History has it that the gasoline prices have been higher than the diesel fuel prices. But then again, this does not always hold true. During some winters, the demand for distillate heating oil increases which also raises the price of diesel fuel-so much so that is becomes more expensive than gasoline.

In the United States since September 2004, the price of diesel fuel has been by and large higher than the price of gasoline all year round and this is due to numerous reasons. The worldwide steady increase of demand for diesel fuel and other distillate fuel oils has put pressure on the tight global refining capacity-more so with the strong demand of such products in China, Europe, and the United States.

The transition from low sulfur diesel (LSD) fuel to ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) fuel in the United States has affected the diesel fuel production and distribution costs. This is due to the new Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards for diesel fuel sulfur content.

Another reason for this shift in the norm between gasoline and diesel fuel prices is that the federal excise tax on the latter is higher than the tax on gasoline.

The Primary Factors Affecting The Price Of Diesel

Cost and supply of crude oil - The worldwide supply and demand of crude oil determines its price, and the rising demand has put great pressure on the supply. The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has all of the spare production capacity and possesses a significant percentage of the world's crude oil reserves. The prices spike as a response to the disorder in the international and domestic crude oil supply.

Tight refining capacity and international diesel fuel demand - Refineries in the United States have been in operations at around 90-percent capacity. Other countries depend more heavily on distillates and diesel fuel than does United States, thus making the refining capacity tight worldwide. Competing international demand for refined distillates affects the price of diesel fuel in the United States.

Product supply/demand imbalances - The prices of other commodities are more stable as compared to the prices of fuels because of the dependence on petroleum and because there are few alternative fuels in the market. The stocks decline fast if the supply declines unexpectedly. When stocks are low and declining, some players may bid higher for the product. Prices will stay high if the diesel fuel transportation system cannot support the flow of surplus supplies.

Seasonality in the demand for diesel fuel and distillates - The price of diesel fuel slowly rises during the fall, declines in the late winter, rises through the early spring, and then declines in the summer. The demand by farmers during the different seasons creates an upward pressure on the diesel prices.

Transportation costs - The distance between the retail location and distribution terminals and refineries has a direct relationship with the transportation cost-that is, an increase in one increases the other.

Regional operating costs and local competition - Depending on the location of the dealer, the cost of doing business varies which include wages and salaries, benefits, equipment, lease, insurance, overhead, and state and local fees. Even if retail stations are in close proximity to one another, they still have differing costs. Another factor that affects diesel fuel prices is the number and location of the local competitors.

There are stock cars used as racing cars. There are sports cars used as racing cars. There are formula one cars used as racing cars. There are midget cars used as racing cars and there are off road cars used as racing cars. Just about any type of car can be used as racing cars as long as you have someone to race against and somewhere to race.

People have always been interested in racing. Racing cars have a long history. Ever since man invented the car, someone has been trying to make it go faster. And where there are people with cars interested in going faster, there will be racing cars. Man's competitive nature has always pushed him to try and outdo someone else. There have been foot races. And when horses were the main means of transportation, there developed horse racing and, of course, there were horse drawn buggies that were involved in racing, thus leading up to racing cars. People have always wanted to go faster and compete with other people trying to go faster by whatever means was handy at the time.

These days, racing cars are very expensive to buy, build and maintain. If you are interested in racing cars, you will need a lot of money to fuel your hobby and I don't just mean with the super high octane gasoline that racing cars require, either. Racing cars go through a lot of very expensive equipment very fast. During one race, you can go through a couple of sets of tires on your racing car and these are not cheap tires wither. And what about all the constant mechanical work racing cars need. Racing car clutches burn out regularly and cost thousands of dollars to replace. And what about racing car engines and engine parts? Again thousands upon thousands of dollars worth of car parts can be used up and/or destroyed in one race.

