Keziah Eight month b-day!

Today is my Keziah's b-day. When her months birthday comes, we normally celebrates it with dinner. Her aunt came and brought stuff for burger and so we made burgers for dinner. He daddy brought home an ice-cream. So we really had good time eating dinner tonight.

I am excited for Friday co'z hubby and I of course with our beautiful baby Z will be heading North for our church evangelistic concert at one of our church there. Hubby will be playing with the band and so we goes. Actually hubby with the band or not I really would like to go. I saw on picture how beautiful the place is. It's on a beach and the place is very scenic.

One thing aside from being to be part of this activity... I want to bring my baby on the beach so that she could breath fresh salty air. So now.. I need to get ready and need to pack up specially my baby's needs. I haven't got the courage to do our laundry though co'z thinking of it makes me tired. I need to lift pails of water to put in the washing machine co'z we don't have a water hose. My mother-in-law actually told me that we need to buy a hose and hearing of the word hose makes me think of an industrial rubber hose, those the fireman use. I wish there is a small one I could get for my washing machine.

Well.. with the hose or none I still need to do my laundry. I wish that someday I get an automatic mashing machine that even though I do my online works I still can do the laundry.

Missing good quality coffee

I'm not a coffee expert but since I'm a coffee drinker for several years now, I could tell a good coffee from not. As I browse from site to site I come across to this article about coffee and it's maker... the "barista". Honestly, if I have given an opportunity to attend a barista training... then I would. I really would know how to do it.

Actually what makes me more interested in a barista training is because... I have this talk with my two lovely dear friends about putting up a coffee shop or a coffee bar business, plus besides, coffee has a soft space in my heart. Thinking of mixing milk with coffee and cream made me just want to get a barista degree online. I think there are step by step training to can look online, but the thing is... I want something I can do with a coach co'z an online training won't do any good with me. I'm a slow learner sometimes... and I wanna learn this barista thing seriously.

Investing for a rice plant...

We were out from our house for three days and that means I was with friends. Yeah! We were in the city for three days and was hanging out with friends and their kids. Ooh goodness... there is no more tiring than looking after 2 one...yish year old boys, a four year old girl and a seven month old baby. These was the most tiring day of my life. I actually came home last night soo tired and went to bed straight forgetting about my baby. She did not slept with us, her tita took care of her. I just found out this morning when I woke up and I did not found my baby. (scary feeling!).

My friend has told me about investing in a rice plant, for every thousand pesos you gave-you'll get a sack of rice from it. She encourages me to invest so that we'll earn maybe not that much though but still there is money coming to us in three months. I am interested about this income source but also thinking of what keep this investment not to succeed and of course all I could think is.. is there enough irrigation in the farm that would help the rice plant nourish and grow healthy so that it can produce for grain? or are they using coolant pump to get more water for the plant specially now that summer is almost here.

Anyways... I am still investing though even some not soo good things are being a threat. I'll put my trust in the Lord believing He'll make things possible for us.

Spaghetti Delight

I went to my hubby's aunt's house in Laguna-Phils last Saturday with a bunch of hubby's mom-side family. Though I have this weird feeling towards the young ones but I am grateful I have good times with the oldies. It sad to say though that there is no one my age:(. I felt like I was left alone..., but God is good and so I was okay.

I cooked spaghetti as our food share, I did not mix the sauce with noddles...and so it looked like this. It was yummy and they said it taste like greenwhich spag. I was happy when I heard the compliment of course. But honestly.. hubby is the only connection I have with those people.

Truly.. a hassle

Just got a text from friend asking me if their electricity bill from last month have arrived already. I text back telling her it did a few days ago but told her that it's just today that I got chance to tell her. While talking to her through text, her new house came to my mind and I remember the mess, the not tiled floor, the no curtain yet windows and the scratched new paint wall due to the almost not to fit huge big bed frame they have on the door. In fact we have to take off the door from the butt hinges just to bring their stuff inside. It was a challenged then for friends who helped moved to put all their stuff inside.

