do you ever just want to go to a forest in the morning and stay there all day? bathing in the morning light and listening to the birds sing their songs. stay as night comes forward, see the tree frame the setting sun and then let darkness set it. for the shadows to creep around the moon and to stand in the moonlight listening to the night of the forest, the occasional rusle of animals passing and hearing the shadows whisper to you. to just lie there and take in the forest, all the smells, sounds and feeling, waiting for night to turn to morning again so you can watch the sun rise.

the reason why we all ache for nature, for woods and gardens and warm sunlight, is that we feel so trapped in today’s expectations. they want us to dream big, and put us down for impossible goals. they want us to become someone and leave a legacy, yet whenever we try, we’re told it’s not enough.
then, some of us realise it’s a trap. it’s turning us into small cogs in a bigger machine, shaping us however they want. we realise this capitalist system won’t let us breathe, won’t let us be free.
so we run away to places where its grasp hasn’t reached yet. we care for small gardens, tend to our plants, we find joy in simple things, where everyone else told us to not bother looking.
we crave peace, and rest, and most of all, we want to dream without being belittled. we want that warmth, that serenity. we want to be ourselves, without apologising for it.

sometimes i just want to laugh at how absurd everything is. like, jeff bezos has enough money to literally end the war in yemen. he could literally end it. nearly any celebrity in the world has the money to fix the flint water crisis. like there is a handful of rich people who, if they just put their money where their fucking mouths were, could solve so many problems. but they dont!!! they just buy another house, or a car, or a company where they don’t pay their workers fair wages so they can get richer. it’s just!!!!!!! sometimes i want to laugh bc it’s so absurd and this is why we say eat the rich.

the whole ‘discourse sideblog’ side of this site is just wild because its just a bunch of people searching every nook and cranny on this site for someone to argue with and then after a while liveblogging an anxiety attack or the aftermath of a depressive episode after getting a lot of bad anons and then….returning to step one to start it all over again. I can’t imagine what compels this. the rush of unloading all of your anger onto someone over an absolutely benign subject that doesn’t matter in real life can’t possibly surmount the amount of stress you’re putting yourself under by constantly going online to get angry.

You should never feel bad about wanting to change or re-shape yourself into the person you want to be. Just because people have an old image of you in their minds, doesn’t mean it’s your responsibility to maintain that. Saying things like “what will they think of me?” will only place fear in your heart and paralyze you from reaching your greatest potential. You deserve to meet the highest version of youself during this lifetime. You can out grow, re-new, evolve as much as you desire. There’s so many layers to us, unravel and explore all of you.