And speaking of destroyed, you do know that racing cars are dangerous, don't you? Racing cars are dangerous because they go so fast and at high speeds, the margin for errors in driving or judgement are very small. And since racing cars do go so fast, an accident at those speeds is no simple matter. A racing car that gets into a fender bender with another racing car while they are both traveling at over a hundred and forty mph could be in for some real trouble. To have your racing car bumped into at that speed could send you racing car out of control, causing you to hit the guard wall, which could cause your racing car to bounce back on the track and hit two other racing cars, setting off a chain reaction and a possibly deadly situation.

Have you ever wondered exactly what you can do with your car while you are at a car show? Aside from the obvious of staging your car perfectly there are some things that you can do to help pass the time, or even help share your love of cars with the different people who are there. From simple things to those that are more elaborate if you talk to the coordinators of the show you can usually have a lot of fun and do more than stand beside your car talking to the occasional visitor.

There are many car shows that would love to have someone doing detail cleaning, or a bit of light bodywork, or even some minor engine work to show visitors what goes into the car. If you are skilled in any of these areas, you could volunteer to demonstrate these skills and help teach the visitors a few things. This is something that you can that is very inexpensive, allows you to continue working on your car that weekend and still enables you to share your love of the vehicles.

Other things that you think about doing is bring along a television and VCR and perhaps show a video of you doing some work to the vehicle that you brought. This would enable people to see how far the vehicle has come and what type of work was put into it in order to get it ready to go to the car show. Realize that most people have no clue what it really involves to get a car ready for the show. They generally think that all you do is roll out of bed the day of the show and decide to go.

You could also consider having plenty of pictures and a small table that you set up to depict the work process. This would be a great way to also allow people to see the process and without the hassles of needing an inverter or electricity for the television. You would be surprised how much small details like this can really encourage people to spend time by your car.

Additionally, if you are willing to talk about the history of your car and how you have worked on it this is another great way to share experiences. Not all people at car shows are willing to talk about the work they have done on their car, if you choose to share you are in the minority. What their reasons are tends to vary, but for the most part there are few who will openly discuss their work. Feel free to talk about it and share your experiences. You may help inspire someone to start getting involved with their own vehicle.

You should be very careful though and always discuss your plans with the car show coordinators to ensure that there will be no safety concerns. Additionally, some car shows do not allow demonstrations because they feel that they are distracting or pose large liability risks. As long as you have received the okay from the event coordinators feel free to have some fun sharing your love of cars and showing off your skills as well as your gorgeous car. Just always ensure that you are making sure everyone is safe first, so leave the welder and other dangerous equipment at home.

If you are, have you done so before? If you have never attended a NASCAR race before, you may be looking for some guidance, especially when it comes to making your ticket purchases. The good news is that NASCAR tickets can be purchased from a number of different locations. A few of these locations are outlined below for your convenience.

One of the best ways to get NASCAR tickets is by doing so through the track in question. This is actually one of the safest ways to buy NASCAR tickets, as you are buying tickets directly from the source. What you can do is contact the NASCAR track in question, either by phone or email. This will first allow you to determine if tickets can be purchased directly. You can also learn about payment options. For example, can you pay for your tickets online, over the phone, or can you wait until the day of the race?

The internet is also a great way to go about finding and buying NASCAR race tickets. When using the internet, you will find that you have a number of different options. One of those options involves visiting a reputable online ticket website, such as TicketMaster.com. As long as you do business with a reputable website, you can rest assure knowing that you are purchasing genuine NASCAR tickets and for the normal, standard rates.

In keeping with using the internet to find and buy NASCAR tickets, online auction websites should also be examined. With a little bit of research, online auction websites are a great way to find affordable NASCAR tickets. With that said, caution should be used. Online auction websites, like eBay, allow internet users set their own prices. Unfortunately, there are some greedy people out there, who can actually be referred to as amateur scalpers. Before buying NASCAR tickets on an online auction websites, be sure to compare prices first.

Newspaper classified sections should also be examined, when looking to purchase NASCAR tickets. If you live near a NASCAR track, you may be able to find tickets for sale through a third party. Often times, individuals selling tickets had intended on going to the race themselves, but then another event or family emergency came up. As with online auction websites, be sure to use your best judgment. Never send money without first seeing that the tickets do exist, either in person at a safe location or through pictures in an email message.

