Photos from Haiti

Pastor Raoul has sent a large batch of photos from Haiti. There are many updated photos from 2009 in the Mission Gallery, and a new gallery of photos taken since the earthquakes.

Raoul has also written, "We certainly live on a day to day basis. We appreciate every prayer prayed for us and I can see life is very fragile. Everyday we get up in Haiti is so meaningful. Thank the Lord!"

When asked about a specific sponsored child, he reports that she "is fine but still disoriented, as are many children in our care, pray for them."

He closed his message saying, "Elsie is doing fine as well as the children. God bless you, and thanks for all the help you've been sending to us."

Relief Items Needed

The "crisis board for relief " at CFM is pleased to submit this request for assistance in this time of crisis and trouble to help the victims of the earthquake in our area. We are desperate for the following items in order to respond to the needs of the population.

Tents, food, clothing, medical supplies of all sorts, personal hygiene kits for about 16,000 families who have been hit by the earthquake in the following areas: Fort-Jacques, Sarthe, Grande-Savane, Duvier, Callebasse, Chambon, Francois, Duval, Greffin, Ocadet, Laleau, Mariaman, Fermathe, Duplan, Lascahobas, Lespinasse, and Leogane, etc.

The above mentioned items are completely or almost wiped out and the people are lacking every basic thing as survivors. The mission is advocating on their behalf for intervention to alleviate their situation. May God bless your endeavor as we await your prompt action.

Sincerely:
For the crisis board relief ,
Dr Raoul Liberis / Pres. Founder.

PS: The pastor of the Redeeming Word Christian Center, Dr. Ed Brinson, our mission sponsor church in Florida, is allowing us to receive all the items mentioned above at his church. We will then have to have containers to ship them to Haiti.

Here is the address:

REDEEMING WORD CHRISTIAN CENTER
Haiti Earthquake Update

January 17, 2010: The following are excerpts from an email from Pastor Raoul sent on Saturday, January 16:

Thank the Lord we are much better now however, my body still in pain. Elsie was not hurt and the children were not in Haiti.

Thank you very much for the love you have shown us. I don't think I will be able to tell you about all the situations now. However, I am going to tell you what I think I can remember.

I was in Petion-Ville, to have an oil change in our pickup, and all of sudden there was a terrible shaking. I was in the waiting room then it was four hours later I saw a lot of people in front of me trying to pull me out.

I thank the Lord that I am still alive and well under these circumtances.

It was terrible! There is still a lot of dead people around us the government still did not pick them up yet, pray for our health and safety.

Many of our church members died and many of those family lost all their immediate family.

Our orphanage building is badly damaged so the children cannot stay inside for long so we need to rebuild right away estimated cost is (18,000 us dollars)

The children are okay but very desoriented . One of our helpers had a cement block fall on her hip, she is in the hospital in serious condition.

Important..
The immediate relief funds needed right now for survival is in the amount of (55,000 us dollars)

Right now the total to rebuild all our damaged building including the home of our church members, the two churches, the orphanage and the mission headquater is amount to about (400,000 us dollars)

We can't began to tell you how difficult life is in Haiti right now.

As more updates come and we receive more details of the damage sustained and what is being done, the website will be updated.

Mission Update!

Dear friends around the world:

My trip to Michigan this past winter was great. I met so many friends, even though my trip was short, I enjoyed myself anyway. I was able to raise some finances to work on our new church facility.

There is still some hunger, we are in contact with the "U.N. World Food Program" to get help to feed as many children as possible in some of the school in our region.

We are trusting the Lord that the "WORLD FOOD PROGRAM" will give us a favorable answer. They will only provide food. Therefore, we need help to buy ustensils such as: POTS, PLATES, SPOONS, FORKS etc. to distrubute to the schools that are affiliates with our ministry school.

If you are able to help, our address is on the website. All your gifts are tax-deductible we are a 501-c-3 ministry in the U.S. and recognized by the Haitian gov.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

God bless you!

Dr, Raoul Liberis / Haiti- CFM
