Chloe Made Money Online as a Teen and So Can You!

Important: Don’t try any of these business ideas without discussing them with your parents first.

First I want to show you an example of a teen girl who wanted to make money from the Internet -  she made some – A lot of it!. She made so much money and became so popular that news reporters started interviewing her and people started paying her money to talk a conferences.

Chloe Spencer had a dream of making money online. The only problem is she didn’t know where to start, so she asked her dad. He told her of a way of making money that would cost her nothing, and all she would have to do is write about what she loved.

That didn’t bother Chloe because she had a passion. A passion for Neo Pets.

Every so often Chloe would write on her blog any time she found something interesting to say. Without her having to do anything she would make money.

How? Have you heard of Google AdSense?

Google has a free service that lets you put ads on your blog. Any time someone clicks on those ads you make money. Even one click of those ads can make you a lot of money. Imagine what would happen if you got hundreds of them. That’s what happened to Chloe. People started clicking on those ads.

How hard is putting Google Ads on your blog? Very easy. In fact, if you use the free blogging platform at blogger.com all you have to do is put in your Google id number once and the rest is done for you.

For Chloe, making money online as a teenager was made a little easier because her father was in the business. But, there are tons of free resources on the Internet that can show you step by step what to do.

In Chloe’s case, she did spend about 10 dollars for her own domain instead of using a free one. But you won’t need to. Blogger is free and easy to use.

I have found the secret to making money online for free and I want to share it with you.

Just recently I developed a new website which promotes Amazon.Com products. I spent many days researching keywords, optimizing both the on-site and off-site SEO and now I am currently developing content for the site.

Combining what I already knew about Internet Marketing and all the fresh things I just learned, I decided that I wanted to  optimize  carlstips.com for the search engines (Based on 20 keywords and long-tail keyword phrases) and that I wanted to share all that information on this website with you.

Here is a short list of things I will do:

• Change the homepage of carlstips.com from a “recent posts page” to an optimized static page. (When I ran my website through Google Keyword Tools I realized that Google was picking up weird keywords and therefore killing my ranking in the search engines.)
• Delete any posts that are off-topic from my main goal. (I don’t want to confuse the search engines)
• Create content rich instructional posts that I can link to From the homepage (on-page SEO is very important)
• Decide which 3 long-tail keywords I want to optimize my site for and link back to my website from other sites utilizing those phrases (off-site SEO)  i.e. Obviously I am optimizing this website for Make Money Online Free. (I realize that this will be almost impossible to get to the front page of Google, but if there is even the slightest chace I’m going to take it

Finally, I am not going to use this website as a scrapbook. I am going to take it seriously and start doing things the right way. -wish me luck

Flickr Advanced Search

There is a VERY hidden section to Flickr called “Flickr Advanced Search“. I would not have known about it if I hadn’t accidentally found about it in Google.

The advanced search feature gives you the ability to search through only the photos that you can use on your websites or products that are licensed under Creative-Commons. The creative-commons license  gives you the ability to edit the photos and use any way you want.

Although a lot of the photos aren’t very high quality, there are a lot of great ones that will do just fine. I have used many of these photos as backgrounds in my product designs.

These Firefox Plugins will make doing business online much easier

Don’t underestimate the power of a great plug-in

If you’re as serious about marketing on-line as I am, then you know that every second counts. Too much time is wasted going from page to page checking stats, updating posts, backlinking, finding good keywords, checking swipe files and a whole host of tedious tasks that can be simplified with a plugin.

1. WebRank Toolbar
Every time you visit a webpage you will instantly see:

• Google Pagerank
• Alexa  Rank
• Compete Rank
• Quatcast Rank
• How many pages are indexed in (Google, Bing and Yahoo)
• How many backlinks the site is getting from (Google, Bing and Yahoo)
• and more

Each feature on the toolbar automatically links back to it’s original site, so, if you want to see all the backlinks coming from Yahoo, it’s as easy as clicking a button (This is very useful)

2.  LastPass

If you are using multiple computers and/or multiple accounts this tool will save you hours.

Lastpass saves all your usernames and passwords to a secure online account (I have been using it for years). When you visit a site, LastPass will automatically fill in your log-in information to save time.  If you have multiple accounts, it will let you easily choose between them and you can easily switch without ever having to remember a password.

If you are on another computer, all you have to do is download LastPass, log in, and it will remember all your passwords as if you were on your computer. (Don’t worry, once you log out of LastPass no user information is saved on the computer). It is very secure.

3. MultiRow Bookmarks Toolbar
This is my favorite time saver.  This tool extends your bookmarks toolbar to multiple rows. Currently, I have 70 of my most important websites organized between 3 rows. (The important trick to this is right clicking each item and changing the properties to shorten the names of each bookmark – for most of mine, I remove the name completely because I remember the icon).

4. RankChecker

This tool lets you plug in multiple websites and multiple keywords to show you which position the particular website ranks for those keywords. (This saves you from having to go to Google directly)

5. IMacros

(copied directly from the original description) Automate Firefox. Record and replay repetitious work. Before you worry about what type of business you want to start, there are a few general websites (of course free) that you need to sign up for and learn everything you can. (A lot of times these sites have videos or instructions either in the members area or that you can find on Youtube).

• Blogger (www.blogger.com)- This is going to be where your main site(s) is going to be hosted. It is free, totally user friendly, has no ads, and is perfect for running almost any type of business (at least until you have enough money for a domain).
• EzineArticles (www.ezinearticles.com) – This is the Internet’s biggest article directory. Thousands of people utilize this site to submit articles “advertising” their website. When you learn how to use this website to it’s full potential, it will bring you and your website a lot of credibility and will bring you a lot of traffic.
• Warrior Forum (www.warriorforum.com) – This is a forum for beginner – guru internet marketers. The Warrior Forum is a community of people who learn from each other and help each other grow. Almost anything that you need to know about Internet Marketing can be found here.

Later on in these tutorials I will show you how to utilize these websites to their full capacity.

Lynn Terry is where it is at….

If you are a lover of Internet Marketing as I am, then you will really appreciate Lynn Terry (clicknewz.com). She has a very honest writing style (sometimes a little too much),and always informative.

For the past few days I have been looking for a way to keep my Internet Business organized.

Many times the 2 sites have differences in their lists -While most micro-bloggers will be concentrating on the Google Trends, those who also focus on the Alexa Hot Topics will have an added advantage.

2. Alexa Hot Products

This is a great place to go to see what products people are talking about right now.  If you can write a quick product review website, place a few AdSense links or Amazon Affiliate Products and make a quick killing.  (People easily make hundreds of dollars a day by doing this)

Take a few hours to play with Alexa and see all it can do. Make sure and install the Alexa toolbar for Firefox.
