Happy belated Easter! How you celebrate easter? I didn't celebrate easter but quite happy that so much creativity had been showing up everywhere, like craft, chocolate, cute eggs, and easter theme photos. I don't have easter theme pics to show you but i still have something to share from my journey.

We did a Singapore Nite Walk, just walked and walked around our backpacker hostel.

No special destination plan.

We had purchased MRT cards as well.

Incase we were in the mood to go more far.

That night had so much light, lines and squares.....

I don't really remember how is the sentence but there was this line that described how Heidi and Peter ( in Heidi story ) brought bread, butter and milk in the picnic basket on the mountain, and burried the milkbottle in the ground so it would get fresh cold. It has been staying in my imagination.
Are you a day person or night person? Night person because too much working overtime since doing school homeworks. Doesn't mean i'm okay with that.

The Start of The Trip

Hello, how are you? Finally i have chance to post. I have been being sick for weeks. A terrible flu followed by terrible cough and dizzy. I have been isolating my self from the tempting world out there. This is how i got this precious time to post. I did some visit to blogsphere sometimes but I couldn't respond or be active as often as before I went. ( I still owe a tagged post from a fellow blogger, sorry)

Okay, let me bring you a couple of time zone backwards, when this was all started. I had been in 4 train stations, 3airport, 3 train, 3 aeroplanes, 2 buses, 1 bajaj (scooter with 3 wheel in Jakarta), and one taxi to get to Yogyakarta from Austria. We are that kind of travel style. From cold weather Europe to hot and humid climate South east Asia. I didn't take a lot of photos in the first time, as we only tried our best to be on time:). Let's take a look...

Looking out from the bus window, on the way to Vienna Airport. I enjoyed this part. The bus run slowly especially when it was climbing up. For some moments I felt like tourist in round city trip. Inside was so warm and cozy. I could fall asleep instead of snap pictures. We were on time anyway. I still could sip a cup of hot choc in airport.

Roses, Heart and Vintages

11 days before my travel! I hope I could post one more time before I fly.

This is belated Valentine's Day post. Herr Marmot surprised me with a bucket of hybrid roses with a big red heart. I've never given roses before in my life (minus wedding) even i love them so much and had been tried and failed for many many times to grow them in my family's little mediteranean garden (really, very small). In any kind from bushes, big red one, one layer petal, white bourbon and whatever I could fine.

In our living space now, I have one place at the window to display lovely things arrangement. It's kind of installation art to me. In Jogja, Indonesia, i had this "altar" on spice kitchen cabinet (that was used for studio storage). So after I remove my new year display, I placed my last thrifting hunt, souvenirs, and memoribilias on that spot.

I didn't recognized the meaning behind his weird smile cause i was so concentrated in other things, till just my eyes happened to point on this new member of my display. Aha! Danke schön!

Do you know I had launched a new blog! It's just an eclectic snippets of clothes related, and perhaps would be also some out source inspirations :). Yea, I like clothes. I have no idea why I couldn't wait till I'm back from my 3 months travel.

Some Snowy Sights + Liebster Blog Award

Hi. 17 days left to fly back to my homeland....Mean while I have been so busy in the cold. Here some snowy sights of the town i live in.

Yellow buildings among the snow are like sun shine. Pastel yellow and pastel blue are cheerful but gentle best friends. I imagine baby room.

This was first heavy, dry, powdery snow in this winter 2011-2012 here. So late. Temperature around -16 to -10. I wore two layers of glove. One is not enough! Since i couldn't take photo with my mittens on my hands, i had to take one off. I run inside few seconds later as my hand was hurt so bad.

The first snow in winter, days before, was actually more like ice and the next day it was gone.

So here they came, sugar icing....It was the view from my window.

Our little castle from far looks dreamy in a weather like this

Before they put salt all over along the road. We drove like skating on wheel on fresh white snow.

Poor lovely roses...

Mind you, I haven't been long enough lived in snowy Europe. Oh snow...

Red Spots Vienna - Part 2

Red color in Vienna Part 2. From block to little stripe and a dot of beanie.

I really love the Hostel sign. I would like to hang nice word with nice font on color block and white frame. Perhaps on my door. Would be very catchy, no?

Red in Vienna is a nice visual appeareance as opposition of green and white. Yes, a lot of green there, especially metal construction and roof like Art Nouveau Hofpavillon Hietzing ( old posts 1, 2 , 3 )

The temperature drops to minus here in Austria. About average minus 9 to minus 19 on the higher land. I saw on the news as usual. It was below minus 30 in Siberia and even Turkey had a very thick snow. Some people had been died because of this cold temperature. So if you are somewhere there, take care and don't leave your warm house without enough clothing.

Tips from me: I bring handwarmer as my hands are easily freezing. I was one day putting my hand above the garden lamp of somebody's house to save my hands when I was taking a walk. I didn't touch it of course.

