Chase Infiniti and Tyriq Withers Confirmed Dating After Months of Rumors: “She’s in a Really Good Place”

Hollywood’s newest “it” couple is official. Chase Infiniti and Tyriq Withers are dating, and honestly, we saw this coming.

After months of speculation, a source close to the 26-year-old One Battle After Another actress confirmed the news to People on Friday (May 15, 2026). “Chase is having fun and dating,” the insider said. “She’s in a really good place and enjoying herself like any young woman.”

The confirmation dropped just one day after DeuxMoi posted photos of Chase and the 27-year-old Reminders of Him actor on a low-key dinner date at Mamo restaurant in New York City.

The two have been showing up together everywhere lately. They were photographed at Audi’s F1 team garage at the Miami Grand Prix on May 2, then spotted again two days later at GQ’s post-Met Gala party. Withers also showed his support when he attended the March 31 premiere of Infiniti’s Hulu series The Testaments.

Give a lot of credit to Kerry Washington for this one. She posted a selfie to Instagram with both Withers and Infiniti at the NAACP Image Awards back on February 28, which only poured more fuel on the rumor fire.

When Infiniti was asked about the online shipping at the 2026 Oscars red carpet, she played it cool. “So? The internet is the internet. I don’t know,” she laughed. “I feel like Kerry Washington has kind of pulled the two of us together in a lot of this. So we’ve just been seeing each other so frequently, and then also with Miles [Caton, from Sinners] as well.”

Withers, for his part, wasn’t exactly giving single-guy energy either. In a Cosmopolitan interview published in March, he admitted, “I haven’t really dated post-fame,” while also describing himself as “very much intimately single,” but “such a relationship-oriented person.”

Well, that changed fast. The shippers won this round.

John Travolta walked the Cannes red carpet on Friday (May 15, 2026) and left fans doing a full double-take.

The 72-year-old Saturday Night Fever star stepped out at the May 15 screening, sporting circular eyeglasses and a white beret, paired with a black three-piece suit, white collared shirt, white tie, and coordinating pocket square, topped off with black patent-leather loafers. Somebody call the gendarmerie, because the man is fully committed to the bit.

His bold new look sparked immediate social media frenzy, with one fan writing, “WHO is that and what have they done with John Travolta?!” Another admitted, “I had to Zoom in to verify it is indeed him.”

Travolta’s daughter, Ella Bleu, 26, was by his side for the occasion, his first appearance at the prestigious festival since 2018.

The makeover wasn’t the only jaw-dropping moment of the night. Travolta was awarded an honorary Palme d’Or for his directorial debut, Propeller One-Way Night Coach, one of Cannes’ highest honors recognizing major contributions to cinema.

The actor got emotional accepting the prize. “This is beyond the Oscars,” he said, adding, “I can’t believe this.”

The film centers around a young airplane enthusiast traveling to Hollywood with his mother. Travolta described it as deeply personal. “It’s really a mixture of my sister and my mother because they both influenced me so deeply, and they were responsible for all my hopes and dreams, and they watched me make them come true,” he shared.

He bent it, he branded it, and now he’s banked it. Sir David Beckham has officially made history as Britain’s first billionaire sportsman, according to the newly released 2026 Sunday Times Rich List, and the numbers are nothing short of staggering.

The former England captain and his wife, Lady Victoria Beckham, now boast a combined fortune of £1.185 billion, a remarkable leap from the £500 million estimated just a year ago on the 2025 list. In short, the Beckhams doubled their wealth in twelve months.

Beckham’s financial ascent has been bolstered by his role at Inter Miami, which is currently valued at $1.45 billion, making it the most valuable club in Major League Soccer. That is not a coincidence, and Beckham has never been shy about the vision behind it.

When Lionel Messi signed with the club, a beaming Beckham declared, “Ten years ago, when I started my journey to build a new team in Miami, I said that I dreamt of bringing the greatest players in the world to this amazing city.” He added, “Today that dream came true.”

Victoria has been equally vocal about her husband’s grind. When Messi’s deal was sealed, she took to Instagram to say, “I don’t have enough words to express how proud I am of David Beckham. I have watched you work so hard to make this moment a reality and it’s finally here!!”

The billionaire milestone was not built on football nostalgia alone. The major uptick in wealth is attributed to Beckham’s investments in the US, as the signing of Lionel Messi to Inter Miami until 2028 has lifted the value of his stake in the club, and a vast property development adjoining Inter’s home has provided another windfall. Meanwhile, revenues at Lady Beckham’s eponymous fashion line topped £100 million.

It was a prophecy that skeptics once laughed off. As one insider put it back when Beckham first purchased the club: “Everyone laughed when David said he was buying a football club. But he’s showing that it’s becoming a success, and it’s only going to get bigger as more top players join.”

The collective wealth of the Beckhams placed them second in the Sunday Times‘ list of wealthiest sportspeople, behind the family of ex-Formula One chief executive Bernie Ecclestone, whose wealth was placed at £2 billion.

Beckham is not the only sports figure making a splash in the UK billionaire club. Beckham is joined in the billionaire bracket by sports promoters Barry and Eddie Hearn, whose combined Matchroom Sport empire is valued at £1.035 billion.

The wider Rich List paints a competitive picture among British sports royalty. The list also highlights the growing wealth of active British athletes, with heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua ranked eighth with a £240 million fortune, ahead of rival Tyson Fury at £162 million. Other notable figures include Sir Lewis Hamilton in fifth place at £435 million.

