Spring Floral Photo Cocktails (with photo edit tips)

Still from our full bloom spring (was officialy still winter) yard. Actually, the yellow flowers have been replaced by dandelions and little purple cones-like flowers. I was sadly surprised because I was just about to take some pictures of them when the gardener had been doing the lawn so they are all gone now, nothing but a flat square of grass. Too late. Here the rest of beauties from our yard.

Photo edit tips: when I have photos with a boring background, sometimes I mix-layer it with another photos. It is not ment to fake a double-exposure technique. I just play around as I like, erase some part, or add more elements until desirable effect is achieved. The result examples are the 4 first photos above.

Spring Flowers Collages (Photo Edit Tips)

Photo Pimp Up Tip - Kaleidoscopes Collages

One of tips that I like to edit and play around with my photos is making the photo looks like kaleidoscope. Basically in the photo editor software of my choice, I copy one picture several times, flip up or down the copies, connect them in a row and repeat a set of row to form a pattern.

Further more, I sometimes combine it with layering technique to make it look like very complicated picture which I sometimes prefer. I add some elements from another photos and then play around with the transparency. This way I can pimp my outfit photos for example, which I often take in front of the same wall over and over again.

These are photos from early Spring (=last month). By the time it's Summer maybe I still share you photos from this April hehehe. Lately it has been raining almost everyday and too bad I have been being sick since before the Magnolias time! Unbelievable. It's nasty kind of cold that started with sore throat, canker sore, body ache, then running nose and now cough and sneezing marathon every morning.

The river has been renovated to have more natural meanders. It's more beautiful then before. There are some spots or point of views which are like surreal. I just wish the bridge would be more in antique style or more artistic. It's a nice meandering day. The First Spring Bulbs

First spring bulbs have popped out in our back yard, just below our window. They about a month earlier than official start of the spring date. Hallo Spring!

I step just amongst them with my fave ugly shoes.

As a little girl I believed Thumbelina was somewhere there, so as tiny fairies.

The purple crocus are so cute

Can't wait a little bit longer to see them spreading covering the lawn.

The weather now is actually feels like it has been spring already. My small town has had only few days of snow this year. I'm kind of missing it. Throwing back to old snowy winter memory, here I found the day when I and Mike took a little walk around the castle. It has become ritual in every season. Juhuu. I just won a silver heart from The Jeweller giveaway (no, it's not a post about the product). I've never actually really celebrate Valentine's day and I'm very bad in making romantic surprise or alike but I like if I have it from somebody I love hahaha. This is from a shop and a tiny sparkling gift is pretty lovely.

By the way, I am going to post about the necklace in my style blog. I finally decided to continue running two blogs. Crazy to me, since I am not consistent enough in running this one photo blog. What was I thinking....Ahhh, I just want to enjoy, having fun and let it flow...with my own rythm.

Chocolate heart on the milky foam

The bakery always gives me a chocolate heart on the milky foam. My morning in Simhofer involved croissant, chococcino and free public internet. Did you notice my screen? I've never peeled off its packaging plastic cover and I put a protection cover over my keyboard :)). A little trace of my OCD symptoms in the past.

I barely drink coffee since overloaded my self with instant sweet cappucino during my final project in the institute. However I enjoyed Chococcino ofcourse because of its chocolate mix. My husband use to drink espresso. Verlängert or melange. Hehe, I've never remember what's the meaning and difference. Two different coffees, two different characters, two hearts...together.

I have some more hearts founds but I'll keep it for next time. Cause I am having a little problem in my throat again, I am going to mix my milk and turmeric remedy right now. Before that, I'm sending my love to all my family and friends and much LOVE to you too. Have a wonderful Valentine's day and..super inspired!

Film Casino, Vampire, Vintage and Eclectic Inspiration

Last month my husband and I watched the vampire film Only Lovers Left Alive in Film Casino, Vienna. I think it is the perfect place for this film. On the facade are big neon sign (Looking at this sign I thought it was a casino instead of cinema) and pretty doors with brass color handles. The interior is kind of vintage with eclectic elements, clashing patterns, textures, and geometries. Stripes meet curves, floral meets fauna on the red terasso floor (our outfits add more into the mix too). I couldn't find more information about the building though. It has only one cinema room, not so big and we kept our heads up to watch the film played on the not so big screen because the floor is flat. As petite me, I saw heads in front of me covered up part of the screen which were a little bit annoying.

When we arrived the lobby was empty. There is a little cafe at the corner with a big cowhide couch (on the photo above). A couple of minutes later, after just had been flipping trough magazines, suddenly I found around me had been being floaded with people and even more crowded when we walked out from the cinema room. I looked down and I saw a lot...a lot of feet with different shoes. I heard people talking without I could understand what they were talking about, but I just kept looking down, following my husband's feet walking. It was too crowded for a small lobby. I didn't take capture the room and those feets unfortunately.

For me the film was like gloomy, eccentric, and toughtful. While I was watching the movie untill walking out trough crowd, I was wondering. Are there real vampires amongst these people around me? How if my stare hit a pair of those pointy glossy well polished shoes, then when I follow along the figure up, I see a pale face with a charming mysterious smile and a pair of cute canines? The haunting thought after watching Only Lovers Left Alive matched the atmosphere in the Film Casino. "Excuse moi...," Adam and Eve said before bite a couple. Some people behind me also said that.

