Kathy Hilton is out as Grand Marshal Icon of the 2026 WeHo Pride Parade, and the role will go unfilled.

Just four days before the annual celebration, Hilton and city officials announced she would no longer serve as the Grand Marshal Icon honoree for the 2026 WeHo Pride Parade. The decision was announced in a joint statement from the socialite, the City of West Hollywood, and the WeHo Pride production team.

The backlash stemmed from Hilton’s purported ties to President Donald Trump‘s MAGA movement, as well as a separate allegation from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmate Erika Jayne that Hilton used a homophobic slur on a cast trip to Colorado. Hilton denied using the slur.

The city had originally announced Hilton as the 2026 Grand Marshal Icon in May, praising her “commitment to the LGBTQ+ community, allyship in the entertainment industry, and unwavering support across pop culture.”

“The announcement of Kathy Hilton as Grand Marshal Icon for the 2026 WeHo Pride Parade has generated a range of perspectives across our community,” the statement read. “In recent days, community members have shared thoughtful feedback regarding the role and significance of Pride honorees.”

City officials acknowledged that the announcement prompted deeper discussions about the significance of Pride honorees and their role within the LGBTQ+ community.

“The City of West Hollywood has always believed that Pride belongs to the community,” the statement read. “After thoughtful discussions, the City of West Hollywood, the WeHo Pride production team, and Kathy Hilton have determined that the 2026 WeHo Pride Parade will not designate a Grand Marshal Icon honoree.”

Hilton, 67, addressed her exit directly, taking a measured tone.

“I am honored to have been considered for this recognition and appreciative of the support I have received from members of the community throughout the years,” Hilton said. “My reason for wanting to be involved in this year’s WeHo Pride weekend was simple: to celebrate, support, and share in the joy of a community that means a great deal to so many people. Pride is, and always will be, about celebrating and uplifting LGBTQ+ voices, experiences, and achievements.”

Hilton, the socialite heiress turned reality star and mother to Paris and Nicky Hilton, sidestepped the specific controversies surrounding her selection in her portion of the statement.

“My support for the community and WeHo Pride is unwavering. This monumentally important event has always had a special place in my heart,” she added.

The joint statement did not reveal who specifically was leading the community pushback, nor whether any LGBTQ+ advocacy groups had applied pressure behind the scenes. It also remains unclear if any other scheduled celebrity guests or performers threatened to boycott the event prior to Hilton’s withdrawal.

Despite the withdrawal, the WeHo Pride weekend festivities will proceed as scheduled, beginning Friday night with the OUTLOUD music festival at West Hollywood Park and featuring a Saturday headline performance by the Pussycat Dolls. The parade itself will take place on Sunday.

The WeHo Pride Parade is set to take place along Santa Monica Boulevard, between Crescent Heights Boulevard and San Vicente Boulevard, and will feature nearly 120 parade entries.

The original announcement had also named former Los Angeles Rams Cheerleaders Quinton Peron and Napoleon Jinnies, along with the current Los Angeles Rams Cheerleaders, as Trailblazer Icons for the parade. It is not yet clear whether that designation remains intact.

Leave it to Madonna to make Pride Month even gayer than it already is.

The Queen of Pop turned Times Square into a full-on dance party Thursday night (June 4, 2026), teaming up with Grindr for a surprise pop-up concert that sent fans and unsuspecting tourists into a complete frenzy. Just thirty minutes after announcing the surprise show in the Grindr app, Madonna took over Times Square, stepping onto stage wearing a Dolce & Gabbana corset and ensemble.

Grindr alerted fans just a couple of hours before she took the stage with a group of dancers at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time, urging people to hurry down to Times Square. And hurry they did.

The whole thing went down at a venue called The Square. The venue is unusual in the sense that you don’t realize it’s a concert space until suddenly it is. One moment you’re looking at an LED screen in Times Square, the next moment its previously invisible walls are diving inward to reveal a performance space. Basically, a Times Square skyscraper cracked open to reveal the most unexpected party in New York City.

18,000 square feet of LED screens were there to help boost what was going on inside the in-building space. The scale of this thing was absolutely not modest.

Dressed in a pink bodysuit, matching elbow-length gloves, and knee-high silver boots, she was surrounded by dancers on the narrow stage, but had a rotating platform. The 67-year-old was not here to play it safe.

According to the fan account Madonna Records on X, the original Material Girl performed six songs: “I Feel So Free,” “Bring Your Love,” “Love Sensation,” “Get Together,” “I Love New York,” and “Hung Up.”

Between the Confessions to Confessions II switchover, Madonna flipped the in-venue lights to the Pride flag and turned Times Square into a massive screening room for a montage of Pride’s radical, riotous roots. A whole moment.

A select lucky group of fans caught the best vantage point of the 15-minute show from the TKTS red steps in Times Square, courtesy of Grindr. Meanwhile, despite the on-street barriers, a slow but steady stream of tourists filtered through the Times Square hub, many of them jamming out to era-defining hits like “Hung Up” while walking down the sidewalk, seemingly oblivious to the fact that the artist herself was performing the music above them.

Emmy-nominated producer and self-professed “pop culture junkie” John Pascarella was among the first to post videos from the pop-up event, alerting his followers that “Madonna just SHUT DOWN Times Square with a surprise performance for @grindr.”

The internet, predictably, lost it. The concert was trending on X as fans tweeted reactions, with one calling it “HERSTORY” and someone else deeming the concert “absolutely unparalleled and pure fire.”

“It’s wild that after nearly five decades, Madonna is still the blueprint,” someone wrote on Instagram. “Longevity like this is for a select few.”

“It’s crazy to see how much effort, heart and puss she’s been putting lately in her projects or releases even after all these years,” another fan tweeted. “It’s so inspiring to see her so in touch with herself serving everything. Definitely, best album rollout since 2008.”

This Grindr partnership has been a whole rollout strategy. The Madonna x Grindr collab launched in late April with an exclusive picture disc of Confessions II, the hotly anticipated sequel to Madonna’s 2005 masterpiece Confessions on a Dance Floor.

Grindr’s CMO was clearly very pleased with himself. “Gay culture has always been at the center of the conversation, setting trends, deciding what the world cares about next. That conversation starts on Grindr and even the Queen of Pop knows it,” said Tristan Pineiro, Grindr CMO.

Madonna’s surprise concert was not only a bold way to kick off Pride Month, but an over-the-top way to build buzz for her upcoming 15th studio album, Confessions II, due out on July 3.

If this is how she kicks off Pride, we can’t imagine what she has planned for the rest of the month.

Patrick Wilson just broke the internet, and he didn’t even have to try.

The 52-year-old actor is sending social media into a collective meltdown this week after a clip from his upcoming Apple TV+ limited series Cape Fear went viral, showing Wilson shirtless and cranking out power clean after power clean with the kind of ease that makes the rest of us question our gym memberships.

Apple TV dropped the clip as a promo, simply captioned “Get pumped,” ahead of the series’ June 5 premiere. Mission accomplished.

The reaction was swift and very, very thirsty. One fan on X summed up the collective sentiment perfectly, writing, “Patrick Wilson working out in a new post… oh i’m unwell.” Understandable, honestly.

This isn’t the first time Wilson has sent the internet into a spiral over his physique. The acclaimed actor, known for wowing audiences in The Conjuring and The Phantom of the Opera, rocked tight white shorts and flexed a six-pack that had fans going berserk on social media.

Wilson is no stranger to going hard. He has competed in Hyrox America events before, sharing on social media that he completed a race, writing, “I did another thing this am. Thank you @hyroxamerica for putting this together, and special thanks to the killer cameraman who kept me going!” The man has an entire fitness support team. Noted.

