				<description><![CDATA[ As we creep into September and near the end of 2008 it is all too clear what this year will be remembered for – the end of boom and the onset of bust. Reports of 0% growth and outright recession in 2009 is bleak news for all, particularly students.  No doubt we will remember the year the effects of the credit crunch took its toll on our already straining pockets with reports announcing that university students will face the most expensive academic year yet! For someone like me, who  just recently found out that the interest charged on student loans, albeit at the rate of inflation  is  charged from the very day the loan is  received,  this additional news is a double blow.  ]]></description>