My Father The Painter

I usually don't expose the people in my personal life (except blur or cropped pic of my husband) on the blog but today I want to introduce website and facebook page of my father: Fadjar Sidik. He was a fine art artist, a painter.

My father passed away at January 18 8.10 PM 10 years ago. He took his last breath in my mother's arm and my witness. Years passed but to this day I am still struggle with the grief, almost secretly. It gives a feeling of irony every new year. He was my best friend and inspiration. His contagious enthusiasm and the motivating effect are remarkable. He was always enthusiastic in things I was interested in and whatever I told him just almost about anything. I mean...no one else would watch runway show on TV with that early teen of me and talked about minimalism in the 90s except him. That is my father I know as a father but what about as an artist?

At the other part of the globe in my homeland, Indonesia, my eldest sister Amreta has been going trough a very special and personal journey collecting memory of our father and his life as an artist while at the same time it was a journey rediscovering her self. As a part of this journey, she has traveled to Bali few times in the past months (a place which has significant meaning in our father's art), digging trough hundreds or maybe thousands of photos, clippings, sketches, doodles in our home in Yogyakarta. Furthermore she creates a website (officially launched this 18th January) and facebook page dedicated to memory of our Fathers, his life in art and her journey. I invite you to check them out:

Belated New Year

Belated New Year post. It's my first post of 2014. Our Silvester night was foggy. We went up the hill just near our home to see enormous fire works springing up and out of landscape but we could only see few of them creeping trough the fog. They looked beautiful tough, in different way. The light from the car driving up the hill was like sunrise bringing hope into the darkness of no where. At least that was what I had in my imagination! Perhaps foggy new year is a good sign. We ended up watching Dinner for One and had a good good laugh...same as every year!

In case you haven't known Dinner for One (The 90th Birthday) that never failed to make me laugh every end of the year, here it is. I never feel boring watching this once a year. It's originally 1963 British Comedy that somehow becomes like tradition as film to watch at New Year night in Austria and Germany.

Selfies and Blogging Thought

Scroll this pic up and down and you would see it's like animation, like an optical illusion.

It has been a month since my last post. My photos of my last trip in Salzkammergut have not made their way to my photoshop. Instead, I show you these selfie experiment. :). Actually I did the photos just for testing my red lipstick. The first red lipstick I bought ever! Lol.

The original photos are crappy, taken with old Canon pocket camera. I'm glad the background are dark. However, I won't show you that, because i don't want you see our messy room (I don't mind my raw terrible skin and bad hair day). I like to apply matte color effect on the dark background I did similar to my other photos, See my past post here. I made it with playing around the exposure adjustment layer in Photoshop.

If you scroll the last photo up and down, you may see the faces become animation. Probably it will work that way better if I make the picture longer.

About the animated gif photo above, I made it with online gif maker gickr.com. Easy peasy. This is first time I make animated gif. :) There are a lot of online gif maker in the internet. This one is unfortunately only make maximum 450 px wide.

About me lately.

I get terrible cough with nasty phlegm after seating in the cafe full of smoke. Three days in a row, three different cafes. Anyway, we tried different cafes and found the one with "buy two pay one" pizza during happy hour. :)

Won tickets to Natalie Dessay and Michel Legrand concert in Konzerthaus Vienna in Sunday night! Yaaayyy! I am not sure to go in this bad cough condition but we have decided to go. I try to figure out how to not cough during the show or it would be an awkward and annoying disaster!
My friend in high school uploaded old photo on facebook of us (friends of the same class), when we went to our English teacher to celebrate her birthday. Hahaha the glorious 90s. It made my day.
My husband and I are addicted to Manner wafers, Austrian snacks. Chocolate covered hazelnut waffers. It's hard to stop once we eat one! In SPAR supermarket it's now in discount price.

We attended Art and Antique exhibition in Hofburg, Vienna, Vienna Time (watches exhibition) and Design 2013 in MAK Vienna (free entry), Photo and Adventure in Messe Wien (Vienna), where we tried to win the GoPro camera, but we didn't win. Too bad! As information, there's Robot exhibition in Vienna till 8 December that I would like to see.

One more cafe we found in Haus der Musik, Vienna. It is a self service so basically it's just like public snack and coffee machine with seats around. It also has free wifi. The hot chocolate tasted even better than the usual one in another cafes.

About Blogging.

Yes. I didn't update for a month. I took blog break often. I reappeared and I said I'm back to blog, then soon after that I disappeared back to break. I don't know how to explain. I simply confuse. My enthusiasm is there, but I just don't make a move to make it happen. I did browsing though. I read and commented on some blogs, but I missed replying my own blog comments! They are not a lot, but incase one of them is you and you expect that I'd get back to you, I'm sorry. I am also more active in instagram (@chachamisu) because it's practical. Actually I've been pondering over this. It's in my thought now, what I would do with my blog. A flash from my brainstorming are:

About what I blog about. I've merged my fashion blog Naty Ponders into this one, in hope that I would be more productive. Turns out, when it should be more time and energy, it doesn't work like that. Solution, perhaps, I would back to multiple blogs, though one blog can content different things but I think now I know what suits to photoblog or other blog. Hmm...do I?