Vienna Red Spots - Part 1

Today I want to show you my collection of color serendipity in Vienna. Red and white, beside Austrian flag. Enjoy!

I saw this red and white mainly appear on vehicle. Like ribbons in a gift wrap.

You may agree, red is the good color for statement. I think it's a Latin. I have no idea what it means. I have translated via google and it said "...friends for woman, woman" (do you know what it's all about?). I forget what building i took the photo of. Sorry.

So one of blogger friend just told me that it was Hungarian, and she was so sweet to help me, as I am now getting curious. So I googled it again and it was said: "flower until the flower". Was that so interesting ?! But I haven't had found the actual meaning.

I missed the moment when she was still wearing the viking hat.

Bus and Mini, did they look like brothers?

And of course, hot chocolate! Cafes in Vienna are nice. You can order one cup of coffee, read news paper, work on laptop, talk endless with somebody or just seat alone after you have finished your drink for a very long time.
The one above is my fave. It has cozy atmosphere with vintage interior. I love all the details.
That time was also my lucky day. Normally my husband will not let me eat a mountain of cream :) Horaay..mmm cream....

Up there on Schutzhaus Buchberg

Buchberg. Austria. We were climbed the spiral stairs up. At that time, we could see from the tower , landscape of around the area i live in when it was still covered with snow. It was pretty much like abstract art with the wickery shape of trees and colors that remind me of Egon Schiele's painting, one of artist whose works i adore. Note about the artist: he had been arrested in the town i live and we had his painting there.

I wore my husband's sailing jacket instead of hiking anorak. Yes it was huge but it worked pretty well, since it was so windy. It was windproof, the high colar protected my neck and a lot of warm air trapped inside.

As you can see these place full of beautiful woodcraft.

I would like to jump in the caravan after, but it was not ours. caravan and old wooden tower did look good together.

Casa Cantoniera was Red, Shabby and Snowy

We passed the pine woods scene, sporty people that were cross-country skiing, and my eyes was attracted to the blood red, shabby and snowy little house. I had couldn't read what was written on the board except of "Casa Cantoniera". Oh how i love when it was in snowy winter like that. It had the perfect color scheme! The red reminds me of Swedish red wooden house, which i adore. It was so rich with pretty details and textures that i was instantly inspired. Oh did you see a tiny bell on the door?
I supposed to think that this house was abandoned, which I think some faded and broken pieces add soulful touch to its appearance. But as I noticed a pile of firewood which looked newly stocked up, maybe there was some human life going on inside.

What is your favorite color for being bold and beautiful on a snowy day?

Crossing Border Tyrol - South Tyrol and a Break News

PS: Don't you know there was freaky snowing in African desert? I saw the news on TV.

Coffee and hot chocolate..nyumm. It was still Austrian Heisse Shokolade, not yet as thick and melty super delicious Italian Cioccolata which more like a pudding.

Cute crafty Toilet signs in Deutsch, Italian and English.

I think it was Alps, not Dolomites. I am a little bit confuse. Buth both are incredible sculpture on earth.

Snow icing? Cake...

Cross-country skiing ....i would like to try this one more than skiing.

And would you mind to forgive me for showing my purple hair that day. Smile! :)

And unfortunately, i have another things that i would like you lovely people to forgive me for. I feel like lately my blog has lost focus and i keep changing my lay-out. If you have recognized, maybe some of you were bothered of it and that i might not look professional. But here i learn to blog along as I am blogging. So hope i can be more focus, back to it's original content as a photoblog. That's why i am thinking about making special blog for my another muse like focusing on personal style, outsource inspirations, and another social networks account special for giveaway i enter, lol. That's the reason too behind re-layout of my blog for its best. The problem is, it may take long as at the end of next month i will travel to my homeland (! :)) for 3 months. I have no idea if i will have internet connection or even time to blog, plus that i will not only stay in my hometown. So now it will be an early excuse as well, that starting end of February i may take a blog break. But I am optimist enough to comeback with interesting souvenirs from Indonesia! Country of thousand islands and ethnicities. Does it sounds worth to wait for?

Austria. We walked and walked and found a little palace with snowy mountain in its background. It was empty but it was not abandoned. I wish i could meet the owner to ask permission for the photos and photos of the interiors. I always imagine and wonder after i see beautiful building, how's life inside and related to. I love the washed pain and sun clock with rough plants in winter time.

ps: today was the first snow in our town, and it happened to be the first time i decided a name for my new upcoming personal style blog. :)

I guess this photo of me is by Mike instead by my self.

