Max Payne was the first game of its kind!! It sported “John Woo styled” cinematic action sequences in every gun battle. You’d think the guns would be the star, but its actually the slow-mo bullet damage induced by the rather “drug loose” theme of the game. Yes, we know… It’s the year of SEQUALS with so many SEQUAL games coming out between the end of 2011; and now in 2012. Max Payne 3 is no exception! Like its classmates, Max Payne 3 will dominate the air waves. Today, a co-worker who doesn’t even play games was telling me how much he’s heard about Max Payne 3! That’s a testament to the advertising machine of the gaming industry. Thankfully, Max Payne 3 is sure to live up to the hype!!

Borderlands is many things, but it’s mostly about one thing: pointing your gun at an enemy and firing  bullets at it until it dies. You do it again until there’s nobody left onscreen, then move to another area and repeat. It encourages a Diablo-like mentality, tossing you into lightning-fast gameplay loops of anticipation, action and reward. As you earn better loot from enemies and chests, level up, equip specialized grenades, shield mods and tweak your skills, the shooting spectacle gets faster and flashier. You kill more efficiently, from long-range with sniper rifles, with sprays of acid-coated SMG bullets and with thundering blasts from fire shotguns. With Borderlands 2, developer Gearbox wants to add even more ways to play.

A big part of that is an overhaul of the class system. The four classes from the original game still appear in Borderlands 2, but they’re not playable. They’re around for story reasons, but you’ll be wielding weaponry as one of four new or reimagined classes. Take Maya, the Borderlands 2 Siren, for instance. It’s a returning class, but with completely different functionality.

It’s been 5 years since we’ve seen the likes of SSX, but its great to have them back. This game releases next month March 2, 2012. Can’t wait to tear up the slopes in this over the top arcade rooted game. This latest rendition plans to match its past and add even more cool things to the mix, check out the video if you think I’m lying haha.

Really excited about this game!! It’s like a throwback to the awesome “True Crime: Streets of LA” that came out on the XBox and PS2 in 2003. If you don’t remember ”True Crime: Streets of LA” see the video below for a refresher.

In my personal opinion its the first an only game that made Grand Theft Auto III look outdated (for that point in time). I don’t know if you noticed but GTA3′s main character didn’t speak at all, contrast that with True Crime: Streets of LA who perfected trash talk, melee fight mechanics, in-car trick driving and hydrolics, topped off with sweet cars and real celebrities. Now their back with a new iteration of the franchise, renamed “Sleeping Dogs”… P.S. There’s a Sleeping Dogs Trailer touting itself as a game trailer which looks more like a movie trailer… is this a wink for an upcoming movie or an in-game non-CGI video to tell the story of the game? The season of DLC will start TODAY, January 24th for Xbox Live users with premium Elite subscriptions. This month they’ll be able to download two new maps for use in competitive multiplayer and survival mode play. “Liberation,” set in war-torn Central Park, is a vast landscape perfect for LMG and sniper rifle enthusiasts. “Piazza” is a close-range map that takes place in a sleepy Italian village.

A third piece of DLC (each of the above maps is counted separately, it seems) will be released in mid-February. The fourth and fifth will go live in March. Premium Elite members can expect at least one “content drop” a month through September. They can download these updates for no additional charge. The DLC offerings will include new Spec Ops missions and game modes.
If you’re not an Xbox 360 owner, you’ll have to wait longer for this content. For previous COD games, DLC hit the PS3 and PC on a month delay. Expect a similar timeframe here.

Players without an Elite premium subscription will receive content on a delay as well. While subscribers will get this new content in steady drips, everyone else will have to wait until Activision releases “Modern Warfare 3 Content Collections.” The first Content Collection, presumably including all five pieces of DLC mentioned above, will go on sale in March.

PROTECT-IP is a bill that has been introduced in the Senate and the House and is moving quickly through Congress. It gives the government and corporations the ability to censor the net, in the name of protecting “creativity”. The law would let the government or corporations censor entire sites– they just have to convince a judge that the site is “dedicated to copyright infringement.”

The government has already wrongly shut down sites without any recourse to the site owner. Under this bill, sharing a video with anything copyrighted in it, or what sites like Youtube and Twitter do, would be considered illegal behavior according to this bill.

According to the Congressional Budget Office, this bill would cost us $47 million tax dollars a year — that’s for a fix that won’t work, disrupts the internet, stifles innovation, shuts out diverse voices, and censors the internet. This bill is bad for creativity and does not protect your rights.