The number of billionaires recorded by the list increased to 157 for the year, nudging up from 156 a year ago after a recent period of decline. The Beckhams are the most glamorous additions to that exclusive club.

The milestone arrives against a complicated personal backdrop. The revelation comes amid the couple’s feud with their oldest son, Brooklyn, who accused his parents of “trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding, and it hasn’t stopped” in a lengthy social media post in January. Business, it seems, has been very good even as family matters have grown thorny.

What Beckham has built, from a $25 million contract option on a Miami soccer franchise to a billion-pound empire, is one of the most remarkable second-act stories in sports history. The boy from Leytonstone who once wore a sarong and made the back page of every UK tabloid has now made a very different kind of headline.

Drake’s Triple Album Surprise Could Make History on the Billboard 200 With “Iceman,” “Habibti,” and “Maid of Honour”

Nobody told Drake to take it easy.

The Toronto rapper didn’t just drop one long-awaited comeback album Friday night. He dropped three. At the same time. Because apparently that’s just how Drizzy does things now.

Drake released his highly anticipated new album, Iceman, at midnight ET, along with two surprise records, Maid of Honour and Habibti, sending the internet into a full-on meltdown and crashing streaming platforms almost instantly.

Together, the package makes up a gargantuan 43 songs, and the trilogy includes features from Future, 21 Savage, Molly Santana, Stunna Sandy, Sexyy Red, Central Cee, Popcaan, Iconic Savvy, Loe Shimmy and PARTYNEXTDOOR.

Yeah, he went all in.

At the end of the Iceman livestream, Drake pulled out three hard drives, and text on the screen revealed: “I made this so that I could make this.” Two more album titles then flashed on screen, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Iceman boasts 18 tracks and features 21 Savage, Molly Santana and a reunion with Drake’s “What a Time to Be Alive” collaborator Future. Maid of Honour contains 14 songs and collaborations with Stunna Sandy, Central Cee, Sexyy Red, Iconic Savvy and Popcaan. Habibti has 11 new songs and lifts from Sexyy Red once again, Loe Shimmy and Partynextdoor.

The rollout for all of this has been nothing short of theatrical. In late April, Drake revealed the release date for “Iceman” by setting up blocks of ice in Toronto as a promotional vehicle for the record. Inside the ice was a bag that contained the release date, which was discovered by a streamer named Kishka who retrieved the bag and headed to Drake’s house, where he opened the contents to reveal the date. Only Drake.

Drake’s ninth, 10th and 11th studio albums serve as his first since clashing with Kendrick Lamar in 2024. And that beef is clearly still on his mind.

Lines like “Your baby momma ain’t even post a single, damn, where she at?” re-hash the claims made in Drake’s string of diss tracks from 2024. He also appears to claim that members of Kendrick’s team attempted to bury the hatchet. “You saw my brother, you was tryna fix it, now you drop your album and you back dissing,” Drake raps.

The stakes here couldn’t be higher. If Iceman or any of the other pair of albums top the Billboard 200, that will give Drake a record 15 No. 1s, which would break a tie with Jay-Z when it comes to rappers. Drizzy also has the opportunity to occupy the top three of the Billboard 200 next week, which has only been done in the past by Michael Jackson. He would be the first to hold all three slots with debuts simultaneously.

For those who abandoned their allegiance to Drake after “Not Like Us,” Iceman, Habibti and Maid of Honour are his opportunity to win them back. For those that stayed loyal, they’re a moment to prove to others that the 6 God always had the chops to return to the top.

It’s also worth noting how differently Drake is operating these days. The rapper has made the world of streamers and content creators more central to his output, offering his only public appearances since the beef on platforms like XQC’s and Adin Ross’. Drake is also an investor in Stake, which owns the popular streaming site Kick, where Adin and XQC both stream.

The release follows a turbulent stretch that included a high-profile feud with Kendrick Lamar and a number of lawsuits. Drake’s 2025 lawsuit against Universal Music Group, claiming the label pushed Lamar’s defamatory song, was dismissed by the court, but not before UMG said in a legal filing that Drake had “lost a rap battle that he provoked” and sued “in a misguided attempt to salve his wounds.”

Rough times. But Drake isn’t hiding from any of it.

For everyone else, the apathetic majority, Drake’s return could mean something more: that the rapper still has the power to summon even a fraction of the cultural relevance from his golden years.

All three albums, Iceman, Maid of Honour and Habibti, are streaming now on Spotify, Apple Music and everywhere else. Good luck getting through all 43 tracks before Monday.

Leave it to Pedro Pascal to walk onto a late-night set and immediately cause a five-alarm thirst emergency.

During the May 12 episode of The Late Show, The Last of Us star was introduced to promote his upcoming film, The Mandalorian & Grogu — but he made it immediately clear there was something else he wanted to do first. Pascal sat down, cheekily pouted his lips, then patted them with his fingers to suggest he wanted a kiss.

Subtle? Not exactly. Effective? Absolutely.

Pascal raised his eyebrows and continued pointing at his lips as Colbert tried to get on with the interview. “Glad to have you back. People may not know this…” Colbert said. Pascal refused to engage in the conversation and kept prompting for a smooch. Colbert stopped mid-sentence, leaned in, and kissed the actor on the lips.

“I got jealous!” Pascal exclaimed, as the audience roared. Colbert, seemingly unfazed, quickly replied, “What? No need — anytime.”

And just like that, the internet ceased to function normally.

