Hyundai launches i10 LPG variant

Hyundai India launched their all new i10 LPG variant called the i10 Blue Drive. Hyundai i10 LPG will be available in two of their models, 1.1 Magna and 1.1 Era. With their initiative to promote eco-friendly and non-polluting transport, country's second largest car making company the LPG version of the Hyundai i10. The all-new LPG version will be available at an additional cost of Rs. 27,630, in comparison to the existing petrol version.

This model comes with a factory-fitted LPG kit that has a 34-litre LPG tank while the conventional petrol tank has a 35-litre capacity. According to Hyundai, the LPG-kit is ARAI certified and is impact resistant as well. It is also certified by DOE (Department of Explosives). The LPG-kit is also backed by a two year warranty. Announcing the launch, Mr H W Park, MD and CEO, HMIL said, “The LPG version of our Next Gen i10 is a viable alternative for customers looking at low running cost. With the launch of the i10 Blue Drive, Hyundai is broadening its eco-friendly initiative. Hyundai believes in preserving the environment by making eco-friendly cars that run on low emission fuels."

The i10 Blue Drive is priced at Rs 4.2 lakh for the Era while the Magna LPG variant is priced at Rs 4.31 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Lamborghini launches Aventador LP700 in India at Rs 3.69 crore

India is certainly making their presence felt at every segment of the market – here we are talking about the Automobile Market. With all international automobile companies eyeing India as one of the hot selling markets, Italian luxury sports car-maker Automobili Lamborghini SpA on Thursday launched its latest model, the 'Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4', priced at Rs 3.69 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), in the country.

"India is an emerging market for sports cars, which is evident from the successful Formula 1 race event. We have already received 20 bookings for the Aventador," Automobili Lamborghini SpA Marketing Manager, South-East Asia and Pacific, James Page said.

The Murcielago replacement is Lamborghini’s most powerful offering yet and boasts of a 6.5-litre V12 motor which belts out 700ps (691bhp). All that power is transmitted to all four wheels via a seven-speed transmission. The Aventador uses new-generation reinforced carbon fiber which has been developed with help from Boeing Aerospace. As a result the Aventador weighs just 1578kg, which is lighter than the Murcielago by about 100kg. The Aventador can give a top speed of up to 350 km per hour.

As we shared the news earlier of its Global launch here at Car Adda in March this year at Geneva Motor Show, this supercar has now arrived in India and during its India launch Page said, “The car was launched globally in March this year and so far, we have received 1,500 orders worldwide. In India, people have to wait for about 18 months to get the delivery of their car”.

Indian customers eyeing this supercar can also start thinking of taking an owner-training programme being conducted by Lamboghini at the Buddh International Circuit, Indian F1 track.

Range Rover ‘Evoque’ set to be launched in November 1st week in India

Land Rover is all set to launch their small engine product – Evoque by start of this November. The company is gearing up to roll-out the all new Land Rover Evoque in the first week of next month, which will be followed by much awaited luxury sedan from JLR – the Jaguar XF by the third week of the same month.

Land Rover has even updated its website with all round information on Evoque signaling anytime launch of this small packet machine. Earlier, Evoque was spotted testing in Pune and it was expected to have a first public glimpse of this Land Rover product at the New Delhi Auto Expo, 2012. But looking at this website listing, it seems the launch would happen before the end of this year.

Land Rover Evoque is a stylish and curvy next gen SUV, which was even shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2011. It would be available in two variants – petrol & diesel. The body styling has been different for both variants –

3 door (2.0 L Si4 Coupe) : Powered by a 2.0 L Si4 petrol engine with 240 PS and 340 Nm
5 door (2.2 L SD4) : Powered by a 2.2 L SD4 diesel engine with 190 PS and 420 Nm

The engine is fitted with a 6-speed automatic transmission that has been engineered to improve fuel economy and that features Drive Select, an advanced rotary gearshift with steering wheel mounted paddle controls. The 5 door version is further available in 3 variants – Pure, Prestige and Dynamic. The 3 door version is only available in a Dynamic variant. The Evoque is loaded with cool technologies such as hill descent control, terrain response, start-stop technology and regenerative brake system.

The expected price for Evoque is estimated between INR 50 lacs – 60 lacs. Stay tuned for the actual release and the price for this definitely ‘value for money’ car.

Ford Introduces Limited Edition Endeavour 4X4 Hurricane

Ford India launches the new 4x4 Hurricane Limited Edition of its premium SUV Endeavour during the festive season. The all new Endeavour 4X4 Hurricane is filled with enhanced features, attractive look, more entertainment options, great styling and greater safety and convenience on the vehicle.

The Endeavour 4x4 Hurricane Limited Edition will be available at an attractive price of INR 20,13,244 (Ex-showroom Delhi) and will be equipped with a new muscular Front Nudge bar that adds to the muscular and tough look, specially designed Chrome exhaust trims, 5th-Door convex mirror and the contemporary Hurricane body decals.

Categorized as one of the most prominent known muscular cars in the SUV (sports utility vehicle) segment, the new Endeavour Hurricane Limited Edition’s exterior is enhanced with new muscular Front Nudge bar that enhances the tough look and provides greater safety. To add to that the new bright rectangular headlamps and chrome grill has been upgraded to the vehicle. The 5th-Door convex mirror improves drivability and safety.

Internally, the Hurricane Limited Edition is spacious – with three rows of seats and ample legroom. The Endeavour 4x4 Hurricane Limited Edition has enough space for 7 people and their entire luggage. It has an in-built DVD player supporting various file formats & has a USB input and AUX-IN port to support MP3 players like iPod.

The limited edition Ford Endeavour 4×4 Hurricane is powered by a 3.0-litre Duratorq TDCi common-rail engine which develops 380 Nm of torque at 2500 rpm, and a rated power output of 156 PS.
