Greetings, we are all okay by God’s grace, God is good all the time. Church activities continue: Sunday worship services, fasting and prayer meetings, cottage meetings. We even have some house meetings in Dharan, outside Morong Barbara and in Sunsari dhubi too. Some children continue to have school outside, as well as Emmanuel school. Our children are having prayer and devotional Bible studies, music class, and Sunday school classes. I am teaching in SEAL Bible College regularly.

Please pray for the children in the orphanage and all of my ministries, because of my continued recovery from the accident, physically it makes ministry very difficult and challenging. I have to follow the doctor’s orders and take medications. Many are ill: two of the children had to meet with the doctor this past month, praise the Lord they are doing ok. We have one sister in Christ who is battling cancer and must be cared for and given medications. One brother in Christ is having mental health issues and had to be taken to the hospital… I want to serve the Lord with my best.

We’re praying for those that support the ministry and their ministries. I ask that you continue to pray for me, and especially the children and their needs, as well as financial support. We are still greatly affected by the Covid pandemic including lock downs it’s very challenging.

I returned to KTM hospital for a checkup and continued treatment then returned back home. Please pray for me to be healed completely, and for comfort as I still experience pain.

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus.

As another month passes, I count myself so blessed to be involved in the ministry. I had the privilege to preach the Gospel in my local church and to lead the youth ministry in organized group discussions and counselling sessions. We also spent some time on a beautiful, quiet hillside for prayer and meditation and to give God glory for His love. At a neighboring village we were able to evangelize and hold a church services to offer spiritual encouragement with praise and worship songs. As well as, holding a youth festival to encourage bearing more fruit in the Christian life. We included Bible study, praise and worship, and a group discussion and interaction time. We had blessed event. I believe we need this more often, as many youths are going astray from the right path getting involved in worldly enjoyment. Some have even lost their life from drug abuse.

Challenges we face.

Leaders and pastors feel the need for opening a training centres for youths and emerging Christian leaders since most of them are untrained and need spiritually guidance. Our prayer is that God will enable us to have a youth training centre. 90% of people here claim to be Christian, however, no fruitful church ministry is seen because people with no knowledge of the Word of God are appointed as a church leader, especially in the Hill area. This is why we feel this is so important, in order to grow a mature Christian, we must provide training for such leaders.

Greetings to you in the name of Jesus Christ from Nepal.

I would like to humbly thank the Lord and SEAL NETWORK INT’L for the continuous support of the LEADERSHIP TRAINING CENTER and Church planting ministry in Nepal. Your prayers and support have not been in vain. Men, women, and children are living new lives in Christ because of you.

In spite of all the difficulties and hardship I faced in 2020 due to Covid. 2021 is a blessed year. This month I married the one whom God has chosen to be my helpmate.  The marriage ceremony was grand and successfully done.

God has opened a door for me to pastor a large congregation in India. The people here honor me as their pastor. I am who I am today only because of the grace and mercy of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I am so thankful that God chose to use me for His service; I have decided as long as I live here on this earth, I will serve and glorify His name, no matter what.

My wife serves as a trainer in a local hospital here in India. This allows her to reach more people with the Gospel. I am very proud to have such a godly woman that serves in a hospital. I believe God will do great things through us with the hospital and in unreached places in the mountains of Nepal.

After staying in India for two and half months, I was able to come back safely to Nepal without any problems. I was able to visit some of our co-workers, pastors, and evangelists; we discussed our upcoming 2021 ministry plan and purpose.  It is our hope and prayer that God will do great things through us in 2021.

We engage lives through evangelism. We strive to touch the forgotten, isolated, and marginalized people with the love, hope, truth, and compassion of Jesus Christ. We want to see God do His Glorious work through us. We aim to win the people for the Lord and to help them be His true and fruitful disciples. We aim to lay a good educational foundation. Our mission is not just a strongly felt calling, but part of our lives.

Thank you for your prayers which help to move forward the ministry. The Lord is gracious to us. The work of God continues to be carried out regularly, through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word and by reaching the lost.

I am always thankful to the Lord for His servants that pray and support the ministry regularly, even in the midst of all the difficulties of this past year.

In my life I do not find joy in anything else except serving the Lord. I don’t have peace and pleasure apart from seeking the will of God in my life. This is why I serve in the ministry and praise the Almighty with my life and through my ministry. However, I still experience difficult days in my life and ministry, but I press forward for the kingdom of God.

