The Girls are 9-1 in conference and have only two games remaining in the season.&lt;br /&gt;---------&lt;br /&gt;The Central girl soccer team suffered a tough 7-0 loss yesterday to the Hill-Murray Pioneers, at Hill-Murray. The girls played hard and Hill-Murray was only up 2-0 at halftime, but the Pioneers pulled away in the 2nd half. This loss ends the girls season, but they come away with yet another conference title. &lt;br /&gt;--------&lt;br /&gt;At 3:30 the Central Minutemen football team will be riding lots of momentum from last weeks amazing overtime victory into the final game of the conference season against the Humboldt Hawks at Humboldt. The Hawks have not won a game since 2005. If the Minutemen get a victory they will win the conference title for the first time in 20 years.&lt;br /&gt;--------&lt;br /&gt;Last night the Central Girls Swimming and Diving team defeated the Johnson Governors 93-36. The Girls are still undefeated in conference and their next meet is on the 22nd against Como Park. &lt;br /&gt;--------&lt;br /&gt;(VID) The conference undefeated Minutemen soccer team won in a quarterfinal match yesterday against the White Bear Lake Polars, here at Central. The Minutemen won 1-0 with senior Sam Mann scoring the lone goal. Four Central graduates were honored for their personal and professional achivements during and following high school. The 2008 hall of fame inductees were Gary Ales class of 1958, Neal Amundson class of 1933 who's award was accepted by his son., Chuck Devet class of 1957, and Patricia Benton Johnson class of 1952. Each inductee gave an acceptance speech and reflected back on their high school experiences at Central. Here is Patricia Benton Johnson during her acceptance speech. Four Central graduates were honored for their personal and professional achivements during and following high school. With the tie the girls now stand at 8-0-1 in conference and still have a narrow lead over the Scots in the standings. The girls are currently first in conference play with a record of 7-0. Class will end at 12:00 and periods will be shortened. It won't be an early release for teachers however who will be attending staff development meetings.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;------&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On Friday night the Central Minuteman crushed their arch rival the Highland Scots 32-6, here at Griffin in the annual battle of the Musket. With this win, not only do the Minutemen move to 1st in conference, but they also take home the Musket for a fourth straight year. It was a big night for the Minutemen defense with two touchdowns of their own. Including a 34 yard interception by senior Dominic Jones, that he returned for a touchdown and two interceptions by Sam Butler one of which was also returned for a touchdown. "[The] team came out and they were very inspired and focused" said Coach Howell referring to how the team played on Friday night.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;(Cam3/Mic3)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Samuel Butler had a big game on Friday and was honored by being in the Star Tribune as a Friday Top performer. Samuel who is a senior had two interceptions including one for a touchdown. Good job Samuel!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;-------&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Yearbook pictures begin Thursday and Friday. Students will get their pictures taken with their social studies classes. Yearbook pictures and an ID picture are free. Seniors also need to have their ID pictures taken. Picture packets are available in advisories, the office, or room 420.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;------&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you are in Seeds of Change, tutoring and mentoring is available everyday in the black box.