So thinking of all those things made me say something not quite good to her (like.. "you should have made that house ready first to move in before moving in.") It probably offended her co'z she did not text me back anymore. She probably is thinking that I questioned their decision of moving into right away. Actually it's none of my business to intervene, but as a friend, I think it's just right to voice out my thoughts co'z I see the hassle it gives her and she even feel like not liking the house, and thinking that it's your permanent house and you didn't like living in it is a horrible feeling. At least if she and her husband made it good to live in first before moving in, she might have had love it.

She's now actually asking me to visit her, but the thing is... I can't co'z because of the distance we have, I just can't go visit her without hubby taking me and my baby there :(

For those who love coins

Some people just love to collect things and spent money for it just for fun, probably because they have extra cash for it. And as for me.. if somehow I have to spend my cash for a collection I might choose to spend it on things that I know I can earn extra cash too whenever I have to let it go in the future. One thing I love to collect though is something like gold coins or something like us mint co'z I know my grandchildren would love to keep them when I go away for good from them. This is one thing they would love to have as a remembrance of their granny.

It's so funny how I called myself a granny here even though I'm still very young. :))

Three days ago hubby and I went to the site where our house is supposed to rise up. We went in hope that we'll able to see some progress or at least some house foundation or something, but to my disappointment the area was all covered with walls and I don't see anything aside from the wall. I have high hopes though that the house building thing is in progress at the inside of the wall.

I am very excited and almost can't wait what would my house look like in a "real side" co'z all I see is the model house but some people who owns some place there told us that sometimes it's not the way we expected it. So now that I know that such things happen is now praying that the Lord will intervened and give us what's best :). Hubby and I are planning and thinking what are the things we should do first when we get the house. I actually am hoping that they'll put a stainless steel sinks so that I don't have to change that anymore and just wait till the time it needed a change for new one.

But for sure we won't move until it get tiled on, painted and really ready for our move. I want my house to be a home not just a plain house.

Sunglasses collection

Mom-in-law and I were talking about her friend who would put her sunglasses on even though she'll just sweep the dry leaves on her yard early in the morning. Don't get us wrong though... the reason why she happen to tell me that because she saw my little girl trying to get mommy's sunglasses. Well, here in our place you just don't do that, I mean its just not normal seeing people sweeping yard with sunglasses unless if they're trying to make an statement with her neighbors :)

I actually has a collection of cheap sunglasses when I was single and younger. I have several of them in various colors and shapes. I just love having it on. Friends would remember me with the sunglasses on my head just like this picture of my team below.

A year ago I had promised hubby's youngest brother that I would treat him coffee at starbucks but due to conflict matters, it took me awhile before fulfilling my promise, and indeed last Sunday was the day for it. So after lunch at a friends house we decided to dropped by at starbucks-mall of asia for Igi's sake.

It's past breakfast time already and yet I haven't got any food yet. I have loads of things to do with so little time. I have to update my blog co'z I haven't done anything here for a long time due to our internet connection is cut and pldt is not doing their job yet, and what really makes me so annoyed is... they already asked for the payment and promised us that it will be done the soonest possible but it's past two weeks already and the promised service is not yet done.

So here I am not... still lying in bed front down co'z I'm updating my blog and thanks to my neighbors wifi. And while doing stuff in my computer I have also to take care of my daughter co'z Daddy is cleaning downstairs.

I just hope and pray though that our internet will be okay today.

One down, one more to go party

My Z's "dedication day (Christening day)" was finally over and yet we are planning again for another party on June (her first birthday party). We were actually contemplating of whether to pursue it or not before, but now is decided to do party since we saw that it is where relatives see each other. It's actually serves as a reunion kind of. So even though throwing big parties these days are not practical but we will pray that God will provide us provisions so that we'll be able to do it for the sake of relationships (both family and friends).

Having a do it your own party is really hard specially with the set-up and pack-up time. My feet hurts and I got really tired after Z's dedication party specially when the youth who helped us set-up went home already and "we" with my dear friends were left cleaning the dirty dishes and some other mess. If I could only hire a food server at Food Server Jobs to set the food table up and to clean it after (specially packing up the left overs) I probably would because doing this things needs skills and patience.

I thank God for He has given me friends whose passion is to do party events and helping friends does their parties :). Without "ate Raquel" my baby's party would never be that beautiful!

