI, GIOVANNI is one of my old classmates!: We studied at same Perugia's Conservatory, the same strument: the piano, but We don't makes the same career. Only when I read his biography I remember of him, but We were only booys; I think We has had the same Piano's Teacher: a very beautiful woman and a good pianist, but not a good Teacher, for me; the same thing doesn't thinks Giovanni Allevi: he graduated with good grades at Perugia's Conservatory, in piano, after that he also graduated cum laude to the Univesity, becames a Philosopher and, of course for every classic piano players in Italy, He graduated as Composer, at Milan Conservatory. The strange thing for a musician that cames from Conservatory is plays jazz and classic, but, after, we'll shows about Giovanni Allevi ... In Milan Allevi meets Jovanotti that is also a producer: is '97 and "13Dita", (13Fingers) is the first album of Allevi, a strumental album. The songs are writes by Allevi and he plays the piano. No band, No other musical struments, no effects: only a man with his piano: the dream of all musicians: to have success only from him-self. In '97 He 'open' Jovanotti's concerts; after that he partecipates as pianist to Jovanotti's band; he went to make concerts in America, Europe, Italy in some Jazz and Rock Festivals; in 2002 he makes another album: "Composizioni" (Compositions), and continues his style: one man and his piano, just to that year: Allevi's new album: "Evolution" , he plays together an ' orchestra', finally! While he makes all these things, he wins many awards: as artist, as composer, as pianist, for his music and for his talent, in Italy, Austria, Neaples, "Carosone's award", Calabria, Sicilia; his songs are used as sountrack of famouse televion commercials for very famouse marks, for example BMW. I don't know if Allevi is true a good pianist, composer, or musician: in the last days I heard many of his compositions and performance with the piano. I can said that he is better as composer than as pianist, but he doesn't a bad pianist: I know many jazz pianists and just to this moment I don't heard from him 'incredible performances'... But I'm happy that pubblic that loves pop songs are going to know classic music, piano, jazz, thanks to Allevi Giovanni. That's a good thing, at the moment!!!

NEK ( Filippo Neviani) borns 35 years ago, in a little country village near Modena, in Emilia Romagna, the region that has the most good italian's cooking and home of many italian artists. He starts play music only 4 years old, and only 12 years old when, with his best friend open a 'Country-western' band: "Winchester", at 18 years changes band "White Lady" where he pubblish his firsts songs (he writes the music) and in few times he becomes the frontman of the band. He has a good voice and plays the guitar; that thing helps to him, in '91 to becames "Nek", where he writes all music together his old friend-band Paolo Cassiano, and texts writes by others. That 'team' will be the same just to now. We can catalogues Nek's music as 'melodic rock', or 'melodic pop', it's sure that is a kind of commercial music. In '93 he partecipates to Sanremo and all italian pubblic knows him, but the big success arrives, thanks to Sanremo, of course, with "Laura non c'è". In the competion his song is only 7th, but all lp " Lei, gli amici, tutto il resto" is one of more sold in Italy on '97 with 600,000 copies, and pubblished in Europe and in South America. It sold 2 million copies in all the world; the year after to follow that success, Nek's producers pubblishs the film "Laura non c'è", where Nek writes the soundtracks and compares in the lasts scenes. ANTONIO VIVALDI borns in Venice in 1678; many peoples doesn't knows He was a 'Priest', beyond one of most important italian authors and composer of Italian Baroque Music ever and one of most extraordinary violinist of his time. We can also said that he was the most important and influent Italian authors of his time; He helped to develop of 'concerto', together 'Torelli', another important Italian authors that we'll review. He wrote also: concerts, lyric music, 'sonate' and sacre music. His music influenced many classic musicians; one of most knows is Bach . The life hasn't too evidences, but we knows something thanks to some his famouses contemporary the teathre author Carlo Goldoni and German architet Johann Friedrich Armand von Uffenbach; as many others big music talents - Mozart for example - he dies forgot and alone about all the world. His father plays violin with Church's band and with a sort of trade union for musicians and composers, where plays'first' baroque music', Antonio takes his first lessons in that place. He has 24 years old when becames 'master of violin' ( maestro di violino) at an orphanage institute where he gives lessons. In that times many children were abandoned or orphaned or his familiars cannot support them also if Repubblic of Venice was very rich; in fact were was four of that kind of institutes, most talents of these boys and girls cluld go to choir or goes to do musicians. In the Venice of the early 18th century, opera was the most popular musical entertainment, and he starts to write its. Finally success becames and his operas are in Rome, Mantova, Milan, Venice. Is that time he writes "The four seasons" (Le quattro stagioni), his most knows concerts for violin: The nature's scene in music. They were a revolution in musical conception: in them Vivaldi represented flowing creeks, singing birds (of different species, each specifically characterised), barking dogs, buzzing mosquitoes, crying shepherds, storms, drunken dancers, silent nights, hunting parties (both from the hunter's and the prey's point of view), frozen landscapes, children ice-skating, and burning fires. Each concerto was associated with a sonnet of Vivaldi's hand, describing the scenes depicted in the music. Most of Vivaldi's repertoire was rediscovered only in the first half of the 20th century in Turin and Genoa and was published in the second half. Vivaldi's music is innovative, breaking a consolidated tradition in schemes; he gave brightness to the formal and the rhythmic structure of the concerto, repeatedly looking for harmonic contrasts and invented innovative melodies and themes. Moreover, Vivaldi was able to compose non-academic music, particularly meant to be appreciated by the wide public and not only by an intellectual minority. We can saids, as some musicians saids that in the music