January 2010 we were in Lienz, visiting our friends in other town around, Hohe Tauern National Park, and continued to Udine, Cividale, Trieste, Venice, in Italy and Slovenia. So this town was one drop shop of our trip. I love the arty windows, old buildings with curvy top and cute souvenirs.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This is my first new year in this blog. And instead of fireworks photos like in my old blog here, i show you some photos of silhouette and light. Hope you can catch the meaning behind these theme. I was so thoughtful in the last days about my life. This year was a huge change for me. Same as it was after i lost my dad in 3th of January 2003.

I want to lie down in the gloomy dark room, feel all the presence and existing life trace around me. And then i will see light like a jolly hope. You know, like the famous "there is a light at the end of the tunnel".

I remember my dream long ago, that i was drown in the sea, and trough this strange bizarre surrounding i saw light coming lighter and lighter above. Have you had also this kind of dream?

What is your big plan these 2012? Do you believe in the 2012 catastrophe? I...I have plan to make a personal style blog :). Oh yes despite i really do it or not, that what has been included badly in my musing beside about life.. Then what important too is my trip to my beloved homeland! I love what i saw that day. I had passed this house couple times. And still this vintage sewing machine was there outside trough different seasons. I like how the display of its companion. Old metal, wood, earth potteries, concrete, square, circle, trapezium, all together on the textured wall as a background.

Braided and Curl

My friend braided my hair and i wanted to keep it this way my for few days. Unfortunately I couldn't maintain it even for just one more day. I slept with headache. So i opened it and i got this curls as a result. So i worked on this captures, i applied my new Photoshop recipe i made last night to create a ghost pale and matte look of my face!

I like old building. Yellow and washed by sunlight. Specially with geometrical frame around its windows..

Another yellow wall in foggy icy cold morning...its window covered with branches.

Love the textures of ice on the falling leaves. Like sugar powder on cake. No?

It's not snowing yet in town i live. It has been around two weeks late if i compare it to last year. On the other side of the globe at my warm homeland Indonesia, there was Total Lunar Eclipse that occurred on 10 December 2011. I wished i was there.

I don't feel so good today so i will entertain my self with watching singing competition on TV:) My husband baked a cake (which for me it was bread) for the first time with our microwave. It was burned to black but tasted delicious. Congratulation! So bye bye now and wish you all feeling super great!

Back to now, it hasn't been snowing yet, but i have could smell it from the breeze. Forecast said it may snow next week. Anyway, lights are twinkling, blinking and glittering anywhere. Except that the Stephansdom renovation had been finish, the view of Vienna today was quite the same as seen on my previous photographs.

Treasures....

Winter! Have you been starting to look for gifts? I visited big flea market in Tulln . Pretty plenty of pretty discoveries. I had been looking for winter boots and black warm gloves for weeks (and dreaming since years:)) when i found them there, in leather! And clean, very good condition. My long time searching is over. Fiuuhh ....But a bit strange since i didn't take pics of those treasures. Maybe next time when i wear them. But instead, i had snapped some of another amazing treasures. Vintage items were amazing. That place was really entertaining my hunger of inspirations. I still have hidden items that I'll post another time too.

I just finished my German B1 exam. Es war eine Katasthrophe! I was extreme nervous. Do you know how bad it could be? Now I'm pretty anxious with the result. After that Prüfung i was like stunned and hangover. But anyway thank you for all best wishes:). If i pass, it would be my wonderful gift!

Yeah...thankyou for every lovelies that had visited my blog! I would love to visit and follow you back, as usually my reader also a great inspirating.

Weather is colder and colder. But for few minutes up on the hill, the sun was so warm that enough for me to have just sweater. Normally i would have needed my thick bubble coat. I would like to have vintage or minimalist bold 50s look, but i always end up wearing my sporty outfit.

Even i didn't expose my outfit, i will let you know. My baby blue sweater is from UCB, and my pastel green jumper is from Tommy Hilfiger. Coat from Pimkie. All was gift from my sister :) (Yes, I am a recycle bin.) My wide leg jeans (that is too long i admit, i would say it will look georgeus for tall woman) is from Miss Sixty. All is not new stuff, so you will not see in their store. My scarf is from H&M.

My frozen dizzy head is working hard for my next B1 German exam. In the same time my not unlimited internet connection is running out. So i leave you now with a lot of Fall leaves in this photos. Enjoy your weather, wish me success for my exam and wish you all a wonderfull week. See you!

I like this town. Full of old building and details from corner to corner. Such pleasing my eyes. I feel homy in every place that reminds me of our old house in Jogja, my hometown in Indonesia.

Some are still greeny....but i love the mixed colors with green. I love the sunflare washed my face, spotted the back of the leaves made them glowing like lantern. How are your fall colors, how is your fall sunflare?

I just came home from Foto & Adventure Exhibition, watched tons of diashows, I had travelled around the world with! So I'm going to have a rest now, i've been dizzy ( i had forgotten my head problem, oh oh ...)