About the time and schedule. Solution, I think I would just let it how it is and not force my self. If I have something to post, than I post. If not, then I don't post. Could be twice a week, once a month, or still taking blog breaks often. I want to learn more about my own rhythm. Blogging is not the only thing I like to do, but I do enjoy it.
About writing. I think I loose my writing skill. Like...seriously. I didn't say my writing skill was good either, but I just feel that it's getting worse. In the past I could write a mini story along with my photo or poetry. Now...I have no idea. My language, grammar my verbal are a mess. English, German, Indonesian are all mixed in small amount of each! Maybe even Javanese too. Solution....I don't know yet, just keep learning. Should you notice typos, feel free to correct or give suggestion, I would be very thankful. :) I sometimes skip checking my grammar. I try to let my voice out naturally just like in casual everyday life chat.

Final words about this....I'll keep blogging even how confusing it could be. I'll keep learning and experimenting even my blog will as well reflect my confusement too! .Now I wonder if you're confuse reading this. I'll let you know if I have significant change about my blogging.

Traveling Wels - Salzkamergut Austria Lately...Some Parts with Some Tips

Hi, everyone! I had been on traveling, road trip forth, back and around in Wels and Salzkamergut. We had internet with a speed of Sloth. You know, that animal that moves very slow, look so cute and harmless. Anyway, I have been keeping update on my instagram @Chachamisu, Tumblr, Twitter and Facebook (which are linked to each other). I had to pass a lot of photos from few days before. May be I'll share them in the future if it's okay not to be always actual. :))

Have you had travel, road trip lately or a little walk perhaps? I love it in Indian Summer Autumn season. The colors are incredible but the weather is not yet so cold. It's my fave time of the year.

So here are my instagram photos from the start of my road trip especially for you who prefer to see them here on my blogspot blog with some tips along!

Start of the trip. It was after 7.30 n the morning and still dark.

On the road the full moon was at our front and the sun rise at our back at the same time!

In Wels we stayed at our fave youth hotel Jugendherberge Alter Schl8hof which full of graffiti/murals around it. It maybe the cheapest accomodation, clean and nice. It has dormitories, double bed rooms, public kitchen and perfect location near the expo centre.

In Wels we attend Caravan Salon and chasing dream of a trip with mobile home like this. Lol. It's even better than our appartment.

In Wels there is also lovely animal garden (mini zoo) with black swans, running free peacocks etc. The best part is: it's free entry! High recommended also for family with kids.

From Wels, along the road to Gosau the autumn views were totally breathtaking. I shouln't fall asleep! Awesome autumn colors of the leaves and foliage covering the mountains, creek....hmmm I love autumn nature.

In Gosau we stayed at Alpen Hut that maybe also the cheapest accomodation especially if you become member of Alpenverein. The whole beautiful traditional style house for only us two (it can accomodate more people).

In Bad Ischl we visit Kaiservill a, that was the summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth of Austria. It is beautiful but not allowed to take pictures inside.

Saving holiday/travel tips: look around where there are brochures in supermarket, cafe, or information centre of your destination (and around) for discount and promo. We found in supermarket brochures of buy two pay one entry tickets for a lot of nature park, museum, boat tour and another tourism sites.

I wore a plaid coat dress from Mango, velvet legging and beret beanies from H&M. Boots belonged to my mother in law (RIP). The Indian Summer sunshine was so hot so it was too warm outfit :).


One complex area in Kaiservilla is also photo museum. In this time of the year where the dry autumn leaves were hanging down its iron vintage patio it looked like a beautiful yet mysterious ghostly palace.

DIY Using Sunglasses Lenses as Photo Filter

Few days ago I did a little experiment with Firmoo sunglasses. I used the lenses as photo filter. It was easy peasy and not that I invented it, you may have already known. Easy and fun as I always bring sunglasses when I am out under the sun.

The lenses I used were brown tinted lenses. I used pocket camera Canon Power Shot A720 IS. Oldie but goodie (bought in fleamarket). I had no rules except put the lens in front of the camera lens and ta daaaaa. I enjoyed the unperfect effects, the blur of the frames, reflection of something or light streaks. I had some experiments with other lenses and so far brown tint is what I like most. Here are some of the results, with and without lenses.

Oh by the way, I remember Beautiful Mess blog had made photo filters with plastic sheet, draw or color something on the sheet with marker and it's also interesting. Maybe I could try or combine with my glasses sometimes later.

Coba coba eksperimen menggunakan lensa brown tint kacamata sebagai foto filter. Ga pakai aturan khusus tinggal pegang aja lensa kacamata depan lensa kamera. Mau miring, agak jauhan, bingkainya kelihatan, de-el-el. Biarkan hasilnya jadi kejutan. Saya sendiri suka hasil efek ga sempurna seperti pada kamera toy. Menurut saya efek yang dihasilkan dari lensa kacamata brown tint ini paling cocok buat pemandangan dan suasana musim gugur atau gaya tempo doeloe. Saya sudah coba juga menggunakan jenis lensa kacamata yang lain tapi sejauh ini saya paling suka dengan brown tint. Beginilah contoh hasilnya; foto tanpa filter dan dengan filter. Scroll down...:)

I've known these pretty fuchsia colors flowers as a little girl in Indonesia. I and my girl friends pinched them until became like wet pulp and put them on our nails for few minutes to color our nails.

