MovieBerry Download Problems

"MovieBerry have always been one of our most highly recommended sites to download movies from. However, we have recently received numerous complaints about the website and the service they offer. Complaints have mainly been about problems with the movie downloads. Files are broken or corrupt, the sound is not working, the movies cannot be burnt to DVDs as well as customers not being able to login for long periods of time. CheapFilms.net only recommend good, trusted, safe websites to our visitors, therefore we are no longer supporting or recommending MovieBerry. New Movie Download Site

"There is a new movie download site on the block, MovDl. The site is a little different from the others we've reviewed in the past. Instead of topping up and downloading films with your balance, you pay a monthly fee of $39.90 and this will allow you to download an unlimited number of movies for the entire month. You will be billed the monthly amount until you cancel your account, however, you will have unlimited access to the site as long as you remain a member. More Movie Sites Closed Down

"Seven movie download websites were closed down by the US authorities on the 30th June, following an announcement by Obama to crack down on the theft of movies and TV shows. All of the sites were closed down after it was discovered that they were offering movies to download illegally and movies to view illegally. Visiting any of the sites will display a message from the US Government explaining why the site has been seized. The seven sites that were closed down are: TVshack.net Movies-Links.tv FilesPump.com Now-Movies.com PlanetMoviez.com ThePirateCity.org ZML.com If you were a customer of any of these sites, unfortunately, any money you had on your account will be lost. However, if you're still looking for somewhere to download your movies and TV shows, there is a site that you can use safely and legally online; MovieBerry.com. The site offers over 10,000 movies and 1,000 TV shows, is easy to use and is one of the best sites for customer service. We love these guys and although they are fairly new, they are up and coming and offer a fantastic service. ZML.com is now closed

"The movie download site, ZML.com, is no longer active. On the 30th June 2010, the site was seized by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcements and as such, the site will be down indefinitely. So where are we going to get our movies from now? We recommend using a more legal service, such as MovieBerry.com for your movie and tv downloads. The site is cheaper than ZML, offers better quality movies and the site is a whole lot easier to use than ZML. If you go to zml.com, you will see the following message: It's sad to see ZML go, but with their monthly change recently changing from $39.90 to over $46.00, MovieBerry is a refreshing change!"

"There's a lot of talk and report about all the movie download sites I review here. ZML being a scam, Tube-Reactor not responding to customers, well if you're after a recommendation, give MovieBerry a go. The site hasn't got the largest selection of movies, Tube-Reactor wins that award. However, the quality of the HD movies is amazing and they have all new releases available."

The scoop on the scams of ZML

" There are lots of reports on the web about ZML being a scam, unsafe, taking unauthorised payments, selling credit card details and whatever else you can think of. So I decided the best way to see how good their site is would be to grab my own credit card and give them a whirl.And you know what? The site is excellent.At first, I was wary, but went in anyway. I registered, which was free to do and then I needed to activate my account. This required my credit card details and a 99¢ fee. Once I had activated my account, the 99¢ gave me access to 10 movie downloads, so I could try out the service and see if I wanted to commit to the $39.90 monthly fee.I found a movie I wanted to download and went for the highest quality possible, 1080p. However, the 10 movies of the trial had to be in DivX quality. In order to get HD movies, I would have to fully activate my account with the first months fee of $39.90. I did this and then downloaded as many movies as my hard drive could hold within the next few days. On a side note, I had no idea how to download all these movies easily. Helpfully, ZML suggest you use a program called 'FlashGet'. I used the link on the ZML site to get to the FlashGet download page and downloaded the program for free. I then used it to download all my movies. The program allowed me to queue downloads and set where they were going to save to. The program also allowed me to set a limit of how much internet it should use while downloading so I could slow it down when I needed some internet speed and speed it back up over night so it could chomp through some movies. The quality of the downloaded movies was exceptional. Not all the films I wanted were available in HD but most of them were. Probably best, as 1080p movies take a lot of space and time to download! But they are more than worth the wait! Movies in 720p, DVD and DivX are all great quality too and more than watchable on my 50" TV.So far, I was really happy with the service. I was finding movies I hadn't seen for years, I'd found hundreds of movies in HD quality and was loving it!Then I checked my bank account. There had been 2 transactions of $39.90 leave my account, rather than one. I contacted ZML straight away, who offered to refund both payments, no questions asked. I then asked if the two transactions had been a mistake. It turns out they were not, I had just missed a check box on the registration screen. In their defence, the check box was in plain site, I was obviously just having a slow day!The check box is to say yes or no to registering to their partner site, FilePie.com. The check box says: 'Also include free 3-day trial access to over 600 000 MP3s and 2000 adult movies'. I didn't uncheck this, so the second charge was for the use of this site.If you're think of using ZML, I would highly recommend them. MovieBerry has always been my site of choice, but after spending more than a healthy amount topping up my balance with them every week, I thought I would go for the unlimited option instead. And it has definitely been worth it! The choice on ZML is amazing, the quality of movies are great, if you can afford the space to store 1080p movies, then do! Their customer support is fantastic and overall, I'm really impressed."