The Hyrox organization couldn’t contain their excitement either, captioning a prior highlight reel featuring Wilson with “Hollywood to HYROX @thereelpatrickwilson does not miss!”

Fans at the event have had similarly stunned reactions. One person wrote under Wilson’s video, “Too locked in to realize I was rowing next to @thereelpatrickwilson. Honored to share the arena together today champ,” while another quipped, “Man, homie be fightin demons ON and OFF screen… lol.”

As for the show itself, Wilson has plenty to say beyond the barbells. He told “Extra,” “You can see threads from the book to the ’62 version to the Scorsese version and then telling it over 10 episodes, we really get time to go into all these characters, backstories, and different lives. You’ve got a family and trust and vengeance and tension and all those juicy words to lock into, so you don’t need to have seen any iteration of this.”

He added, “I’m excited for this audience to find out their Cape Fear through us and then go back and watch the other versions.”

In the 10-episode series, Wilson stars alongside Amy Adams and Javier Bardem. The show is written and showrun by Nick Antosca and executive produced by Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg. Not a bad crew to lift heavy for.

This is an exceptionally busy week for Wilson, who will also be at the Tony Awards to support The Lost Boys, the new Broadway musical he produced and for which he is nominated for Best Musical. Because apparently breaking the internet wasn’t enough for one week.

Cape Fear debuts Friday, June 5 with the first two episodes on Apple TV+, with new episodes dropping every Friday through July 31.

Robert Pattinson is done letting the haters have the last word.

The 40-year-old actor, who is gearing up to reprise his role as the Dark Knight in The Batman: Part II, has fired back at critics who claimed he did not bother training for the 2022 original, and he is not being subtle about it.

In a new GQ interview tied to the publication’s summer cover story on “The Odyssey,” Pattinson confirmed he had a home gym installed specifically to pack on muscle ahead of filming “The Batman: Part II.”

“I worked out every f–king day,” Pattinson said. “Even after that, I still look like I didn’t work out. I worked out twice a day at, like, three o’clock in the morning.”

The Twilight alum acknowledges, however, that he may have inadvertently fueled the skepticism himself.

Pattinson blamed the criticism of his superhero physique, in part, on a comment he once made about exercise being uncool, explaining the remark was simply him attempting to sound edgy. “I’m like, it’s just because I said it in an interview,” he said. “I was trying to sound cool!”

For the Batman 2 workout, Pattinson described his approach as “refined and streamlined,” noting he is continuing to rely on the same equipment from the first film: a Bosu ball and a single 5-pound dumbbell. He has also added one new component to the routine: the 7 Minute Workout, a brief, app-based circuit commonly used for general fitness.

When asked whether he plans to increase the dumbbell weight for the sequel, Pattinson indicated he does not. Five pounds is sufficient.

The production timeline for The Batman: Part II has been anything but smooth. The sequel kept getting pushed back during its development and pre-production phases, and Pattinson filled the growing gap by shooting several films back-to-back. “I’m like, ‘Well, I’ll do another movie in between.’ And then I ended up doing f–king a lot of movies,” he said.

Those films include The Odyssey, Dune: Part Three, The Drama, Die My Love, and his self-produced project Primetime.

Now that production on Batman 2 is finally coming together, Pattinson is learning what he is actually in for, and it sounds brutal.

“I just heard from the stunt guy the other day. He said, ‘Ooh, 11 weeks of nights.’ I’m like, ‘Excuse me?’ I’m like, ‘No one’s even sent me a schedule,'” he said.

Director Matt Reeves previously told The Batman: Part II will start shooting at some point in 2025, with Pattinson, Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright, and Colin Farrell all expected to reprise their roles.

“The Batman: Part II” is currently slated to open October 1, 2027.

As for his upcoming slate, audiences can catch Pattinson in The Odyssey, opening July 17, and Dune: Part Three, on December 18.

While the show delivers plenty of drama and chaos, Jason says the experience also became a test of focus, resilience, and character. Between competing alongside his cousin, Chris Hahn, and navigating the pressures of elimination-style gameplay, Perfect Set pushed him harder than he expected, both physically and mentally.

We caught up with Jason to discuss his athletic roots, the evolution of creator-driven entertainment, and why Perfect Set may be the most authentic representation of himself viewers have seen yet.

Your background is quite diverse. You’ve done collegiate wrestling and MMA training, photography, directing and, of course, reality TV. Do you feel like Perfect Set was the first project that really brought all of these sides of your personality together?

Yes. Perfect Set was a really good opportunity for me to show my athleticism, talk about my life a little bit more, and bring all those things to light, and it was just an awesome opportunity for me to show that, for sure.

Coming from a serious athletic background, did you enter Perfect Set feeling like you had an advantage over some of the other contestants?

Look, I’m not the biggest, but I could say that I definitely have a very driven mindset, and I think wrestling is a sport that can bring that to the table. I’m not a pro at volleyball but I could say I’m athletic and I have…what’s the word I’m looking for? I guess drive, you could say. Wrestling is a sport where it’s just like you’re never really giving up and a sport like volleyball has got a fast pace to it. So, I think it helped me.

A lot of people know you from Vanderpump Rules and Dated and Related. But Perfect Set puts you in a much more physically demanding environment. Did that experience feel more authentic to who you are off camera?

Compared to Vanderpump, no. I can’t compare the two, but I would say that it did bring a very authentic part of me to the show by being in high stakes situations. I would say I was successful in some, not the best in some, but it definitely brought a very authentic part of me out, for sure.

On the show you’re competing against your cousin. Was there ever a moment where family loyalty conflicted with your desire to win?

Not really. We didn’t get to compete against each other on the court, but if we did, I definitely wouldn’t let that get in the way. I would be like, “Yo, we’re gonna battle this out to the end,” because that’s like brownie points back at home. We live together so, I’m like, “Yeah, I whooped your ass.” Nathan [Webb] was my roommate and we lived together, so that was a little bit of a battle that we had on the court – but I don’t want to spoil anything.

You have said you’re interested in directing and filmmaking. As someone who understands storytelling from behind the camera, did that change the way you approached being on reality TV?

That’s a really good question. I would say that film is different than reality. You do understand a little bit of a story arc possibly, like beginning, middle, end. But I wouldn’t say it changed anything or shed light on anything for me. When I’m on reality TV, everyone asks me what’s my plan. I don’t have one. I just let whatever genuinely is coming from my heart show and, whatever happens, I deal with it in the moment. That’s the good thing about reality. You can’t really plan for these things. You can’t plan answers, you can’t plan a defense or offense. It’s just it’s like volleyball. When the ball’s coming at you, you’re going to just hit it. Just go for it.

One of the refreshing things about this show to me is that it focuses more on competition than drama. Were you happy to see that Perfect Set leans so heavily into athleticism and performance?

Yes, absolutely. The drama came along with it for sure. Everybody’s got these we’re- go-getters on the field. Everyone there is trying to show “Yo, I’ve got the best swing. I’ve got the best spike,” or whatever. So, that came along with it. I like that the focus was athleticism, and the drama just backed it up. It was fun. It was crazy.

What was the biggest misconception you had about beach volleyball before filming the show?

The biggest misconception I had about beach volleyball most likely was, I guess I didn’t believe it could get that physical. It got more physical than I thought. The competition was pretty strong towards the end of the show. Just the jumping and stuff. I know somebody got hurt on the field. Or hurt his leg, and people were like, “Oh, beach volleyball.” But y- it’s a pretty competitive sport. You’re going to get after it. When I got more into the game, I was like, “Dude, I feel like I’m on a battlefield.” I was freaking out.