This past month I engaged in ministry both in the church and out in the community. My time was spent preaching the word of God and visiting many believers. I was able to pray with and encourage them with the Word of God to be strong in their faith. I also visited and prayed over several sick individuals.

I am thankful to God for allowing His Spirit to lead and instruct me this past month as I strived to accomplish the will of God and His great mandate.

I spent much of the last month caring for the people of God and discipling them in the Word of God. I was able to share the Gospel in churches and out in the community. I was also able to spend some time with other pastors and leaders in a special meeting. We gathered together to pray for all of our pastors and leaders that are serving to expand the kingdom of God, both here and around the world. We also discussed the new goals of the Seal Training Center along with how we can be involved with the new year’s admission.

In addition, I was able to spend some of my time visiting and praying with God’s people who were in need of prayer, all for His glory.

We hope and pray that all are well. By God’s grace we and the children are all well. Children’s school is running, and they are growing both physically and spiritually. We have18 children here in the Emmanuel Orphanage and children’s school. Twelve children study inside Emmanuel up to class five, and six children study outside Emmanuel from class six. They are very devoted to music class and study consistently.

Church ministry continues. We have Sunday worship services, along with house visiting and prayer and fasting. The church and children’s dormitory that is being built is almost complete. Praise God!

Please continue to pray for me and my health. I am feeling better day by day. I still have to go to the hospital in Kathmandu for continued treatment and checkups.

SEAL Christian Church and Emmanuel Orphanage Children’s School (Dharan, Nepal)

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Receiving a blessing from God is manifested through the ministry. At the same time a lot of challenges also seem to appear. This month I continued visiting villages which are only accessible by motorcycle. I visited three villages: Anaal Khullen, Thorcham, and Hringphē. In these villages I focused on children’s ministry, since most of the children are not in school due to the closing of all schools. I took permission from respective church pastors and spent at least 2 hours sharing the Gospel, we had a sing-spiration, and I gave awareness on Covid 19. I also distributed sanitizer and face masks, since these items are necessary. Non-compliance to the regulations results in a fine. Most of the villagers are reluctant to comply with the orders of the government for prevention of Covid 19 and are not aware of what’s happening outside their villages.

December is a fun time, I always look forward to this month because this is the time many people come to the church for prayer. Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The pandemic challenges have become a new normal. Church ministry is restricted due to a new government order to restrict people from gathering, because of this, missionaries and evangelists are not always welcome. However, I had the opportunity to reach out to a remote place near Myanmar border in a village called Larong Khullen (India) to preach the gospel.

I found the time to interact with groups of children. They told me it had been almost a year since they had been able to have a Sunday class. I shared the love of God and many Bible stories for 2 hours and then conducted group prayer. I was saddened as most of them had forgotten the Gospel. For example, they did not remember “For God so loved the world…” (John 3:16) Some of them did not like singing praise and worship songs. The spirit of worship was gone. I encouraged and motivated them about why God cannot be forgotten during these difficult times.

During the visit I felt the need to organize a winter Vacation Bible School (VBS), as most of these children’s parents are jhum cultivators.  Their parents stay in the field for about a month, and they spend two to three days traveling just to reach their field. Children are often left unattended in their absence. I also spoke to some of their parents and had a wonderful time enriching them with words of God. It was a blessing for them and for me, in particular.

Finally, before I left, I distributed face masks, sanitizer, soap, and sanitary pads, as these items have become basic necessities to fight the Covid-19 virus. I pray that we may continue doing what God wants and has put in our hearts and that He will continue to help us in this difficult present situation. I thank you all and also ask you to pray with hope and faith. May God bless us all. Amen.

First of all I am thankful to God for the past month that came out with a new wave of hope in our life. We thought the month of December would go by quietly like other past months on account of the pandemic, but it was not like that. Instead, it brought us new hope, joy, and happiness – all because of the celebration of the birth of our Lord God Jesus Christ. Though we continued to see the effects of Covid-19 all around us, we were able to find joy and happiness because of Christmas. We were able to forget about how bad the past several months have been. Jesus is the reason for the season, and we are more grateful for that fact this December. We were able to continue the work of God by celebrating Christmas and delivering the message of the love of Christ to believers and non-believers, whether we were gathered in the church or spending time outside of the church.

