The Gigabyte Booktop M1305 laptop is apparently nearing its shipping date, and while there doesn’t seem to be anything of real note with the Booktop M1305, one thing does make it kind of special and that’s its docking station.

Apparently when in the docking station the Booktop M1305 takes full advantage of the NVIDIA GeForce GT220 graphics processor making it capable of pushing out HD multimedia or 3D graphics connected to displays.

You may think the Apple Tablet is a done deal but apparently it is far from it as apparently the Apple Tablet remains a “technological unicorn,” which is of course a mythical beast of beauty. Apple as expected admits absolutely nothing.

Apparently in a meeting with media executive which included some from Conde Nast, attendee were made to sign a non-disclosure agreement, and despite this the actual word “Tablet” was never brought up and even hardware wasn’t discussed.

Most Apple Tablet speculation revolves round what’s in it for the user and 3rd parties, but probably the key is what do Apple want from a Tablet, or to put it another way, what’s in it for Steve Jobs? For the full article hit up the source.

Apparently Microsoft has announced they are to push out 6 patches for 18 vulnerabilities next week and will include 3 critical bulletins that affect Microsoft Windows and 2 important bulletins regarding Microsoft Office.

Apparently affected software includes 2007 Microsoft Office System, Office 2004 for Mac, Office 2008 for Mac, Office 2003, Office XP, Server 2008, Vista, Server 2003, XP and Windows 2000 states Microsoft.

November’s patch of 6 patches is in contrast to that of the record number of fixes last month which was 13 bulletins for 34 vulnerabilities.

Word is Dell has now taken the wraps off their new Dell Adamo XPS, the world’s thinnest notebook which measures 340 x 273.9 x 9.9mm and is just thinner than a regular Dell Adamo and weighs in at 1.44kg.

Differing from the regular Dell Adamo, the Dell Adamo XPS is housed in an all aluminium housing and is powered by an Intel 1.4 Core 2 Duo processor and features 4GB DDR3 RAM along with a 128GB SSD, Intel GS45 integrated graphics, 13.4 inch LED display and runs on Windows 7 operating system.

Rumour and speculation on Apple killing off Atom support in a Mac OS X 10.6.2 beta seed may just have been premature as apparently the same source has said a newer build, 10C535 looks to include the support and also intimates the lack of Atom support may have been temporary or even a bug.

Word is Apple code doesn’t deliver any clues to whether the removal was intentional or not, so no explanation on the official front seems to be forthcoming.

What it does mean though is it looks like all Apple need is to flip the switch again and it’s bye bye Atom support, and there is no guarantee Atom support will continue on to the publicly released version of the Snow leopard patch.

MOAP was the codename bestowed on a series of payments Intel made to Dell over 5 years through to January 2007; MOAP was short for Mother of All Programs. Well apparently after $6 billion in payments MOAP has become somewhat of a predicament for Intel.

In a federal antitrust lawsuit, New York Attorney General, Andrew Cuomo says Intel used those payments to coerce computer manufacturers into using Intel chips rather than using AMD chips.

The word is that BlackBerry support for the Celio REDFLY Mobile Companion has now arrived and thus as of today people looking to snap up a REDFLY can download a free driver which will add compatibility for Research In Motion’s BlackBerry Bold 9000, BlackBerry Curve 8900 and the BlackBerry Tour 9630 smartphones.

Apparently BlackBerry compatibility for the Celio REDFLY wasn’t supposed to land until the middle of Q4 but it is here as of right now.

The free driver download is for existing and new REDFLY Mobile Companion C8N and C7 owners and it’s not like the BlackBerry web browser will less painful to use on its larger display, but whatever floats your boat.

A Wal-Mart advert has been leaked which shows they will be offering the HP G60-519WM notebook with a price tag of $298 for the 8th of November which show some specifications, and apparently came up on their Wal-Mart system as $398.

Specs shown for the HP G60-519WM notebook are an Intel Celeron 900 processor; 3GB DDR2 RAM and a 250GB hard drive, 802.11b/g, LightScribe Super Multi double layer optical drive, 15.6 inch HD HP BrightView display, Intel GMA 4500M graphics, and 3USB ports.

The HP G60-519WM also packs Windows 7 Home Premium operating system, and I wonder if that lower price tag has anything to do with the run up to Black Friday?

Apparently Microsoft is introducing a new revamped look to their MSN.com home page in an attempt to stay relevant. The redesign has apparently been in the works for quite some time and does have a resemblance to the one Microsoft was testing in France.

MSN is still number one portal in roughly 25 out of 46 markets and has roughly 600 million unique users across the world with 100 million in the United States where MSN still trails behind Yahoo in the popularity stakes.

Late Tuesday, Microsoft started rolling out the New MSN home page according to Microsoft will become widely available across the US early 2010.
