    <title>The DC Center is Hiring a Part-Time Social Worker!</title>

The DC Center is looking to hire a part-time DC-licensed Social Worker (LGSW or LICSW) to help serve our fast-growing LGBTQ client base seeking mental health support services.
The Part-Time Social Worker will work 20 hours, (approximately 3 days per week), serving a caseload of 10-15 clients by providing both individual and group mental health support services to LGBTQ survivors of violence (intimate partner violence/domestic violence, sexual assault, bullying, hate bias crimes, physical assault, stalking, etc.) Applicants must have clinical experience working with trauma survivors both in an individual and group therapy capacity. Experience working with LGBTQ individuals in a clinical capacity is also preferred.
This position would also work with facilitators of The DC Center&apos;s existing support groups, including GenderQueer DC, Harm Reduction Group, LGBTQIA People with Disabilities, Center Aging and Trans Support Group, to train facilitators on best practices for leading and moderating support and discussion groups. Throughout the year, the part-time Social Worker will provide at least 3 training opportunities for facilitators to grow their skills and ensure the application of best practices for leading groups.

Jazmin has worked with NCTE, Whitman-walker, and many other local and National organizations.  She is truly a pioneer in activism and the music industry.  She is a visible and openly trans artist creating a buzz on jazz, soul, and gospel stages everywhere!  

She is passionate about just giving people a chance to grow and supporting change in the under-served and marginalized LGBT+ communities of color.  We are excited about her presence here!  Feel free to stop by and meet her,  we look forward to your next visit!</summary>

Reports to: Executive Director of the DC Center for the LGBT Community

Compensation: This position is funded for two months. No guarantee of employment is made after that time.

Hours: The DC Center hours of operation are typically 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. This position will also require evening and weekend work as needed, starting as soon as possible.

Objective: The Impact Health Specialist will supervise a team of four peer educators in order to reduce HIV transmission among men who have sex with men and trans women of color in the District Columbia. The team will conduct outreach in the community on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), and promote the DC Center PrEP App.

<p><strong>Reports to</strong>: Executive Director of the DC Center for the LGBT Community</p>

<p><strong>Compensation</strong>: This position is funded for two months. No guarantee of employment is made after that time.</p>

<p><strong>Hours</strong>: The DC Center hours of operation are typically 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. This position will also require evening and weekend work as needed, starting as soon as possible.</p>

<p><strong>Objective</strong>: The Impact Health Specialist will supervise a team of four peer educators in order to reduce HIV transmission among men who have sex with men and trans women of color in the District Columbia. The team will conduct outreach in the community on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), and promote the DC Center PrEP App.</p>

<p><strong>Duties</strong>:<ul><li>Undergo IMPACT health training</li><li>Hire and train four Peer Educators in PrEP information and cultural competency</li><li>Oversee all peer educators continually research current PrEP health information, LGBTQ friendly medical providers of PrEP in the DC area, and common insurance policies in the DC area and among trans women of color (TWOC) and men who have sex with men (MSM) of color</li><li>Promote PrEP outreach on social media</li></ul><strong>Requirements</strong>:<br />
Ideal candidate will have demonstrated cultural competency working with LGBT people of color, and specifically the transgender community.</p>