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is always a blessing to be alive for Christ’s glory. During the month of November, I have been engaged in visiting churches across India and visiting remote villages in the chandel district, Manipur. I am unable to minister in my hometown due to the imposed restrictions in the area, so I focus more on the churches around me where I can reach by traveling on foot. One of the challenges I face here is transportation, because I minister in such a remote place that I cannot visit as often as I would like due to the lack of means for transportation to reach them. Preaching and praying is mostly what my ministry consists of. People are suffering from depression from financial hardships and many other factors exaggerated by the Covid 19 pandemic. However, encouraging them with word of God and prayer sessions restores their faith.

God is doing great things among the people. It’s overwhelming to witness God’s grace and to see people praising and singing hymns with tears in their eyes as the gospel is being preached to them. It is indeed a blessing.

I am grateful to God for guiding our plans and allowing us live them out.  We could not have ministered this month without His faithfulness and intervention in our lives.

I personally thought that this month would be challenging, tough, and difficult as the past months have been. I wasn’t able to continue to advance my ministry due to the effects of Covid 19 everywhere in our areas, but I felt God’s grace and His strength in my life. Under His mighty care, I was preserved, guided, strengthened and empowered. As a result, I had much success in many areas of ministry this last month. We had a memorial service last month, church services on the border side of Nepal and India, and we were able to engaged with our Emmanuel children.

Everywhere I go and in every work, I remember God’s great commission, the love of Christ, and the cost of the cross for the penalty of our sins.  It stirs my heart to work for the Lord. Thus everywhere I go, I see something new happening because of God in my ministry.

I am very grateful to God for His eternal grace and protection in our lives.

In the midst of all the challenges and effects of the Corona virus, we also became victims of it. It had been very painful at times, a situation that I never ever imagined before in my life. It has caused our ministry to stop for a time of recovery. However, God strengthens and helps each of us to be patient and strong in our faith throughout all of these challenges and difficulties.  I was able to minister a little to His people in the churches at Baluwahi and Ranjani. I have experienced feelings of anxiety and disappointment at time throughout this pandemic, just as many of the believers have. However, I am thankful to God for everything that He is doing throughout this difficult period of time, whether it’s a Joyful or sorrowful moment in ministry. I take everything in positive way with thanksgiving to God.

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

I am continually thankful to God for His protection and strength to continue His work. This past month, I was able to visit some churches in a remote hill area near Manipur, India. I was given the privilege to preach the Gospel, and I was able to offer a counseling session for people who have gone through many traumas and difficulties in life and for some who have strayed from God. Special prayer was organized for many of these people.

In counseling, I met one old man who has worked hard for many years to provide for his family of twelve.  One of his sons is even in jail. This man had been struggling for more than 20 years. He told me he had gotten to this place because of severe poverty and a bad accident, and he had been a drunkard. As I shared the gospel with him, he was willing to repent when he realized that life would be more miserable if he continued to ignore God. We prayed, and he accepted Christ. I promised him that I would visit him again.

I distributed food grain to some poor families. When we visited those areas distributing food, we were able to share the gospel. Just as these families are eager to feed their families physically, God’s Word feeds them spiritually.

I met with several deacons, pastors, and women leaders and had Bible teaching for a few hours. I perceived that there was an eagerness to learn and lack of spiritual guidance. I am praying for training centers for these church leaders so that they can gain spiritual wisdom and help their community to grow maturely in Christ.

I was also spreading awareness about Covid-19 in many areas, providing masks and hand sanitizer. This is necessary because the people are very vulnerable to such a virus where no health care is available, and most of the poor have weak immune systems. Losing life to this virus before receiving Jesus Christ is devastating. When the virus first started spreading, the government restricted people’s movement and then relaxed somewhat due to economic necessity. This gave us a greater opportunity to reach out to our believers. However, at present the ever-increasing number of Covid-19 patients in most villages has slowed us down again because they have prohibited people from entering their villages. Church gatherings are strictly banned. The people in the communities make their own rigid rules to protect themselves from the virus, even more strict than the government’s guidelines. Some villages guard their village entrance. No one can visit sick people; only their family can attend to them or go to their funeral. In such hard times as this, people are crying out to God, especially victims of this virus and the poor. Some have forgotten to seek God and have strayed away from Him. I am praying to reach out to them as much as possible. I am able to communicate with a few people by phone.

Greetings and blessings in the name of our Lord God, Jesus Christ!