The backstory? Moments before locking lips with Pascal, Colbert had shared a playful kiss with Julia Louis-Dreyfus during her segment. When Louis-Dreyfus prompted the addition of her name to Colbert’s kiss list, she whispered, “No one’s watching. It’s just between us.” The two locked lips, prompting Colbert to say, “Well, the interview is going great so far. Why don’t we do another take?”

Pascal, apparently watching from the green room with a growing case of FOMO, was not about to be left out.

The late-night host unofficially kicked off the kiss trend a day earlier when he smooched Jimmy Fallon on the May 11 episode, later joking about his growing list of famous on-set smooches. Colbert rattled off the names of famous people he has kissed on The Late Show, including Sally Field, Helen Mirren, Alison Janney, Jeff Daniels, and Andrew Garfield.

Colbert even tossed out a cheeky farewell, saying, “These lips will soon be free.” Which, given the show’s impending end, tracks perfectly.

The viral moments arrive as The Late Show nears its final bow. Colbert previously announced the series will conclude following CBS’ decision to cancel the show, with its final episode scheduled to air on May 21. The clip spread like wildfire, and fans had thoughts.

One commenter said on Instagram: “Ooof! I love how it is becoming more and more common in general culture to see affection between men. Such a basic baseline. This. Isn’t. Weird.” Another joked: “‘I got jealous’… I’m jealous!” And someone else gushed: “I love this so much. Gosh, if Pedro looked at me like that I would die. He’s so cute.” Not everyone was cheering, though.

A fourth wrote, “Colbert is having so much fun kissing the fine men on this show. First it was Andrew Garfield, now Daddy Pedro.” Meanwhile, some took issue with the kiss. “Lol ewww… Stephen being married,” wrote one person on X. Another asked: “Isn’t Stephen married?”

One fan on X begged, “ouuu do it again pedro,” while another was decidedly less amused: “Seriously? two grandpa doing this shit in a live interview… what is the world turning… no shame no decency anymore.”

Grandpas, you say? Pedro Pascal, 51, would like a word.

To make the moment even more endearing, Pascal later hopped onto Instagram to wish Colbert a happy birthday, proving the flirtatious late-night chaos apparently did not end when the cameras stopped rolling.

As for what brought Pascal to the Colbert couch in the first place, The Mandalorian & Grogu premieres in theaters on May 22. Safe to say the promo tour is off to a very memorable start.

Pascal is also currently filming De Noche, his first gay romance movie, where he plays a detective opposite Danny Ramirez as a boarding school teacher. Written by Todd Haynes and Jon Raymond, the plot sees the characters have an unexpected love affair as they’re targeted by the corrupt political machine of Los Angeles, then forced to flee to Mexico.

At this rate, Pedro Pascal could sneeze on live television and trend for 72 hours. And honestly? We’d click every time.

If you had any lingering doubts that Spencer Pratt wasn’t approaching the LA mayor race with the gravitas of, say, an actual politician, allow this to erase them entirely: the Hills villain-turned-mayoral-candidate has quietly inked a deal to film a reality TV show — one that would roll cameras straight into the mayor’s office if he wins.

Per TMZ, which broke the exclusive, Pratt signed a contract with a Los Angeles production company to document his entire political journey. That means Heidi Montag, the kids, the campaign trail — all of it is being captured for your future streaming pleasure.

And the kicker? The contract specifically provides that the show would go on — even if Spencer gets sworn into office.

Let that sink in. The man wants to run the second-largest city in America and has already arranged for a camera crew to follow him around while he does it.

Sources with direct knowledge told TMZ that Pratt inked a deal with a Los Angeles production company to roll cameras as he runs for mayor, with the production team filming Spencer, his wife Heidi Montag, and their kids throughout his political journey.

To be fair — and we’re being generous here — sources say Spencer and the production company have not put the cart before the horse, and as of now everyone is focusing on the campaign without yet discussing details on how filming would continue if he wins. But the ink is dry. The deal is done.

This is, of course, the same man who was recently caught telling his campaign ads one story while living a very different one. Pratt had a video filmed, in part, outside the homes of other candidates, and in one ad he is standing on his lot in front of his Airstream saying, “This is where I live.” Days later, it was reported by TMZ that he was residing at the Hotel Bel-Air while his family was based in Santa Barbara.

When confronted, he joined TMZ Live and clarified that he doesn’t really live anywhere — because the Pacific Palisades fire left him homeless. It’s a genuine tragedy, of course. But it also might be the first campaign ad ever fact-checked by a tabloid.

Originally greeted with bemusement, Pratt is now upending the race with early voting underway ahead of the June 2 election, riding a wave of buzz fueled by viral videos taking aim at incumbent Mayor Karen Bass, Gov. Gavin Newsom, and others.

A new Emerson College poll shows Pratt gaining 12 points in the Los Angeles mayoral race, narrowing the gap with incumbent Karen Bass. So the buzz is real — but so is the scrutiny.

Even current Mayor Karen Bass has weighed in. Bass accused Pratt’s AI-generated advertisements of “taking on a violent trend” in depicting the city as a crime-ridden dystopia, with the ads showing Pratt as a Batman-style vigilante fighting masked criminals.

Meanwhile, Pratt’s own sister isn’t exactly handing out yard signs. In February 2026, his sister alleged Pratt assaulted her when she was 18 and urged voters not to support his campaign, saying, “LA does not need another unqualified and inexperienced mayor.”