You’ve built a strong social media following in a relatively short amount of time. What do you think audiences connect with most about your personality and content?

What I think audience connects with my personality the most is that I’m pretty genuine with what I post. I don’t try to pretend to be somebody I’m not. And I think my audience relates to that. I don’t care about making fun of myself. I think everybody’s got a side where you think of funny little skits in your head, and it just sometimes I’m like, “I’m gonna post that,” and I don’t really care what people think, but the right audience is gonna find their way to that. So I think my fans fi- found my personality to be, like, really true and genuine, and they relate to that. I’m not posting stuff that’s really not my life. It’s stuff that’s part of me. I have that writing background or acting background. I mix it all up and make it fun.

OnlyFans and OFTV are creating more opportunities for creators to branch into larger entertainment spaces. What interested you personally about joining a creator-driven platform like OnlyFans?

What dr- drove me to be very excited about an OnlyFans platform that was creator-driven is that on social media, you’re like your own artist. And, everyone thinks oh… it’s like you find your niche. You find your art. Everyone is given a blank canvas, in a sense, and you get to put your own artwork on there on what you want it to be, your style. It’s like going inside someone’s head and being like, “Oh,” “this is what it looks like in here.” And somebody might be way different than what they look like on the outside. So you could show character, you can do… You can… It’s almost like you’re, in the daytime you’re Peter Parker, but at night you’re Spider-Man. It’s cool. But at the same time y- you can go as big and as low as you want. It’s- it’s very interesting. So I love that about OnlyFans. And OFTV is an amazing platform because it’s just, you get to bring that character to real-life situations. It’s gonna test your boundaries, yeah. E- exactly.

You’ve worked in so many different channels, like reality TV, modeling, fitness and digital content. Which space currently feels the most creatively fulfilling for you?

I would say OnlyFans TV has been really good. It gives you the most liquid sense of creativity. It’s a broad spectrum. You can do anything you want, which is great. It’s like your own TV show. And then the OFTV the competition series is insane. I think that has given social media influencers or just OnlyFans stars the creativity to express themselves in the way they want. So yeah, I would say OF has been something that has reached those levels by far.

What was the hardest lesson that you learned while filming Perfect Set?

Bringing your outside world to the inside world. Like, when you’re in there, you’ve got to focus. You’ve got to play hard. During that time, I was going through a couple things outside of the show, and it’s just like any other sport. You’ve got to focus so hard when you’re playing. I had a bunch of other things going on but I was really trying to focus and I made it pretty far on the show. I don’t want to give any spoilers away but I probably could have been a little bit better with my focus. But just like any competition you’ve really got to lock in when you’re in the moment. Don’t let your emotions get the best of you either. Throw those away and just get after it.

Speaking of not giving away spoilers, was there a specific challenge or moment during the season that completely changed the energy of the competition for you?

Yes. One of the challenges before the finals. Basically, there were four players and everybody’s on their own. It wasn’t really a teammate thing, and you just saw everyone’s true colors coming out as far as what they were there for. I’m sure it was to win, but some people still have loyalty on their mind. Some people still have friendship on their mind, because you’re there for so long and it was really interesting to see that.

The cast is full of big personalities. Who surprised you the most during filming?

Alicia [Waldner, host of the Naked Ambition podcast], actually. I wouldn’t say she was the most talented volleyball player, but no matter what she was going through, she just kept her head up. She was going through a time that was like she might not been the best player and had been at a disadvantage, but she really kept it going strong. It’s hard to find that in somebody who’s going through a tough time, so she did an excellent job of keeping her head up, so I’ve got to give it to her.

What do you hope viewers will take away from seeing you on Perfect Set that they may not have understood about you from your previous TV appearances?

They’re definitely going to see a couple sides of me that I didn’t even know were in me. I didn’t know how strong I am when I am at a complete disadvantage. There were moments where we were at a pretty big disadvantage and just kept staying strong.

I feel like I was really resilient during that episode, and my character shows that – and also truth. I was sticking to truth and resilience, and I was like, “Damn, I have good character with that.” I felt like I portrayed that. You never know how the edit’s going to look, but as far as me being pressed and feeling that resilience and honor come out hopefully everybody gets to see what I felt.

You’ve obviously got a lot on your plate, but would you say yes to a second season of Perfect Set if you were asked?

Absolutely. 1,000%. Sign me up.

And, speaking of future projects, what is next for you after Perfect Set?

I’m currently working on something with my cousin Chris, which is cool. We’re working on a couple of things together. I’m also working on a couple of things with reality TV and then OFTV. I’ve got some cool things coming up that me and Chris have been working out on, and I can’t wait to film those OFTV shows that we’ve got lined up. Something with cocktails. I want to make some drinks and do some cool stuff, some competitions. I’m trying to take a little bit what I learned on the Spike show and bring it to my little niche. So yeah, I’ve got some competition ideas in my mind, so we’re working on those.

Don’t hold your breath waiting to see Tom Holland do a cold open.

The Spider-Man star has been asked to host Saturday Night Live more than once, and every single time, he’s said no. The reason finally came out Tuesday (June 2, 2026), and it’s not what most people would guess.

Holland sat down for an episode of Good Hang with Amy Poehler and opened up about why his struggles with dyslexia have held him back from accepting the SNL team’s repeated offers.

Holland told Poehler directly: “I’m heavily dyslexic, which is one of the reasons why, and I’d love to talk to you today about it actually, I’ve never done SNL. I’m just so petrified at the concept of trying to read something and they change.”

That last part is the key detail. SNL famously uses big cue cards with lines on them to guide hosts and cast through sketches, with rewrites often happening right up until the last minute. For someone with Holland’s dyslexia, that’s not just nerve-wracking, it’s a genuine wall.

Poehler responded, “Oh, this is interesting. I’m sure they have had many dyslexics host,” to which Holland replied, “Totally. It’s just that for me, I can read fine. But when I have to read out loud, it just becomes like a kind of — it’s like a mental block and I can freeze.”

He wasn’t being falsely modest about the invite, either. Holland said he felt “really lucky” that SNL has reached out to him a few times, adding, “I’m actually just really scared at the prospect of it.”

The 30-year-old also gave a rare look at just how much effort goes into getting through a standard workday on set. “My worst day at work is the read-through. Like at the read-through, I will try and highlight everything and learn my lines ahead of time so that I am more skimming it than I am reading it.”

None of that is a knock on the show. Holland made clear he genuinely loves it. “I love the show and I love the idea of having fun and making a fool of yourself in such a fun, creative way. It’s just that thing of the cue cards.”

Poehler, ever the cheerleader, tried to nudge him toward a change of heart. She told him she reckons he “can do it,” joking, “You have to remember that there have been people that have hosted that have been fully on drugs.” Holland has not yet been swayed.

Holland was diagnosed with dyslexia at age seven and described himself to Poehler as “heavily dyslexic.”

Interestingly, his partner Zendaya has also never hosted SNL, though for entirely different reasons. As one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors, with four high-profile films and HBO’s “Euphoria” releasing in 2026 alone, finding a free week to host the demanding show is nigh impossible for her.

It remains to be seen if and when the A-list couple will grace Studio 8H with their presence. For now, though, Holland is being refreshingly candid about where he stands, and that kind of honesty about a learning disability from someone with his platform is worth more than any monologue.