In keeping with examining your local newspaper, also look for bus rides, also commonly referred to as bus tours. These are events when you are able to buy NASCAR tickets and bus tickets. You are often able to pay one large sum, which may include race tickets as well as bus tickets. This type of arrangement is ideal for NASCAR fans who do not have another method of travel.

As highlighted above, you have a number of different options when looking to buy NASCAR tickets for an upcoming race. To help ensure that you get good seats, as well as fair ticket prices, be sure to start searching for race tickets early on. In fact, the day that you decide to attend a NASCAR race, you should buy your tickets if they are available for sale.

If there's one thing the IRS loves, it's forms, and your tax deduction itemizations are hardly immune. So, it should come as no surprise that there are some additional forms to fill out and receipts to keep when you're claiming an auto donation as a deduction. Also, as you might imagine, this varies by the value of the gift.

Of course, value to you and I differs a bit when dealing with the IRS. The term "fair market value" led to some speculation in the past until the term was clarified to mean specifically what another party would be willing to pay for your vehicle in the fanr an open marketplace.

For instance, if a car is worth less than $250 you may claim tax deductions without any evidence to back up your claim. Indeed, you could claim several $200 cars had been donated without even supplying evidence of a receipt with your forms, though it should be kept on file with pictures of the car(s) just in case of an audit.

Though such a scenario doesn't effect most people, some people do have access to a steady stream of junk autos. In that case, it is useful to note that your tax deductions for a given year cannot exceed one half your income.

In the case of a vehicle that is worth more than $250 but less than $500, you will need to get a hold of a receipt (and dated) with the charity's name and number on it. This should be kept along with your other receipts for your tax deductions, just in case of an audit someday. Such records should be kept for at least 10 years.

In the case of auto donations, you may claim a tax deduction of up up to $500 or the sale price of the vehicle - whichever is greater. Though, you'll have to back up your tax deduction estimation of $500 with evidence to support that value, such as pictures or an appraisal from a third party.

Of course, hardly anyone has a car worth less than $500 appraised, though this is required of higher value cars. For those vehicles thought to be worth more than $500, though less than $5,000, the charity that you donate to will have to provide you with a Form 8283 with section A filled out. This form will cement your deduction value to the sale price of your car or truck unless it's actually being used by a needy individual or the charitable organization itself.

Herein lies the biggest difference between how one chooses to donate an auto. Since most cars thought to be worth less than $5,000 are sent along to wholesale auction when donated to a third-party agent of your preferred charity, the actual value received for them will be very low compared to what you might get if you took out a classified ad and tried to sell the vehicle yourself.

With a Form 8283 in hand that must be attached to your itemized tax deductions (schedule A on Form 1040), you are then beholden to claim only the amount of money that the charity in question actually received from the sale of your car or truck. On the other hand, if the car is put to actual use, you may claim the full "fair market value."

As such, the charity will send you a form telling you what use they intend to put your vehicle to, as well as the receipt you received when you transferred the title. All these should be kept in your tax records, just in case. Generally, only an approved Form 8283 is attached to tax deduction schedules.

If your vehicle is thought to be worth more than $5,000 at the time of donation, an independent, written appraisal must take place within 60 days of the donation. Again, you don't need to attach it, but will instead receive a Form 8283 with section B filled out. This will include the appraised value and will the amount you can legally take as a tax deduction.

You've got a nice pearled paint job. You've got your 18' sized chrome mags. You've got an interior job that looks like a dream. But all of that would be superficial if you don't have a good car stereo system in your ride.

A good car stereo system is a marvel to experience, just like a poorly constructed car stereo system is such a pity to look at. The price is a big factor, but not all expensive hardware perform well if installed haphazardly, or if hooked up with incompatible hardware. It is also subjective, just as some of us find black cars more appealing than other color cars. If you like your car stereo system more than any other in the same vehicle, then you have the best.