I personally think brown tint sunglasses lens suit for autumn view.

I like the unperfect effect of the sunglasses frames or reflection of something..I don't know really what has made the horizontal streak.

By the way, I like the plaid blazer with elbow patches that woman was wearing.

Hi, I'm back, and it's October already!

Few weeks ago I won a pair of sunglasses from Firmoo. The giveaway was at Chocolate Sarcasm blog. These sunnies instantly won my heart as I've been wearing them almost everyday! Thanks Firmoo and Sianna!

Lately I had problem with my eyes. I can't read, work on my computer or watching something moving for long time. Oh, that's baaaaaad. I don't know what has happened. I also got sudden bad wrinkles (not the aging gracefully ones) and nasty syringomas (little benign papules like milias but from overgrowth of sweat duct). I got frustation! Though...I feel terrible complaining again and again about my series of unfortunate events in my blog, hehehe. Sorry sorry. Sei dank, my sight is better now.

Thus..anyway...won a pair of sunglasses is absolutely a good lucky thing!

I choose these #FS04 Brown Acetate with brown tint sunglasses from Firmoo Classic Series. Unfortunately the same model has been unavailable anymore. There are similar frames available and a lot more various styles you may want to check them out at Firmoo.

Wearing them for more than a week already, here is my review.

COMFORT. Yes! If not then they can be my fave right now. It's most important thing. I prefer acetate material right now cause it's more light and comfortable for me. I don't feel pressure on my temples. I have metal frame round sunglasses also from Firmoo that I like the look so much but as time goes by I rarely wear them cause the plastic or acetate ones are more comfy. See my old post here.

LOOK. Classic, look like Ray Ban Wayfarer, with clear brown slightly tortoise acetate frames, they are very easy to pair with various outfits. The lenses are not as big as I thought but I think they suit me ....haha what do you think?

FUNCTION. At first I wasn't sure they have UV filter cause on the site it was only mentioned tint and there were advance options with cost addition. I wrote to Firmoo and they answer my question and confirmed that the lenses have UV filter already. If you are still not sure you can bring them to your optician. Anyway, I have worn them under the sun and they're great in reducing glare.

One more function: the lenses can be a fun effect filter for photos! See photo below as teaser cause more about this would be in one of my future post! Note: I didn't edit this photo except resize and put a tiny watermark.


Using sunglasses lenses (brown tint) as photo filter

ADDITIONAL. I like that if you buy sunglasses at Firmoo they always come with hard case, soft shell pocket case, cleaner cloth, some screw spares and even a mini screw driver which also a key chain so they put my anxiety of my own carelessness a little at ease. (Gee...I copy paste few words from my past Firmoo review :)).

SERVICE. I think Firmoo has a good service. Pretty fast delivery (sorry I am lazy doing the math for more details right now), updating process and order status on your account, replying my questions on facebook and e-mail. They also have online feature to try the glasses virtually, community, examples on users, and there are a lot of reviews about on the internet.

More to say...again, I wrote this review not because they asked me nor I'm affiliate but because I often search for reviews of various things or products my self so sharing this maybe it could be useful for somebody else.

The Famous Combo Tee & Jeans (Thrifted Levi's Boy Jeans)

Casual jeans plus tee plus colors and smiley :).

Hi everyone! How are you? Did you have a nice Monday? How is your outfit today?

On this post I have same outfit as last time: The Famous Combo for a Lot of Us: Tee and Jeans. Only at this time I give a little closer look to my Levi's jeans. A little review of what I thrifted in Pfennig Bazaar Stuttgart, Germany (would be in October this year, you may want to google it if you happen to be in Suttgart and would like to go there). Kid size 14! As I am petit...I always dive in girl and even boy department when shopping :). This Levi's has a boyfriend look and kind of skater pants. Probably I look like a kid as well but it's very comfy that I can live in it for a very long time if not because of summer sweat and fleamarket dust and dirt that I finally have to change. Inside is something different on the waist line with Levi's urban graphic design and it has adjustable waist band so I can make it tighter. The hem lines and some spots have been ripped and distressed that make even better look but I just let it naturally.

With this kind of wide leg oversized jeans (even it's kid size) I have to tuck my top in or probably wear a crop top because if don't do that somehow it doesn't look good. Besides, I still have to find out how to style it in a more mature look. I wish this jeans would be a little bit more like Jane Birkin style too. Hehehe. Any tips?

The graphic tee is from Zara Trf collection :). I admit it was a gift from my sis and I have worn that on my old fashion blog Naty Ponders. It's also very comfortable, the viscose fabric is cool, it falls nicely and I like the graphic that for me it looks like a melting sun!

Cafe Day

Wearing graphic tee, Levi's skater jeans, Claire's glasses, C&A socks, Cube bags and LdiR Moka moccs.

When new magazines have arrived at the cafe every Friday, it's time to have a lovely simple treat kind of my day. A cafe day! Seat and read for hours, not even a lot of chat :). I mostly see pictures than read, and my husband is a cup of coffee and newspaper guy. In the hot summer I would normally order one scoop fruity sorbet (with pieces of real fruit in it), one scoop coconut ice cream and one scoop of etc ice cream, most often walnut. Then, I wouldn't mind to have a jumbo cup of hot green tea! Hot tea in the hot summer wakes me up!

