Maruti Suzuki India achieved this sales number on 9th February 2012 with half of the total sales 50 Lakhs (5 million) cars sold in 24 years from year 1983 to 2006 and other 50 lakhs (5 million) cars sold in just last 6 years, which is just 25% of the previous half sales duration ! Mahindra and Mahindra will launch the compact version of their Mahindra Xylo MPV in the compact SUV / MPV segment aka Mahindra Xylo Mini by November 2012 in India (before Diwali festival season).