I am very grateful to God for the past month that I have been able to serve Him in many places. In the midst of so many challenges, difficulties, and hardships, the kingdom of God is still advancing. Life is precious, and I want to spend all of my time serving Him.  This month, here were some of my highlights:

-To renovate Barara church: I am really so thankful to God for the opportunity He gave me to do some renovations for this church. It gave me so much joy, and it was a great experience to make something new for the Lord.

– To lead the church: As we know, the church is the house of God; it should never be closed, no matter what plight comes. But since the virus situation has become worse now, we are compelled to close the building. However, our service to the people of God is continuing, despite the challenges it can bring.

– To comfort a bereaved family: We lost a member of our congregation this month.  I was able to minister to the sorrowing family, spending three days with them to help them through the process of their grief.

Although there is a fearful global situation right now, we as believers receive strength from God to help us to overcome the obstacles that arise.  I am thankful for this time that is building my faith and drawing me closer to Him.

Most of my ministry days are overshadowed by the effects of Covid-19, but I still do not lose heart while doing God’s ministry. I am ministering in a village, and I have a branch fellowship in Ranjani that is also being cared for. We have some services in the churches, and we visit our people often. In spite of the challenges we’ve been facing, we have still been able to have some women fellowships and youth fellowships at the church even during this lockdown. We are thankful to God for everything that is still happening in the church.

I strive to always be ready to do anything that brings glory to the throne of grace. No matter what the world might look like, I am ready for the fight against the stronghold of darkness. Nothing matters to me except serving the Lord.

We are constantly in prayer during this global pandemic. The government of Nepal is still not allowing us to open the church.  This is a challenge to everyone, and it is a very hard time for us. Because we face such a stringent lockdown, we are unable to carry out our normal ministry.

However, we have prayer sessions and Bible reading every evening in our home, and we have fellowship every Saturday with a small group of believers. If we receive any urgent prayer requests from our congregation, we arrange a way to reach out to them.

It is heart-wrenching to see these situations. People are suffering from hunger; some are even homeless. While this month’s report is short, I continue to help the poor and needy so that they can live life.

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I believe as we continue to face the same challenges, our hope and faith in Jesus help us to strive toward the better future that God has always promised us.

Constraints continue during this seemingly increasing COVID-19 pandemic. However, the opportunities given to me to carry out the gospel and perform ministry during the pandemic is a witness to God’s grace, mercy, and glory; how glorifying when people repent and pour out their heart to God! The pandemic may be worsening life, but at the same time it is comforting to know that God is turning this situation into blessings for those who believe in Him. I have witnessed these blessings pouring out on God’s people!

Whenever I find an open door for God’s work to take place, I find every way to go, even though mobility is restricted. People are hungry for the gospel more than ever because life is so hard, and without God life is miserable. People’s need for prayer, counseling, and understanding of the Word of God is increasing. I am always looking for the poorest of the poor – to help them in prayer and to preach the Gospel to them.   Although there are many, I am only able to visit a few. In the village called Phung Phung, I visited a stone crusher woman who was a divorcee with a son, a farmer who was staying with his one son, and a daily-wage earning family. All of these families were backslidden and away from God. When I visited with them, I had the opportunity to present the Gospel and to restore their faith in God. I was also able to offer food items to help them.

Challenges in Ministry

People today are so attached to worldly needs.  They are in search of an income, a job, a way to survive and to raise their standard of living, but they have forgotten to seek God. I often come across people who lack spiritual leadership and wisdom. Most of the pastors, deacons, and churches are lacking the leadership and the proper teaching of doctrine.  There are many untrained people, especially laymen, who have no spiritual guidance. When this current pandemic struck them, they were spiritually dead.  They do not know how to establish an intimate relationship with God. Most of them behave like non-Christians since they lack proper training to understand the word of God.  Pray for their growth as followers of Christ.

I am always praying that God will send more laborers to reach many souls.  When we see people who have been hungering for the Gospel for so long, it is heart breaking. I am so thankful for God’s abundant grace and mercy that He continues to bestow into our lives and ministry, especially during these difficult days and months. His grace allows us to remain faithful and to continue shining like a candle with our service to Him. We know the life we have here on this earth is uncertain, but the ministry we do is a privilege for God’s glory. When we understand these truths, we are able to continue to strive to complete our God-given tasks until Jesus’ return.  The Holy Spirit is always present to uplift us as we need His reassurance. I experienced this uplifting from the Spirit often last month as I served Him on the mission field.

