I have lost almost 40 pounds so far this year, and for the most part my joints are very happy with this weight loss. but these old bones are still getting stiff easier.

So today the Fusion went bye bye! It is much easier for both me and the misses to get in and out of our new, Audi Q3 S line Premium 45 TFSI quattro!

I went out today just to look at BMW, VW, MB and Audi SUV's and couldn't pass up the deal. Paid 29K for the Ford 4 years ago, got 19K on trade in.

I got an Infiniti Q80 from Avis to drive from Las Vegas to San Diego. It was pre-face lift version.

Pros:
-Not much, I guess flooring the pedal made some decent V8 noises.
-Guess gas mileage was ok for big SUV with big V8, seemed to get about ~18MPG. Computer was saying 21.5mpg though. 78mph with AC going

Cons:
-Big SUV with big V8 but throttle tuning was very slow for I assume fuel economy so did not feel that fast. Ok if you gave it a lot of gas.
-A lot of electric nannies going off, had to turn of the steering assist. Guess just a common new car thing.
-Had to do a lot of multi point turns to get out of parking spaces, guess a big car thing.
-tons of shudder when hitting bumps. I assume body on frame issues but do not have the same issues in 4runner.

summary:
Not sure why anyone would buy one:lol: Nissan Patrol based so in theory a good off-roader/overlander but the shuddering did not give me confidence.

I was notified that the protective fuel tank tray is too corroded and needs to be replaced to be able to carry out the recall. That is my bad and should have thought about it and done it myself ahead of time, Oh well. That was $700 and I approved it.

But the also found that "the front timing covers need to be resealed driver side cover is leaking oil and passenger side is seeping oil."

Quote: $6660.

Sure, it's a lot of money. But it is a lengthy job requiring a few special tools. Still, if it turns out that it needs attention, I can do it slowly over time. I have a nice setup to work on it.

Most ingeniously, Hyundai engineers weren’t content with a same-old, single-speed EV transmission experience. Their paddle-shifted “N e-Shift” simulates the feel and engine revs of an eight-speed, dual-clutch gearbox. There’s even a tachometer on the 12.3-inch driver’s cluster, whose needle quivers at “idle” and zips toward 8,000 rpm, synced to the torque curve of a four-cylinder engine. (Pay no mind to the electric Oz behind the curtain, with dual motors that actually spin to 21,000 rpm). Drivers will feel surprisingly natural torque interruption, re-engagement and rev-matched downshifts. Moves are almost spookily matched to rising-and-falling engine sound, including selectable pops and burbles during shifts. When I bumped into the “redline” in manual mode, I paid the old-school price, as the Hyundai banged against a simulated rev limiter. Select too high a gear, and the powertrain lugs. Expect other performance automakers to adopt some version of this system, quickly.
