Have you ever been so excited to send a message to all your friends and family about saying goodbye? Most people are just not that excited about saying goodbye. Me either!

However this time it’s different because it’s not really a permanent goodbye it just depends on whether you choose to still hang out with me at the “new” house. I pray that you read this entire message to understand where we’re going.

Christians-In-Business.com and Christian Business Talk Radio as you know it, is going away for a while. My last show is up now with the fabulous Tara Burner of GodlyBusinessWomen.org, this Sister is TRULY on fire for God! Her testimony is awesome too! I encourage you to listen to the show as Tara also shares about their upcoming event, Thrive 2007 in November.

As you know, I have a strong passion for the Christian business community, I know without a shadow of doubt, it’s just a matter of time that you will begin to see what God has in store for the body of Christ in the marketplace AND on the Internet and quite frankly, I’m so glad He’s in control and not us - still that’s in HIS time, definitely not mine (smile).

I have been holding on and holding on to something that is not “seasoned” yet. With that said, CBTalk Radio is taking a long vacation. As a matter of fact, CBTalk Radio won’t probably be back until early 2009 UNLESS God says otherwise.

However, not ALL is gone. We have moved into a new house! The Christians In Business Directory has life-time listings (that were once housed at CBTalkRadio. There was no way I could take that away! Besides, it now has it’s own “focus” and will receive the attention it really deserves. Praise God.

This now allows me to be more focused on my strengths in ecommerce through my sites, Wahmcart and ShoppingCartFaq.com and as the ecommerce expert at BiblicalCoachingPodcast.com.

This [cbtalkradio] list is going away therefore I do pray that you visit me over at Christians In Business Directory and subscribe to the new list. You’ll even get the LATEST version of Christian Resources in the business community guide for fr,ee!

Since the Christians in business community is my passion, I encourage you to keep in touch because you’ll see a lot more information from me in terms of business in reports, guides, ebooks and resource news. I’m even designing my new “personal” blog that I’ll tell you about when it’s ready as well as a mini-ecourse for fr,ee!

With all the stuff going on now days, it is very important to use passwords but more importantly, a good password helps to keep hackers out!

I have tons of passwords. So how do I keep up with it all? I, like many other Internet Marketers prefer to use RoboForm because it’s so very easy to use plus it helps with identity theft. When you have an arsenal of membership site, newsletters, affiliate programs, wordpress and cpanel passwords, it’s best to use a system that remembers because it knows you won’t!

It’s so easy to lose your logins, usernames and passwords, especially when you don’t keep up with them. I have a friend who never remembers her password.

I’ve heard that some people use Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets or even something as easy as a notebook pad to log their information.

While I don’t personally think the methods below are the best methods for storing your password, it could prove worth your while to do some type of password organization.

Here are a few tips to keep track of usernames, passwords and login information:

Purchase a small notebook and keep it next to your desk so that everytime you sign up for something, go ahead an pencil in the website address, username and password.

Create a spreadsheet and save it as passwords, username or logins. You’ll want to create three columns and label them website, username and password. Tip: The great thing with microsoft excels is that once you put in the website address, it’s “clickable” (which means you just have to click on the url to get to the website.) Make sure you print out a copy to keep for backup.

You can opt to use Password Managers like I mentioned above with RoboForm. You can do a search on Goooogle for password managers but be careful when choosing the one you might want to use because some of those programs provide more information than needed and could easily be put in the wrong hands.

As you can see, there are various options for keeping records of your username and passwords. The fact is you want to choose one. It can be very frustrating when you’re in a hurry and need to login to a website and you don’t remember your information.

My last tip, make sure you update/change your passwords at least every 90 days. Use numbers as well as letters to protect others from easily figuring out what it is.

Just these few tips will help you become more organized, eliminate the possibility of indentity theft and rid the “lost password” syndrome.

As you can see, Marlo is 9 months pregnant and due any day now.

I get to tease her right now, it’s all about fun too. We have a great time talking on the phone about her pregnancy and how the baby is moving, her challenge with breathing properly, etc. But we know that this is a awesome time for her and hubby, Shaun.

Although we work hard, we take advantage of those times when we can have fun and share our family lives with one another.

Yes, she’s fat right now but don’t let her pregnancy fool you. She’s not just a Mommy, Marlo is such a smart and gifted business woman. She recently launched The Biblical Coaching Podcast as well as my partner with www.ChristianPLR.com (Christian Private Label Rights.)

Got a moment? Share a note of encouragement and support to Marlo in the comment section below, this I know will surely brighten her day! Thanks!

