<p>So what is this? Where have I been? Well I have been to a lot of places. I have been on holiday. From work, from health and from myself. I have avoided posting, as I have, to be honest, been avoiding exercising. I have kept away from the scales &amp; the body fat monitor. I haven&#8217;t run much, I haven&#8217;t lifted much, I haven&#8217;t written much.</p>
<p>One thing I am doing is not laying blame. I am not blaming my job, my surroundings, or my family. I am not even blaming myself, I am being <a id="aptureLink_6V9w0r3aZ1" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iO3sBulXpVw">very zen</a>  about the last 2 months.</p>
<p>Today is a new day, every can change on a new day. In fact, <a id="aptureLink_vPYaYt6v6y" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkcuF36_vJY">Every Passing Minute is Another Chance to Turn it All Around</a>.</p>
<p>So this is my other chance, this is my second time around. This is me doing things for me, to make me more like the me I think I am.</p>
<p>If you do not attribute blame then you cannot have guilt. If you do not have guilt then you don&#8217;t need to punish yourself for whatever it is that went wrong.</p>
<p><strong>Accept, Re-group, Move on.</strong></p>
<p>This, i think, is my new motto.</p>

<p>Recently I have had a lot of time of on my hands. The nature of my job means I have <a id="aptureLink_G9RdyYWVYw" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZlWvvGeiRQc">13 weeks holiday during a year</a>. Through in the 39 other weeks I work like a <a id="aptureLink_GINcXXMAxz" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troy#Legendary_Troy">Trojan</a>!</p>
<p>In this time I try to relax and rest. The thing that is disturbing me at the minute is that I am sleeping. I am sleeping an awful lot. In the last 4 days I have slept on <a id="aptureLink_sCBekZFD4q" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/sleep">average 11 hours a night</a>. I normally sleep about 6-7 hours.</p>
<p>I am trying to discover the factors that have lead to this need to sleep. These are what I have come up with:</p>
<p><strong>1. Catching up on sleep that has been lost</strong> - From working in a demanding vocation and also living with a 4 year old child I do not have a massive amount of sleep available really. Am I making up for lost time? AmI recovering from sleep deprivation. Are all of those broken nights catching up with me?</p>
<p><strong>2. Dealing with my digestive disorders</strong> - I am semi-diagnosed <a id="aptureLink_kcLBpe1nqx" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gluten%20intolerance">Wheat and Gluten Intolerant</a>. I discovered this at Easter this year, as I ate too much wheat and was bed-ridden for 5 days. This is the most extreme reaction I have ever had to wheat/bread/pasta/pastry. After consultation with my <a id="aptureLink_q0rReZXOek" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General%20Practitioner">GP</a>, I have tried since then to avoid all wheat &amp; gluten and that really worked. The problem is that recently I have let this slip and as I am working less I have been letting my diet slip. Could this be the cause of my over sleeping?</p>
<p><strong>3. Simple Laziness</strong> - I am doing it because I can, not because I need to? As I have the extra time, am I just swinging the lead and being lazy. If I really want to achieve my goals and meet some of my wishes, why am I laid flat on my back counting ZZZ&#8217;s?</p>
<p>What actions can be taken to try and resolve this sleepiness issue?</p>
<p>From research the best things to do are:</p>
<p>1. Develop a night time and morning routine.<br />
2. List some MIT&#8217;s and do them. Straight away.<br />
3. Exercise Regularly.<br />
4. Cut down caffeine.</p>

<p>After completing the <a href="http://canhazfitness.co.uk/2009/07/02/finding-a-destination/">free PDF on 30 wishes</a>, I have taken time to sit down and categorise them into different areas. These are the main areas that I feel I need to personally develop. I have listed the categories and also the <a href="http://canhazfitness.co.uk/2009/07/16/30-wished-items/">initial wishes I listed here</a>.</p>
<p>One thing I have done is decide on the ones that I actually now (after reflection) do not want. Long hair, well I have already done this, and then cut if off for a reason. The reason was, I looked unseasonably stupid.</p>
