I could really have summed this post up with just the first picture. Gwyneth in Tom Ford = perfection. It's simple, glamorous, understated... and there's a cape. A CAPE. So chic. She kills me.

You'll notice a theme in my best dressed choices - a lack of bling. I love that these ladies chose to let the gowns do all the talking and kept the diamonds understated.

Oh - and Mila in Elie Saab? Amazing. Oh, and as I am obsessed with Elie Saab, here are a couple more lovely ladies rocking his glittery gowns:

I've discovered a new designer. She lives in France {but is Canadian, not French!}, she's adorable, and I want to LIVE in her Fall Collection. Pretty print-on-print action, sweet silhouettes, bright tights, and darling jackets. It is a whole lot of girly goodness and I am in looooOoooove! Meet Calla.

Loafers, loafers, loafers! It seems like I'm the only one around without a pair of these snazzy shoes lately - and with Spring {apparently} fast approaching, maybe it's time I change that. The question is... bright? metallic? leopard? bedazzled? How does one make these choices??

I think I'm leaning towards pair #3 for 2 reasons: a. leopard goes with everything, and b. tassels.

Elie Saab always gets me. His Spring Ready to Wear collection wowed on and off the runway. He took the colors the other direction for his Spring Couture collection - going from bright, bright, bright to pretty, pretty pale.

I love the details of this collection. The little bow belts, the sleeves and sheer layers. Can you say Oscars?? {please please please please please!?!}

This is Karl Lagerfeld's take on saggy jeans and slouchy sweatshirts. With dropped waists, stretched necklines and pretty much every shade of blue - he makes slouchy super chic.

I can't get enough of the structured royal blue number with the sparkly blue shoes - it's a little Pan Am, but it works.

AH the Golden Globes. Always a fun night for fashion {and TV and film too I suppose...} But, as usual, I've seen hardly any of the movies and shows that were nominated. Oh well - the red carpet is always the best part of the evening anyway...

We saw lots of reds and peachy nudes stroll down the carpet - from top left:

And I was loving Claire Danes' graphic black and white number by J. Mendel - as well as Zooey Deschanel's Prada gown - although I would have liked it more if she's pulled back her hair...

Rooney, Roony, Rooney, Charlize, Charlize, Charlize. What more can I say about these two - in Nina Ricci and Dior, respectively.

I also adored the soft sparkly numbers we saw on several stars, as well as the drama Evan Rachel Wood brought with FEATHERS.