Pratt points to a 2013 political science degree from the University of Southern California as evidence of his readiness to lead a massive city. His campaign did not respond to interview requests — though, to be fair, they may have been busy setting up camera angles.

Voted the “Greatest Reality TV Villain” in 2015, Pratt isn’t afraid to leverage his polarizing image and position himself as the dark horse in this race. And leveraging it he is — all the way to a production deal.

Whether Los Angeles voters want their city hall turned into a set is, ultimately, the only question that matters. The June 2 primary will tell us if the city is ready for its close-up.

Britney Spears enjoyed a night out at Blue Dog Tavern in Sherman Oaks Wednesday night for what should have been a low-key dinner with friends. Instead, things went sideways fast, with witnesses describing a scene that was equal parts alarming and heartbreaking.

According to TMZ, which first reported the incident, Spears grabbed a corner table alongside a man and a woman and wasted little time before causing a stir. Sources told the outlet she was “raising her voice, screaming, and even barking at times,” with one witness describing the overall vibe as chaotic and “kind of sad” — while still noting she “looked cute.”

The most jarring moment came when the 44-year-old pop star was spotted walking through the dining room — knife in hand.

A restaurant patron told TMZ that Spears strolled past their table holding a knife, “sparking fear she might accidentally stab someone.” The witness added they believed Spears had “simply forgotten to put it down at her table.”

Spears also reportedly lit a cigarette inside the restaurant near the door, prompting staff to intervene and ask her companion to have her extinguish it. As for the meal itself, she ordered a burger and fries — but barely touched the food, mostly just picking at the fries.

All that said, A rep for Britney tells TMZ is refuting the claims. “This is completely blown out of proportion. Britney was enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard. She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbors.”

They continued, “At no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife. She was cutting her hamburger in half. This constant attack on everything that she does and this is exactly what happened 20 years ago when the media tried to depict Britney as a bad person. This is ridiculous and it needs to stop now.”

The timing is particularly concerning given what Spears has been navigating legally and medically. Less than two weeks ago, her March DUI charge was dropped after she reached a plea agreement with prosecutors, where the charge was reduced to a “wet reckless.”

Spears pleaded guilty through her attorney, Michael Goldstein, who told TMZ: “Through her plea today, Britney has accepted responsibility for her conduct. She has taken significant steps to implement positive change which is clearly reflected in the Ventura County District Attorney’s decision to reduce the charge.”

Under the terms of the agreement, Spears was sentenced to 12 months’ probation, one day in jail credited as time served, and ordered to enroll in a three-month alcohol and drug education program. She is also required to meet with a psychologist once a week and a psychiatrist twice a month — and is prohibited from possessing drugs outside of a valid prescription.

The arrest itself stemmed from a March incident in Ventura County. Spears subsequently sought treatment at Borden Cottage, an exclusive rehabilitation center located in Camden, Maine — a small seaside town known for its privacy and picturesque scenery.

The “super private center sits on a 14-acre estate and offers high-end, individualized treatment,” according to TMZ, blending clinical therapy with holistic options like meditation and art therapy, alongside private suites and chef-prepared meals. A minimum 45-day stay can cost up to $140,000 — yet Spears left after less than three weeks.

Those close to the singer reportedly remain hopeful that her recent rehab stay, counseling, and ongoing treatment requirements could mark the beginning of a healthier chapter for the pop icon. But Wednesday night’s scene at the LA restaurant isn’t exactly the fresh start anyone was hoping to see.

For a woman under court-ordered psychiatric supervision, publicly wandering through a dining room with a knife — however innocent the explanation — raises legitimate questions about how she’s truly doing.

Say hello to actor Emrhys Cooper. Emrhys, the actor, is also very much into running, having just run the London Marathon (his fourth marathon in two years), and will be competing in an Ironman later this year in Portugal.

How is he training for the Iron Man? He told Queerty, “I [cycle] 2-3 times per week. I’m swimming 2-3 times per week, sometimes open water swimming in the sea, which is 10 minutes away from me in the Hastings area. Then I am running 3-4 times per week. Basically, it’s full on. Then I’m doing weight training. The swimming is not great and I hate the cold water, but I’m getting used to it. Then you feel great afterwards, you’re buzzing. You get the natural high!”

Brian Hickerson is not running from his past — at least, not entirely.

The ex-boyfriend of actress Hayden Panettiere is speaking out following the release of her memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, in which the 36-year-old opened up about her experience in an on-and-off abusive relationship with Hickerson over several years.

In interviews released ahead of the memoir’s launch, Hickerson sat down with TMZ’s Charlie Neff and admitted it was difficult reading about his past behavior — but said he believes those stories are important for others to see.

“I got arrested for abusing her,” Hickerson said plainly. “I wouldn’t blame her friends for being pissed off at me. So I don’t really have much to say on that.”

The two dated on and off from 2018 to 2022, during which Hickerson was arrested multiple times for domestic abuse. In 2021, he was sentenced to 45 days in jail and four years of probation and ordered to stay away from Panettiere for five years.

Among the most striking moments of the TMZ interview was Hickerson’s admission regarding a specific passage in the memoir — one he had personally asked Panettiere to remove.

According to Hickerson, the passage details a drunken incident in which he allegedly threatened to throw a phone at Panettiere. He recalled the moment, saying he told her, “I’ll give you 10 seconds to run as fast as you can before I throw it at you.”

He confessed, “Who wants to read something about themselves like that?” — before adding without hesitation, “I did it.”

