&lt;p class="nomarginbottom"&gt;Caroline County Sheriff, John R. Bounds named his choice for his second in command, Detective Sergeant Joseph A. Branham of the Maryland State Police. On November 9th, 2010, while at the Caroline County Commissioners meeting, Sheriff Bounds made the announcement and introduced Joseph Branham to the leaders of Caroline County. Sheriff Bounds explained that Joseph Branham would be his "Chief Deputy" (&lt;em&gt;holding the rank of Captain&lt;/em&gt;), and would assist him in running the daily operations of the Caroline County Sheriff's Office.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/carolinesheriff/HpqD/~4/o9vAzaJoxCQ" height="1" width="1"/&gt;</description>

			<title>There is a new Sheriff in town!</title>

Bounds" /&gt;On November 2, 2010, the citizens of Caroline County had cast their ballots for the next Caroline County Sheriff. The results,&lt;strong&gt; John "Randy" Bounds&lt;/strong&gt; received 5503 votes to George Bacorns 4,195 votes. In the end, John R. Bounds received the position of Sheriff of Caroline County, Maryland.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Sheriff Bounds has been no stranger to law enforcement throughout the region. He has served as a Commander (Lieutenant) with the Maryland State Police &lt;span id="lblFullStory" class="c4"&gt;following 28 years of service.&lt;img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/carolinesheriff/HpqD/~4/xCFFLLCE0CA" height="1" width="1"/&gt;</description>
