Customer Review: Steer clear of this one!
This game falls very short in most categories:

Game play - It’s fair. You get all the realism of bracket racing with all the stats (i.e. - reaction time, 60 foot time, 1/8 mile, etc. no mph though), you can upgrade your car’s engine and tweak other settings like suspension and fuel flow, but it’s a rather generic setup.

Sound - Less than poor! There is one feedback sound (like when you select an option) for everything and it’s annoying! It sounds like it might possibly be a engine hood or car door slamming shut. Or maybe a large firecracker going off in a metal tube… The sound effects for the cars are awful. At idle the sound is just like you expect for a hot rod, but when you “hit the gas” it sounds like your going at a fast idle down the track with no shifting; it’s very lack-luster.

The music soundtrack is ok, but it’s generic. Don’t expect to hear any chart topping hits here.

Visuals and graphics - HA! Not at all up to par with what the PS2 is capable of. Can you say Super Nintendo? The cars look sort-of-but-not-really like real cars. The car I tried kind of looked like a 1970 Dodge Charger with a Camaro front end. You can customize the look of your car with some generic paint schemes. And they have some “hot” 3-d babes in skimpy outfits to help you stage at the tree - woo-hoo! (Puh-leeease!)

Control - no need for that high dollar steering wheel if you have one. All control is through a standard controller. It’s somewhat difficult to keep your car from veering across the center line or into a wall (resulting in disqualification).

In short don’t waste your money unless you can get past the sound and graphics. The bracket racing is quite fun to challenge your reaction time, etc. I’m suprised that the IHRA agreed to associate their name with this game.

Customer Review: 4.5 Stars: Inexpensive Fun, Mustang Style
I guess I should start off this review by saying I am a Ford Mustang aficionado. I own a ‘95 GT Convertible and will not rest until I have a fully restored, supercharged ‘65. I don’t know what it is about Mustangs (I love all American muscle, actually), they’re just awesome for some reason.

So, the other day, I am in my local media store, when I come across the game for a very low price. I remembered when I got Ford Racing 2 for a very low price as well, and it was okay, but just, eh. (I wrote a review for it, read that for more details) So I figured, well, it’s got lots of ’stangs, and I can race ‘em… could be fun. Bought it and went home.

I was surprised. This was/is better than expected! Lots of sweet, sexy Mustangs, great, colorful detailed cities/racing tracks (my personal favorite is Miami), and the graphics are very colorful. I also like how you can choose between an automatic tranny or a manual (stick). My real-life Mustang is a manual so you can guess which one I usually go for (it makes racing a little easier). From a base ‘65 coupe to the ‘05 GT, many awesome ponies are represented in this game.

So why do I take off half a point? Well, picture this familiar racing-game scenario: you’re far in the lead, you think you got it beat, suddenly, out of nowhere, your opponents magically overtake you. Frustrating, right? Well, this game has that faux pas too. However, I also discovered you can overtake them, as well. (Just call me the comeback kid!) That’s a small gripe, however.

Overall, if you like Mustangs, check this game out. Since Midnight Club 3 has no Fords (sadly), this can be your Mustang racing fix.

when my parents gave me need for speed most wanted black edition at 2005’s christmas,I was very excited by this new EA game. If you’re wondering what is the big difference between the original most wanted and the black edition the black edition brings unique vinyls and an extra challenge in challenge mode that’s cool! So if you want to see the difference between the original most wanted and the black edition, I would strongly suggest to buy need for speed most wanted black edition.
Trust me.

I got this game since at the time dirt was not out for the ps3 yet and it’s not a bad game, The graphics are not bad they look really good for a ps2 game & the in game play is good, If you looking for a really in depth rally game then i think this is not the game for you it’s way to simple it’s the kind of game you just put in to race and have fun with wean you don’t have a lot of time on your hands to play a real simulation game over all buy this game it’s simple and fun
Customer Review: Solid Entertaining Rally Game
WRC is the best rally game I have played. The video segments are cool. There are many rallies, 5 stages pre rally. Some rallies are tough some aren’t so, but the tracks can be a lot more realistic than in most games. In some places the track is barely wider than the car, unlike many other games. Physics are fair. Crash physics are pretty bad and can be a little frustrating when you try to save the car when on two wheels. The game does at least have a damage engine and it is adequate. Sector times can be a little funny sometimes (+8sec one sector, -8sec the next).

With those complaints said, I would have no reservations about buying the game again and again. It is a fun game and exponentially more realistic than anything else I’ve seen. Perfect, no, but still very good. Not to mention at a used price, I love it.

Customer Review: Awesome racing game
I purchased this game a while ago and it is still unbelievably fun. In fact it got much better since I unlocked everything! The best part of this game is all the shortcuts. Me and my friend even play hide-and-seek using the shortcuts. The only things it needed were traffic and nitrous oxide. Here is a list of the cars in each class:

Grip
Class C: E-Go Rocket
Class B: GTO
Class A: F100

Balance
Class C: M220
Class B: Callaway C12
Class A: S7

Drift
Class C: Pickster
Class B: CTEK K/2
Class A: Zonda C12-S

Try and get the Zonda; it can do 231 and has great handling.
The Saleen S7’s top speed is 239 but it has terrible handling.

Customer Review: Well Worth The Money
Man, I was so happy they came out with a NHRA game for PS2. It blows the IHRA games away. I enjoyed every aspect of this game! The best thing is how easy it was to figure how to play and have a chance at winning a race. That was the biggest flaw in the first IHRA game they came out with. Even though they have quite a few generic cars at least they have alot real drivers with their real cars> I recommend if your a drag racing fan and have a PS2 in your family, you should buy it, because it will give hours of enjoyment.

Customer Review: Not perfect, but it has it’s moments
About all I play are mx/sx games. This one can be a lot of fun if you’re only in it to race. I don’t do tricks so I can’t comment on them. This game has a great sensation of acceleration out of the corners. Like all mx games I don’t know why they even bother to give you brakes, just let off the gas for a second and you can turn plenty sharp enough. The career mode is pretty good. Advancement allows you to hop up the bike a bit and get a lower jersey number. You tend to over jump everything but it doesn’t matter much. Sound is pretty good, graphics fair. For some reason you can only steer with the joystick but you get used to it. Other than being a babe, I’m not sure why Jamie Little is here at all, but this game grows on you and can be had for a song. Antfreeze

Customer Review: Good-Looking, But Disposable Arcade Game
Ford Racing Off-Road for the PS2 is a simple arcade game. Certainly for us Ford SUV fans, there are vehicles to enjoy, like the 2008 Escape, the 2010 Bronco concept, and the Land Rover Defender. Being an arcade game, the racing physics are not realistic, and there don’t seem to be differences in the vehicle models except for appearance and speed. This is designed to be a pick-up arcade game, and it is fun for short periods of time. Gameplay can be enjoyed in ‘3rd person’ or ‘hood’ camera mode. But alas, there aren’t many extras. There is no race replay mode. There are no extra features on the vehicles in the game (come on, if this is a way to promote the Ford family, how about a video profile of each model, or at least interior photos, or even a ‘driver’s seat’ camera mode). Nope. This is really a 2008 coin-op game, with the ability to save and repair vehicles. At least Ford Racing 3 was a challenging mix of arcade and simulator action. This is a very lightweight title in comparison. I’ll keep it because I like the vehicles. But the lack of depth or a replay feature is disappointing.