Food and Gifts :)

Last night was good but kinda tiring. I cooked food for the whole family (my family of three then hubby's mom and three siblings). It's good to have them at the house actually but I just can't help myself but wanting to just go to bed and forget everything. But of course I don't wanna spoil the moment so instead of resting I forced myself to to get up and excite myself by opening my baby's gift's even the clock did not hit twelve yet.

It was good opening my baby's presents, it made us all lively and made the almost quiet house alive and giggly again. How I wished though as I opened the gift that a someone had slipped a box of jansport backpacks gifts for my out of town usage specially now that my friends and I are planning to go up North to celebrate New year!

I was at the grocery store awhile ago and I was looking on in the meat section I was thinking of cooking lumpia shanghai for dinner, but the thought of the preparation made me decide to go for roasted chicken instead. But my cravings is still here with me. I'm hoping I'll have this food on or before Christmas.

Yes... I'm thinking of menus for my baby's Christening on Friday. We order food already though, but since we only order for three different dish, I now thinking of what else should I add to the menu. I have a lot of choices though but my problem is, I cannot cook all of what's in my mind because I have a baby to take care of.

I might do my all time favorite *chicken cheese roll and my hubby's recipe *pasta con ala doi. These dishes are easy to prepare.

I might also make pink leche flan for dessert. :)

I remember a friend who work in a hospital who has loads of new scrubs uniforms that's in the closet yet. The hospital gave them four sets a year reasons why she has loads. Sometimes I borrowed her scrub pants to use as a pajama whenever I do an overnight stay at their place.

These Cherokee uniforms scrubs below is the scrub I really like because it seemed fashioned to fit your body. These scrubs made me want one. How I wish I'm working on a company that requires employers to wear scrubs, I mean beautiful scrubs just like this one.

Silver and Gold Coins for Christmas Gift?

Gift list haven't started yet and I'm not sure if I can start it still. Things are really going out of control specially when it comes to finances. Things have gone way far different now... and I really need to accept this fact now that we cannot do the same thing as before... when we have no baby yet. This time our priority beyond anything else is the need of our adorable little girl. If before I can buy this and that.. or anything I find interesting but this time I have learned and yet have to learn to accept that I cannot do such.

Well if ever I have the means to buy a gift for friends I would not hesitate to buy silver coins co'z this is not a common gift you give and I know that they would treasure this and would keep it. I like this Canada coins below though co'z the country has a special spot in my heart. If I have to buy a coin for myself I definitely would get this two. :)

Home alone with my gorgeous.

Yes... I'm home alone with my gorgeous baby Z again. It's her and mommy again and again and again... I love being with her in her good moods and bad moods I'm not complaining. As my dearest mom's friends says... just enjoy... she will soon grow up and won't be a baby anymore nor again. So enjoy every moment with your baby.

So now... we both are lying together in our tiled floor but we are in opposite direction co'z she roll and roll and roll and it's so tiring if I have to come after her. So I let her go as long as I know and could see that she is not harming herself.

We both are waiting for daddy to come home. Daddy thought that we are a delight to see when he comes home... what he doesn't know we are more delighted to see him every-time :)

Staring at this awesome drum set made me think back of some situation three years ago when I was just new member of the Youth Mobilization team ( a religious organization that helps the unreached youth). I went with a co-team mates to a tribe up north, a four hours drive from the Manila. Their place was up in the mountain, a very tiny village but with beautiful people.

They have a very small old but cement church with really nothing in the altar but the presence of God probably. I don't see any musical instruments unlike in my church in Manila where we've got all that our worship team needs. But all I could see in this small church was a water jug sitting down in the corner of the altar, and when I asked the pastor what the jug for, he said that they uses it as a drum. My heart was broken and my eyes fail me co'z tears run down. All I could say during that time was a prayer that may the Lord sees their heart of the people there and hear my prayer of blessing upon those people. And lo and behold when I came back after a month a drum set was sitting in there new and shining.

I just forgot the the drum set brand co'z I was focus on the whole thing. It might be a Tama Drums or something. I don't know... co'z all I know then that the youth of the church went singing and dancing and worshiping. For sure they enjoyed playing with the band specially now that they have a keyboard and a guitar. This thing below is actually the best, love it!