As we continue ministering through this lockdown, times are difficult. One of my students and I went out to a particular region where we were able to have children’s ministry, common fellowship, prayer ministry, and so on. We thank God for His abundant mercy and grace to continue His work. While we were out ministering, the Holy Spirit guided us to shift to another place called Kajiman Chowk, which is near the India-Nepal border.  We traveled to Kajiman Chowk, where we had fellowship with believers and prayed for individuals who requested prayer. We rejoiced about this new area to serve God’s people as we traveled home.  After a couple of weeks, the Spirit of God guided us to journey out to the mountain region to look after some of the houses of God.  Once again, we followed God’s leading.  We went out to pray for the people, and we were able to encourage, comfort, and have fellowship.

We are grateful for another month of seeing God work here in our area and in the areas around us.

SEAL LEADERSHIP TRAINING CENTRE – NEPAL

I would like to express my sincere thanks for your generous support for the Seal Leadership Training Centre – Nepal and for the church planting ministry. Each day we can see wonderful changes in the lives of our students who come from different backgrounds. Along with the studies in the classroom, the preaching in the chapel services have also been a great blessing for all. Many of the students have been participating in practical ministries in different places; it has been a great opportunity and experience for them to serve others. We aim to win the people for the Lord and help them to be His true and fruitful disciples. Our mission is not just a strongly felt calling but is a part of our life, as it is with every follower of Christ. The great work of God is being carried out regularly through reaching out, teaching, discipling, and establishing local churches.

RELIEF MINISTRY

We are committed to sharing the love of God and good news of our Lord Jesus Christ, in word and in deed, through every medium possible. God has answered prayers for some of our believers and a pastor friend of ours who have been in need of help for a few weeks. Due to the lockdown, their daily lives have been impacted negatively. Praise God that we were able to reach out with a little help and relief for Pastor Bhim Tamang and his family and also to our Baraha Village people, who were in great need of assistance. Though the help we were able to give was small, the million-dollar smiles and happiness on their faces made it all worth the effort!

CHURCH PLANTING MISTRY

Many of our new believers need encouragement, counseling, Bible teaching, and, most importantly, prayer.  We have seen many of people’s hearts in the villages change with respect to the Word of God. It’s not because of our greatness, but because of all the prayers that God has answered in giving us freedom to share the Gospel. All is not easy; we still have problems with the church and ask that you keep that in your prayers. We are trying to touch the forgotten, isolated, and marginalized people with the love, hope, truth, and compassion of Jesus Christ. We want to see God do His glorious work through us.

What a wonderful privilege I have in Christ Jesus, knowing that in Him I have received all spiritual blessings. Serving Jesus is our greatest joy, and we pray that He continues to guide us and allows us to minister to His Nepalese people. The Lord is faithful, and we desire to share His faithfulness in what He has done in Nepal. We strive to give our best in whatever we do, knowing that our sincere work is not in vain. Though people may not notice us, we are proving ourselves accountable to the LORD.

I would like to humbly thank the Lord and SEAL NETWORK INT’L for the continuous support of the LEADERSHIP TRAINING CENTRE and church planting ministry in Nepal. Your prayers and support have not been in vain. Men, women, and children are living new lives in Christ because of you.

SEAL LEADERSHIP TRAINING CENTRE
The centre exists to train young men and women for the future of ministry. This month, we were unable to increase our gospel outreach ministry due to a complete lockdown in our district. The lockdown has caused many of our believers physical and financial struggles as well as isolation.  They have been unable to meet with fellow believers and church pastors and leaders, but this challenge has also turned into opportunity for spiritual growth. Though some of our believers are feeling isolated in their faith, we are continuously trying to remain connected with them by phone and encouraging them to use this time to draw nearer to God.

VISITING BARARA VILLAGE
Pastor Simon and I visited our leader in Barara Village.  He is taking care of our fellowship in Barara Village; we prayed with and encouraged him to trust God during this lockdown. He expressed to us that in these difficult times, when things seem to not be going right, he is learning to depend on God more than ever before. Although the lockdown has been very difficult for him and his family and other believers, God is good.

FACEMASKS DISTRIBUTION
After returning from the fellowship in Barara Village, Pastor Simon and I noticed the villagers had no face masks to protect themselves. They were out of their homes and gathering in a tree to relax.  This would increase their risks of becoming infected or spreading the virus; we decided to help them. We immediately went to the pharmacy and bought 500 facemasks to distribute. We distributed the masks and told the people to be careful when out gathering with so many others, such as refraining from physical contact and washing their hands frequently.