exist "before Paganini" and "after Paganini"; the only musician (for me) has had that big impact was for rock music and for electic guitar as paganini has had for classic musica and for Violin strument. NOMADI (Nomads) is a rock group founded in '63 from a singer, Augusto Daolio, the keyboarder, Beppe Carletti and battery, Manfredini. It is still in tour... it's one of most loved italian group. In '60's were an icon-group of freedom and of 'culture revolution', as the others in all 'west world'. Theirs songs calls about long airs, freedom, California, dreams and love, in '69 a particular song 'Dio è morto' 'God died' changes their career. That song saids as God dies when see the wars ( there was Viet-Nam war) , when see injustices, racism, drugs, and others bad things; but at end of song 'God resurges', to help all the world. I remember very well, I was very young and I sung with Churc's choir group, that song plays to us while the Saint Mass celebrated. To said that things can be normal, now, but 30-35 years ago, in Italy was as little revolution in society and religion's things. in fact, after Second Vatican Council ('62-'65), many things changes in Catholic religion, and these things are very important for Italian society. You never forget Vatican is in Italy and just to 1860 Vatican was a true state in the middle of italy that was 1/3 km2 of all Italy. Pope has been as 'The boss' of all european culture for 1,500 years!! But, as i wrote few times ago Italy makes in only 10 years big changes in everythings. the particular of "Nomadi" is that group is always in tour. They palays in all cities ( and in italy there are too many cities), also the more littles. That things help that band to know many many peoples. They doesn't has success in others nations as others famous italian groups or singers, but Italian pubblics loves them, years after years, generation after generations, still now, after 45 years of career in every Nomadi's concert there are young pubblics, medium-ages pubblics and old pubblics. I made a video playlist with more concerts possibles, where we can found the true feel of 'Nomadi'. In 1992 Daolio, singer and front-man dies, the same year also another component, in a car-crash dies. All the world think the group will end, but 'Nomadi is forever' ( it's their slogan) , and the group, restarts to plays its songs, as now, that they are in tour.

I thing that her songs was too commercials and writes only to make money when she leaves to plays disc music and starts to sing in Italian language love songs I understand that her voice is very beautiful and powered , but I think, also that time, her songs are more commercials than plays to make the better thing possible. Spagna's songs are pops, melodics, but follows the melodic pop that comes from U.S. and U.K., not the italian one. Whit her voice she could to sing very good songs, but I think her apprehension ( and her manager) doesn't permit to her. She also a song-writer. The most part of her songs has been wrotes by herself. Now, her career has 20 years old and sold 20 million discs; she makes only some television's appears, as that year, together Loredana Bertè to sing at last Sanremo's Festival. I'm very honored to present you: EUGENIO BENNATO one of builders of "Nuova Compagnia Canto popolare" (New Chant Popular Club) founded in '69. That group was been very important for all Italian Music Culture. Just to that moment the traditional Folk-music, not considerated a true music. It's hard to understand it, now; but the italian music divided in: pop-rock and opera, without takes in consideration the music that our grand-fathers sungs for many many years, we think for centuries, but Italy after 2nd World War makes a big transformation; someone saids that "Between 1950 and 1960 in Italy spended 100 years": from a farmer society becomes an industrial society: the traditions are leaving: men who plays these songs were olds and young men didn't play it. Eugenio Bennato together some others intelliget artists founded that group to preserve most folk music possible. of course the success was only between italian musicians, but now, thanks to them we have many albums very good songs, as "Briganti se more" ( video n. 4-5 with the translation in english), about the "Italian Banditism History" , a song soudtrack of a Telefilm made by Italian television Rai around the riots in Italy between 1861 (date of Italy's unification) and 1866; the reasons because now, South Italy has many problem has mafia, camorra, 'ndrangheta, politics corruption, and a less economic develop than the Nord. "Sono solo Canzonette" (It are only Songs) by EDOARDO BENNATO, has been my first Lp I bought; it was the best Edoardo Bennato's success and one of bigger success of Italian songs ever. Bennato has 33 years old and the songs on Lp are about Peter Pan's story. The "Il Rock di Capitan Uncino" (Captain Hook 's rock) ; "L'isola che non c'è" (The nowhere isle);and 'Sono solo canzonette' are, still now, some of most beautiful italian songs, as text and as music. He was know as Song-Writer. All songs by Italian success' song-writers were politically cares ( on left), social utilities and politically correct. Also Edoardo Bennato just to thit moment wrote good songs , but with that album he brokes all that. Are only songs, he saids. The music, very important for all youg peoples, talks about revolution, about social dreams, but Bennato wants stop the "link" between good music and political music. Bennato starts to play music in earlier '60's, considerated one of the most creative and innovative songwriters of his time. He was only a teenager when he goes to london to play music on the london's underground as one-man-band. he plays guitar,harmonica, kazoo, tambourine by foot and, of course sings. His music distinguished itself for being an imaginative blend of blues, rock'n'roll, folk influences and even hints of opera. Firsts works - the first album was on '73 'Non fati cadere le braccia'- has text irony and satire. He have had many success and in '80's also in european countries; in 1990, together Gianna Nannini writes and plays 'Notti magiche' the Italia '90 Football World Championchip; of course it's big success. After that he makes the most commercial songs. I don't likes that kind of music, too commercial. After ten yars, in '03 write a good song againsta the war: "A cosa serve la guerra" (The war is useful?) finally, the good Song-writer that We loves.