Set against the sunny beaches of the Florida Keys, the series combines volleyball showdowns, creator personalities, and nonstop chaos as contestants fight for a $50,000 prize. Chris says the experience brought out a more vulnerable and competitive side of himself, while also giving him the chance to connect with audiences in a more authentic way through the expanding world of OnlyFans and OFTV.

We caught up with Chris to discuss competition, creator culture, reality TV criticism, and why he thinks Perfect Set is changing the way audiences view creator-led entertainment.

 You’ve gone from Perfect Match to Vanderpump Rules and now you’re doing an athletic competition. What appealed to you about stepping into something that’s physically competitive? 

I’ve always been into sports like baseball and football and I surf a lot. Wrestling was probably my forte. I’ve also played a pretty decent amount of volleyball in my life. I live by the beach in Marina del Rey, where there are volleyball courts right outside. And honestly, it wasn’t too much of a challenge for me. I’m pretty comfortable around the volleyball courts, so I was really excited. I was like, I’m not really good, but I definitely have enough skills to show up and potentially win the thing, so I was extremely excited just to be potentially invited to it.

Fans have seen you in relationship shows like Perfect Match where there’s drama and a little bit of strategy. Now you’ve gone to a different kind of strategy. Did you approach Perfect Set with a different mentality than being on a show like Perfect Match?

That’s an interesting question because you’re right, there’s a different strategy when it comes to dating shows, for sure. Honestly, with this experience, I kind of just let everything play out as it should. I didn’t really have a particular strategy. I was just like, “You know what? I’m going to let the pieces fall as they may. It might work out in my favor, it might not.” I just wanted to have fun. I just wanted it to be as real and authentic as it could be, and that’s pretty much the only really thing I wanted to get out of it and go into it with, to be honest.

You’re competing against your cousin Jason [Cohen]. Does that raise the stakes for you, and did you have any kind of rivalry with him during the show?

Of course. There’s always a little rivalry with my cousin, no matter what it is. We’re always playing little games. We’re playing chess or we’re just doing something competitive, so off the bat we’re automatically talking smack to each other to try to get in each other’s heads. But at the end of the day, it’s just all fun and games, it’s nothing too deep, but it would have been really cool to play him in the finals and see who the better man is. Was there a lot of trash talk? There wasn’t as much as there should have been, but the cool thing is that there was trash talk with everyone because we all became pretty close right away, so it was inevitable. I think that’s just part of the game.

Reality TV shows put people in heightened situations. What do you think being on Perfect Set specifically revealed about you that viewers may not have seen before?

I think without spoiling anything, I think me just being more vulnerable, which is definitely something that I do in relationships on my other shows. I think they just see a different competitive nature side of me. None of my other shows have ever been competition based. They have in dating scenarios, but not in a physical way. So, I think just being able to see me more enhanced in a physical type of way, displaying my physical abilities in a sense and how I interact in a competitive nature and more how competitive I really get. I think that Perfect Set allowed me to do that much more.

In a sport like volleyball, you need communication and trust under pressure. Were you naturally good at the teamwork side of things, or was that something you had to work at?

It was definitely something I had to work on, but it’s something that I’ve had in my back pocket for a long time. I’ve always dealt with sports that weren’t really independent. They didn’t involve teamwork and all that kind of stuff. So, I think it’s something that was going to take me a little bit but yes, it is something that I think I displayed pretty decently.

You’re competing against other content creators, but you’re also competing against Olympians. Did you ever feel underestimated going into the competition?

Yes. I’m a humble guy. I knew that I wasn’t going to be the best. I figured I was going to be like mid-tier because I figured, I knew I was going to be better than some people, but some people were definitely going to be more advanced than I was. Like Jason…I’m better than Jason, for sure. I think we both know that.

He said the same thing about you.

Of course. And yeah, I knew it was going to be a challenge and all I could really do was just do my best and have fun with it. It is what it is. I knew I wasn’t going to be a pro. I knew that there were going to be some really good people in there – and I think that was also part of what would be the strategy, trying to be on the best team. You’ll have to see how that plays out.

The show is on OFTV, which has been expanding beyond OnlyFans into original programming. From your perspective as a creator, why do you think platforms like OnlyFans are moving more into that space of mainstream entertainment?

I honestly think people kind of sleep on it. They don’t really know how broad OFTV has been. Obviously, there’s reality type shows, there’s day in the life, there’s fitness, there’s just so many different forms of entertainment there nowadays. I think it changed the game because I feel like it allows people to get to know all of us creators on a different level, and I think that’s awesome, and I think that also allows us as creators to build an even closer relationship with our audience.

You’ve built up quite an audience from being on TV and on your social media. How do you balance giving fans access to your personality while still keeping your private life private?

I would say it takes some time to kind of get that down. I feel like reality TV sometimes can feel a little filtered – not that it’s not real at all, but it can be filtered a little bit. So yes, they’re on this adventure with you. They see you on the other side of the screen, they see what you do, they hear what you say, they see what you do and how you interact and all this stuff.

However, it does take a lot of real communicating to get to know someone to really know who I am personally and so yes, I do feel like a lot of my content is personality driven and a lot of it can be sometimes where I get vulnerable with people and really show them who I am on the inside and my soft side and my goofy side. There are parts where I get even more personal, but I feel like I’m pretty much an open book. There’s a lot that I like to talk about with myself and the things that I’ve gone through in my life, and I feel like if it could potentially help other people in my audience, no matter what it is. I think that’s awesome. I think there is a limit to everything, but I feel like there’s not really a way to explain how I differentiate it. It kind of just depends on the connection that I built with that creator or the audience.

With the evolution of OnlyFans, have you noticed attitudes shifting as OFTV produces more shows like Perfect Set?

Yes, because obviously it’s a very PG set. It’s not sexual at all. I feel like the stigma has slowly been falling off, I think that’s also because of how many athletes are joining OnlyFans, as well as artists and some big A-list celebrities. It just goes to show that it’s not all about sexual desires and photos and stuff like that. It’s so much more than that.

It’s more personality based. It’s a deeper way to connect with your audience. I feel like it’s different than it used to be and it’s more than just the sexual stuff. It’s on such a deeper level and such a more creative level than it’s ever been and I think that I think that’s great for the platform. I think it’s great for the audience and I think it’s only going to get better. Its going to really show more genuineness on creators’ end. I think it’s going to help us become more comfortable with opening up and I think that’s an amazing thing.

It seems like OnlyFans gives you more creative freedom. Has that changed the way that you’re thinking about your career moving forward?

Yes. Definitely. There’s a lot that I really want to do. I do want to do more unscripted television and, obviously, I try to keep the really sexual, explicit stuff away because that might interfere with some potential opportunities. So I think that’s the, that’s how OnlyFans has, where it’s come from to where it is now, I think that has definitely allowed me to feel more comfortable with still being able to monetize and not go too far and have fun with it, really just connecting and getting to know my audience more.

OFTV has shows that cover so many topics, like dating, cooking, comedy and sports. If you could develop your own show for OFTV, what would it be?

Ooh, I would want to do one like Survivor, where they’re trapped on an island. I think that would be a really cool one. Or even, just based off the reality shows that I’ve been on, I think restaurant industry is such a playground for reality TV because there’s just always so much to unfold with relationships and restaurant drama. There are so many different dynamics. I think that would be an amazing idea, and I honestly think sky’s the limit.

I think a lot about fitness. I would love to teach a whole bunch of people how to surf. I think that’d be great, but I don’t know if I could go far with that. But honestly, there’s so many. Off the top of my head though, that’s what I’ve got.

Perfect Set has got a little bit of everything. What was the vibe behind the scenes when the cameras weren’t rolling with you and the cast?

