Sara Reynolds, a graduate student in the lab, was awarded Best AWM Poster (Association for Women in Mathematics) at the 2014 Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics meeting. Her poster was titled "Pre-copulatory Sexual Cannibalism as an Optimal Strategy in Fishing Spiders".

Joe Phillips, an undergraduate researcher in the lab, won the Best Undergraduate Oral Presentation award determined by the Student Section at the 2012 Ecological Society of America meeting in Portland, Oregon. His talk was titled "Complex responses to environmental temperature fluctuations in populations of Lemna minor".