Even so, Hickerson said the vulnerability was warranted. “But you gotta be vulnerable and I did it,” he added.

Rather than distancing himself from the book’s damning accounts, Hickerson surprisingly encouraged others — particularly abusers — to read it.

“My biggest thing about domestic violence is I don’t think it is taught early enough in life. Never in my life did I ever get taught what domestic violence was, right? Maybe if I did at an early age, maybe I wouldn’t have done what I did. We don’t know,” he said.

He also noted that Panettiere publicly revealing what transpired in their relationship is “more important for abusers” to read.

In a striking moment of self-awareness, Hickerson suggested the memoir could end up serving as a warning manual for the very kind of person he once became.

Still, Hickerson was not without his deflections. He defended himself to TMZ, saying, “People do this all the time, you know.”

Hickerson reserved his sharpest criticism for Panettiere’s estranged mother, Leslie, whom he called “by far one of the worst people I’ve ever met in my life… She’s terrible.”

On a more personal note, Hickerson said he and Panettiere now share “mutual respect,” and that he has been attending therapy and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings while continuing to work on himself.

He also revealed he is now in AA after being in “such a dark place” with drugs and alcohol.

As of now, Panettiere and Hickerson are not together, but they remain friends and recently discussed the memoir’s release ahead of publication.

Hickerson admitted he still holds out hope he will one day marry the Nashville actress. “She probably don’t think the same way,” he conceded. “We probably wouldn’t be good together.”

This Is Me: A Reckoning focuses on Panettiere’s personal struggles, including domestic abuse, addiction, and life in the public eye, and is set for release on May 19.

When Panettiere spoke to The New York Times in April 2023, she said of her decision to reconcile with Hickerson at the time, “I did not do any of this lightly,” and noted that the reunion was “contingent on him continuing on this road of recovery.”

The memoir, by all accounts, marks a definitive reckoning — not only for Panettiere, but for the man she says made her life a harrowing chapter worth writing about.

Macaulay Culkin isn’t ready to say goodbye.

The 45-year-old Running Point actor is opening up about the death of his beloved Home Alone co-star Catherine O’Hara — and the grief hits different when you feel like you never got to settle the score.

“When Catherine passed away in January, that hit me,” Culkin revealed to The Gentleman’s Journal. “That hit me pretty good, ’cause, you know, it was just too soon. And I felt that we had unfinished business.”

He didn’t stop there.

“I definitely feel like I had unfinished business with her, you know? I feel like I owed her a favor — and I don’t like having an outstanding debt,” the actor told the publication.

O’Hara died Jan. 30 from a pulmonary embolism, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Rectal cancer was listed as the underlying cause of death. She was 71.

Her career spanned more than 50 years, beginning on the Canadian sketch show Second City Television and continuing through film classics like Home Alone and Beetlejuice, as well as award-winning TV roles such as Schitt’s Creek and The Studio.

The bond between Culkin and O’Hara clearly extended far beyond the set. In December 2023, the two shared an emotional reunion when Culkin received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and O’Hara delivered a speech at the ceremony. “Macaulay — this beautiful, dear little 10-year-old boy — was called a superstar, a moneymaker, one of the hottest leading young men in Hollywood by the world over. How does anyone survive that?” O’Hara said.

She had an answer. “I believe you’d have to possess a certain quality, a gift that dear John Hughes obviously recognized in you, Macaulay: your sense of humor. It’s a sign of intelligence in a child, and a key to surviving life at any age.”

At the ceremony, O’Hara also said of his Home Alone performance: “I know you worked really hard, I know you did. But you made acting look like the most natural thing in the world.”

After O’Hara’s death, Culkin turned to Instagram to pour out what words in an interview couldn’t fully hold. “Mama. I thought we had time. I wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you,” he wrote. “I heard you. But I had so much more to say. I love you. I’ll see you later.” He later added in the comments: “I’m mad about this.”

Culkin also used the Gentleman’s Journal profile to reflect on the broader losses he has faced from his child-star era. He acknowledged the death of his on-screen father John Heard in 2017, as well as losing co-stars including John Candy, Burt Lancaster, and Farrah Fawcett.

“I’m not the tip of the sphere,” he said. “I’m the butt of the sphere. I’m the caboose.”

He added: “My life is unique to me. I don’t really have that many contemporaries when it comes to this stuff. I can’t look left and right and think, ‘Oh, those people have had a similar experience to me.’ But I try to cherish that as much as I can. I feel like I’m living a really uniquely wonderful life.”

For Macaulay Culkin, the debt to Catherine O’Hara may be one that can never fully be repaid — but the love behind it is crystal clear.

Jason Collins, the groundbreaking NBA player who became the first openly gay active player in any of America’s four major professional sports leagues, is dead. He was 47.

His family confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement released through the NBA: “We are heartbroken to share that Jason Collins, our beloved husband, son, brother and uncle, has died after a valiant fight with glioblastoma.”

Collins had been battling the devastating diagnosis for months following treatment for glioblastoma, an aggressive and deadly form of brain cancer.

The family’s statement continued: “Jason changed lives in unexpected ways and was an inspiration to all who knew him and to those who admired him from afar. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers over the past eight months and for the exceptional medical care Jason received from his doctors and nurses. Our family will miss him dearly.”

A Pioneer Who Rewrote the Playbook

Collins spent 13 years as a player in the league for six different franchises, and he revealed in 2013 that he was gay — an announcement that came toward the end of his playing career.

