The premise suggested by Pastor Tim is that God gives promises to people so that they have an understanding of what God wants to see take place in their lives.  Could it be said that when God gives a promise to a person He is in fact giving that person the right to earnestly make an argument with Him for the promise to come true?

After listening to Pastor Tim’s brief message here are three questions to consider and blog about.

1. Do you see this type of human-and-divine interaction modeled elsewhere in Scripture? Where Specifically and why?

2. If this is one way God works to advance people into a meaningful life, what promises has He spoken to you about and have you allowed those promises to be a basis for your confident approach to God in earnest-heartfelt prayer?

3. Here is a primary question – If this is also a way God works in local churches to advance churches into meaningful ministry, what promises has He spoken to us about and have you allowed those promises to be a basis for your confident approach to God in earnest-heartfelt prayer?
