The last time I had a bird poop on me (on my clothes I think) was few years back while walking in the office compound with Mo-C. Nothing bad happened.

The logical answer is to wash your hair immediately. But what to do about buang sui? ‘ward off bad luck’

My mom and grandma consider having a bird poop on you is bad luck. I was asked to eat mee suah with double boiled eggs to expel any bad luck coming my way.

As much as I like eating eggs, two is too much. But I cleaned the plate nevertheless because I’ve been having some klutzy situation after the poop thingy.

Let’s hope this works!

My grandma told me the old way is to eat the rice that you exchange with a beggar.

p/s: I’m having a restless day and night due to the tooth extraction procedure coming this Friday. I try to think this as a positive thing. A once in a lifetime thingy. Haha

Dentist matter:

After nearly 3 weeks plus, I’ve finally found time to visit the dentist. Haha So far this was the most painful visit. The filling for the upper right tooth have came off. Which means my tooth has been decaying for 3 weeks. Argghh! Mr. Dentist applied some kind of medicine at my decaying tooth (to kill the germ I guess). It was so painful that I wailed all the way back home. It took a while for the painkiller to take effect ma. AND AND AND he booked me for tooth extraction this coming Friday. Oh god! Oh god! My worst nightmare is becoming a reality!!!

I know sooner or later I need to get rid of this tooth. Because a. if I continue with a new filling, the filling will fall off again because the dentist couldn’t sew the filing because this tooth is too deep inside. b. Mr. Dentist said better extract now while he still have half of the tooth left. Yeah the other half of the tooth no longer there… decayed.

Having a bird poop on your head on the afternoon itself does not help the situation. Is this a sign? Bad luck? Good luck?

So dear readers, care to share with me your tooth extraction experience? I need to know how bad or not bad it is. Me scare. Me worry. Me sad.

p/s: I’m going to upgrade this blog. So don’t fret if you see something’s not right. My last failed upgrading attempt still give me the goose bumps.

I’m busy and tired because of the renovation at home. The renovation outside is still on going but at a snail pace aje. Argghh! We’re asking them to paint our house walls too. AND I no longer know where I can put my dog when the workers are around. He’s been to everywhere… places that are usually out of his leagues such as the kitchen and rooms and back road.

Oh then there’s this haywire thing going on with this blog’s smiley. What did I do to make my beloved smilies disappear. Must ask Bryan later whether there is such thing as backup file for comments.php (suspect).

Now what else? My sis are back after a 6 months training stint… somewhere. Hehe Her luggage is full load of NEW CLOTHING & BAGS! Will talk more later.

Right now, I need to catch up with my sleep.

p/s: Apparently the renovation people paid the 2 Indian guys who came asking for money last week. Sad.

Last Sunday afternoon, we had a Chinese man walking into our porch asking for money. Our house is currently under renovation and we don’t have a gate outside you see. So anyone can walk into our porch. He was standing right in front of our ‘inside’ house gate for a very long time, smoking a cigarette and talking in Hokkien.

At first we didn’t realize there was someone outside. Dad was at the living room watching TV and everyone was at the back. Chester was barking but I didn’t bother about it. He sometimes bark at passerby, neighbor’s car, etc. But his barking went on and on so I went outside and check.

I thought the man was looking for my dad so I called dad but once we heard him talking about ‘fa chai’ or something like that we knew he’s asking for money. Quickly I dragged Chester to the back of the house. Dad walked away. I told everyone at the back and we quickly stand beyond this man’s sight.

He waited and waited and waited. And we hid and hid and hid. Finally he’s gone.

Then this morning, two Indian guys in a motorcycle came to our house. One of them came to the ‘inside’ house gate and requested to see the boss. Behind our locked wooden door we told him the boss is not here. Then they were gone. They came back in the afternoon just now according to my grandma.

Do they think we’re loaded because we renovate our house? Of course that is the impression always. Most people have to save money for decades before they have enough to renovate their houses. Hard work!

I don’t think this is the end of them, surely they will come back or maybe another beggar will come asking for money. Just hope we don’t bump into them outside.

Any suggestion what we should do in case we run into them face to face? For me I think we shall ignore them and walk towards a neighbor’s house. Don’t open our house gate. Who knows they will follow us in.
