I took my daughter to the Brickyard last night for our Daddy-Daughter date night. We were fortunate in that it was wing night. 40 cent wings and $2 off for any of the micro brews they carried.

The Brickyard Restaurant and Sports Bar located at 415 N Prince St in Lancaster is a great place to either watch your favorite sporting event on one of the numerous televisions are take your family for dinner. Located just a few blocks from the Clipper Magazine Stadium, it's and easy walk from the stadium to the restaurant after a Barnstormers game.

We were quickly seated. The hardest part of the evening was trying to decide which of the sauces we wanted on our wings. My daughter decided on the garlic parmesan while I ordered the spicy BBQ, Teriyaki and some Louisiana Smack just to spice up the evening.

I think the garlic parmesan were my favorite with the spicy BBQ in close second. The flavors of the garlic parmesan were present and delicious without being overwhelming. The BBQ sauce was thick, flavorful and messy. Just the way I like it.

The teriyaki was good but I didn't really get blown away. As I get older, I find that my preferences for "hot" is diminishing. The Louisiana Smack was definately cajun heat with flavor. I must say though, the wings had a good balance of heat and flavor, they just weren't my favorite thing.

This is my second visit to the Brickyard. Two things keep bringing back. The selection of microbrews available and the fresh food. The burgers here are some of the best in Lancaster. I noticed the buns were from a local bakery. The folks in the kitchen really know how to put together a great meal.

For a casual dining experience in Lancaster area, I would encourage you to grab a few friends and head to The Brickyard for good food and good drink with good friends.