If you like some other car stereo system more than yours in the same vehicle, then that one is better. Only you can decide which is best for you. For a car stereo system to be a good or great, it must first meet or exceed the user's expectations.

The type of vehicle also plays a major part in what kind car stereo system you should build. For some people, after only being in a few vehicles their ears recognize the inherent characteristics of this unique environment. Most of what we hear in a vehicle is a recording of the original artist in a given environment, usually in two channel stereo which can be playing in a totally different environment with the listeners placed in awkward listening positions relative to the placement of speakers. A great car stereo system is created with the understanding of acoustics, basic electronics, and the different products that are to be used.

A good idea is to gain references to compare to your auto audio system or any other and experience it live in as many different environments as possible. One of the best ways to accomplish this is to go to expos' and conventions. As you hop from exhibit to exhibit you'll immediately notice the difference in sound characteristics of each setup. You will find some car stereo systems that you prefer over others, if not a favorite and that is the way to choose a cheap car stereo system that you like. Also ask for specs, they'll gladly give it to you.

The benefits of aftermarket speakers are: they have a larger frequency response (more music coming through the car stereo speakers), more power handling capabilities, they will brighten your highs and increase your auto audio system bass. There are two types of CAR speakers available: the dual cone and the two way. A dual cone has a small paper cone built into a larger paper cone.

Amplifiers are the backbone of your car stereo system. Weak amplifiers damage good car stereo speakers, not the other way around. Amplifiers provides musical power and contributes greatly to the elimination of distortion and the upgrade of sound clarity. The size of the amplifiers will be proportionate to the level of power you want. You can tell a good power amp by turning the auto stereo system above half volume and still hearing clear amplification. Bear in mind that the more power you have the better control you have over your system.

A good car stereo system is something to show for. It can bring satisfaction to you, the owner, and to those who will witness it. It will also raise the quality and value of your car in case you wish to resell it.

People are opting to buy hybrid cars because they do not want to always fall pray to pricing pressures, and because more information is being disseminated over the dangers of fuel-induced pollutants to the surroundings.

However, while hybrid cars are jam packed with all the merits that might instantly bowl the discerning consumer over, it is not without its share of faults and disadvantages. Of course, as with anything in this world, hybrid cars have 'catches' to their name. This is not to discount hybrid cars altogether. We will be discussing each one in brief here and hope that it will be able to help you make your choice if you're considering buying a hybrid car anytime soon.

Disadvantages of hybrid cars

1) Expensive Price

Hybrid vehicles generally cost more than regular cars because not too many of them are in the market yet. Much of this high price tag is attributed to the fact that hybrid cars come with a complicated battery pack and make use of an electric motor to operate. Maintenance tools for hybrid cars are also pretty rare, so expect to spend more on checkups and fix-its when the car bogs down. This can be addressed, however, over time, when more people begin to patronize hybrid cars and prompt manufacturers to make more units.

2) New and untested technology

Since hybrid cars' technology is fairly new, its performance is still untested. This means some of the problems that may be linked with them are still unforeseen. Thus, if a new glitch arises, it is likely that it will take a while for a solution to come up. However, this bit should not deter the buyer from purchasing a hybrid car, because, well, this is how regular vehicles started out in the first place. It is all a trial and error process.

3) Acceleration

Hybrid cars, though they boast of being able to perform as well as traditional vehicles, they are generally slower, making it difficult for drivers to keep pace with other cars especially on the freeway. This lack of accelerative power can be dangerous in certain situations. (However, other car owners can see this as an advantage, because it affords the user better control of his steering.)

4) High voltage

Another disadvantage of hybrid cars is the high voltage it requires to charge itself and get ready for operation. If the hybrid car gets into an accident, the high voltage wires could become open and exposed and could cause collateral harm. It could also cause short circuits.

5) Light weight

Because hybrid cars are lighter than regular vehicles, they are more prone to accidents especially during storms. Also, in the event of a collision with other cars, hybrid cars are disadvantaged because they are likely to spin out more easily than their heavier counterparts.