I think behind the scenes, it was extremely flirty. It was very competitive to where some people were getting a little…I wouldn’t say quiet and shy, but they were just trying to hone in. There were some people who were kind of goofing off. Me personally, I’m a goofy person in general. I’m always throwing jabs at people. I’m always not taking it too deep and too seriously – but I also do have my competitive nature where I try to lock in. But there were a lot of tense moments when we were all together because, obviously, there’s money on the line. There’s just pride on the line. And things can get a little chaotic on- and off-camera. But sometimes, when it’s off camera, it can get a little bit more serious.

If you had to describe the energy of Perfect Set in three words, what would they be?

Definitely chaotic. Definitely sexy. I think we were all looking pretty good in our ‘fits. And this is the important one I don’t want to say flirty. I don’t want to say fiery. How would I say that? I think chaotic, sexy, and fun. It was a fun vibe. I think at the end of the day, it was just a really good time to be there. We were in Florida. The weather could’ve been a little better, but it was still beautiful there. We were in Key West and I was very appreciative to be there. It was really rainy and windy the first day, but it was still just awesome to be there, so I couldn’t complain.

Between the shows that you’ve been on – and now Perfect Set – what have you learned about yourself through these different shows?

Ooh, that’s a really good question. What have I learned about myself? I don’t know. I think, because obviously with reality TV, you know that everything you say and do, the world is going to be able to see it all. And it’s almost not out of your hands how they edit it, but, because it is real. It isn’t, it’s not always, like I said before, it’s kind of filtered. It can be taken out of context in certain scenarios. I think no matter how people portray or perceive you when they watch your shows, I think as long as you know who you are at the end of the day, your morals, who you are as a person deep down, that’s what matters.

I feel like it’s easy to get discouraged because people are going to talk negatively about you no matter what. You could be a saint on your show and people will still find a way to talk negatively about you or have negative notions and stuff like that. I think you should just be proud of who you are in anything and not take it too seriously.

I feel like the first show I did, I took it a little too seriously. But then, at the end of the day, it’s really not that deep. It blows over. I feel like I’ve just learned to love myself more because, yeah, people are going to criticize you no matter what, and at the end of the day it’s just not that deep and it’s just life, and you live and you learn. Sometimes, you say the wrong thing or you do the wrong thing, but it really just depends on how you come back.

After audiences see you on this show specifically, what do you hope that they walk away thinking about you?

I hope they just see that there’s more to it than the game. There’s more to it than the money, than the pride. It’s more about the team camaraderie and I think that’s just really important to, no matter what, keep your heads up and excel through defeat and through all of it.

After Perfect Set and after your Survivor show that you’re going to have on OFTV – I am manifesting this for you – what else is next?

Ooh, more Vanderpump Rules is definitely next. I would say some more unscripted projects are coming up next, for sure. But maybe some music soon. I started singing a little bit. I want to start writing my own songs. I don’t know if I have a great enough voice yet, but I’m working on it. It’s a work in progress…and just exploring more of who I am and what I love to do. More traveling for sure. You can definitely expect that from me. And just more having fun and letting loose and all the good stuff – just enjoying life. More of that to come for sure. More content. I’ve got to get back on my content game. I’m in Jersey right now visiting my family, so when I get back, I’ve got to hone back in on that. My cousin and I, we also wrote our own script recently, so we’re working on trying to get that into development as well. There’s so much going on.

He was tall, blond, and impossibly handsome — a Princeton graduate who could command $15,000 a day on a photo shoot. But behind the glossy campaigns and celebrity friendships, Hoyt Richards was hiding one of fashion’s darkest secrets.

Richards was the quintessential all-American guy. After earning a football scholarship to Princeton, he became the world’s first male supermodel, jet-setting across the globe for campaigns with Versace, Valentino, Ralph Lauren, and Burberry, and posing for legendary photographers including Helmut Newton and Steven Meisel.

He worked and socialized with the era’s A-list models, including Cindy Crawford, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, and Naomi Campbell. He was, no doubt, the first male supermodel.

Yet beneath the glamour, Richards harbored a harrowing secret. For years, he was enmeshed within a shadowy religious sect called Eternal Values, which kept him psychologically enslaved with convoluted forms of love and abuse, reassurance, and disapproval.

A Beach Encounter That Changed Everything

In the summer of 1978, a 16-year-old Richards was sitting on the beach in Nantucket when a man laid down his towel, sat next to him, and started talking. “I had heard about him from my friend, this guy who was from New York and was into astrology and ancient religions,” Richards recalled.

That man was Frederick von Mierers — and the encounter would alter the course of Richards’ life forever.

Von Mierers was a Manhattan socialite whose spiritual teachings and larger-than-life personality quickly drew Richards in. The group, Eternal Values, preyed on ambitious young models and professionals in New York’s fashion scene. Von Mierers cultivated influence through New Age philosophy, bizarre claims of being an alien “walk-in” from the planet Arcturus, and expensive “healing” rituals.

Von Mierers believed in impending doom — that he and his fellow aliens had been sent to earth to help earthlings, an intergalactic team of emergency responders. As the leader of Eternal Values, it was his responsibility to find the others and teach them about their true origins and noble calling.

Targeting the Beautiful and the Brilliant

Von Mierers, who believed in a “master race,” courted attractive young people. His Nantucket house guests recall being sent out to scour the beach for good-looking recruits, handing out invitations to the finest physical specimens they could find.

Von Mierers purposefully surrounded himself with good-looking Ivy League graduates like Richards, betting that no one would believe that these attractive, intelligent individuals could be brainwashed. “The story of Hoyt Richards is a cautionary tale,” Richards himself has said.

The financial toll was staggering. While attending Princeton, Richards was scouted by Ford Model Agency and quickly became a highly paid male model. After graduation, he moved to New York, where he gave almost all of the money he had directly to Eternal Values. “My career was taking off, and I thought it was because I was involved with this group and had made a conscious choice to commit myself to God and to living a spiritual life,” he told Rolling Stone. At one point, he was making close to $90,000 a month — and von Mierers got pretty much everything.

The cult controlled Richards and pocketed an estimated $4.5 million of his earnings for almost two decades.

Sex, Secrets, and Scandal

The group’s activities extended well beyond spiritual guidance, involving drug-fueled sexcapades, an illicit gem business, and a charismatic leader who claimed to be an extraterrestrial.

Former Eternal Values member Paul Hinton says in the documentary that von Mierers’ teachings implied that he was above sexual desires, but the leader would secretly sleep with male sex workers. Hinton believes this behavior eventually exposed von Mierers to HIV-AIDS.

The rest of the world was about to find out about von Mierers and the cult in a shocking Vanity Fair exposé. As Richards narrates, that’s when things truly unraveled. “Everyone was talking about” the 1990 article, which detailed “the Ford models” connection to the group.

Von Mierers died in 1990, but the damage he had done to Richards and dozens of other followers lasted for years.

HBO Brings the Story to Light

Bring Me the Beauties: A Model Cult is a three-part documentary series from Emmy-winning director Chris Smith (100 Foot Wave) that chronicles Richards’ decades-long entanglement with Eternal Values.

“I don’t know if we could have made this docuseries without Hoyt or Jackie. Hoyt’s rise in the modeling world was a catalyst for the group as well, but Jackie was really the catalyst of the fall,” Smith told Rolling Stone. “It was her realization that this group is not what it seems and not a healthy environment.”

The docuseries includes never-before-seen archival footage and in-person interviews with former members of Eternal Values, many of whom took years to recover from their relationships with von Mierers.

