It's Party Time!

The big game is almost here! It’s almost that time of year again, where sports fans all over unite over good food, great atmosphere’s and a fantastic game. It’s Super Bowl season! With Super Bowl XLVI just around the corner, it’s a good idea to figure out where you’ll be watching the game. Either you’re watching it with friends, at a sports bar, or at a party, you’re sure to have fun. But if you really want to get into the Super Bowl spirit, why not throw your own Super Bowl party in your apartment? If that’s an idea that sounds appealing, here are a few tips for throwing a successful Super Bowl party in your apartment here at The Chalet Apartments or elsewhere.

  • Draw an imaginary line down the area where people will be watching the game, and decorate each “side” with a different team that’s playing.
  • Be sure to have plenty of food and more than enough drinks. When picking food, try to choose more finger foods, ones that won’t cause too much of a mess if spilled. Most people will want to eat in front of the TV, and I’m sure you don’t want an unruly stain on your carpet later.
  • Protect your furniture and furnishings from accidents the best you can. Clear everything unnecessary from tables and end tables and set out plenty of coasters.
  • Keep towels near by. You’ll need them.

When the weather gets a little unpleasant, we all know how easy it is to forget to pick up after your dog. Especially when you’re trying to run back inside from the cold. However, the last thing that anyone wants on a day that’s not so pleasant is having the equally unpleasant experience of stepping in the…”gifts” your dog leaves behind. You also don’t want your dog stepping in another dog’s mess and tracking it back inside your home. It’s not really fun to try to clean that out of your carpet. So please be diligent with your dog owner duties and pick up after your furry friends. Try to extend these courteous behaviors to the park as well please.