In the end, we would think very hard to solve sudoku puzzles. I would also look for 5 differences between two look alike pictures. My fave puzzles. :)

This is my kind of simple lovely day. Perhaps one of, besides little strolling, movie at home, sleeping, picnic in the backyard.... How is your simple day treat would be like?

Bat Wings, Levi's, Moccasins, Wandering, and Ice Cream

Hi everyone...!

I made quite effort to stand on these woods with my sick leg but I am proud I made it!

In wandering jeans

This is the second combo (see preview post for the first combo) with my bat wings top, or kimono sleeves top, Emi from Emi Doll blog said last time. Kimono sounds lovely.

We had a walk trough the woods while at the same time I was testing my moccasins in this terrain. I didn't want to wear shorter bottom cause I felt bugs tend to bite me! I also gain weight on my bottom part that for a surprise I found some of my pants didn't fit anymore. Well, so I just grabbed this Levi's. It's thrifted in Pfennig Bazaar in Stuttgart last year, and I think it's a boy/kid jeans. Kind of skater style but maybe I'll share you more about another time. I had told my self not to wear this type of pants anymore. I wanted to look more mature, taller, lean and elegant but hahaha...guess what my natural instinct. Anyway...this outfit was comfy and I think the fabric of my top is draping so it didn't look very bulky but I don't know how other eyes see it. My husband didn't mind.

If you think it's weird, guys, feel free to tell me in the comment. I'll be okay with it. I put the photo of my previous outfit in instagram and facebook and a friend said me with my bat wings top and the way I posed looked like I was a flag! Hahaha, lol I think it's right :)). August 17th is my home country's Independence Day, so Happy Independence Day Indonesia! I can't imagine how my life would be if this day had never happened!

We also went to our fave cafe in our town. I ate my fave combo of ice cream as well: coconut, walnut and a sorbet (this time was apricot). What is your favorite triple ice creams combo?

And...yup, my feet in LdiR Moka Avorio moccs as usual since I've been a tester. I am not asked to write about my testing on blog nor paid so if I sound like promoting these lovely shoes it's because I like them and even with their flaws, I simply want to share review to you cause maybe somebody just need it. Before I go, about Pfennig Bazaar in Stuttgart, it would be there again October this year, my sister said. It was awesome as I saw Jil Sander pant for 4 Euros in the first day, Juicy Couture velvet jacket, vintage velvet dress, leather coat, etc, (I didn't buy all what I just mentioned :)) and in the last day there was 5 Euros for a big paper bag in which you can throw clothes you want to buy as many as they can fit in.

Now I will go to sleep. Take care....

Coral Bat Goes Laundry

Hi, everyone! How's your day?

We went to laundry in the next city and we had pretty minutes waiting. I was bored playing the same game on my phone. My husband read Perry Rhodan, his famous science fiction book. Aha...I brought my pocket cam so you bet what I did. Striked the pose and took outfit selfies. Hahaha. I swear the pose was as natural as possible. Well, I thought the colors of laundry room suited my look. Oh, I had tried to sleep too putting my head down on the table, but it didn't work. :) After laundry we went to some places but I don't have chance to take photos that much.

So it's outfit of the day!

I had pretty fun time because I could turn my self into an orange bat. Actually, it's more like coral color. Its viscose fabric is light and cool, perfect for summer. It's oversize than my normal size and It will fall on one side off tan shoulder and makes asymmetry look so I wore tank underneath. Uh, I like it that way. If there was a strong wind I would probably be blown away up like a kite! :)

I paired the bat with this skirt...how you call it...a skirt like this? Cargo skirt? I personally think it would be flattering if it was more skimming and defining the curve, but it's comfy and has big pockets anyway.... I like.

Oh...and of course...my moccs slippers Moka Aviaro from LdiR. If you missed my first (day one) and second (a week) test review posts here they are: first post, second post. I'm on the way to a month test review, so far I love them, haven't changed!

Next I would like to share to you how I wore the batwing top and moccs with my boy Levi's jeans (it's a boy, not boyfriend :)) walking trough the woods.

Lovely Walk: Sunrays, Vintage Houses, Roses and Goats

Beautiful small town stroll. Scroll down I have more!

Hi, everyone! It's big holiday in my homeland and I'm a little homesick every this time of every year. Missing especially my mom, my siblings, all family and friends, food (yes, special food!), and just the special atmosphere and tradition. I even miss my dad that has passed away more than 9 years ago. I am a home town girl at heart and loving family so much even it's not like what it may seem. ( Now I am singing Selena Gomez's Wizard of Waverly Place theme song: "Everything is not what it seems...." Yes, I love the series!).

It was Eid Mubarak but no matter what religion people have there in Indonesia it's big holiday and time for people to usually come home to their hometown, have reunion with old friends, forgive each other and cook special food! Some of them also wear special clothes and giving some money to the younger family members. I don't feel really well to talk or mention any religion in my blog but it's the same like when it's New Year, Christmas, Mothers Day or Independence Day, etc, I would like to say Happy Eid Mubarak to all people that celebrate it and I apologize for my faults. Maybe I have posted something that has hurt you in a way?