Collins revealed his sexuality in a first-person account for Sports Illustrated in April 2013. He was a free agent at the time, said he wanted to keep playing, and went on to play in 22 games with Brooklyn the following season.

The response to his announcement was seismic. Collins said he received a phone call from former point guard Tim Hardaway, who had previously said that he hated gay people in a radio interview. Former Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant, who was once fined for using an anti-gay slur at an official, praised Collins on social media at the time.

Collins never shied away from using his platform. He wore jersey No. 98 for the majority of his final three playing stints with Boston, Washington and Brooklyn — a nod to the year that Matthew Shepard, a gay college student in Wyoming, was killed.

“My message to other athletes, period, is just be yourself,” Collins said in 2014 after rejoining the Nets. “Be your true, authentic self and never be afraid or ashamed or have any fear to be your true, authentic self.”

The Diagnosis That Shocked the Sports World

Collins’ family first announced he was being treated for a brain tumor on Sept. 11, 2025. By December, the athlete revealed he had been diagnosed with Stage 4 glioblastoma.

Collins spoke out directly, telling ESPN: “A few months ago, my family released a short statement saying I had a brain tumor. It was simple, but intentionally vague. They did that to protect my privacy while I was mentally unable to speak for myself and my loved ones were trying to understand what we were dealing with. But now it’s time for people to hear directly from me. I have Stage 4 glioblastoma, one of the deadliest forms of brain cancer. It came on incredibly fast.”

Collins had only been married three months when the symptoms began. He described being unable to focus while packing for a trip to the U.S. Open, and then, within “hours, my mental clarity, short-term memory and comprehension disappeared.”

He described his experience with dark humor, writing: “According to my family, in hours, my mental clarity, short-term memory and comprehension disappeared — turning into an NBA player’s version of Dory from Finding Nemo.”

The biopsy revealed that his glio had a growth factor of 30%, meaning the tumor would run out of room within weeks if left untreated. He described it as “wild type” — with mutations that made it “even more deadly and difficult to treat.”

Even out, facing death, Collins drew a direct line to the courage that had defined his life. “After I came out, someone I really respect told me that my choice to live openly could help someone who I might never meet,” he said. “I’ve held onto that for years. And if I can do that again now, then that matters.”

“If what I’m doing doesn’t save me, I feel good thinking that it might help someone else who gets a diagnosis like this one day,” Collins added.

The League Mourns One of Its Own

Just last week, Collins received the inaugural Bill Walton Global Champion Award at the Green Sports Alliance Summit. He was too ill to attend and his twin brother, former NBA player Jarron Collins, accepted for him.

Jarron said at the ceremony: “I told my brother this before I came here: He’s the bravest, strongest man I’ve ever known.”

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver did not hold back in his tribute. Silver said Collins’ “impact and influence extended far beyond basketball as he helped make the NBA, WNBA and larger sports community more inclusive and welcoming for future generations. He exemplified outstanding leadership and professionalism throughout his 13-year NBA career and in his dedicated work as an NBA Cares Ambassador.”

Dallas coach Jason Kidd, a former teammate, posted a tribute on X: “This one hurts. Jason Collins was a pioneer. He had courage like you’ve never seen. He was an incredible teammate. And having him in Brooklyn at the start of my coaching journey meant so much. Those who knew him were blessed to call him a friend. You are already missed my brother. Rest in power.”

Collins reflected on the full arc of his journey in his ESPN essay in December 2025, writing: “I got to tell my own story, the way I wanted to. And now I can honestly say, the past 12 years since have been the best of my life.”

Jason Collins is survived by his husband, Brunson Green, parents, Portia and Paul, and his twin brother, Jarron.

He’s the brightest star in men’s tennis — and now he’s proving he’s just as magnetic off the court.

Carlos Alcaraz, A’ja Wilson, and Kylian Mbappé are the cover stars of Vanity Fair‘s first dedicated global sports issue — and the Spanish tennis phenom is turning heads in more ways than one.

As the brightest star on the men’s tennis scene, Carlos Alcaraz draws attention whether he likes it or not. But for this shoot, he leaned all the way in. Photographed by acclaimed lensman Ethan James Green, the Alcaraz cover, with the clay dust, is already generating buzz among fashion insiders — and for very good reason.

The issue explores “sport’s cultural, financial, and political influence at a time where it has emerged as one of the few forces still capable of commanding global, cross-generational attention.” And if Alcaraz’s cover is any indication, sport has never looked this good.

Vanity Fair Style Correspondent José Criales-Unzueta speaks to the Spaniard about his rise to number one and the rivalry that promises the future of his sport.

Alcaraz — one of the youngest Grand Slam champions in history — doesn’t let the weight of expectation rattle him. But he’s clear-eyed about the pressure that comes with the territory.

“I’m aware that I have so much ahead of me, and I try not to think that I have 12 or 15 years left of my career because I get overwhelmed,” he told the magazine.

His recent absence from competition due to injury, he said, was a lesson hard-learned.

“There’s been times in which I didn’t stop to take a break,” he admitted, “and that led to me not playing well, or becoming injured, or… Let’s just leave it at that, that it didn’t end well.”

The Spaniard also took the opportunity to address critics who’ve weighed in on his lifestyle choices — with characteristic, disarming honesty.

“Well, I think that nowadays we have to be way more careful with what we say, and what we do, but at the end of the day, we’re just human, you know?”

On the court, his white-hot rivalry with world No. 1 Jannik Sinner is the match-up the tennis world can’t stop talking about. Alcaraz, for his part, is refreshingly measured about it.