Reports have shown other disadvantages of hybrid cars, but, again, these should not stop anyone from patronizing the product because, well, everything has a catch. No product is perfect and it is good to know that manufacturers are in the constant search to making hybrid vehicles more user friendly and less accident prone.

If you were able to save enough money all those times, then that's good. But how about if you're not so lucky and you have spent your last cent on car repairs, where would you get the money then?

No problem. Many lending institutions offer cash loans in exchange for your car title. Car title loans are a type of loan where car buyers are charged high interest rates for emergency cash loans on a short period of time. In cash loans, you use your car title as collateral for the amount of money you borrow.

Because the cash loan for car title is usually short-term, the lender charges you high interest rates. If you can't pay off your cash loan on time, you can get a new car title loan and use the money to pay off your debt. The lender also has the option to resell your car with the car.

Cash loans for car titles usually range from $500.00 to $2,500.00. The amount depends on several factors, but usually, the amount is fixed at around $500.00. In order to get your cash loan for car title approved, you need to have a minimum annual income of $1,500.00. In addition, you also have to be employed at the same workplace for a period of six months or longer and residing in the same place for at least six months.

Below is a lit of some online auto financing sites where you can get cash loans for car titles. Compare the rates offered by each and find out which cash loans for car titles are best for you.

Cash Loans for Car Title: TheWWWStore.com

At TheWWWStore.com, you can find cash loans for car title offered by Trading Financial Credit, LLC whose offices are based in California. To apply for a cash loan at this site, you need the original car title (pink slip) of your vehicle. If you don't have that, you can use an original Notarized Lien Satisfied. Other documents you need include: registration, driver's license, Social Security Card, most recent paycheck stub, proof of insurance (must have full coverage), entire home phone bill, entire cell phone bill, utility bill, and ten references (names, addresses, and phone #s). You also need to bring the set of keys for your car.

Cash Loans for Car Title: FastBucks.com

Another online auto lender that offers cash loans for car title is FastBucks. At FastBucks, you can be approved for car title cash loans if you have the following requirements: clear title, vehicle liability insurance, employment at the same place for more than six months, and residence for more than six months. The car title cash loan amount offered by this online lender is up to 25 oer cent of the Kelly Blue Book trade in value. Maximum amount that you can get for your car title cash loan is $2,500. The minimum is $500.00. If you want to get a car title cash loan for more than $1,000, you must have an open checking account.

In the world of sports cars, the term "exotic" refers to vehicles produced in very limited numbers, often by smaller manufacturers and super high-end vehicles created by some of the better-known car companies outside of the United States.

Many exotics are legendary. The world's fastest car, the McLaren F1, for instance is a well-known exotic. Although only around one hundred F1s were produced and the manufacturer is not a household name, the McLarens are coveted sports cars. Other exotics are also highly sought after and are often among the sports car world's most impressive status symbols.

It is easy to be seduced by the allure of owning an exotic sports car. These vehicles are often considered the pinnacle of design and are incredibly tempting cars. When the opportunity to invest in an exotic presents itself, many sports car enthusiasts have a hard time resisting the urge to purchase the vehicle.

One should, however, seek to evaluate the vehicle with a level of objectivity. There are three factors a prospective buyer must consider when evaluating an exotic sports car for purchase.

Expense

Even if one can afford the asking price of an exotic, they need to be aware of the probable subsequent expenses and be sure their financial situation allows for quality ownership of the vehicle. Maintenance and repair is certain to be expensive compared to non-exotic vehicles and a buyer should attempt to discover what kind of costs he or she is likely to experience in order to keep the car in running order.

Parts, obviously, are in short supply-if they are available at all. Often the owners of exotic sports cars will need to have some parts custom-fabricated during their ownership of the vehicle. This is especially true of older exotics, some of which have been orphaned after their original manufacturer ceased to exist. This can be a painstaking and extremely expensive venture and one should make sure they are ready to add to their investment as time passes.

