We’re gearing-up for our first trade-show of the decade! We’ll be exhibiting at Spring Fair (7—11 February, 2010). This year we’re in the brand new Fresh! area in Hall 3.

Fresh! is a new marketing concept which brings together design-led card and gift suppliers, who might get lost in the crowd, with discerning buyers who are having difficulty finding inspiring new products, at Britain’s largest and busiest trade show.

Southbank Arts Trail 2008

We’re happy to announce that we’ll be taking part in this year’s Southbank Arts Trail:

[…] a weekend of arts and performance in homes, churches, community centres and pubs around Southville, Bedminster and Ashton. There will be over 150 artists showing their stuff in more than 45 venues throughout the area.

Over the years I’ve enjoyed the Arts Trail as a viewer, so I’m excited about finally taking part as an artist! We will be exhibiting our range of greetings cards and canvas prints in the gallery / studio at number40.

It’s summer time and next week we’ll be back in the beautiful spa town of Harrogate, lounging around on the lawns of some of the town’s finest hotels, sipping Pimms and enjoying the sweet melodies from the outdoor jazz bands. Oh, and we’ll also be exhibiting our greeting cards at Home and Gift (15—18 July 2007).

Cardtastic Features at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show

Every year, for five days in May, the grounds of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, are transformed into the fabulous show gardens, inspirational small gardens and vibrant horticultural displays that make up the world’s most famous flower show.

The event showcases the finest examples of horticultural excellence. It sets the latest gardening trends and features the newest and most desirable gardening products.

Magazine publishers Country Homes & Interiors approached Cardtastic to feature their latest Floral and Allotment photographic greeting cards.

Country Homes & Interiors are exhibiting jointly with Hartley Botanical Glasshouses. This is the 2nd year they have undertaken this exciting venture, last year winning the much-coveted crystal award. This year 5 different looks have been created in each of the glasshouses which will also feature in the lead decorating spreads within the September issue of the magazine.

We’re going to be exhibiting at Spring Fair at the NEC, Birmingham (5—9 February 2006). If you’ve visited in previous years, you’ll know that it’s a huge show (there are over 450 greeting card exhibiters alone), so grab a pen and make a note of this important stand number: Cardtastic — C16 in Hall 3!

This year we’re situated in the new “Cards for Gift Shops” focus area. This new initiative aims to create an ideal environment for buyers looking for individual, high value product from smaller publishers. Many gift and lifestyle retailers (including garden centres) now include cards and wrap as an important part of their product mix; this newly branded section of the show will enable them to source exciting ranges from dozens of innovative suppliers.

We’ll be displaying our full range of greeting cards, canvas prints and our brand-new giftwrap. We hope to see you there!

Autumn Fair 2005: Made in Britain & Ireland

There’s only 5 days to go before the start of the Autumn Fair 2005 trade-show at the NEC, and we’re busy getting our stand ready! It’s a big show with lots to see, so it pays to plan your trip ahead of time. One route through the show is to follow the Made in Britain & Ireland trail that helps visitors locate homegrown talent throughout the halls:

Autumn Fair attracts major suppliers from across the globe. But if you're looking for homegrown ranges, we'll also bring you the very best gifts and home accessories designed and manufactured right here in the British Isles.

Look out for flags displayed on stands around the show, highlighting companies who manufacture at least 95% of their products in Britain or Ireland. You’ll find them marked out in the Black Book catalogue, and online.

Unfortunately, due to an oversight by the event organisers, we’ve been ommited from the Made in Britain & Ireland listings, so it’s time to blow our own trumpet!

National Allotments Week 2005

I bet you didn’t know that 8—13th August is National Allotments Week!

National Allotments Week aims to raise the profile and positively promote the activity of Allotment gardening and its availability to all.

Cardtastic’s founder, Helen Evans, is a “new generation Allotmenteer” and many of the photos that have become part of our Allotment Range were taken on her plot in Bristol. We’re celebrating the event by lowering the price of our Allotment Cards by 25% to £1.05 for the duration of Allotment Week.

Tsunami Relief

Like so many others around the world, we have been shocked by the devastation caused by the earthquake and tsunami that has hit many parts of Asia and east Africa. Many of the photographs in our range of cards were taken during memorable visits to this part of the world and Cardtastic wants to help those affected. Throughout the months of January and February we are donating half of the profits of internet sales to the DEC Tsunami Earthquake Appeal.