“We’re showing the world that we can be on court and give our best, and try to do the most possible damage to the other while playing, try to beat each other, and then, off court, just be two guys who get along really well.”

Don’t expect him to draw easy comparisons to Federer-Nadal or Nadal-Djokovic just yet, either.

“It’s not comparable to the historic rivalries that have happened in tennis, because we both have so many years ahead. Hopefully, we will continue playing against each other many times, at many finals, and that we will split the greatest tournaments.”

Then there’s the mental side of the game — something Alcaraz speaks about with a maturity that belies his years.

“I think it’s just as important, or more, than taking care of your body. There’s people who are, fairly so, obsessed with body aesthetics, but to me it’s just as important to take care of your head.”

What he doesn’t want is a career that turns him into something robotic. What he doesn’t want is to end up leading a monotonous life that makes him “a slave to tennis.”

The shirtless Vanity Fair cover marks yet another milestone in a media and fashion résumé that’s growing as fast as his Grand Slam trophy case. The young star has already fronted campaigns for Louis Vuitton and Calvin Klein — and this latest editorial moment only cements his standing as one of sport’s most compelling crossover figures.

Suzie Toot Fully Lets Loose on Her New US Tour

After spending the last year growing beyond the expectations that come with RuPaul’s Drag Race fame, Suzie Toot is stepping into her newest era with maximalism, mischief, and absolute theatrical commitment. Her new one-woman show, Suzie with a Z, pulls from vaudeville, Broadway, classic television comedy, and pure drag absurdity — all filtered through a performer who proudly refuses to sand down her weirdest edges.

The tour kicks off on July 9 in Philadelphia and travels across the country with 17 stops through August 2 in Ft. Lauderdale. The show is the highly anticipated follow-up to Suzie’s debut one-woman cabaret show, If You Knew Suzie, which sold out its entire 2025 run including shows in Minneapolis, Atlanta, and Provincetown. Whether you’re a fan of Suzie, musical theater or RuPaul’s Drag Race, Suzie with a Z promises an intimate, offbeat, and laugh-out-loud night of cabaret that cements Suzie Toot as one of drag’s most exciting and endearing rising stars.

Ahead of the tour, Suzie opened up about channeling Liza Minnelli energy, learning to trust her own artistic instincts, and why the best kind of entertainment makes audiences forget reality exists for a little while.

Suzie with a Z is described as your most uninhibited work. What does uninhibited look like for you on stage, and was there anything you had to push yourself to embrace?

This is a show that’s uninhibited in a lot of ways because I felt like coming out of Drag Race there is an expectation of what to do and what you should do post-season, and things that are smart to do, whatever. But there is a freedom now because a whole season has gone by. We are over a year out. I can just be Suzie and everything I’ve wanted Suzie to be on her own because she has a life now. She’s grown and become someone.

And then uninhibited on stage I feel like… When I did my first the tryout for this show, which was called If You Knew Suzie, last year in Provincetown I was terrified. I was like, all the pieces exist. I know that I can do them, but I’ve never performed in this way. I’ve never had an audience in my hands for two hours and I felt like jumping off a bridge the first time that I did it. It was so freeing and so exciting and that was a huge learning experience for me. And since then, I’m like, “Okay, now I know what this is going into it. Let’s let loose, do whatever I want to do, whatever I can think of.” I’m very excited about this show.

You’ve called the show the culmination of your journey so far. What moments out of your career most directly shaped what we’ll be seeing on stage?

Oh, man. I… My reception on the show was very mixed because there were people who really got what I was doing and were so excited about it because it is so different, and there were so many people that did not understand. It was not in a package pretty enough for them to digest it. I loved responding to that side of things and taking the piss out of it and having fun with it and I think so much of this show is shaped by the realization “Oh, okay, this is not food for everyone.” And there is so much laughter. There is so much that is funny and subversive about that. I think that’s been a huge influence on my career in general, and especially this show.

You had mentioned If You Knew Suzie, how does this show differ emotionally and creatively from that show?

If You Knew Suzie was such a, “Hi, here I am. My name is Suzie. Here’s what I have to offer you. Here you go.” And Suzie with a Z, what I love so much about the title, A: the Liza Minnelli reference because she’s a diva. But also, it’s a command. It’s like a, “No, here’s how you spell it. Suzie with a Z.” It is so much more direct and full. It is, “Hi, I’m Suzie Toot, and here’s what I have to offer.” I think that’s the biggest difference between these two shows, and I’m really excited to step into that kind of world with it.

The show blends vaudeville, Broadway, and drag, of course. How do you balance honoring those traditions while still turning them completely on their head?

I think the art that I love is stacked and built on top of itself. I mentioned this in the last interview, but I’ve been watching a lot of The Muppet Show, and The Muppet Show has such a love and a reverence for old vaudeville and for old theater. It’s a new art form built on the legs of what came before it. And so, with Susie, I love that I like to do that, exactly that kind of thing, where we’re looking at it in a fresh way, but really the bones of it are the traditions of theater, what humans have created since the dawn of time – and getting to be a little bit vaudeville, a little bit Greek theater, and a little bit Muppet Show.

What is your process for building a show like this – something that’s both refined and ridiculous a little bit at the same time?