Richards’ story as a 20-year member of Eternal Values, an apocalyptic, survivalist UFO cult, is harrowing but ultimately empowering. He managed to save himself, process his experiences, and become a successful and fulfilled individual.

Bring Me the Beauties debuts June 1 on HBO and is available to stream on Max.

She said she wasn’t coming back. Then she entered the drug-testing pool. Then she started posting serve videos on Instagram. And now? Serena Williams has made it official.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion has received a wild card to compete in doubles at Queen’s Club in London — her first tournament in over three years. The tennis comeback the sport has been holding its breath for is actually happening.

Williams’ return will kick off at the HSBC Championships, a WTA 500 event running June 8 through 14 on the iconic grass courts of The Queen’s Club. Her doubles partner has yet to be announced.

“Queen’s Club feels like the perfect place to begin this next chapter,” Williams said in a statement to the Lawn Tennis Association. “Grass has given me some of the most meaningful moments of my career, and I’m excited to be back competing on one of the sport’s most iconic stages.”

Not exactly a low-key setting for a comeback. Williams is a seven-time Wimbledon singles champion and also won six doubles titles alongside her sister Venus. Wimbledon begins just over three weeks after Queen’s Club wraps — and the timing is not lost on anyone.

The road back wasn’t entirely smooth. Back in December, reports surfaced that Williams had re-entered the International Tennis Integrity Association’s anti-doping testing pool. She immediately shot the chatter down on X, posting, “Omg yall I’m NOT coming back. This wildfire is crazy-.”

Yeah, about that.

Re-entry to the testing pool requires a six-month cooling period before officially regaining eligibility, and Williams was first cleared to compete on February 22, 2026. She’d been posting practice clips and serving footage on social in the months since, but stayed tight-lipped about a formal return — until today.

WTA Tournament Director Laura Robson didn’t hold back her excitement, saying: “Serena Williams is one of the greatest athletes the world has ever seen, and we’re delighted that she will be making her return to tennis at the LTA’s HSBC Championships. Women’s tennis made a historic return to The Queen’s Club last year, and now we have an icon of the game stepping back on to court at this prestigious venue — it’s very exciting for the tournament and the fans.”

The 44-year-old hasn’t been exactly idle since walking away from the sport in 2022. She’s built a business empire, became a spokesperson for telehealth company Ro, and starred in a commercial for the brand during Super Bowl LX earlier this year, saying she lost 34 pounds on Zepbound.

She’s also been watching her big sister closely. Elder sister Venus has continued to play professional tournaments in her 40s, becoming the oldest woman to win a professional tennis match in over 20 years at the Mubadala Citi DC Open last summer.

Serena responded to one of Venus’ US Open performances with a heartfelt tribute on social media. “Strength, courage, determination, class, perseverance, inspiration… there’s not enough words to describe how proud I am of you @VenusWilliams,” Serena captioned. “P.S. I hope to be like you.”

The HSBC Championships event also pays the second-highest prize money for a WTA 500 event anywhere in the world, with a 35% increase this year. Sixty-two thousand fans showed up to the 2025 edition — one of the highest attendances at a standalone WTA event on the tour. Imagine those numbers with Serena on the draw.

As for what this all means for Wimbledon? Nobody’s saying it out loud yet. But nobody has to. Williams holds the women’s Open Era record for Grand Slam tournament victories, spent 319 weeks atop the WTA rankings, and is the only player to complete a Career Golden Slam in both singles and doubles.

She’s not just a wildcard in the doubles draw. She’s the whole conversation.

The Crave drama series Heated Rivalry did not simply win at Sunday night’s (May 31, 2026) Canadian Screen Awards — it obliterated the record books.

The gay hockey romance dominated this year’s Canadian Screen Awards with a record-setting 16 wins, taking home three trophies at the televised ceremony in Toronto: audience choice, best drama series, and best lead performer for star Hudson Williams.

The Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television confirmed the 16 wins set a new Screen Awards record, surpassing the previous benchmark set by the film BlackBerry, which won 13 in 2024.

The show finished with a total of 16 Canadian Screen Awards from just 18 nominations — a near-perfect sweep across the entire two-night ceremony.

The series also claimed Best Photography, Picture Editing, Sound, Production Design, Costume Design, Visual Effects, Casting, Original Music, Original Song for “It’s You,” and Best Guest Performance for Nadine Bhabha.

Sunday night’s wins added to the 13 statuettes the series took home at a gala dedicated to scripted television on Saturday, including best direction and best writing for a drama.

Williams made no secret of who he felt deserved to share the spotlight. When he took the stage to accept his Best Lead Performer trophy, he delivered what may be the night’s most memorable speech.

“If I could cut this award down the middle, I would. Because if these gay, yearning little bottom eyes didn’t have a big, sexy Russian to feast upon, my performance wouldn’t be as good,” Williams said. “So to the honorary Canadian, Connor Storrie, I share this award with you.”

Because Storrie is American, he did not qualify for the Canadian Screen Awards. The series, however, finds itself in an unusual awards-season position on both ends of the border.

Heated Rivalry also will not be eligible for the Emmys because it was entirely produced in Canada. Creator Jacob Tierney made clear he has no grievances about the Emmy exclusion.

“It’s like asking if you want to go to a thing you know you’re not going to get invited to: it’s fine. God bless them,” Tierney said on the red carpet.

Tierney was equally candid about the show’s unlikely path to cultural phenomenon status.

“It’s very odd to feel like the elephant in the room when this show is so f—king weird, and the success of it is so not obvious in any way,” he said. “Nobody wanted a f—king hockey show, nobody wanted a gay show, nobody wanted this much sex. … It’s very cool, we’re very grateful.”

Executive producer Brendan Brady, for his part, revealed that the show’s record-breaking sweep was almost prophesied.

“[Creator Jacob Tierney and I] went to our good pals at Bell with a pitch deck on why we could do it, why we thought we could handle it, and at the very end … I said it’ll become an international sensation, it’ll grow subscribers on Crave, and we’ll get 14 nominations,” Brady said. “So we feel like we over-delivered.”

Williams, a B.C. native, used his platform at the podium to celebrate Canadian content writ large.

“I’m honoured to be Canadian, and this is fantastic,” he said. “I want to thank some people, the cast and crew of Heated Rivalry, thank you for being such a warm space. Crave, thank you for putting money into our beautiful, straightforward hockey show. HBO, thank you for getting some more eyes on it.”

The show is an international hit, and its success shot Williams and Storrie to the A-list in short order after its debut last winter. It follows the years-long love story of two closeted professional hockey players navigating both the ice and their feelings for one another.

The evening was not entirely Heated Rivalry‘s to own. In comedy, the CBC/Netflix Arctic sitcom North of North won Best Comedy Series, Best Lead Performer, Best Writing, and Best Supporting Performer for a total of nine wins on 20 nominations.

North of North star Anna Lambe won Best Lead Performance in a Comedy. The Nunavut-shot series led all nominations this year with 20, earning nine wins, including best ensemble performance in a comedy, as well as best direction, writing, and original music.

Heated Rivalry is available to stream on HBO Max and Crave, and has already been renewed for a second season.

In our interview, Nathan, who we previously chatted with about OFTV’s cooking competition series This is Fire, opens up about transitioning from dating shows to high-energy competition television, how platforms like OnlyFans have changed the creator landscape, and why Perfect Set may be the wildest project he’s tackled yet.

You first caught audiences’ attention on Too Hot to Handle, and your career has evolved a lot since then. Looking back, how do you feel that your journey has changed over the past few years?