I am grateful to the Lord for all of the opportunities to serve Him in this ministry. I am praying and planning with “FAITH — faith that God will provide, faith that our ministry partners will grow, and faith that God will continue to use us to cultivate His kingdom here on earth as it is in Heaven.” I want to thank you for partnering with us, in your prayers and finances, to take the truth to Nepal.

Our hearts are stirring for souls.  We want to reach lost souls, see the Church revived, and rescue this generation through the continuous preaching and sharing of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

As the lockdown remains imposed on us, everything is strictly closed besides emergency services. Cases of COVID-19 are multiplying daily, and as a result many are panicked.  But still as long as God is leading us and as long as God is gracious to us, I am endeavoring my level best to lead the churches of God, even during this lockdown. Besides the Sabbath day, I am going to meet with, pray, and encourage our believers wherever they are. For now, due to the lockdown we are still staying in our homes for quarantine where we are having fellowship. I often go to meet our believers, pray with them, and see if they are in need of anything. In this way, I exercise my faith in doing God’s ministry during this time.

To see spiritual and physical growth in the church, I continue serving the people of God even during these difficult days. While serving the church of God recently, a new unsaved woman came to our fellowship, she sat and listened to the Word of God until the very end. I praise the Lord because afterword she responded to the Gospel; this gave me so much joy in my heart to serve the Lord. God is giving me a wonderful privilege to harvest the fruits in His sufficient, abundant kingdom.

I am grateful to God for everything He is doing in my life and ministry. Sometimes I feel hopeless, and I am restless, especially during the current lockdown as it is affecting me and my family; however, God is so good in everything that He is doing in my life. During these hard moments, God is helping me and sustaining me. I am thankful to God for his faithfulness and for what He is doing in my life, in spite of all the hardships and problems. Due to the lockdown I am unable to carry out my ministry as I normally would, but I still seek to continuously look after my church members, visiting their homes, fellowshipping, praying, and seeking to encourage them each week.

I am thankful to God for using me in His ministry and for allowing me to take care of two church fellowships, one which is newly started near the Indian border.

In my ministry, I have observed people that are struggling beyond words. Many are poor, but mostly they are jobless and depending on their daily wages to survive and provide food. It has been very difficult to live, especially during this global pandemic. Even the children do not know what they are going to do during this global pandemic. With the little amount that I do have, I wanted to be a good Samaritan for a day; I put together a small gift that included a notebook, pen, and scale. As I delivered the packages to my Sunday School children, I could see the happiness, joy, and gratitude in them. My prayer to the Lord was not only to provide them with a notebook, pen, and scale, but also to preach the Gospel to them, especially during this global pandemic. I pray that they will spend their time writing Bible verses or drawing pictures to help to them during the difficult times.

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ from Seal ministry Dharan, Nepal. God’s love is immense, and His grace and mercy are beyond our imagination. I am in awe of His majesty as I remind myself that I am nothing but dust before His throne. I thank Almighty God for enabling us to serve Him and allowing us to encourage one another, even though we live in different parts of the world.

The pandemic has been challenging for Christians trying to keep the faith, especially those living in Dharan, Nepal. Believers are easily lured to seek witchcraft to heal their sickness and help them survive. They are looking for ways to earn or receive anything that could possibly rid them of their depression. Since both Hindus and Christians are living in close proximity, some new believers are easily influenced by their Hindu neighbors to seek their gods. On August 1, 2020, I encountered one Christian family being tormented by evil spirits because they had turned to witchcraft for the past few months to heal their sickness. Instead of good things happening, each family member was being tormented by the evil spirits. When I visited their house for prayer and counseling, they narrated all the things which they had gone through, and they confessed their sins to God. I ministered to them; and as we prayed, they repented, cried out to God, and recommitted their lives to Him. I saw the powerful work of God, in how God did not allow this family to perish, but from His throne thought of this family and sent me to them to save their souls from perishing. I am humble to have witnessed God’s amazing love. I know there are numerous other families in similar situations who need God’s Word. Let’s continue praying to God for more harvesters.

Challenges in Quarantine centre.

I left Dharan, Nepal for my follow up treatment. Flying back home, I was quarantined for a month. The scenario now is much different from before COVID-19 and what was normal life. Now, churches are shut, and people are apprehensive to greet one another or talk due to fear of COVID-19. Maintaining social distance has led many to distance from God, because they have not heard the encouraging Word of God to uplift their spirits and to have faith.