Take a really good look at this photo:

You can see where the man drove through the guard rail (where the people are standing on the road).

His truck traveled from there & flipped end-over-end crossing the drainage outlet and landing on the left side of it. Now look at the picture on the next page …

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.” James 1:2-7

Now I ask you, who’s your REAL Daddy?

When NO ONE else is around, He’s ALWAYS there. He is the ONLY one who will catch you before you fall! Even in the midst of uncertainity and confusion and when you think you’re alone, He’s always there to pick you up and brush you off and allows you to seek your true purpose again and again.

I looked up the word “luck” today and here’s one of the statements I read:

“Luck should not be relied upon in place of skill.”

Do you feel yourself about to fall? If so, I encourage you to:

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and HE will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Oh and by the way, get rid of the word “luck” the photos above are the realization of what’s true and real…

GRACE AND MERCY!

One of my trusted online internet marketing mentors, Alice Seba, of
www.internetmarketingsweets.com, said something in her message today that brought something back to my remembrance.

She talked about implementing continuity programs into your current business model to keep your business running smoothly without the “ups and downs” of income one month, none the next, a little the next, a lot the next, etc., etc.

If you’re really in business, I think you understand what I’m talking about. Yes, we often experience good months and then some not so good months in terms of generating income. Kind of like the stock market (smile).

Alice also brought up a really great point about implementing cost-efficient and time-saving ways to achieve this is through membership sites. She also talked about how membership sites are not limited to Internet Marketing sites but other niches as well.

Like, coaching, consulting, software, products, direct sales, etc.

The thing I’ve learned the most about membership sites is that you definitely have to know what you’re doing! If not, uh-oh… (been there done that ~ smile) but one thing that most of you know about me, is that I truly believe in solutions. I’m a solution oriented individual. I ALWAYS seek ways to DO BETTER.

With that said, I’d like to invite you to find out with me, how you can create a plan for a continuous flow of income in your current business model. You can TONIGHT, 9/24!

You’ll learn how to get your own membership site started in layman’s (easy to understand) terms.

I know it’s short notice but here’s the best part. It only cost $1, and if you can’t attend live, the audio will be available and sent to you!

http://snipurl.com/onedollarseminar

So make sure you invest $1 in yourself today.

See you there!

I pray all is well with your day. I know we haven’t talked “word” lately so I thought I would literally stop what I’m doing to share some impartation with you.

Sound good to you? Great!

I’m in the middle of writing a book. Yeah, I’m taking the big writer’s leap (smile). While I never thought I would write a book, the urgings have been there for a while.

Writing a book is such a huge project and definitely one that requires consistent focus. You know, focusing actually works. But it takes determination to succeed.

It’s like studying the word. In order to receive revelation knowledge, you have to desire to spend “focused” time in the word. Whether it be reading or hearing the word, both work quite well.

I personally like when the Holy Spirit brings scripture back to my remembrance, then I get online at www.biblegateway.com and do a search to find that exact scripture. I also love listening to the word. It’s like hearing the speaker begin to say a scripture and it comes out of me before they even get to finish. Ooooh, I love that!

Best of all, I love my talks with God. Often times I do more talking than He does (smile) but that’s okay. I know He’s listening, amen?

This brings me back to my reason for wring this book. I was a guest on my friend, Bettye Jamerson’s World Talk Radio Show recently (www.bettyejamerson.com). As always, we had such a wonderful time so after the show, I was compelled or should I say “nudged” by Holy Spirit to write.

Now I don’t know if this happens for you but when I receive impartation like that, it flows! I begin to type and I don’t stop until “He” does. Typo and grammar errors are left just like they are until I’m finished.

Bettye’s show just moved me so much that I know God had a message for me… not only for me but to share as well. So, if you don’t mind, I’ll share a teeny bit with you about some of what will be in the book.

What Does Being a Christian, Really Mean to You?

I’m quite sure you know what it means to you, and in case you don’t, I’ll share what it means to me. Then perhaps you’ll sit down with God and talk about what it means to you, sound fair?

Did you know that the Disciples were first called Christians at Antioch? (ref: Acts 11:25 NIV)

Interesting, eh? You bet it is. You see, it wasn’t a multitude of people that were first recognized as Christians, it was the Disciples. And why do you think they were referred to as Christians?

Here’s what the dictionary refers to as a Christian.

1. Professing belief in Jesus as Christ or following the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
2. Relating to or derived from Jesus or Jesus’s teachings.
3. Manifesting the qualities or spirit of Jesus; Christlike.
4. Relating to or characteristic of Christianity or its adherents.
5. Showing a loving concern for others; humane.