That’s a great question. I think social media is huge. When I first came off Too Hot to Handle and Netflix, it wasn’t paywall social media. It was Instagram, it was TikTok, it was YouTube, Snapchat, that sort of thing. And really, in the last few years with the growth of OFTV, my main platform is really OnlyFans and how they’ve tied that together with all the different shows that OFTV produces. It’s allowed me…I’m in Miami now, so I moved to Miami because it’s more of a hub for OFTV more so than Instagram, than, for other different networks and things. So, if you think about how it’s adapted, I guess it’s sent me coast to coast right now.

Between your reality television appearances, your content creation, your fitness program, and now competition programming, you’ve built a very diverse career. What’s been the biggest lesson in learning how to navigate all those different spaces?

I honestly, I told myself I used to be a big “say yes to everything” person. I would say yes to everything, and for the most part I still do, but it’s allowed me to be a little bit more picky because I was going half in on so many different things as opposed to going all in on one. I’ve taken a step away from the dating show style reality television and I’m having so much fun doing This Is Fire and Perfect Set. We did a pickleball competition show with OFTV (Smash City) and I’m finding it so much more fun just to focus on these competition series and it’s changing the content I produce. A lot of my stuff now is more fitness and gym-related, so it’s adapted in that way.

Since you’ve been on This is Fire, have you continued to experiment in the kitchen? And have you had any notable successes and/or failures?

The answer is yes. I will say that when I moved to Miami, there aren’t really local grocery stores, so I got incredibly lazy and started Door Dashing everything. However, we just filmed another series of This Is Fire and I was forced to cook again. And you know what? I was shocked. I still have it apparently, so you’ll have to wait and see the new season of that but, yeah, I’ve still been cooking and experimenting – not a huge amount, but sticking to what I know and the knowledge is still there.

Perfect Set is the perfect mix of athleticism, strategy, chaos, and reality TV drama. What was your first reaction when you heard the concept of the show?

If you want my genuine reaction… I wasn’t originally cast for it. I happened to be in Miami and they were filming in the Keys, so I got about an hour and a half’s notice to actually appear on the show. I hadn’t played volleyball in a year or so, but I knew that there were four or five of my friends that were actually going to be on the show.

I took a two-hour Uber to the Florida Keys from Miami, and I was just watching refresher videos of volleyball serves. It was a little bit overwhelming to begin with, but once I got there, the competition takes over, so I was very excited to get into it. I obviously wanted to beat a lot of my friends that were there – and with two of my old roommates, there were a lot of head-to-heads. When you say chaos, yeah, it was for sure chaos. I didn’t expect there to be Olympians there. That was a tough one. I thought I could just show up and win this thing, and then we’ve got three or four Olympians that are showing up. I know the guys I’m playing. They’re not exactly the most athletic people, but I thought this was a perfect mix of everything.

Like you said, the show features reality TV personalities, athletes and influencers. What was the dynamic like living and competing together on the show?

It’s funny. When the cameras were rolling, everyone was obviously very locked in and it’s almost like we had two separate relationships between when we were just kind of lounging around or having lunch or going out together at night. But the second we were in competition, we were just at each other’s throats the entire time. Which again, no one took anything too personally. There were times in some of the confessionals that I said some questionable things about Jason, my old roommate and one of my best friends, so I feel like I’m allowed to, because he would know that I was joking. But yeah, it was incredibly intense. It was a real competition. There was money on the line.

Was there a particular challenge or elimination round that really pushed you outside of your comfort zone?

Not so much out of my comfort zone, but when we were playing the big beer pong with the volleyball, that was a rough one. It was my team versus Trent’s team versus Jason’s team, that was a tough one because Jason was really going in on the trash talk on that one. The game, the elimination game against Jason’s team, that was a big one. I wish we won that. Looking back, that was something that he’s held onto now for almost, what, seven months. He keeps bringing that up. That was a little bit rough. I wish we did better at that, but yeah, there’s not really any regrets.

You had worked with Kazumi before on This Is Fire. What was it like working with her and the professional coaches throughout the season?

I loved it. It doesn’t matter where she is or what she’s doing. It can be 5:00 AM or 12:00 PM at night, she is the same. She’s always so bubbly. We stay in contact a lot and we were lucky to meet on This Is Fire. I’ve been to some of her Thanksgiving parties and her Christmas parties. It’s just a familiar face. I love seeing her. She was just here in Miami actually, so I saw her again very recently and I just played volleyball with the coaches in April. We just played volleyball in Miami and three of the coaches – Avery, Elena, and Hagan – were here. Fallon didn’t come down. So that was nice. We’ve all kept in touch.

Alliances and strategy are a huge part of the competition. How intense did the social side become behind the scenes?

Quite intense, especially one of the rounds where we were trying to band together with Trent’s team to eliminate Jason’s team and then when I know it came to Trent going into the final, he didn’t pick Jason to be his partner. Honestly, we were texting in a group chat outside of the cast and they were honestly annoyed at each other. They were genuinely annoyed at each other, which it’s funny, because we’re all friends, but as soon as it’s a competition, everyone was just very, very intense and at each other’s throats.

Perfect Set is on OnlyFans TV, and OnlyFans itself has evolved, especially, with the development of the original programming. How do you think the platform is changing the relationship between creators and their audiences?

That’s a great question. I think going back to 2020, 2021 when I first launched on OnlyFans, it was still taboo. It was still… ooh, OnlyFans. You couldn’t really have it in your bio or anything on social media. And again, people would view it in a negative light. But I know a lot of athletes that are popping up on OnlyFans. There are ex-UFC fighters that are on there and there’s wrestlers and there’s obviously the guys that are volleyball players. There are so many professional athletes now on the platform because we have OFTV, which is essentially similar to YouTube, but with much cooler productions. We have full shows now that we get to participate in. Nick Kyrgios from (Smash City), he’s on OnlyFans. That’s a huge signing that you’ve got this global tennis star who is now on OnlyFans. I think now if someone asked me the question, “What do you do?” and you say, “OnlyFans”, there’s no longer that, “Ooh.” That just doesn’t exist anymore. It really doesn’t. It’s become a lot more mainstream, and that’s purely down to OFTV and how things have adapted. It’s no longer just sex workers; it’s also professional athletes.

You have built a strong fan base over the years. How has OnlyFans allowed you personally to connect with your audience differently compared to traditional social media?

I go live on my OnlyFans at least once a week, and there are people that have followed me now for four or five years, and I know a lot about these people. We speak every single day. I know a lot about them. I know where they’re from, what they do, who they’re with – like Owen, for example, a guy that I quite like. He lives in Australia. This is a guy that I never would’ve met. Jake, another guy, lives in Perth. He’s a lawyer. I met them all through different channels, met them through coaching, then met them through OnlyFans, and it’s cool.

I used to think it was odd. I remember being in West Hollywood and I was at a tanning place, this was back in 2021, and someone walked in, I can’t remember his name, and was like, “Hey, I follow you on OnlyFans.” And at the time I thought “Oof, shit, this is a little strange”. This isn’t the content I was making. But now with the shows, people are genuinely interested in seeing This is Fire and Perfect Set, and I’ll meet people now on the street in whatever city. It doesn’t matter. It doesn’t have to be your home city. I’ve met people in Split in Croatia that said they saw me on This is Fire, which blew my mind. It’s crazy. It just allows me to meet and actually develop a relationship with so many people that I think other social media platforms don’t offer.

Reality TV fans know you well from Too Hot to Handle, but what side of you do you think viewers will see on Perfect Set that they haven’t seen before?

