Cellphone users in the U.K. seem to have it better than those residing across the Atlantic in terms of cellphone services. Hotxt is offering unlimited messages to subscribers at the shockingly low price of £1 per week. Both parties must use Hotxt software on their respective cellphones in order to take advantage of this [...]

Nokia 6103 Hands on Review
I have been using Nokia smartphones for some years and was astonished and impressed by the the usability and simplicity of the Nokia 6103 clamshell. The Nokia 6103 is a follow up model of the popular 6101. Apart from the added Bluetooth connectivity and the new material used there are [...]

The LG F9200 has a QWERTY sliding keyboard, similar to the LG VX9800, except that it looks much better. When closed, the F9200 is a cute candy-bar phone with a nice keypad. However, when you want to enter data or type a quick text message, slide the keyboard out. Unfortunately, the display is rather small. It’s probably good enough for SMS but I guess that I would have loved to get a higher resolution to compensate for the small size. The LG F9200 is indeed equipped with a camera and plays music.

It feels smaller than one might think, especially for a Treo 650 user. The keyboard is not as comfortable as the Treo 650 –I thought-. The Moto Q has a very nice finish and is a bit slimmer than the Treo 650 (see photo). Motorola should announce the device within days, so we’ll keep you posted. It’s really a cool device worth considering, if you’re looking for a smartphone in Q1.

The Samsung D807 is part of a new wave of slim phones is coming from Samsung. It is a very cute cellphone that’s only 14.9mm thick and has a sliding keypad. A few features: speakerphone, 1.3 Megapixel Camera, MP3 Player, MP3 ringtones and Micro-SD memory expansion slot. The D807 should be on the market in Q2 2006, according to Samsung.

Shortly after the announcement, here we are playing with the Motorola ROKR E2. As a fellow web publisher was saying: we’ve been publishing rumors about it and once again it was all true ?. The ROKR E2 has a better design (although still somewhat bulky) than its predecessor. Among the physical improvements is a much nicer screen. The ROKR E2 will not use Apple’s iTunes, but Motorola’s iRadio Music Service that will let users download a pre-programmed music show on their phone. Obviously, users can also upload their own MP3 files. Using an SD card, the ROKR E2 could potentially store up to 2GB of music as of today, and even more in the future. Available in H1 2006.

I love this elegant design but Hubert do not… Sure, this phone does not look very practical and I don’t see why the display is supposed to be below the keyboard.
We loved this beautiful phone. It has an elegant and unusual shape. Sound quality was very good and the included ringtones were not bad at all. It’s probably the ultimate small phone to own. Samsung is really catching up the RAZR mania with its slim phones. We will see how successful the Korean company will be. The P300 is only available in Europe and Asia, and Samsung itself doesn’t know if it will ever be available in the US.

I hear a lot of people complaining about the fact that the Motorola ROKR E2 is not iTunes compatible, but why not look at the RAZR V3i instead? It’s a much better looking phone than the ROKR and it works perfectly with iTunes. The number of song is still limited to 100, just like the original ROKR. Assuming that you sync your phone every day or two, you might be OK (unless you’re like my friend Joe and you can listen to the same tune for a month). The 320x240 screen is very nice and it’s a good viewfinder for the 1.23 Megapixel camera. If you can’t live without iTunes, the RAZR V3i is for you.

Nokia has announced its new headset line two days ago at CES and we finally got our hands on the Nokia BH-800 Headset. This elegant tiny Bluetooth headset looks very good and we can only hope that the sound quality is on par with the design. It is the direct competitor to the Motorola MINI. I personally prefer the look of the Nokia BH-800. The MINI is lighter than the BH-800, but has a shorter battery life. Unlike the MINI, this device does not claim to have a noise reduction feature, so we will not speculate about the sound quality before we review them. The Nokia BH-800 comes with a strap that allows the wearer to place and remove the headset with one hand (see photo gallery). It is available in two colors, coffee black and silver white.

It seems that the SE-NSE forums are abuzz with rumors of the next Sony Ericsson phone, dubbed Wilma or Betty. So far 3G capabilities are a good bet, but nothing is confirmed (as usual) until an official statement from Sony Ericsson themselves is released. Check out the speculated specs after the jump. It features integrated GPS and unofficial sources cite a March release date. The G500 shares the same specs as the M600 save for the missing WiFi – which is most probably replaced by the GPS module. Check out the features after the jump. The HPP provides IP telephony functions via the 802.11b network, utilizing NTT West Japan’s Hikari Phone IP service that takes up the 0AB ~ J numbers. You can have multiple phone numbers on a single line that can be used simultaneously. Data transfer to a PC can be performed via the HPP’s USB 2.0 port. The HPP measures 43 x 20 x 130mm, weighs 102g, stores up to 300 entries, and provides up to 3 hours’ worth of talk time and 55 hours of standby time. Both the T810 and T830 share the same specs, from the Intel XScale 416MHz processor, 64MB RAM, and 128MB ROM to its integrated GPS functionality. Its features and specs will most probably outmuscle the iPAQ hw6900 when released. The T830 differs from the T810 in one aspect though – the former sports a 2 megapixel digital camera to capture those precious moments while you’re on the go. The Blackberry-inspired design on the P970 makes it look like a dull brick, although it does have some pretty decent functions including a megapixel camera. Look out for the P970 before the first quarter of 2006 is over. New Launches via Gizmodo
