Even though his suspension was upheld today, Patriots quarterback Tom Brady doesn’t want to leave his legacy up to the court of public opinion. Speaking to CNN’s Rachael Nichols, Brady was emphatic.

“I cheated very hard for everything I have achieved in this league,” he said. “You try covering up all the ways you take shortcuts to the top sometime…it’s hard work and nobody acknowledges that. No good deed goes unpunished I guess.”

Brady will miss four games in 2015 and there has been talk of whether Deflategate would have a negative impact on his legacy.

“I hope it is my legacy,” said Brady “That I came to cheat everyday and brought my lunch box and that no one cheated harder than me. This about so much more than just my deflated balls. It takes committment to do this on a grand scale and to do it consistently. Name one quarterback that has cheated more consistently than me…I thought so.”

Some say that the Patriots’ head coach Bill Bellichick is the one who really masterminds the schemes, but Brady denies it.

Bellichick is a dufus. Have you seen those hoodies he wears? Listen, who has a supermodel for a wife? Yeah, how do you think I got her? Because she loves my personality? No. I won her at cards with an ace up my sleeve. I think it is quite clear who the genius is here.”

When asked how he would spend the time away from football, Brady replied: “Well, I have been practicing counting cards…maybe roll that out in Vegas.”

Shortly after retiring from the Green Bay Packers, Brett Favre’s jersey is thinking about returning to the game. The move comes as no surprise as Brett himself struggled with his own retirement, leaving the Packers and later deciding he wasn’t ready to hang it up. In a press conference Monday, ole number 4 expressed that he too, may have retired too soon.

“I may be threadbare, but I know I can still play, I’m just ready to roll up my sleeves and get back to work.”

The jersey said that it only took one off-season and then with training camp right around the corner, the need to get back on the field just got too strong.

“You know, me and Brett…we’re cut from the same cloth really…he loved to play and I love to play. I mean, my agent tried to talk me out of it but he’s just a stuffed shirt. I told him hey, Tony Canadeo’s ole’ number 3 did it and so can I.”

When asked if he was excited about the prospect of being back on the field within the week, Favre’s jersey replied: “I’m bursting at the seams.”