During my stay in the quarantine center, I prayed to God for the opportunity to share His Word; I asked the quarantine warden to allowe me to conduct prayer and Bibleteachings, along with following all precautionary measures. I was readily permitted! We had fasting and prayer, along with the preaching of the Gospel.

I thank God for how blessed I am, and that I am able to serve Him in every place I go and in every situation. All glory to God. Presently I am praying to God that I will continue doing ministry amid COVID-19 after I am released from the quarantine centre.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We continue to be faithful in our prayers, and we covet your prayers during this global pandemic.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, these times are very challenging.  We are still facing stringent lockdown procedures leaving us unable to carry out our ministry as normal.  However, we continue to hold prayer and Bible reading sessions every evening in our home, and we have fellowship when possible. When we receive urgent prayer requests from those in our fellowship, we arrange a way to reach out and minister to them.

After a long period of not being able to meet together because of the pandemic, God has allowed us the opportunity to meet together with some church members in their homes. We share our prayer requests for daily needs and our family’s needs during the lockdown, and we discuss ways in how we can continue our fellowship during the pandemic.  Please remember us in your prayers and continue to pray for our fellowship and the needs within our ministry.

Greetings to you in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

There are a lot of challenges, obstacles, persecutions, discouragements, and even hatred during this global pandemic and lockdown; but through faith and my relationship with God, I am able to overcome. I praise the Lord for strengthening me and empowering me during these difficult times.

I, along with four members of our fellowship, was beaten by law enforcement due to the lockdown. We had gathered together for prayer and were returning back to our homes when law enforcement chased several of our believers back to the church where we were beaten and had our picture taken holding a Bible for the local newspaper. We respect our law enforcement and their duties. However, their actions during this time are discouraging and not commendable.

Because of God’s wonderful grace we are okay. We continue to worship in our own home. From time to time, I am able to visit our members and encourage and pray with them.

I thank God for giving me the opportunity to serve our people. I was able to serve one member in the Baluwahi’ Morang district and another in Kajiman Chowk, which is on the Indian border side.

Our SEAL team was able to visit our fellowship near the Indian border after a long period of not being able to gather together due to the pandemic. It was a great time together in fellowship and prayer.  We encouraged one another and observed the Lord’s Supper.

Most of the people in the village build their houses with mud.  Due to heavy rainfall and flooding, one of our member’s houses, where we would normally gather to have fellowship, was damaged by the flood.  However, we praise God that He is in control, and we pray and trust that He will provide for the needs of the family and their home.

Greetings and blessings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you for the privilege to serve with you all together for the extensional Kingdom of God. I am honored to be a part of SEAL ministry here in Nepal and would like to extend my gratitude to you in this very moment. Thank you for your prayers and support, both financially and spiritually.

I want to share with you how we expanded our ministry during the past month in various places. On July 4th, we conducted ministry in

the Morang district with one of our SEAL churches and Brother Rajkumar. We had children’s ministry along with a time of worship, prayer, and encouragement from the Word of God.  Meeting together is challenging as we face lockdown restrictions. On July 6^th we had a Dharan pastors meeting; and on July 9th we turned to Barara for a small relief task to distribute to our believers during lockdown. We had a blessed time of pray and encouragement as we met with them. During our visits, an unsaved family member of one of our members requested prayer.  We were able to pray with him and to share the gospel of why God came to save sinners on this earth. On the 11th we had a blessed fellowship at our SEAL yard.  There we encouraged one another by sharing our ministry experience and discussed ways to go ahead with our ministry during this pandemic. On the 12th we conducted outreach ministry in the Himalayan region. During that time, I had fellowship with our SEAL ChhataChowk church members and also met some children while out. I was able to offer council, prayer, and encouragement during this time of lockdown. On the 15th we all gathered in the orphanage; we sang songs and worshipped God together. We encoura

ged each of the children to be strong in the faith. On the 16th we had fellowship at SEAL Chhatachowk Church. There was a wonderful presence of God. I took time to preach and counsel with our believers during the lockdown. On the 18th we again turned to Barara SEAL Church to have fellowship with all believers.  We prayed with individuals and encouraged one another through the Word of God. Lastly, we returned to Dharan on the 25th where we once again went to the Morang district to have classes, fellowship, and the Lord’s supper with all of the believers.  From there Brother Rajkumar and I went to the border side of Nepal to see all the churches of God.  We met, visited, prayed, and encouraged one another before returning back to our place. In this way we were able to do His precious works on this earth in various regions throughout the past month during this restrictive time of lockdown.