And:

1. One who professes belief in Jesus as Christ or follows the religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus.
2. One who lives according to the teachings of Jesus.

All of this makes perfect sense to me because those were some of the qualities that the Disciples possessed (well except the bad apple one we all know about – Judas.)

I’ll prove it, read this:

Jesus said: “So then, any of you who does not forsake (renounce, surrender claim to, give up, say good-bye to) all that he has cannot be My disciple.” Luke 14:33 (Amplified)

The disciples gave it all up, amen? Now I know some of you are thinking, “I got to give up my house? My car? My shoes? My cable tv, to be a disciple?”

Uh…no! That’s not what the scripture means. However, if it were, could and would you do it?

As a disciple, you have to get rid of YOU! Your self made philosophies, excuses and justifications. When you desire to be a true disciple, to do the things God desires, you must have a desire to surrender (let go of) everything that is not of Him. And get ready for this, some people are not going to like you. It’s like a clash of the spirits. They run from the truth and we all know, the truth hurts sometimes.

For example and to just to keep this message as short as possible, I’ll give you two things to meditate on: What’s your attitude like every morning? Is your spirit “Christ like?”

Therefore by the end of the day, what about you made someone say… “She/He has such a beautiful spirit” or “She/He has such a nasty attitude and is so negative!”

Something to think about, eh?

Believe it or not, Christianity is not confined to a church building. It’s not just about you being a Usher, member of the Choir, a Deacon, etc. on Sundays. It’s your ENTIRE life-style. Which brings me to this:

What about your business is Christ like?

Do you study to show yourself approved, rightly dividing the word of truth? (ref: 2 Timothy 2:15)

How does God feel about you as a business person? Have you asked Him?

Makes you shiver doesn’t it? No? Then you have some serious praying ahead of you.

I pray that something about today’s message helps you or confirms something you may have recently prayed about. If not, please pass this along to someone who might have been praying for an answer.

We’ll talk again soon.

“Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.” Prov 13:3

Until next time, remember to pray without ceasing, speak with much love and patience and glorify God in ALL that you do and in all your GETTING, Get Understanding.

Blessings for continued success!

I had to giggle this morning as I began to read my emails.

All the Internet Marketer’s are scrambling to pass out their referral links on John Reese’s just released BlogRush project. Who’s John Reese? He’s the mastermind behind the infamous website, Income.com

I for one love being connected to what’s happening in cyberworld so I knew John and his team were preparing to release BlogRush very soon! The early bird ALWAYS catches the worm… remember that and you might just make some cash doing so

So what in the (Internet) world is blogoshere or blogrush?

Simply put, it’s blog syndication.

In general, syndication means the distribution a news article through a syndicate - is all about distributing content - or in this case blogs being distributed on other blogs. Or look at it this way, for the supplying of information or content for simultaneous publication on several blogs.

Cool eh?

BlogRush is a FREE service. You start by creating an account and placing a small piece of code on your blog. You can see mine to the right of the screen.

Or better yet, John explained it wayyyy better than I ever could, here’s what he said:

Each blog in our network gets set to a specific category that defines its content. The real power of the service is how it helps blogs generate more traffic…

Each time the widget gets loaded on any page of someone’s blog, they’ll have one of their latest blog post titles and a link served inside the widget on another related blog. But it goes wayyy beyond that…

See the “Add Your Blog Posts - FREE” area at the bottom of the widget? And the BlogRush tab? Well, if anyone clicks on either of those areas they will be taken to the BlogRush web site where they can learn about the free service and start hosting the widget on their site. BUT that’s not free advertising for BlogRush. Those links serve a powerful purpose…

When someone joins BlogRush, our system knows exactly WHERE they came from. The originating blog gets permanently marked in our system as the “referrer” for that new blog. And as you may have already guessed, the original blog now earns additional “syndication credit” on all the traffic that the referring blog produces — every single day. But it doesn’t stop there. If that new blog refers another user, that original blog then earns credits based on THAT new user as well. It continues through 10 “generations” of referrals with no limit to the number of blogs and/or traffic that can be produced by any level.

This ‘process’ provides incredible LEVERAGE. You can have a blog that gets just 1 visitor a week, but if that next visitor happens to be someone with a blog that gets 25,000 visits a day, and they click your widget and sign up, you’ll start having your blog posts promoted over 25,000 TIMES A DAY. And that doesn’t even count all the potential “viral growth” that can then occur from that blog referring other blogs. It’s very, very powerful.

