You’re in church listening to the message. It seems your pastor is talking directly to you! He’s saying things that connect exactly with what you’re facing. You know you’re not in the Twilight Zone, that it’s the power of God’s word. But for Elijah, a Muslim from Saudi, the first time he experienced this, it was unsettling!

Half Full or Half Empty?

I wonder if you’re the glass is half-full kind of person or the glass is half empty kind of person. It’s tough to be a half full kind of person when you read the news these days. The story of North Korea recently bombing a South Korean island comes to mind. But I’ve been reminded lately that I need to see life through the eyes of faith and keep focused on what God is doing. So let me give you some half-full kind of news: More Muslims have come to faith in Christ in the last 40 years than in the previous 1400! Case in point: West Africa.

I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of the painted cross from El Salvador. It’s one of the most beautiful, triumphant crosses I’ve ever seen. Check it out at crosscrucifix.com. If you’re like me, when you see a cross, you think of forgiveness, eternal life, a beautiful Savior. But for Muslims, they think of something entirely different.

For me it was my mom and dad’s transformation. I saw such an authentic change in them. I wanted what they had. One of the amazing ways that God is drawing Muslims is through dreams.
