Jamie Vardy of Leicester is set to have an extra ban for criticizing the referee, Jonathan Moss. And Andy Carrol of West Ham is considered to get a ban for the same reason. Nobody but the English FA think that these two player are out of the line with their critics. But they will be punished anyway.

And what will happen to Moss, who many thinks had ruined the Leicester City vs West Ham match? Nothing. The FA will let him go.

Here I am thinking that football is a modern game. Obviously, it is not. You are not allowed to speak up against the FA and their officials. I mean, you may criticize your president, or your prime minister or the UN General Secretary. But don’t you dare to criticize the FA, or you will be executed.

Perhaps footbal is just a barbaric game with barbaric rules, in modern world.

The evidence is there for all to see. Three La Liga losses in a row since the international break, the last one was the defeat against Valencia 1-2 at home last night, and also failed to reach the Champions League semi-finals. What has happened at Barcelona?

Tired legs, says football experts. I don’t think so. I think they have lost their motivations. When did it start? Well, I’d say since Johan Cruyff died during the international break. I can feel that you guys are raising your eyebrows now.

After seeing Liverpool’s performance against Dortmund, I think the Reds would be able to beat the Yellow Subs. It won’t be easy though.

I think Madrid will beat City and go to the final in Milan. But perhaps Pellegrini knows many of Madrid weaknesses, after being their manager a few years back. And Pellegrini has a lot of managing experiences with many clubs.

Borussia Dortmund scored twice inside the first 10 minutes of the game last night. Liverpool fans were stunned. It was too easy for Dortmund. No way Liverpool could comeback from this, I said to myself.

The Reds did it once. They were three goal down in Istanbul against AC Milan. The stage was bigger, the Champions League Grand Finale. Rafa Benitez’s Liverpool managed to equalize before the final whistle, and won the shootouts.

Such luck doesn’t come to the same team twice, I said to myself last night. Of course Liverpool fans had different opinion. ‘We did it once, we can do it again’, that’s what they must have said to themselves last night. And my God, they were right!

Jurgen Klopp’s team scored 4 times against Dortmund in second half, and the Klopp’s old team could only add a single goal during the same period. Liverpool cruised to Europa League semi-finals.

Dortmund left in agony. They are a great football team, but Klopp knows them way too well.

Atletico Madrid forced the reigning champions Barcelona to bow out of Champions League football.

I knew this was going to happen after seeing Barca made three bad results in La Liga. A draw and 2 losses in a row mean Barca had lost 8 precious points in La Liga. And they haven’t be able to bounce back since.

Brave Atletico will face Manchester City in the semi-finals. I don’t see a reason why Diego Simeone’s side couldn’t make it to the final.

Pep Guardiola’s Bayern Munchen will face Zidane’s Real Madrid in the other semis. Should Bayern beat Madrid, I believe Pep would win his third Champions League title, and would have a wonderful farewell party with the Bavarians.

Experts said that Leicester’s 1-0 wins in five out of their last six Premier League football games were great. It shows the Foxes have the nerves of champions. They don’t get panicked and they can stay focused until the final whistle. Yup, I have to say they are awesome.

Now take a look at their fans, their die-hard fans. Do they think the same way?

Hell NO, they would say. The 1-0s were torturing them, especially in the final minutes of the game, when the opponents could have scored the equalizer, just before the final whistle. That would be painful. A fan with some heart condition shouldn’t be allowed to watch the Foxes games, live.

So far the fans’ suffering were rewarded with wins. But can Leicester City maintain their performances until the end of the season? That’s the big question.

‘Just relax, people’, Ranieri would say, with a big smile on his face. As ironic as their suffered fans might think.

Historically, Liverpool are bigger than BVB Dortmund, as they have won the Champions League in five different occasions. Dortmund have only one Champions League title which they got in 1997 after beating Juventus 3-1 in the final.

But the history means nothing today, because Dortmund were Champions League regulars until last season, who are dumped to Europa League this season. Liverpool, on the other hand,  have not been playing in Champions League football for quite some time.

As we all can see, Dortmund are a little bit too strong for Europa League regulars. Of course Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp knows everything about Dortmund inside out. But I doubt he can overcome his old team and move to semifinals.

Nonetheless, this match would worth seeing.  I expect a warm welcome from Dortmund faithfuls to Jurgen Klopp.

Real Madrid were drunk after beating Barca in El Clasico last weekend. They were too drunk to understand what had happened last night. In fact,  I think they are still drunk today because the toxic are still in their system.

Wolfsburg shocked the football world by beating Real Madrid 2-0 in the Champions League quarter-finals first leg last night, leaving Spanish giants in deep humiliation and agony. Nobody thought this could happen in reality.

But still, I think Madrid will be back and will beat Wolfsburg at least 3-0 in the return leg.

In the mean time, let Wolfsburg enjoy the headlines for a week.

The new French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain will host the new English League Cup winners Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals tonight. This should be an interesting match as both teams have a bulk of big names in football.

I think PSG will beat City and will go through to semi-finals. They are more consistent as a team than Pellegrini’s men. And Laurent Blanc must have rested and prepared his first team well for this match.