They’ll see more of an athletic side of me. I played rugby for many years. I’m very athletic myself. Being on dating shows, that’s more strategic. That’s not necessarily athletic. So, when it comes to Perfect Set, I think you’ll get to see the strategic side mixed in with my athleticism, which is something that I haven’t got to show yet on reality TV.

What surprised you the most about filming this series compared to other reality projects that you’ve done?

What surprised me the most? Honestly, even with This is Fire, there was obviously prize money, but it didn’t really feel like a cutthroat competition because everyone’s having fun. It’s fun to be in the kitchen. The chef is very fun. But this one, I think because it was also my friends, there was so much that went into the competition aspect. I was very locked in. Usually when I would show up to OFTV for filming, I knew all of the production guys. Everyone has a laugh and a joke, and we make it fun, which it should be. It should be fun to film television. But this one, everyone was just locked in. No one was really talking to each other. It was very serious. And it was nice. It was a nice change. It felt like a real gritty competition show.

I saw the behind-the-scenes video that Kazumi showed around the set. What was it like filming down in the Keys?

It was beautiful. It was the first time I’ve ever been to the Keys and it’s absolutely stunning. I was lucky enough, I say lucky enough, to be added last minute, so I hadn’t planned to see it at all, so honestly, for me, my experience was probably different to the other guys. This was a shock and a really nice surprise. The Keys were stunning. We got to go and see a lot of the local bars and restaurants at night when we weren’t filming. We had our own little mini-island that we had the volleyball court set up on. We saw the sunrise every morning and were lucky enough to see the sunset too. It was beautiful. And Joey, a friend of mine down here, and I have planned to go back to the Keys because we’re going to do a little fishing trip because we both miss it.

The beaches here are so much nicer than California. The Keys are gorgeous and when you cross over to Miami Beach it just feels like you’re on vacation. It doesn’t feel like Miami. You leave Brickell or Downtown Miami, and you hit Miami Beach and it just feels like the Caribbean. It’s so nice. I’ve been here a month, and I should’ve done it two years ago.

If Perfect Set would return for another season, would you want to do it again, or was once enough?

Yes. That is an easy yes. I was very lucky to play in a volleyball tournament down here in Miami Beach called Model Volleyball that we filmed and played last month. Would I practice for the next year? Absolutely. I didn’t know the level of competition would be as high as it was. Knowing a couple of my friends were competing, I was like, “All right, those guys are idiots. They’re not going to be great.” But then we had some collegiate volleyball players. We had the pros. We had some guys that were really good. I would love to go back but, for my own ego, I would like to practice for a year before I went back.

The last time we talked we talked about your fitness venture, Reach New Heights. Any updates?

I slowed it down. The issue I was having is I always told myself that I didn’t want to make fitness a job, because it was my hobby. When I started making it a job, I started to fall out of love with it, and I really didn’t want to do that. I didn’t think that I could give my clients all of me because I wasn’t loving it myself. So, I kind of transitioned out of it not because it was failing, not because I was failing, just because I kind of lost the passion for it that I wanted to get back.

I went back to training myself. I started training in different ways. I’ve enjoyed the little gym they have on Miami Beach, which is really cool. It’s very different. I’ve started training in different ways, running again, and I kind of fell back in love with it because I started to just despise it. Sitting on the laptop for eight or nine hours was just too much.

Looking ahead, what kind of projects or creative ventures are you most excited to explore next?

I’m going to Europe for seven weeks starting on July 15 or 16, and that’s going to be a full out production. There’s four of us that are filming the entire trip. We’ve got probably 10 different areas that we’re going and we’re going to produce a big YouTube series and a long format series of us traveling around and we’re all OnlyFans creators. The four of us are really going to disappear from the United States, show how much freedom OF and social media can give you, and we’re really going to give an insider look into our lives and what we do and where we go and just how much fun it can be.

There are obviously OF creators that you see driving Ferraris and doing whatever, but we’ve always just enjoyed traveling, and I think that’s the beauty of OnlyFans is that it’s time freedom, but it depends on who you ask when you use the word work. Do I think it’s work? No, it isn’t work, but you can definitely make it a job. And that’s what we want to show people, that you can have so much fun. My friends and I make a joke out of it. We’ll make content together. We’ll do different sets, and we’re going to Amsterdam to make OnlyFans content, which is hilarious. For any guy, that’s the funniest job in the world. We kind of just want to showcase that OnlyFans can really change your life. You don’t have to be in one place for too long or spend eight hours at a desk. We get to go and shoot content everywhere – in Greece, in Brussels, in Amsterdam, in London – s o that’s kind of the angle we’re going for.

At the height of Friends fame, the actress got the most baffling case of mistaken identity in Hollywood history.

Lisa Kudrow has survived a lot over the years: a decade of Friends filming, the constant Monica-vs.-Rachel debates, and a career resurgence that keeps proving she was always the most interesting one at Central Perk. But nothing could have prepared her for the moment a hostess at Jerry’s Deli looked her dead in the eyes and called her Dionne Warwick.

During The Hollywood Reporter’s Comedy Actresses Roundtable, Kudrow and fellow comedians Ashley Padilla, Hannah Einbinder, Keke Palmer, Quinta Brunson, and Rachel Sennott were asked about the most bizarre fan interaction they had ever experienced. Kudrow’s answer won the room without contest.

“It was during Friends, and I was going to Jerry’s Deli or something,” Kudrow recalled, noting the hostess initially seemed to recognize her. “And the hostess goes, ‘Oh! OK. I’ll show you to your table.’ And I went, ‘Aw, she’s seen Friends — that’s cute.'”

“She took me to the table and she had an accent — she was from somewhere in Eastern Europe — and just went, ‘Uh, I know who you are,'” Kudrow continued. “She said, ‘You are Dionne Warwick.’ And I just went, ‘No, I’m not!'”

The plot thickens. As it turned out, the hostess was apparently a far bigger fan of Warwick’s 1985 song “That’s What Friends Are For” than she was of the NBC sitcom. The title was close enough, apparently.

The Lisa Kudrow-Dionne Warwick mix-up became even more confounding once Kudrow processed the full situation. “Then it was, ‘Wait, Dionne Warwick? Why would you think I’m Dionne Warwick?'” Kudrow recalled. “I just went, ‘She’s a legend. She’s a legendary singer.’ And she just went, ‘Oh, OK.’ I just thought it was the funniest thing ever.”

For the record: Kudrow and Warwick, 85, look nothing alike, and the singer has never appeared on Friends. Warwick is also Black and 23 years Kudrow’s senior. The confusion remains entirely unexplained by science.

The roundtable panel was predictably delighted. Keke Palmer, 32, leaned into the absurdity with a zinger: “Girl, if you’re Dionne Warwick, I’m Stevie Nicks,” before breaking into song.

Quinta Brunson offered her own analysis, calling it “just face blindness. American face blindness.”

Brunson, for her part, has her own mix-up complaints. “‘You were in I Love Boosters.’ Nope, that’s Keke. Literally, all the time,” she said, before sharing that Niecy Nash recently signed autographs outside of Jimmy Kimmel Live only to be asked which Abbott Elementary cast member she actually was.

None of it, however, touches the sheer audacity of telling the woman who played Phoebe Buffay that she is, in fact, a Grammy-winning soul icon born in 1940.

During its decade-long run, Friends turned its six leads into household names who still reportedly rake in $20 million in residuals more than 20 years after the show’s conclusion. By the final seasons, Kudrow and her co-stars were earning $1 million per episode.

And yet. Still not Dionne Warwick.