Greetings in our Lord’s most wonderful name.

Despite all of the disruptions and our inability to worship together as we usually would, I believe the lockdown caused by the pandemic is being used by God to use us in a new way.

Our Seal Team has stayed connected to those in our fellowships by regularly calling and checking in on our families. We encourage them to have home fellowship with their families and to take part in daily times of prayer. Every week we visit Baraha Village Fellowship, Khorshani Village Fellowship, Bhaune Village Fellowship at Morang District, Chata Chowk Fellowship, and near Indian border Fellowship.

The corona virus pandemic has impacted the daily life of many people in Nepal. However, in times like these, people desperately need a foundation to stand on. They need hope—the kind of hope only found in God’s Word. As we all adjust to this new normal, we’re sharing stories about how God is working through the nation.

THREE SOULS GOT SAVED IN THE MONTH OF JULY AND ONE BAPTIZED

As we continue to rejoice in the work that God has done (and is doing) through us in Nepal, we also remember these precious new believers in prayer, as new believers and Christians in Nepal are often persecuted for their faith by family, friends, and society. 

CHILDREN’S HOME

Some call them orphanages … But we don’t.  That’s because the children are cared for by pastor Jeeban, his wife, and members of the local church. We don’t see the children as orphans because they are members of a family. And many of these children come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their own Savior at the Children’s Home.

But very sadly on July 27^th, Pastor Jeeban, the Director of our Children’s Home was

burned severely due to an electrical shock when he was working on the Children’s Home building; almost 40% to 50% of his body was burned. He was immediately transferred to the Kathmanu Skin Burn Specialist Hospital on July 28^th and is now in the ICU.

The children are temporarily being taken care of by Seal staff members.

Thank you to all of those who have prayed for him personally!  He is doing well and recovering slowly. Please pray for Pastor Jeeban. Your prayers and support are very much needed.

Thank you for your prayers and practical support of SEAL Ministries to Nepal. You are helping us accomplish God’s purpose to reach the lost and build them up in the most holy faith, establish local Bible-believing churches, train men and women to do the work of the ministry, provide families for the fatherless, and do a host of other ministries.

Our goal for the next 10 to 15 years is to establish a total of 75 churches in 75 districts of Nepal. We intend to see the work spread to many unreached areas of Nepal. Currently, we have planted over 7 churches since we began in 2015. With God’s great hand with us, we will be able to accomplish great things for Him.

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ from Seal ministry Dharan, Nepal. First of all, I give praise and glory to our Heavenly Father, for His grace and mercy. I am very thankful for God’s blessings in enabling me to continue doing the work of the ministry after the lockdown restrictions were lessened. I was able to visit the Morang District to teach and preach the gospel. The people there are very receptive of the gospel, and many have willingly received Jesus Christ as their Savior. However, since they are not mature in the faith, I pray that they do not backslide when life is on the verge of poverty or when faced with other difficult life circumstances.

I will be facing some challenges as the government of Nepal is issuing a new order restricting activities such as church gatherings and missionary activities. Because of this, I have to visit specific people who will welcome me into their homes to preach the gospel, teach the Bible, counsel, and pray. This week I visited one of the remotest areas where the gospel is not preached.  It was indeed a challenge and a glorious moment to witness God’s mercy on the Nepalis’ Tribals. The restrictions on the government side may hinder me from further continuing the ministry, as it may be difficult to reach them often.  This is my only worry for such new believers. I pray that they may mature in Christ and that they do not backslide. I also seek your prayers and support for the new believer to mature in Christ and to grow spiritually.

FEEDING THOSE WHO ARE HUNGRY

It is difficult to ignore the poverty and those who struggle for bread and butter for their family. Preaching was not easy in this situation or sharing the love of God while they are groaning for food to feed their hungry stomachs. Sometimes I became a fool to them by just opening my mouth. What will I do for their mount of grievances? For me it was huge overwhelming feeling. With what I can, I purchased some food items – rice, grain, oil, and other edible necessities – and approached them to begin proclaiming God’s Word. Some begin to pour out their heart and soul to receive Jesus Christ. This is the only way for me to make a first impression and be welcomed into their homes. Life is hard on this side of world, but God is wonderfully merciful.  His words are more important. I hope they may know one day that ­God is the source of everything for their life.
