New Feature: RSS Feeds for all searches

RSS feeds are now available for all searches, you can view the feed by clicking on the 'RSS' link. This will allow you to receive notification when any new cars are added that match your search:

We've just deployed a nice new feature to the CarList.ie homepage. CarList Spy shows what's happening on the site in real time:

Since launching in January, we have been steadily adding dealer's vehicles to carlist.ie. We now have almost 16,000 used cars for sale in Ireland from over 200 car dealers.

From today we are opening up the site to private sellers too - creating an account is simple, quick and free.

You can view the private cars for sale by selecting the 'Seller Type' option in the filter bar:

New Feature: Search for Vehicles 'Near' a County

Over the past few weeks, a number of users have asked us to improve our 'search by county' functionality. Restricting searches to a single county was too limiting, especially to those who live near county borders.

We've just added the ability to search near a county. The county drop-down has additional entries such as '[Near Wicklow]' and '[Near Sligo]' in addition to the existing counties. These new options will restrict the search to the county and its surrounding counties. For example, searching for vehicles '[Near Offaly]' will return matches from Roscommon, Westmeath, Kildare, Laois, Galway & Offaly.

Week 1: CarList.ie Growth

Since launching CarList.ie one week ago, I have been out-and-about visiting a number of dealers in Dublin. The feedback has been positive so far with more than half signing up for a free account on the spot. We are now listing 406 used cars from 12 car dealers in Dublin, last week we had 142 cars from 5 dealers.

Today we officially announce the launch of CarList.ie, our simple yet fantastic Irish used car website. We have been in test mode for the past 40 days or so and are now happy to open it up to the wider public.
