    <title>Yet Another Transformative Low-Tech Trick (Yes, Index Cards Again!)</title>

    <description>&lt;p&gt;A few weeks ago I blogged about using index cards for a pedagogical exercise known as "think-pair-share" that can transform any classroom, meeting, or other event since it not only guides attention but it creates a better, more controlled and focused situation for conversation, collaboration, and exchange, removing the awkwardness of "alpha sociality" that hinders the introverted.&amp;nbsp; Here's the url for that device--it's not just a trick but a conceptual realigning of participation in a group and contribution to the group, without needing any bandwidth, clickers, apps, or anything but ind&lt;/p&gt;

    <title>What Do HASTAC, the Beatles, and Steve Jobs Have in Common?</title>

    <description>&lt;p&gt;In this month's &lt;em&gt;Fast Company&lt;/em&gt;, some of the newly discovered "basement tapes" of Steve Jobs are discussed and quoted from (and, if you have the right app, you can even download and here Jobs literally in his own voice).&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; What he has in common with HASTAC is our method of "collaboraiton by difference."&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The reason we began as a collaboratory across the sciences, humanities, arts, and social sciences is we were all committed to the idea that, if you really want innovation, you need to design a project from the start with experts in many fields, non-experts, end-us&lt;/p&gt;
