This is one of my favorite pictures of my three oldest kids. I love every little detail. The sleepy eyes, Kayla’s chubby legs, Brittany’s painted toenails, Matt’s brand new clothes and the lunchbox he picked out all by himself.
I remember this day like it was yesterday. It was Matt’s first day of first grade. (I homeschooled him for kindergarten.) My hubby and I walked him to his new classroom and helped him find his desk. It was so hard to leave. I remember turning around to get one last peek at him before walking out the door and then the tears started falling! I could hardly wait for 3 o clock to roll around so we could pick him up and hear all about his day...his new little life.
It is hard to believe how fast the years have flown by. Being his mom has been one of life’s greatest privileges. I am so thankful for the man he has become, his tender heart, and his desire to let God guide his future. He has what it takes to make a difference in this world.
I love you, Matt, and can’t wait to see what God has in store for you.