So that's what facebook is for. A lot of my family, relatives and friends are facebookers so it's kind of staying connected and celebrating via facebook! I wrote on my status thank you for it and I wish there will be already teleport app next year! Or the magic door of Doraemon perhaps (Japanese cartoon character which has magic pocket and magic door is a door you can go anywhere you want with it in seconds)!

For a little sense of celebration, my husband surprised me with a pot of chilly plant, with a lot of chillies already on them! i love super spicy food and hot chilly. I add chillies on my dish every day! I am excited to have my first chilly picking. :)

However, I like this small town, my home town now in Austria. It's like my sanctuary especially when I am mellow like that. There's not much going on here but it's enough for feet to have a lovely walk, my curious eyes to stroll around and always discover something beautiful.

Before next post with outfit and awkward poses, I share you lovely encounters from my wandering around in...June! Yes, my photos are not always actual. Well, photograph is capturing memories and freezing time. Because I have them edited when I made this post here, I'll post them now. They won't hurt. I even hope you like them!

It was a sunny day with beautiful sun rays, everything touched were glowing and the shadows made dramatic scenes. Old buildings are amazed me every time I pass by since 4 years ago I walked my feet in this town for the very first time! Some of them are like antique villas I saw in the movies. I saw roses which are still blooming lately too in the summer. Walked trough my fave alley I thought I had taken photos of it in four seasons but I can't find the photos. They would be nicely put together as collage! Oh, and of course the little castle from different view point now. On the way back we even met some cute goats. Greetings!

Hi everyone! Today you get photos, outfit and review in one post!

It's been a week and so far I'm happy with my Moka moccasins slippers (moccaslippers) from LdiR (L'Artigianno di Riccione). I'm in love with them already! Not only because I am a tester but because I really want to wear them! I've worn these lovelies everytime and everywhere I went. For strolling around town, along country roads and even a little hiking trough the woods! Slip my feet into them and go. Super easy chic!

During this week along with walking my feet out there in the hot hot summer I've taken photos of beautiful things (and some bloopers photos of me haha) to share with you. The plan is...one post at a time start with this one; strolling around our neighbourhood :).

Moccs and hydrangeas made my hot summer day! It's actually next outfit photo but I love this photo so much that I can't resist to share to you now and it fits with other hydrangeas and color theme here. I can show this photo again later hehehe. Also on my instagram already. I am redundant like that for lovely thing. :-) I have more, scrollllll.

It's the season of hydrangea flowers to bloom whose colors happened to match my outfit! From white and green their colors turned into fuchsia to bluish purple. Very pretty flowers! I think fuchsia matchs my ivory LdiR moccaslippers with silver details too, does it?

Two colors cat

A typical place for cat in my small town to take a nap is on a fench wall. Somehow it reminds me of Alice in Wonderland.

Cats were like everywhere in our neighbourhood and some of them were enjoying their lazy summer time. There was even a tiger on my husband's tee....seeee. It's one of tees he bought in Bangkok, 5 colors and this is the orange one i'd like to borrow cause i like the graphic. Orange tiger....rrrgh :)

Actually, this frame in the garden would be a cooler if we can see a more special view trough it like a framed painting.

So it was easy strolling with lovely encounters, lovely colors and of course lovely moccasin slippers. I love them already! Take a look at how my LdiR Moka moccaslippers have treated me.

Comfort and fitting.

The moccaslippers are very light and comfortable. The suede leather material is soft, nice feeling on the skin. Note that they have no inner lining.

One issue is when I was wearing trough the wood or country road where the pathway is uneven and gravelly, my heels often slipped sidewards. My feet are okay though, that is the most important thing. I personally think, if I wore one size smaller, the shoes would fit and hold my feet better then my heels would not slip. On the bright side, I probably can wear them in cooler weather like early autumn or spring with thick socks and still my feet fit in. I have also tried pulling out the suede lace to get more tight. Now I just realize what these lace/strings use for. I saw a lot of slippers design with around lace like but I thought it's only decoration.

Durability and look.

For a handmade moccasin, they are very durable (in a week test trough various road or surface characters). The suede has no scratch mark. The details, stitches, glues (even the open sole part one i talked about in the first review), studs, fringe, espadrilles jutes, all are still completely on place. Note that I have sprayed a light protection coat on the suede so they are more dirt proof and water repelling.

These are how the look after a week had been worn almost everyday in various surface and road conditions.

Well, the dirt are still visible on the ivory color suede easily. My fault that I put inserts on inner backs and their adhesive made black dirt stain you may notice on the left photo above.

The soles are also still very good. I just stepped on gummy when I was in next city. Yuck, I hate it when it happens! There are a lot of them all over the city. The gummy dirt became black and I can't remove it.

The style ...oh the style I love it. These handmade moccasin slippers go with bohemian, free spirited look, eclectic, vintage, even simple outfit and they can work as statement.

Hi, everyone! My LdiR Moka are here!

Last post I told you about a little project I'll share and here it is, since I'm chosen as LdiR Moka slippers Juli tester!

What is that? The story went this way. Since I had feet problems and haven't fully recovered till now, I've been going towards flats to low heels comfy shoes but I want them to be unique, free spirited and chic at same time. That's why when I saw LdiR shoes, I'm like yeah, these could be the one! Oh, such a perfect time I read they looked for a tester! I applied for it right away.

