Desk by Arco Featured on 3rings’ Weekly Top Ten List

Many of the great pieces from lines we represent here at Casa Design are often featured on one of our favorite design sites, 3rings. In its most recent Weekly Top Ten list, 3rings grouped together ten “revolutionized” desks. 3rings describes this group of desks as “the brightest of desk design for every occupation and setting that offer the same focus to our work ethic as a sleek tabletop, but with simple additions to keep our attention day after day.”

We were happy to see a desk by on of the lines we represent at the top of the list. Arco’s Deskbox is a small, yet very functional desk that actually hangs onto a wall. It can be used as a tabletop or can be folded out as needed and paired with a chair for use with a laptop. 3rings calls describes it as “an ultra-functional Murphy bed for the working world” because of its ability to open and close with ease.

Chandlo Dressing Table Makes for a Space to “Curate & Celebrate” Clothing

Check out this cool dressing table created by London designers Doshi Levien for BD Barcelona Design that was introduced at last month’s Salone del Mobile fair in Milan.

This dressing table, which is called Chandlo, is a unique piece that was “designed to be seen from all sides and appears as though the circular mirror is merely balanced between other geometric elements, ready to roll away at any moment,” according to DeZeen.

Chandlo was originally intended to be introduced in January at imm cologne in an installation in which Doshi Levien were invited to dream up what their ideal house would look like. When asked about the dressing table and area, Doshi Levien shared with DeZeen that “This is not just a room for dressing, it is also a space to curate and celebrate clothing and other personal treasures… Central to the space is Doshi Levien’s new dressing table for BD Barcelona, which, like the house escapes the restrictive notation of what should go where…”

Eataly New York Selects Aclinea for In-Store Cooking School

Arclinea is one of our favorite product lines for a modern and stylish kitchen and we always like to see where these products are being used. We recently learned that Arclinea products were selected for the design of Eataly New York’s prestigious in-store cooking school called La Scuola.

The cooking school’s classroom seats approximately 40 guests and includes Arclinea’s Convivium Island with Nordic Oak finish, elegant door, walls of tall units with Artusi handles in stainless steel, a 180cm VINA wine storage unit, and a ceiling mounted extraction unit.

This particular project is a part of the Arclinea Design Cooking School network, others of which can be found all around the world in gourmet stores, restaurants, and even in the homes of chefs.

When cooking classes are not in session, Eataly New York’s La Scuola space will be used as a rotation regional lunch spot to be called “Pranzo.”

We’re excited to see how Arclinea products have been incorporated into this space. Perhaps we will plan a trip to Eataly New York the next time we are in the city to check it out in person.
