Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy New Year!

News:

The regular Saturday morning book sale is taking a holiday until 2012.
The Chico branch library will be undergoing some significant improvements in January, 2012, so the book sale volunteers are waiting to see how that will impact the book sale's time and space.
The Quilt Raffle and the Craft Fair were a success. Thanks for your donations of money and craft items. The Raffle drawing was December 10, 2011, and our winner is very happy. If you didn't win, there is always next year!

The 2011 Quilt Raffle has begun. The wild animal quilt from Annie's Star Quilt Guild is being raffled off as a fundraiser for the Children's Library. Come see it at the library and buy a raffle ticket or ten.

CFOL Members-Only Book Sale at the library, November 4, 2-4pm. This is an excellent opportunity to browse fiction, history, cook books, children's books, and more. Make some purchases and then tell your friends what is available. The book sale is clearly the best bargain in Chico.

CFOL is sponsoring a team at the 2011 Trivia Bee for Literacy. Do come join the fun, win prizes, cheer the CFOL team to victory! November 18 at The Palms, 2947 Nord Ave, Chico.

The annual Chico Friends of the Library Holiday Craft Fair is November 19, at 2pm, after the book sale. Bring your items for re-gifting and your hand crafted items to the library so they can be included in the sale to raise money for the Children's Library.

Our weekly book sale is popular, so get there early.

There are wild animals on the 2011 Quilt from Annie's Star Quilt Guild. It is being raffled off as a fundraiser for the Children's Library. Come see it at the library!
Save the Date: October 15, 2011, is the annual Fall Festival, fun for kids and adults. Fun for the family promotes the love of reading and the library. Enjoy the children's book swap; meet local authors games and prizes; visite the Literacy Coach; listen and dance to the Alice Peake Experience.

July 4th is upon us

No Book Sale on July 4th Weekend... finally, the faithful book sale volunteers get a weekend off. Thanks book sale volunteers. Enjoy. (The library is open on Saturday, but closed on Monday.)

Save the Date: August 30, 2011 is a Fundraiser at Logans Roadhouse. More information to come.

In celebration of February being national Love Your Library month, the Chico, Durham, Gridley, Oroville, and Paradise Friends of the Library are once again joining with Barnes & Nobel Booksellers by hosting a bookfair at the Chico Barnes & Noble store.