Refined and ridiculous is exactly it. It’s a lot of my notes page on my phone is always going, no matter where I am. I’m like, “If I think of something, this has to come.” And then you wake up later, and you look back at that notes page, and you’re like, “This is a mess” and you decipher what you can out of whatever crazy fever dream I was thinking of before. It’s a lot of time and a lot of deciphering what is usable. But what comes out at the end of it is something that is eclectic and that is so the many different parts of who I am.

The show’s title is obviously a reference to Liza, and you also cite Lucille Ball as one of your inspirations. How have you borrowed from each of them and where do you intentionally diverge from them?

I did a deep dive on Liza Minnelli, and the first time I watched Liza with a Z, the special, in full was such a moment of “Oh, that’s exactly what I want to be doing.” I knew I wanted to do theater, but the stage presence, the style of storytelling, there is no artist that is like Liza Minnelli in any way. And I felt the same way watching I Love Lucy for the first time, where I’m like, “She’s doing something that is so original and no one else on the planet could do the type of comedy that she is doing. And I like to think that all of my divas – like Carol Burnett and Cher – I take pieces of all of them and try to infuse it into my own art, but also, more than anything, just realize that what I do uniquely is the superpower. And that’s what all the great divas who have come before, they have their own superpower. And so that’s where I draw inspiration mostly.

What drew you to the classic era of performance, and why do you think it still resonates with audiences today?

When something is profoundly good, profoundly funny, profoundly enrapturing or exciting, it goes beyond just “oh, this person made a funny thing.” It’s like there are human roots, there are biological reasons that this specifically is hilarious or this specifically is so good. Things like that are evergreen. No matter what, people 1,000 years from now, if this planet is still around- … people are going to be watching reruns of I Love Lucy and be like, “Wow, this is hilarious,” because there’s a fundamental quality to it.

In the show, you’re singing, you’re dancing, you’re tapping. What has been the most physically or vocally demanding part of preparing for the tour?

I’m dancing a lot more in this show than I have in previous shows. My last one-woman show was a lot more sit down, “Hi, everybody.” And sometimes I’d get up and do a time step. But this is like we’re doing choreography. That is an element paired with a lot of singing that you’re like, “Oh, you gotta kinda train for this. This isn’t just a walk in the park.” The performers are athletes, and I’m trying to get there.

Your work is described as theatrical, cerebral and, of course, hilarious. How do you personally define the essence of Suzie Toot?

Those words do a pretty good job. The essence of Suzie Toot…I think reverence is a huge part of it. Ridiculous for ridiculous’ sake. Doing things that are fun and funny because they are, and it doesn’t have to be more than that. There’s so much that is Suzie Toot. That’s my answer.

What do you hope audiences will walk away thinking or feeling after seeing Suzie with a Z?

I really hope that they laugh. But in a serious sense, there are a lot of hard things in the world. The world is absolutely bonkers and crazy right now and I think a very important part of art, and especially drag, is escapism. I love the feeling when I go to a show and the curtain’s up, the show ends, and you’re like, “Oh, I was somewhere else for two hours. I was not here and that was blissful, and my life is better for it.” That I think is one of the biggest takeaways.

I’m still manifesting for you to be in Oh, Mary! On Broadway but is there anything else that’s still on your bucket list or some plans that you have coming up?

Oh, man. I’m, I’ve been enjoying the tour life. Getting to travel as much as I have has been so exciting. But I do, I manifest something long-term that’s here in New York City that can be a vessel. Broadway or not, whatever that may be, I just want to do theater that means something and is really good and also doesn’t require me to get on a plane. That’s what I manifest.

Vin Diesel hit the stage at NBCUniversal’s upfront presentation at Radio City Music Hall on Monday to drop the kind of bombshell that should have car-revving die-hards everywhere doing a celebratory burnout: a Fast & the Furious TV series is officially in the works at Peacock.

Standing alongside Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, the Dom Toretto himself, 58, told the room full of advertisers that the franchise is finally shifting gears into streaming after years of fans begging for it.

“As you all know, we are very precious about these movies but over the last decade, we’ve realized that the fans have wanted more, they wanted us to expand the legacy characters, their stories,” Diesel said.

“And for the last decade, the desire has been for us to enter the TV space.”

Here’s where things get a little… messy. Diesel teased not one, not two, but FOUR shows from the Fast universe coming to the Peacock-branded streamer. “The news that I have here today is that Peacock is launching four shows from the Fast and Furious universe,” he declared.

Cool story — except a source inside Peacock told The Hollywood Reporter that only one Fast show is actually in active development, with the others reportedly puttering around in various stages of development at Universal Television. So, you know. Quarter mile at a time.

Diesel explained that he finally came around on the small-screen leap once Universal Studios chief Donna Langley also took oversight of NBCUniversal’s TV operation last year.

“That’s when I knew that the integrity of the characters, the international appeal, what makes us all feel like family will be protected in the TV space,” he said.

The lone confirmed Peacock TV series is being co-run by Mike Daniels (Sons of Anarchy, Shades of Blue, Rockford Files) and Wolfe Coleman (Shades of Blue), who serve as co-showrunners and executive producers in addition to writing the pilot. Diesel is executive producing through his One Race banner along with longtime franchise vets Neal Moritz, Chris Morgan, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Pavun Shetty.

Plot details? The show’s logline simply reads, “More to come…” Helpful!

The Fast empire is, of course, kind of a juggernaut — the films have amassed more than $7 billion at the worldwide box office, making it Universal’s most profitable and longest-running franchise. The 11th flick, Fast Forever, is screeching into theaters in 2028, and the original The Fast and the Furious turns 25 this year.

Buckle up, basically.