Now, I don’t know about you but this is a NO BRAINER. Want some Blog traffic? It costs you absolutely nothing but you have the potential of gaining a lot of free traffic!

Don’t sit this one out, you’ll be so frustrated that you did.

Ready to become a member of the “Blogoshere?” Sure you are, get your Blogrush widget right here!

Blessings,

I know we just talked a couple of days ago but I just had to share this information with you.

You know how I just dream of the Christian Business Community coming together right? I just have this HUGE passion to fulfill the purpose God has given me so I work hard at it daily!

But at the same time I know there’s a process to everything so I take it all in stride because I know that God is faithful to produce according to HIS will, amen?

In the meantime, I opened a Membership for Women this past February. It’s called the Business by Grace Membership, a spin-off from the network that was on Ryze with over 1500 registered members.

Well, not all 1500 members came over, to be exact, only 50 of them registered. Yeah, I know I dropped the ball somewhere, just not sure where, LOL! However, I don’t mind admitting that I didn’t know how to effectively bring this membership into constant activity and fellowship.

When this type of thing happens, I automatically feel like a failure BUT… I also immediately bounce back! <grin> Because God knows I desire to please Him and sometimes I can get in the way of things. But He ALWAYS provides a way out or should I say a method for me to study to do better <huge grin>.

With that said, I’m excited that my friends Kelly and Lynette are holding a teleseminar about membership sites! Cool, eh?

They are holding a “One Dollar Seminar”, where they will be sharing ideas for membership sites and answering basic start up and management questions.

http://snipurl.com/onedollarseminar

NOTE: If you’re not already convinced that you should make a membership site part of your overall marketing plan, you could get fresh vision for one during the seminar.

Now, I can effectively learn and see my mistakes or what I didn’t know to do!

You see, there’s a blessing in knowing that sometimes, “you don’t know what you don’t know,” amen? When I finally realize that I need help in an area, I go for it! What about you?

Maybe this One Dollar Seminar is not for you, but what if it provides just a little tiny bit of information you need to get you to the next level in your business? You won’t know unless you’re there and besides, membership sites are very popular right now, maybe your niche could stand to have you form a membership site just for them <wink>.

http://snipurl.com/onedollarseminar

Thanks for allowing me to share my membership site experience and how now I know I’ll get a better grip on how to run it better for everyone involved!

Uninterrupted Time by Regina Baker

“What I wouldn’t give for a day of uninterrupted time to focus on my business!”

“Scratch that – make it an afternoon. Two or three hours. For that I’d give up my next birthday cake.”

These are the exact comments heard recently from moms who are working to build a business from home while still taking care of the kids, the house, the pets, friends, family and their marriage. Finding uninterrupted time for anything can be a big challenge. Add a work at home business into the mix and you’re asking for the impossible.

Not true! It is entirely possible to find time to focus on your business without interruption. It will require some creativity on your part and certainly some sacrifice, but don’t worry – you can still enjoy next year’s birthday cake.

Start with the basics. Getting up a couple of hours before the kids will certainly net you some quiet time. You may have to break a sleeping in habit but it will be worth it in the long run. Unless you’re single, don’t choose the staying up late option as that will cut into your time with hubby.

Negotiate with your spouse for a certain amount of ‘business time’ each week to take place when he is home. Don’t overdo it – leave space for ‘couple time’ and ‘family time’. Perhaps he’ll agree to prepare dinner twice a week to give you an extra hour in the home office on those days. If he would take on the weekly grocery shopping and take the kid with him – you’d grab an extra two hours that way as well.

Sometimes the issue isn’t so much that you can’t work uninterrupted, it’s a matter of being distracted by the hubbub of family life going on around you. If you can’t work in a separate area you can still create a sense of isolation. First, put up a sign on your desk that says ‘Mommy is Working Now – Do Not Disturb’. Second, put on headphones and turn on music that suits your mood and project. Crank up the volume until it drowns out the house around you.

Set a timer for a specific period of time and let the family know that you’re going into your ‘zone’ for 30 minutes, an hour, two hours – whatever will work – and that you’ll poke your head up when the timer goes off to see if anybody needs anything. Then you can set it again as needed.

If none of this works – you may need to grab your laptop (if you have one) and head to the library, park or coffee shop.

When you truly focus during the hours that you do work, you’ll notice that you don’t need nearly so many hours as you might have thought. So rather than trying to steal a minute here and there – find those laser targeted hours and give it your all, then get back to enjoying your family.

I highly recommend “The Power of a Focused Business” as a how to resource for learning the power of focused. For additional details, visit: aFocusedBusiness.com