LdiR (L'Artigiano di Riccione) is Italian shoes company (they also make bags and other accessories) from Riccione. Handmade in Italy, their craft and design are amazing and unique. Find out more about them on their website and E-shop here, or their facebook page here. Their boots and sneakers are looking awesome! They have this wow effect! However, I've been wanting summer moccasins slippers since long time ago so I knew I had to apply for a tester of their Moka slippers series.

When I was chosen as a tester it such made my day. As tester I have the opportunity to test wearing them. (Thank you LdiR they let me keep the lovely pairs! :)) They didn't ask me to make a blog post, so this is my own initiative to share my full review that hopefully useful for you. Thus, my review wether bad or good is honest although pardon my expressions they may sound hyperbolic cause of my excitement. :)

My Moka slippers have arrived! So let start with Day 1!

UNBOXING. The slippers were arrived after about 5 days delivery from Italy to Austria. On the photo above you can see the packaging. They come in LdiR Easy Glam series shoe box (with pink logo which I like), wrapped in a white packaging plastik and sealed with their logo tape. Inside the box was logo print monogram wrap paper and so here they were these Moka pairs.

Woow...a lovely first impression as I saw suede moccasines with wow effect details! However, it's a little funny cause only the left pair that was stuffed with paper inside.


LdiR Moka - fitting

FITTING and COMFORT. Yea then I slip my poor feet in them right away. The size seemed like running bigger than my normal fit size especially on the back. Note that I have big big toes and tend to step with front sole. (Another problem with heels cause my feet tend to slip forward. So I wonder if the loose fitting also because of the soft suede material. I keep loosing my slippers down from my heels. I heard suede also can expand with wear. I attached inserts on the back and pull the leather string tighter. That's what these strings for! Looked like they would help!

However, I am amazed with the supple suede leather. It's soft on the skin at first try, even with the studs and no lining fabric.

On the unboxing photo you can also see the soles which are very simple. The soles are soft flat rubber soles with grid texture and espadrille jutes around. My orthopedic custom inner soles are too big to fit in them. They can only fit in my 2 number bigger running sneakers. Anyway, I can't say much about comfort till I wear my Moka slippers longer and more often.

LOOK. Love is the details....That is most gorgeous things about these Moka slippers. The details! Super handcraft. Beautiful elements and eclectic style are mixed together in such appealing way. Bohemian, ethnic, cool, rock, glam, all in one! There are moccasins hand stitches, tassels, silver studs, rhinestones bling bling, espadrilles sole, and even embossed LdiR heart shape logo inside. Can't ask for more!

I got the ivory color Moka slippers which are called Moka Avorio. I think in this color the slippers are easier to look dirty but at the same time it's more flexible to pair them with other outfits.

LdiR Moka test - the flaws

THE FLAWS. I notice some flaws too in these handmade pieces among their amazing studs, tassel and hand stitches. It's about the glue. The glue leaks made some stain spots that hard to be removed, including that around the embossed logo details. On the opposite, there was not enough glue about 8 cm long on the espadrilles sole line that it was open. The flaws are on the right pair. The left pair is flawless.

So far I'm happy with my rocking moccaslippers (that's how I called them). So that's a wrap....!!?? No! It's just Day 1 test report! Summer Breeze, Alley and Sunrays

I love sunrays photo. :)

I wore: Charles Vögel parka, thrifted ruffles top, my fave jeans bought in Jogja, Indonesia, Wild Lapland hat, Kipling backpack, Asics sneakers (with medical custom sole).

Not complet without a ridiculous selfie. :))

Snapping a jumping goat. Yes, this is one of those rare moments.

My dilemma in summer (or in the summery late spring cause the photos were actually taken in summery June) is whether wearing jacket or not. In Indonesia I always wear jacket on my bike or I'll get burn. I got blisters all over my arms. There or here in Austria, when I am in the shadow summer breeze can also be too cool that it feels like I'm going to catch a cold. I don't know if anyone feels that too?

I simply need jacket and hat for some time like this. Strolling around, walking trough the alley and fields where the sun shines bright like a diamond. (Or diamond shines bright like the sun?!). I love when sunrays look magical filling the field and alley with golden light. I think I looked a camp girl looking for a clue in a treasure hunting game.

A clue for next project: something to take my sneakers a little break! I have a new little project that I will share to you all. However I don't know which one will come first wether this project or the photos of this strolling part 2 (no selfie nor outfit). Hmmh. Another dilemma.

Not really happy with the colors
Not wear this satin white top again in summer. The sweat easily makes yellow stain.
The blouse fabric is not sweat absorbing, though it may be a sweat wiper. If not because of the size that bigger than my normal fit size it may not be that airy.
I think the shoes didn't make the look chic here.

I still love this jeans. It was bought by my first salary years ago:). Very comfortable and i think it seats perfect on my curve.
I do need big pockets!
I didn't get burn.
I didn't feel sick with the sudden summer breeze.
The parka is really functional and easy maintenance.

Personally I like safari look with a twist, though this was not the best.

Easy Strolling in Pop of Colors

Hi hi hi!

There were times of strolling weather the whole week. If we don't have chance to travel far away, no problem because our small town has featured a lot of spots, pathways and trails full of sensory delights. We decided to walk down to the nearest inviting path along the river. Come, I take you along with us by pictures!