One cannot simply take their exotic sports car to the corner mechanic and hope that all repairs and maintenance are appropriately conducted. Specialized mechanical help will be necessary and this can involve great expense when one is not located near a suitable expert.

Too often a sports car buff will purchase an exotic, being quite able to afford the initial investment but being unprepared to handle additional future expenses. An accurate understanding of expenses and a realistic examination of one's own resources are certainly in order.

Reliability

Even though an exotic sports car may represent the ultimate in performance, it does not follow that the vehicle will be eminently reliable. High-performance sports cars can be quite delicate and may necessitate regular tinkering and adjustment to stay in operating order. Exotic sports cars are known for being spectacular performers when running well but the flipside of this phenomenon is that they are potentially among the most temperamental vehicles one may encounter.

If a buyer plans to operate their exotic regularly, it is essential to know about its level of reliability. This factor not only adds to the expenses mentioned earlier in some cases, it also can create a frustrating relationship between car and driver when an expensive investment fails to operate according to plan.

Drivability

For those planning on using their exotic sports car regularly, it is important to understand that performance and drivability do not always go hand in hand. Some exotic sports cars can be "too much car" for some drivers. A certain level of skill is necessary to operate these sports cars safely and comfortably.

Additionally, the pursuit of optimal performance has often required manufacturers to look past considerations of comfort and regular usability. If one plans to do more than display their exotic purchase and hopes to drive it regularly, they must understand whether they can successfully use the vehicle comfortably and safely.

When considering the purchase of an exotic sports car, one must look past the romance and excitement of owning a legendary vehicle. One must also focus their attentions on very real concerns regarding expense, reliability and drivability before investing in an exotic sports car.

If you are, you may enjoy attending NASCAR races. Unfortunately, most fans are unable to attend each and every race. Even if you are unable to attend a race, it does not mean that you cannot still enjoy one. There are a number of ways that you can make watching a NASCAR race a fun adventure, right from the comfort of your own home!

One of the many ways that you can have a fun adventure at home for a NASCAR race is by having a party. In fact, many race fans have small parties in their homes on race day. One of the best races to have a party for is the Daytona 500, which is commonly referred to as the super bowl of racing. No matter how large or small your race day party is, you will likely have more fun watching the race with others, as opposed to by yourself. For that reason, the next time that you must watch a NASCAR race from home, consider inviting a few friends over.

If you plan a NASCAR party or even if you just choose to watch the race by yourself or with your family, you will want to have plenty of snacks and drinks on hand. Most times, NASCAR races last at least two or three hours. Having a few snacks and drinks prepared and on hand will reduce the amount of time that you have to spend away from the television, missing all of the action.

Wearing your NASCAR merchandise or proudly displaying it is another great way to have a fun time watching a race from home. NASCAR makes it relatively easy to purchase team merchandise, including hats, shirts, sweatshirts, sweat pants, and much more. Wearing a shirt or even just a hat for your favorite driver can help to get you more interested in the race. It is also important to remember that NASCAR merchandise comes in a number of different formats. Aside from traditional clothing pieces, you can find and buy snack bowls, cups, plates, tablecloths, and even furniture that displays the colors, name, and number of your favorite driver!

Making a game out of watching a NASCAR race is another great way to create fun and excitement at home. This is ideal to do with both kids and adults. For example, you can all guess which driver will win or finish a specific lap in first place. Additional games can involve asking questions about the history of racing or a specific driver. If you are hosting a NASCAR race party, you may want to have fun prizes on hand for the winners of NASCAR games.

Buying extra NASCAR features that your television or internet may allow you to do is another great option. For example, DirecTV has a number of features available for NASCAR fans. One of these features includes an option that makes it appear as if you are right in the car with your favorite driver. A number of similar programs can also be found on NASCAR.com or by performing a standard internet search.

As highlighted above, there are a number of steps that you can take to make watching a NASCAR race fun and exciting. In fact, with a little bit of preparation, you may have just as much fun at home as you would at the track, but for a fraction of the cost.