There were summer colors pop up everywhere like a celebration. From nature like flowers, sun rays, to man's made like mural and ha...my outfit! I wore black and white plaid baby doll flanel shirt and white jeans which i paired with a pop of orange bag and fuchsia pink socks. Mike wore one of his Thailand cotton T-shirts, this time was the blue one (he has blue, yellow, purple, orange :)

I love poppies field but it seemed the poppies had not shown up that much. There were pollens and spores flying blown by the wind. It was difficult to capture with my camera but I tell you...it was like in Avatar movie! You know when the seeds from the trees were swinging all over in the air? So dreamy!

So..do you like easy strolling like us? Whatever you enjoy, i hope you have a super inspiring time!

Stripes Weekend

Helloooo.....! How's your weekend?

I actually have taken pretty amount of photos cause I have managed to take few shots while strolling around or just went out few meters in front of our flat. I don't know which one anymore I should start to post on my blog with. I think I would just skip the rest of Vienna photos and some spring photos full of flowers! Mind you, perhaps I could post them next year! I want to run a bit faster to catch up the up to date blog post. However...I don't want to skip this one. Hehehehe.

On the weekend we wandered around trough the woods up to a castle on the hills. Around the castle I smell fragrance of Holunder/Elder flowers which used to be made as syrup especially in the mountain hut. There were also some berries and blackberries. The plants climb high up big trees and I wasn't sure if I could make to pick them.

Another things to do in the weekend is hunting for dinner in Feuerwehrfest. It is a little fest by Fire Fighter, they sell food and drink, there was a cafe corner, bar corner, kids playground, music concert and sometimes also tombola. Feuerwehrfest is held in the weekend in by some villages. This time we bought half chicken and french fries cost around 6,50 Euros. On the photos I show you the other uses of french fries. You can use them as a fake mustache or eye brows!

That day I wore a stripes dress I bought in Mango. Even though it's not similar kind of dress but it slightly reminds me of Margot Tenenbaum. Perhaps Margot Tenenbaum polo shirt style dress meets safari look? The dress I have has long sleeves and it was actually over size but successfully shrinking in the laundry! Yippie! It was not too warm and still I wore tight and brought trench coat. It's nice to cover leg with tight cause I hate bugs bite and scratchy bushes in the woods. The colors remind me of tiramisu, my fave desert the last part of this blog name inspired from!

That was our simple weekend activities which I enjoy during spring-summer. There are still a lot of chances ahead to do the same things and I feel I wouldn't be bored yet that way. How about you? Strolling Around Vienna

Strolling around Vienna...

We started with visiting Naschmarkt where there is flea market every Saturday.
The area is full with beautiful old buildings. I spotted this vintage hexagon balcony. Isn't it gorgeous?

Then it was raining. Do you know which one is me peeking secondhands under that large plastic wrap? This one sold mostly Monki.

The rain was so annoying so we run across to cafe Savoy. It has wonderful classic interior and crowded but cozy atmosphere seen in my previous post here. I ordered hot chocolate ~~with cream~~ which was usually served in a pretty white cup with black Mozart cameo silhouette on it. I looked trough window several time checking out the weather.

When the sun finally smiled again we went back to flea market. I browsed trough a huge pile of 80s 90s clothes while my husband Mike was hunting for shots (the people there were amazing, all kind of interesting street styles and unique characters).

My thrift-gret of this year! A Miu Miu kitten heels. I thought too long to buy it or not and ended up by putting them back. The seller said: "It's your fault!". I know.... Beside that it was actually half size number smaller, I was just so much considering my arthritis feet that I only wanted to buy flat shoes in which I can put my orthopedic custom insoles. Now that my feet are good enough to a short walk in kitten heels, I want those shoes!

After saw this photo my husband said the shoes don't look that awesome but i still like them according to what I've recorded in my mind.

What is your biggest thrift regret?

It had been a long summer day time. I didn't realized that the flea market was almost over before the sun went down. Some of the sellers had left the place (the Miu Miu shoes seller had been gone earlier). Some of them brought home their stuffs but tons of things just left over dirty and wet. People insanely picked them up before they would be scooped and thrown in garbage truck. (I too picked up a bag! Such a hoarding, help!).

Anyway, I bought one thing that I know i would need it during summer: straw hat! 1 Euro.

We walk trough the next market where we bought Falafels with Melanzani dip. Nyumm.... Sorry I have no photo of Falafels but below is a photo of me eating them. Falafel is Middle East food, a fried ball made from chickpeas, beans and spices. 20 balls of falafels around 2 Euros, that was the cheapest price we got.

How do I look? It reminds me of some tourists in my country.

We continued to stroll around discovering more and more vintage building, statues and ornaments. I would like to take photos of them without modern sticks and traffic signs though.

And archs! I love walking trough archs.

All kind of bikes from Harley, Vespa (with Italian flag on the front of it), big bikes, small bikes and even the cute Twizi, the little two seats car.

I also love the oxidized copper roof. The color turned green. It became more antique and charming.

Vienna has a lot of yellow walls that glow under the sun. I like that I capture the yellow color with red stripes next to it.

In the evening the sunlight washed the city. It made such dramatic views. It was wonderful time and city to stroll around indeed. We had more round before my poor feet started to feel sore but I keep them for some times later. Hope it's okay. :)
